Abstract

Abstract The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between family support and coping mechanism to post operation mastectomy patients at Anyelir and Cendrawasih I RSUD Arifin Achmad Pekanbaru. This research use correlation descriptive design with cross sectional approximation research method. Sample of this research are 30 respondents by accidental sampling technique. Measuring tools in this research are questionnaire. Data analysis is done by univariate and bivariate analyze with Chi-Square test. Result of research show that there is relationship between family support and coping mechanism to post operation mastectomy patients with p value 0,030 (p value < 0,05). This result likely could be good contribute to medical personnel in leading because, there was a significant family support to post operation mastectomy patients. Abstract

The aims of this research was to identify of correlation between knowledge and behavior of the frequency of occurrence of skin diseases on society Kuantan River users. The design is a correlation with cross sectional approach. The sample was 65 respondents taken based on inclusion criteria using purposive sampling. Measuring instrument used a questionnaire after Validity (knowledge p=0,585>0,444 and behavior p=0,546>0,444) and reliability test (knowledge p=0,969>0,444 and behavior p=0,937>0,444). The univariate analysis was done by looking at the distribution of frequency and bivariate analysis was done by using chi-square test. The results showed less knowledge (73,3%) respondents about skin diseases with frequency occurrence 1-4 times in years. Statistic results showed no correlation between knowledge and the frequency of occurrence of skin diseases p value 1,000 (α > 0,05), Odds Ratio 1,455.  The results showed also who had bad behavior about used Kuantan River (29,5%) with frequency occurrence of skin diseases 1-4 times in years. Statistic test showed p value 0,001 < 0,05, there is a correlation between the behavior of the frequency of occurrence of skin diseases with OR 0,145. To minimize of high of the to frequency occurrence of skin disease, Koto Benai community don’t use Kuantan’s River Water to activity everyday. Abstract

Abstract This study aims to describe the public perception to people with HIV/AIDS. This research method is descriptive survey. This study conducted in the community society of Rejosari Village, District of Tenayan Raya, Pekanbaru City. The amount of samples were 93 respondents that appropriate with inclusion criteria and using simple random sampling technique. This research used questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The analysis was used univariate analysis. The results showed that most of the respondents had a negative perception (68,8%) about people who have HIV/AIDS. The result is expected to the public to change the perceptions about HIV/AIDS, so not to be hated the infected person but hate the disease to make people with HIV/AIDS.can improve their quality of life and can live decently together with other communities. Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the correlation between spiritual intelligence and self-image in post mastectomy breast cancer women. The research used the correlation method with cross sectional approach. It was conducted by studying 30 respondents in Surgical Oncology Polyclinic of Arifin Achmad Hospital Pekanbaru using accidental sampling technique. The research used a questionnaire consisting of 27 questions for spiritual intelligence and 15 questions for self-image which already been tested for it's validity and reliability. The analysis was bivariate analysis using Chi Square test. The results showed that there was no correlation between spiritual intelligence and self-image within post-mastectomy breast cancer patients (p value 1,000 > 0,05). The results of this research is suggested to be used by the hospitals to improve their quality of service and procedure by using a holistic approach, which mean to observe the post-mastectomy patients from the biological, psychological, social and spiritual point of view so that negative self-image can be prevented. Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and support of the family in the treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis in Puskesmas Sasak Kabupaten Pasaman. This research used descriptive research design correlation with cross sectional approach. Number of samples was 46 samples taken using consecutive sampling. Measuring instrument used was a questionnaire with 28 statements that have been tested its validity and reliability. The analysis used was a univariate analysis distribution frequency test and bivariate with Chi-square test. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between knowledge and support of the family in the treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis in Puskesmas Sasak Kabupaten Pasaman with p-value = 0.000 where p-value < alpha (p-value <0.05). Based on these results, it is expected the patient and the family to follow advice and methods for treatment and adhere to treatment for 6 months or as recommended by health workers so that can decrease prevalence of pulmonary TB incidence rates. Abstract

Growth is an indicator of the health status of children. The factors that affect sosio-economic are education, occupation, income, and number of family dependents. The purpose of this study was to determine the socioeconomic factors that affect the growth of toddlers in the Banjar tribal in Tempuling, Indragiri Hilir District. The design of this study was descriptive correlation with cross sectional approach. Sample of this study was 130 respondents using total sampling techniques. The measuring instrument used was a questionnaire. The analysis used was univariate and bivariate analysis with chi square test and the alternative kolmogorov smirnov test with α = 0.05. The results showed that mothers of children under five years were 26-35 years (56.5%), all respondents were moslem (100%), age of the toddlers were 13-36 months (66.9%), majority of toddlers were male (56.2%), majority of respondents were low education (70%), occupation of head of families were in informal sector (60.8%), the income was under the minimum wage (72,3%), number of family dependents were 1-3 families (75.4%), toddlers growth status based on TB/U at normal category (67.7%) and based on BB/U at normal category (61.5%). Bivariate analysis show that there is a significant correlation between occupation and income with toddlers growth (TB/U), but there is no correlation between education, occupation, and number of family dependents with toddlers growth (BB/U).Keywords: growth,social-economic factors,toddlers

Abstract

Abstract Spirituality nursing care is important because it could be influenced to guide health of daily living, improvement, as source of support for patients to face their disease. This research aims to know the description of spirituality nursing care on breast cancer patients. The design of this research was descriptive. The number of samples in this research were 20 nurses taken by using total sampling technique. The result of this research showed that there were 16 nurses didn’t make the assessment (80%), 18 nurses didn’t make nursing diagnose (90%), all of the nurses didn’t make nursing plan (100%), 16 nurses not done nursing implementation (80%),  and 19 nurses not done evaluation (95%). The result of the analysis showed that spirituality nursing care was not implemented optimally. This could be caused by there is no regulation from manager to implement spirituality nursing care. Based on this study to give suggestion to nurses manager in hospital to make policy about spiritual as a part of nursing process and to nursing institutions can be collaborate to improve nursing spiritual care. Abstract

The purpose of the research is  to analize the effectivity of combination labu siam steamer therapy and anti stroke exercises for reduce blood pressure to patiens hypertension. The research used quasy experiment design with non-equivalent control group which divided into experimental group and control group. Sample of this research is 30 people divided into 19 people as the experimental group and 19 people as a control group. Sample in this research taken using purposive sampling of techniques sampling which selected based on inclusion criteria. The equipment was used to measure blood pressure is sphygmomanometer. The experimental group were given interventions with combination labu siam steamer therapy and anti stroke exercises on every morning in three days. Data  analysis applied were univariate and bivariate using dependent sample t test and independent sample t test. The result of the reearch showed that mean of the average systolic and diastolic blood pressure before given combination labu siam steamer therapy and anti stroke exercises was 151.23 mmHg and 94.74 mmHg. While mean of the average systolic and diastolic blood pressure after a given combination labu siam steamer therapy and anti stroke exercises of 143.16 mmHg and 89.82 mmHg were mean blood pressure decreased significantly after intervention given by p value  0,000 (<0,05). The conclusion of combination labu siam steamer therapy and anti stroke exercises can reduce blood pressure for patients hypertension. Keywords: anti stroke exercises, hypertension, labu siam.

Abstract

Abstract This research conducted to determine the correlation between role of parents among  school-age children’s psychosocial development. The research used the correlation method with cross sectional approach. It was conducted on 75 parents who are in RW 11 villages Tuah Karya sub-district Tampan Pekanbaru by using purposive sampling technique. The research was a questionnaire, observation sheets, and interviews. The analysis used was univariate and bivariate analysis using Chi-Square. The result showed that there was a realationship between the role of parents with school-age children’s psychosocial development with significance of 0,05 is obtained p value < 0,05 it is 0,000. The results of this study expected to be good information for public health teams and parents in order to increasse attention to the development of children , especially in children of school age . Abstract

Abstract   The purpose of this research was to determine the influence Swedish massage therapy to quality of sleep for elderly. The design of this research was “Pre experimental design one group only” designed by “One group pre test-post test”. The research has been conducted in the Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha Khusnul Khotimah at Pekanbaru. The sample were 34 respondents who fit the inclusion criteria and chosen by purposive sampling technique. Measuring instrument that using questionnaire of Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). Implementation of Swedish massage theraphy has been did in thirty minutes and during three days in a row. The analysis has been used univariate and bivariate by using Wilcoxon test. The result showed that there was a significant variance of sleep quality in elderly which has given Swedish massage with p value (0.000) < α (0.05). It can be concluded that the Swedish massage therapy was influence to improve the quality of sleep for elderly. Based on this research the Swedish massage therapy can be used as a non pharmacological therapy to increase sleep quality of elderly. Keyword: Elderly, Swedish massage, quality of sleep
