Abstract

Organic rice is increasingly in demand, especially due to the impact of COVID-19, which has increased public awareness of health and raised more concern for the environment. This organic rice also functions to maintain a country's food security and has nutritional content that is free from synthetic chemicals, making it good for health. Although the market prospects for organic rice are quite promising, the marketing process still faces various challenges, such as price fluctuations, limited market access, and a lack of understanding from farmers regarding effective marketing strategies, which are obstacles in expanding the organic rice market. In addition, the large price difference between producers (farmers) and each marketing chain causes farmers' profits to be less than optimal and can reduce consumer interest. Therefore, a study is needed on the effectiveness of marketing channels and strategies that can increase the competitiveness of organic rice products in the market. This study aims to analyze the margins in organic rice marketing channels, as well as to analyze their efficiency. The method used in this study is the library research method (literature study). The results of the survey indicate that relatively high selling prices still constrain organic rice marketing due to inefficient marketing channels and limited distribution networks to the market. Therefore, strategies for marketing channels and determining the right partnerships are needed to increase organic rice marketing. Additionally, the government needs to support market access, provide incentives for farmers, and expand education about the importance of organic products. With a more effective marketing strategy, it is hoped that organic rice can achieve higher competitiveness in both domestic and international markets.

Abstract

The existence of SiLPA (Excess Budget Calculation) in village financial management is an abstract thing that can indicate a surplus village financial condition but also indicates that the absorption of budget could be more optimal. Being the region in Bali Province with the lowest SiLPA ratio in 2018 and 2019, Tabanan Regency has demonstrated budget management capabilities despite the large number of villages in its area. The impact of village financial management also affects the development of village agriculture, which is the primary employment in Tabanan, the title of Bali's main rice barn. This study examined the relationship and influence of village revenue and expenditure on SiLPA and the causes of SiLPA in Tabanan Regency. This research is confirmatory research with GSCA analysis that used to analyze the relationship and influence of village income and expenditure on SiLPA in Tabanan Regency. Meanwhile, qualitative descriptive analysis is used to examine the causes of SiLPA in Tabanan Regency.The results show that P1, P3, and B5 matter positively affect S. Meanwhile, P2 and B1 have a negative effect on S. The causes of SiLPA are dominated by force majeure and planning.

Abstract

Optimizing chickens as an economic resource to provide maximum income for farmers and their families requires farmers with entrepreneurial competence. To improve the performance of chicken farming businesses, in addition to entrepreneurial competence, farm owners also need enhanced communication skills to navigate the internal and external business environment. This study aims to examine the internal and external environment, entrepreneurial competence, communication, and performance of chicken farm owners in Tabanan Regency and test the effectiveness of communication as a mediating variable between the internal environment, external environment, and entrepreneurial competence on the performance of layer chicken farming businesses in Tabanan Regency. The study was conducted in three villages: Jatiluwih, Senganan, and Babahan in Penebel District, Tabanan Regency. The sample consisted of 30 out of 51 farmers with the criterion of keeping more than 6,000 chickens. The analysis method was divided based on research objectives: the first objective was analyzed using descriptive analysis with class interval calculations, and the second was analyzed using Generalized Structured Component Analysis (GSCA). The results showed that layer chicken farming businesses in Penebel District, Tabanan, exhibited good performance with effective organizational communication and entrepreneurial competence, despite facing internal, external, and research-development challenges. Furthermore, the communication model as a mediating variable is effective in layer chicken farming businesses, indicating that communication plays a crucial role in enhancing performance by effectively mediating changes in the external environment.  Entrepreneurial competence and the internal environment also directly contribute to performance without requiring extensive communication.

Abstract

AbstrakUsahatani melon (Curcumis melo L.) merupakan usaha hortikultura komersial yang memiliki peluang keuntungan besar, terutama dengan metode hidroponik. Namun, produksi melon mengalami fluktuasi tahunan akibat faktor cuaca, hama, penyakit, pasar, dan manusia, yang dapat mempengaruhi keberlanjutan usaha. Oleh karena itu, analisis pendapatan dan risiko dalam usahatani melon hidroponik menjadi penting. Budidaya melon hidroponik bertujuan mengurangi risiko yang mempengaruhi pendapatan petani. Setiap varietas melon memiliki karakteristik serupa, sehingga sumber risiko juga cenderung sama. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka dengan mengumpulkan, mengolah, dan menyimpulkan data dari berbagai literatur seperti buku dan jurnal. Usahatani melon di Indonesia menunjukkan prospek yang menjanjikan dengan tingkat keuntungan yang cukup baik. Hidroponik menawarkan efisiensi lahan dan hasil lebih cepat, tetapi tetap menghadapi tantangan risiko. Meskipun risiko tidak dapat dihilangkan sepenuhnya, dapat diminimalkan dengan pemanfaatan teknologi, penanganan intensif, serta penggunaan input berkualitas seperti benih unggul dan pestisida. Upaya mengatasi risiko meliputi: (1) diversifikasi produk untuk mengurangi ketergantungan pada satu jenis tanaman, (2) manajemen risiko dengan strategi pencegahan, dan (3) dukungan pemerintah dalam penyediaan infrastruktur dan kebijakan.Kata kunci: Pendapatan, risiko, melon, hidroponik.AbstractMelon farming (Curcumis melo L.) is a commercial horticultural business that has great profit potential, especially with the hydroponic method. However, melon production experiences annual fluctuations due to weather, pests, diseases, markets, and human factors, which can affect business sustainability. Therefore, income and risk analysis in hydroponic melon farming is important. Hydroponic melon cultivation aims to reduce risks that affect farmers' income. Each melon variety has similar characteristics, so the sources of risk also tend to be the same. This study uses a literature study method by collecting, processing, and concluding data from various literature such as books and journals. Melon production in Indonesia continues to increase, providing profit opportunities for farmers. Hydroponics offers land efficiency and faster results, but still faces risk challenges. Although risks cannot be completely eliminated, they can be minimized by utilizing technology, intensive handling, and the use of quality inputs such as superior seeds and pesticides. Efforts to overcome risks include: (1) product diversification to reduce dependence on one type of crop, (2) risk management with prevention strategies, and (3) government support in providing infrastructure and policies.Keywords: Income, risk, melon, hydroponic.

Abstract

The Edelweiss Park agrotourism is a leading agrotourism developed as a tourist attraction in Karangasem Regency. The component of agro-tourism attraction is essential to note for the sustainability of Edelweiss Park agrotourism. Attributes are one of the components of the agrotourism attraction of Edelweiss Park which consists of attractions, facilities, accessibility, and hospitality. This study aimed to look at the types of attractions, availability of facilities, accessibility, and the level of hospitality in Taman Edelweiss agrotourism. This research was carried out at the Edelweiss Park agrotourism, Banjar Dinas Temukus, Besakih Village, Rendang District, Karangasem Regency. The sampling technique used was purposive with a sample of 100 visitor respondents who had finished their activities in Taman Edelweiss agrotourism. The data analysis technique used is descriptive quantitative and descriptive qualitative analysis techniques. The results showed that the respondents strongly agreed and agreed with the types of attractions provided by Taman Edelweiss agrotourism. Respondents also strongly agreed and agreed with the facilities provided by Taman Edelweiss agrotourism. Furthermore, respondents felt they decided, were neutral, and even disagreed with the accessibility to Taman Edelweiss agrotourism. Finally, the respondents agree with the level of hospitality in Edelweiss Park agrotourism.

Abstract

This research aims to inspect the role of agrarian cultural values in mediating the influence of destination brand awareness, association, image, quality, and satisfaction on destination brand equity and expand the Jatiluwih Rice Terraces branding by including cultural aspects by considering visitors' points of view regarding destination brand awareness, association, image, quality and satisfaction. This research was using Latent Variable Analysis (Lavaan) to analyze data. The number of samples in this study was determined to be 68 respondents. The data collection technique through interviews with questionnaire tools starts from measuring variables which are carried out by creating indicators to prevent deviations from the main problem. This paper provides empirical insight into how agrarian cultural values are influenced as a mediating variable. This shows that agrarian cultural values are not the reason why visitors visit Jatiluwih Rice Terraces. However, it can be seen that the more satisfied visitors are, the greater their curiosity about the agricultural and cultural values. The study's findings might not broadly apply because of the selected research methodology. As a result, researchers are encouraged to test the suggested theories further. This article contains implications for developing agrarian cultural values, namely by collaborating with the tour guide, and providing provision or training so that the tour guide is able to explain the cultural values of the Jatiluwih Rice Terraces. Apart from that, the management of Jatiluwih Rice Terraces can add in-depth cultural information on the website and flayer which will be given to visitors at the entrance.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the competitiveness, and the factors influencing competitiveness, and to determine the position of Indonesian coffee exports in the international market in 2001-2022. The coffee product analyzed used HS code 0901. This research employed three calculation methods: Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) to measure comparative advantage, the Error Correction Model (ECM) to identify the factors affecting competitiveness, and the Trade Specialization Index (TSI) to determine the position of Indonesian coffee exports. The RCA value of this study indicated that coffee commodities have a comparative advantage with a value >1. The Trade Specialization Index (TSI) value showed that Indonesian coffee commodities are in the maturation stage, with a value of 0.9 < TSI ≤ 1. The ECM analysis indicated that competitiveness factors, export value, export volume, and GDP have an impact on the competitiveness of Indonesian coffee in the international market.

Abstract

Indonesian palm sugar commodities still face challenges such as household-scale production industries, lack of farmers’ knowledge, and quality standard compliance. There is a need to improve the processing industry and quality to meet national and international standards. This study analyzes and evaluates the competitiveness of Indonesian palm sugar in the international market using secondary data from 1998-2022 with quantitative descriptive statistics methods. Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) analysis shows that Indonesian palm sugar was not competitive from 1998 to 2010, with a value of <1, but became competitive from 2011 to 2022 with a value of >1. Error Correction Model (ECM) analysis reveals that factors affecting the competitiveness of palm sugar were export volume and export price, while the exchange rate of Rupiah to US Dollar and Indonesia’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita had no impact. The competitive position of Indonesian palm sugar using Export Product Dynamic (EPD) shows an average position of falling star, followed by rising star, retreat, and lost opportunity.

Abstract

TikTok adalah platform audio visual berformat video pendek interaktif dengan 1,04 miliar pengguna aktif. Selain sebagai hiburan, platform ini juga dimanfaatkan sebagai sarana edukasi yang efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan pengguna. Namun, konten pertanian masih kurang diminati dibandingkan kategori konten populer lainnya. Mengingat pentingnya pertanian bagi ketahanan pangan, optimalisasi TikTok sebagai media edukasi diperlukan. Sehingga tujuan penyusunan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan TikTok sebagai sarana edukasi pertanian dalam bentuk konten yang efektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka (library research) dengan tiga tahapan utama yaitu merencanakan telaah pustaka, melakukan tinjauan pustaka, dan melaporkan tinjauan pustaka. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan TikTok yang merupakan platform media sosial buatan ByteDance, tidak hanya digunakan untuk hiburan tetapi juga sebagai sarana edukasi. Dalam edukasi informal, TikTok menghadirkan berbagai model pembelajaran yang memengaruhi aktivitas belajar, terutama bagi pengguna yang sudah familiar dengan platform ini. TikTok berperan dalam meningkatkan wawasan dan keterampilan petani melalui konten edukatif seperti tutorial, inovasi, dan promosi. Selain menjadi sumber informasi pertanian, TikTok juga dapat menarik minat generasi muda ke sektor ini dengan konten yang menarik dan inspiratif. Untuk meningkatkan efektivitas edukasi pertanian, penting memperhatikan beberapa hal, seperti durasi shot, tempo narasi, serta kombinasi visual dan gaya bahasa yang mendukung daya ingat dan pemahaman audiens.

Abstract

Beberapa tahun terakhir, perhatian terhadap keberlanjutan dan tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan mengalami peningkatan yang sangat signifikan di tingkat global maupun nasional. Hal ini didorong oleh kesadaran bahwa pertumbuhan ekonomi yang berkelanjutan hanya dapat dicapai apabila perusahaan juga memperhatikan dampak sosial dan lingkungan dari aktivitasnya. Oleh karena itu, prinsip Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) muncul sebagai kerangka kerja penting yang digunakan untuk menilai kinerja non-keuangan perusahaan secara menyeluruh. Berbagai studi sebelumnya telah menunjukkan bahwa penerapan prinsip ESG memiliki dampak signifikan terhadap kinerja keuangan perusahaan. Namun, hasil mengenai dampak langsung ESG terhadap kinerja keuangan masih beragam dan memerlukan analisis yang lebih mendalam. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Literature Review untuk mengidentifikasi, mengevaluasi, dan mensintesis secara sistematis literatur ilmiah yang membahas pengaruh ESG terhadap kinerja keuangan perusahaan. Terdapat 23 literatur yang sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi pada prosedur pengumpulan data. Berdasarkan tinjauan literatur, sebagian besar penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi ESG yang baik secara konsisten berdampak positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja keuangan perusahaan, terutama jika diterapkan secara menyeluruh dan terintegrasi. Namun, beberapa penelitian menemukan bahwa pengaruh ESG atau komponennya terhadap kinerja keuangan bisa tidak signifikan atau bahkan negatif, tergantung pada tingkat kematangan implementasi, sektor industri, serta indikator pengukuran yang digunakan. Selain itu, dampak masing - masing dimensi juga dapat bervariasi, sehingga keberhasilan ESG menuntut pengelolaan yang seimbang dan tidak parsial. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya pendekatan ESG yang holistik sebagai bagian dari strategi bisnis untuk menciptakan nilai tambah dan keberlanjutan keuangan perusahaan.
