Abstract

Stroke is a serious neurological disorder, ranks high cause of death after cardiovascular disease and cancer that isinfluenced by many risk factors such as uncontrollable factors such as age, sex, race, and controllable factors such ashistory of hypertension, history of diabetes mellitus, obesity and cholesterol. This study aims to determine how thedescription of risk factors for stroke in Rejosari Pekanbaru Health Center. This study is a descriptive study usingsecondary data of stroke patients. Data taken in the form of education, occupation, age, gender, race, history ofhypertension, history of diabetes mellitus, obesity and cholesterol, research sample are all stroke patients coming toRejosari Pekanbaru Health Center that meet Inclusion Criteria. The results showed the highest proportion of strokewas ischemic stroke (93.3%), high school education (26.7%), and worked as private (50%). The highest uncontrollablerisk factors were age 51-65 years (50%), male gender (66.3%), history of hypertension (73.3%), no history of diabetesmellitus (56.7%). obesity (63.3%) and cholesterol (66.7%) .The researcher hoped that the result of this research can beused as input for health workers, especially the nurses who work in Puskesmas Rejosari Pekanbaru to provideinformation about the causes of stroke to stroke patients.Keywords: Risk factors, Stroke, ischemic

Abstract

Abstrak Every fertile woman will menstruate, which normally complain of symptoms of the first two days. The most common physicial symptom is dysmenorrhoea. This study was aimed to determine the effectiveness of Tauma herbal drink in intensity of dysmenorrhoea. The design of this research study was "Quasy experiment" with "Non-equivalent control group" which is divided into an experimental group and a control group. The study was conducted on student school of nursing, University of Riau. Total sample were30 students who fit the inclusion criteria and using simple purposive sampling technique. Measuring instruments are used sheets observasion numeric scale. The analysis used  univariate and bivariate analysis by independent sample t test and dependent sample t test. The results showed a decrease in the intensity of dysmenorrhoea in the experimental group after given Tauma herbal drink with p value (0.000) <α (0.05). This means that Tauma herbal drink was effective to reduce the intensity of dysmenorrhoea. Tauma herbal drink can reduce dysmenorrhea in non-pharmacological which can be practiced independently, so it was suggested to students who have other family members or neighbors can use complementary therapies to reduce pain intensity of dysmenorrhoea. Abstract

The last stage of the human life is elderly signed with some physical and psychocosocial changes. The main social problem that occurs in almost all elderly is the decrease in social interaction. This study aimed to analyze social interactions that occur in the elderly who live in the community. This study used descriptive research design with cross sectional approach. The sample of this study were 100 respondents taken based on inclusion criteria using purposive sampling technique. The results showed the majority of research subjects aged 60-74 years old (97%), female (78%), moslems (95%), ethnic Minang (40%), married (49%), graduated from high school (45%). Most of the elderly were retired (48%), and the majority of elderly people have a history of DM (27%). Descriptive test results show the social interaction of the elderly were medium category (84%). Elderly social interaction with family showed moderate (73%), social interaction of the elderly with neighbors showed moderate (54%), social interaction with the community showed moderate (81%), and social interaction of the elderly with fellow elderly with moderate (83%). It is expected that the health center can mobilize every Posbindu to regularly review the social interactions of the elderly in the community and for nurses in providing health promotion about the benefits of social interaction in the elderly in the community. Abstract

Abstract This study aims to identify the description of  becoming a mother readiness among early marriage teenager. A descriptive study was conducted amongst 30 teenager in Bukit Kapur district, Dumai, from December 2016 to January 2017. The instruments used was a questionnare which is developed by researcher. Descriptive statistics was used to  analyse data to identify teenager’s readiness about becoming a mother.  The result showed that 60% of respondents education is senior high school, a house wife 66.7%, age 18 years old about 40%. All of the respondents had been married for 1 year, and age of marriage was 17 years old. This research shows that more than fifty percents of respondents has not already married in young age (53.3%). The findings suggest that health education on preparing marriage readiness, pregnancy and childbirth are needed and recomended as one of health promotions to reduce early marriage problems. Keywords: becoming a mother readiness, early marriage, teenager

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the description of the level of sexual satisfaction husband andwife with wife undergoing treatment of cervical cancer. The study design was descriptive involving 30couples. The sampling method is accidental sampling. The measuring tool used is a questionnaire that hasbeen tested for validity and reliability. The analysis used is univariate analysis. The results of the researchbased on the characteristics of respondents showed that most of the respondents were elderly (60.0%),housewife (46.7%), primary school (35.0%), stage II (43,3%) , chemotherapy (46.6%). The level ofsatisfaction of majority wife is not satisfied (73,3%), and husband majority is not satisfied (63,3%). Theresults of this study recommend that nurses can perform sexual counseling for couples to enhance therelationship of intimacy (intimacy).Keywords: cervical cancer, sexual satisfaction, treatment.

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of acupressure at the point of the pericardium 6 to decrease the frequency of vomiting in patients with dyspepsia. This research design was Quasy Experiment with "Non - Equivalent Control Group." Total sample were 30 people, 15 of the respondents were the experimental group and 15 respondents a control group using a sampling technique by simple random sampling with regard inclusion criteria. Measuring instrument used the observation sheet. The analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis with Wilcoxon and Mann Whitney test. The Mann Whitney test showed no significant difference between the frequency of vomiting after acupressure given in the experimental group and the control group was obtained p value = 0.08 (p value> 0.05). While based analysis using the Wilcoxon test showed the influence of a decrease in the frequency of vomiting with p value = 0.004 (p value <0.05). Based on the results of this study, we researchers expected to provide information to develop further research about the other benefits of acupressure at the point pericardium 6 on health with more samples. Abstract

This research describes about factors that influence adolescent attitudes toward premarital sex . methodology on this research was a survey design with cross sectional approach. The sample in this research are 200 students SMA N 1 Cerenti with stratified random sampling technique. Measuring instruments was used a questionnaire. The analysis was used univariate and bivariate analysis by Chi-Square test. The results showed that there is have relationship between knowledge and adolescent attitudes toward premarital sex with p value > 0.05 is 0.024 but there was no relationship between peer and adolescent attitudes toward premarital sex with p value = 1.000, there is no relationship of parents and adolescent attitudes toward premarital sex with p value = 0.880 and no relationship of resources and adolescent attitudes toward premarital sex with a P value = 1.000. The results of this research are expected in the school in order to provide education about reproductive health and sexuality education through formal or extracurricular lessons related to sexuality , and to the parents in order to guide and give knowledge about sex to their children growing up. Abstract

HIV testing service called Voluntary Counseling and Testing (VCT) is a service that can be accessed easily by WPS, to know their HIV status and their behavioral change in HIV prevention. This study was qualitative research with phenomenology of approach. The purpose of this study was to describe experience of WPS in doing VCT in Jondul Localization. Four participants were selected by purposive sampling method and data were collected by in-depthinterview which completed by field note and analyzed by Colaizzi method. This study identified four major themes: (1) understanding about HIV/AIDS, (2) understanding of VCT (3) hope of keep doing VCT implementation (4) the risks of working as WPS. All of participants got information about HIV/AIDS or sexual transmitted diseases when they did VCT, it was useful to behavioral change and preventive efforts. Through this information, the WPS can knew about her HIV statues, treatment, and feels cared by health workers. Partisipants realized that their work is high risk to infected by HIV/AIDS, so used condom during working and refuse customers that didn’t want to use condom. Beside that, WPS plan to stop working as a preventive efforts. Some hopes from WPS in VCTimplementation, especially for the government that VCT continues to be implemented. The results of this study recommends to WPS for routinely undergo VCT, and recommended to health workers to keep continually preventive efforts by VCT to minimizing the incidence of HIV/AIDS.Keywords: HIV/AIDS, VCT, Women Sexual Workers.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe spirituality in social residence Khusnul Khotimah. This research uses a simple descriptive method. The number of samples in this research were 39 elderly people in social residence Khusnul Khotimah Pekanbaru taken by using purposive sampling technique. The data were collected by a questionnaire that consist of 28 questions. Analysis of this research used univariate and frequency distribution. This study use questionnaire spirituality which created by Amir Syam and have the validity tested and reliability. The results showed that 59.0% of elderly have a high spirituality and 41.0% of elderly had low spirituality. Based on the result of this study, it is suggested to the social residence Khusnul Khotimah to provide holistic services to the elderly so that problems that arise in the elderly, especially spirituality can be identified quickly and is expected to prepare health workers, especially rnurses gerontic to provide nursing care related to spirituality, so elderly will be able to maintain their spirituality. Abstract

Abstract This aimsof this research is to determine the factors that influence of the incidence of premarital sex among female adolescents. Methodology on this research was a descriptive correlative with cross sectional approach. The sample in this research are 118female adolescents in Senior High School 1 South North Pagai Mentawai Islands with stratified sampling technique.Measuring instrumentwas useda questionnaire. The analysis was usedunivariateandbivariateanalysisbyChi-squared test.The results showedthat effect ofpressurefromfriendswith p-value0.025andpovertyinfluence onpremaritalsexwith ap-value<0.05, namely 0.002, while the influenceof pressurefromboyfriends, parental attitudes, shiftingcultural, moralandethicalas well asknowledgehas no effect onpremaritalsex.
