Abstract

The accumulation of inorganic waste in urban environments requires inno- vative technological solutions that support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production). Smart waste management systems integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) have emerged as promising digital innovations to improve waste sorting efficiency. This study presents the development of a smart waste sorting system called Orange Box, designed to support sustainable startup initiatives in environmental technology. A major challenge in deploying IoT-based devices in outdoor public areas is the limited availability of conventional electrical infrastructure, where reliance on extension cables is inefficient and potentially unsafe. Therefore, this research aims to design and evaluate an independent off-grid electrical system based on renewable energy to ensure continuous operation of the device. The proposed system utilizes solar panels as the primary energy source, with energy conversion and distribution managed through a 500W inverter and a 20A Power Supply Unit (PSU) that supplies power to a Raspberry Pi 5–based control system. Experimental measurements indicate that the system operates with an average power consumption of approximately 10–12W and reaches a peak load of 17.17W during active waste sorting operations. The estimated daily energy consumption ranges from 288Wh to 338Wh when considering inverter efficiency. These findings demonstrate that integrating renewable energy infrastructure with IoT-based smart waste sorting technology represents a viable digital innovation to support sustainable startups while contributing to SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy).

Abstract

The rapid expansion of large scale computer networks driven by cloud infrastructures, Internet of Things environments, and distributed digital services has significantly increased the complexity of cybersecurity threats. Traditional rule based security systems often struggle to detect evolving and previously unseen attacks within high volume network traffic. This study proposes a self learning artificial intelligence approach designed to enhance threat detection capability in large scale computer networks by leveraging adaptive learning mechanisms and large scale network data analysis. The proposed framework integrates machine learning models with big data processing techniques to continuously learn from network traffic patterns, behavioral anomalies, and historical security events. Through automated feature extraction and iterative model refinement, the system dynamically improves its ability to identify malicious activities without relying solely on predefined signatures. This study adopts a qualitative conceptual evaluation approach to examine the proposed self-learning artificial intelligence and big data framework for cybersecurity resilience in distributed computer networks. The evaluation is conducted through literature synthesis, comparative analysis of existing intrusion detection approaches, architectural modeling, and conceptual validation of the proposed framework against key cybersecurity requirements, including adaptability, scalability, continuous learning, and detection coverage for known and unknown threats. The system also shows strong scalability in processing high volume network data while maintaining stable detection performance. These results indicate that integrating self learning artificial intelligence with scalable data processing can strengthen cybersecurity resilience in large scale computer networks and support the development of more adaptive and intelligent network defense mechanisms for future digital infrastructures.

Abstract

Rapid development of digital technology requires startupreneurs to optimize marketing strategies to strengthen consumer loyalty, particularly in emerging industries such as 3D Laser services. This study aims to analyze the effect of DAGMAR based digital marketing, represented by Brand Awareness, Product Information Understanding, and Digital Content Attractiveness, on Product Interest and its implication for Purchase Loyalty in the 3D Laser startupreneur context. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method involving 100 respondents. The collected data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) to examine the direct and indirect relationships among the research variables. The findings indicate that Brand Awareness, Product Information Understanding, and Digital Content Attractiveness have positive and significant effects on Product Interest. Furthermore, Product Interest has a positive and significant effect on Purchase Loyalty. The mediation test also confirms that Product Interest significantly mediates the relationship between the three independent variables and Purchase Loyalty. These results emphasize that Product Interest serves as a psychological mechanism connecting DAGMAR  based digital marketing strategies with longterm consumer loyalty. Enhancing Brand Awareness helps consumers recognize and recall the brand, while Product Information Understanding supports informed decision making through clear and relevant product details. Digital Content Attractiveness captures attention and encourages engagement through visual and interactive content. Practically, startupreneurs in the 3D Laser industry should integrate data driven digital marketing strategies to build stronger consumer relationships, encourage repeat purchases, and foster positive word-of-mouth for sustainable business growth.

Abstract

The increasing integration of gamification into mobile applications has transformed digital platforms into interactive environments that shape users emotional experiences. Within the framework of positive computing, gamified mobile applications are increasingly designed not only to enhance engagement but also to foster psychological well-being. This study investigates how gamified mobile applications function as drivers of user happiness in positive computing environments. A quantitative research design was employed using survey data collected from 120 active users of gamified mobile applications across diverse demographic backgrounds. Key gamification elements rewards, challenges, feedback mechanisms, and social interaction were modeled as predictive constructs of user happiness. Happiness levels were measured using a validated well-being scale, and the proposed relationships were examined through structural equation modeling (SEM). The findings indicate that gamified mobile applications exert a significant positive influence on user happiness, with reward systems and social interaction emerging as the strongest contributors. These results suggest that gamification operates as an affective design mechanism that enhances enjoyment, intrinsic motivation, and perceived social connectedness. The study contributes to the positive computing literature by providing empirical evidence that thoughtfully designed gamified systems can promote emotional well-being beyond functional performance outcomes. Practically, the findings offer strategic guidance for developers and policymakers seeking to design mobile applications that prioritize sustainable happiness and human-centered digital innovation.

Abstract

Universities are under pressure to modernize how they manage their campuses, and Digital Twin (DT) technology, a continuously updated virtual replica of a physical campus environment, has become one of the most closely watched tools for doing this. Interest in the topic is growing quickly across education-technology, cybersecurity, and digital-infrastructure journals, yet much of the evidence remains scattered across single-institution case studies. This study brings that evidence together through a qualitative systematic literature review of studies published between 2021 and 2025, combined with verified, real-world implementation data from universities in Spain, the United Kingdom, the United States, Thailand, and South Korea. The reviewed case studies report improvements in facility optimization, energy efficiency, classroom utilization, and emergency response planning, with documented energy savings ranging from about 5% under baseline automation upgrades to more than 60% for targeted lighting control. Infrastructure investment, system interoperability, data privacy, and cybersecurity remain significant barriers, particularly for resource-constrained institutions. To help close the gap between research findings and practical adoption, this paper proposes a five-layer DT smart-campus architecture and a tiered cost-adoption framework, and connects the findings to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 4, 7, 9, and 11, as well as to Indonesian national research and higher-education digitalization policy. Overall, DT technology offers strong, empirically supported potential for smart campus development, provided it is backed by adequate digital infrastructure, interoperability standards, and governance.
