Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to determine the cognitive learning outcomes of students through the application of self assessment technique on impuls and momentum. The research method used was Pre-Experimental design with the design of Intact Group Comparison. The research subjects were students of X class SMAN 2 tambang, in which devided into the experimental class and the control class. The experimental class uses a self assessment technique learning model and a control class with a conventional learning. The data was obtained from cognitive learning outcomes test which given to students after the learning process was carried out. Data were analyzed descriptively to provide an overview of students cognitive learning outcomes including students absorption and learning effectiveness on indication of impuls and momentum material. The research result obtained were the average of students absorption ability in the experimental class was 75,43% and 69,71% for control class. Thus it can be concluded that the implementation of self assessment technique was effective to increase student cognitive learning outcomes on impuls and momentum material in class X SMAN 2 Tambang.Key Words: Self Assessment Technique, Cognitive Learning Outcomes, Impuls And Momentum

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research is to produce student worksheet based on contextual to form science literacy that valid. Benefits of this research is the product can be used as teaching material teacher guide, increaseknowledge of science , guiding students in self-development as well as providing literacy skills of science and students' critical thinking skills. The research method used is Research and Development (R & D). Method steps include potentials and problems, literature and information review, product design, validation, and proven design. The result of the research shows the validity of LKS stucture is 100% with High category. In the validity of the contents of the LKS done twice with the results of the first validation of 76, 83% with high category but not valid because there are still indicators Low category. After making the improvement, the second validation result is 80.08% with High category. The Student Worksheet is declared valid and suitable for use by the school as a teaching material and is recommended to continue the research in the form of application as a trial to the school with the manufacture of mass products.Keywords: Student Worsksheet, Contextual Learning, Sciene Literacy

Abstract

 The physics learning process at school does not involve students directly which causes the low cognitive learning outcomes of students. For this reason, it is necessary to apply an effective learning model for improving student learning outcomes. One suitable learning model is the treffinger learning model. The treffinger model provides learning activities with three stages namely basic tools, practice with the process, and working with real problems. These three stages can make students actively and creatively involved in the learning process. The purpose of this research is to find out the effectiveness of increasing cognitive learning outcomes of students on optical material by applying the Treffinger learning model. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group design. The research sample was taken two classes randomly as the experimental class and the control class from the student population in class XI IPA of SMA Negeri 9 Pekanbaru. The data collection instrument used students' cognitive learning achievement test consisting of pretest and posttest given to the experimental class and the control class. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential analysis. Descriptive analysis results obtained an average absorption capacity of 72.64% experimental class with a good learning category and 63.47% control class with quite a good category. With the results of the inferential analysis with an independent-sample t-test, there are significant differences in learning outcomes between the experimental class and the control class, where the experimental class has a higher increase in learning outcomes. Thus the use of the treffinger model is effective in improving student learning outcomes in class XI IPA of SMA Negeri 9 Pekanbaru on optical material.

Abstract

 The purpose of this research was to find the student physics learning achievement as topic rectilinear motion kinematic through Multi Intelligences approach implementation by using Concept Map. The subject of the research was the students of X8 Class of SMA I Pangkalan Kerinci in the academic year 2005/2006 the sample was taken was 35 students. The instrument of collecting data was a test of learning achievement used descriptive analysis which consists of digestibility, the effectiveness of learning, the student completeness learning, the completeness indicators, the affective evaluation, and psychomotor evaluation. The finding showed that the average of students' digestibility is 80,8% categorized well. The effectiveness of learning is 80,8% with the completeness indicator is 92%. The effective evaluation is categorized good enough (57,1%) and the psychomotor evaluation is categorized very good (62,8%).

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to describe the understanding of physical concepts by the implementation of SAVI strategies (Somatic, Audiotory, Visual, and Intellectual) using media education cards and knowing differences student’s understanding of physical concepts by SAVI learning strategies using media education cards with conventional learning models. The research method used is Posstest-Only design. The research subjects were students of class VIII SMP Negeri 23 Pekanbaru, which is class VIIIA was an experimental class and class VIIID was a control class. The experimental class uses the SAVI learning strategy using education cards media and a control class with conventional learning. The data was obtained from concept understanding test which given to student after the learning process was carried out. Data were analyzed descriptively by using indicator of concept understanding criteria to provide an overview of students' understanding of concepts and also inferentially using the independent-sample t-test.The research result obtained were the average of students concept understanding score in the experimental class higher than controll class.Thus it was concluded that the implementation of the SAVI learning strategy using an education card media has given good influence, improved interest in learning, make students more active, So that it can increase student’s understanding concept of physics in SMP N 23 Pekanbaru on the material vibrations, waves, and sounds.Key Word : Concept Understanding, SAVI Learning Strategies, Education Card

Abstract

Abstrak:Pembelajaran IPA disekolah saat ini kurang menekankan pada keterampilan berpikir siswa dan pengalaman langsung untuk memecahkan sebuah permasalahan dan  menemukan konsep pada materi pelajaran, menyebabkan menurunnya hasil belajar yang diperoleh siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan hasil belajar kognitif siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 13 Pekanbaru dengan menerapkan strategi pictorial riddle pada materi suhu dan pemuaian.Penelitian dilakukan dari bulan Oktober 2014- Februari 2015 menggunakan pra experimentaldengan bentuk desain statis dengan dua kelompok terhadap siswa kelas VII7 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII6 sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan pemberian tes setelah pembelajaran.Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan analisis deskriptif berupa daya serap dan efektivitas pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa daya serap siswa setelah pembelajaran dengan penerapan strategi pictorial riddle sebesar 81,81% dikategorikan baik sehingga efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dan  digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPA.   Kata Kunci:strategi pembelajaran, pictorial riddle, hasil belajar, daya serap dan efektivitas

Abstract

Abstrack : This research aims to determine the increase attitudes toward science of students in physic learning by the implementation of hands on activities in class VIII SMPN 20 Pekanbaru. The subjects are students of class VIII3. This class has fewer than 39 students. The data collection instrument in this study is questionnaire of attitudes towards science which consists of 37 statements. Analysis of the data in this study is a descriptive analysis using the gain (increase). If G > 0.3, so the attitude towards science of student is increase by the implementation of hands on activities. The results of all indicators showed: Gain student’s attitudes toward science for indicator fun science is 0.09 with a low category, classroom or teacher is 0.08 with a lower category, self directed efforts is 0.14 with a low category, anxiety toward science is 0.16 with a lower category, family model is 0.15 with a low category. So that the average gain attitudes toward science of students in the amount is 0.12 to a low category. Application of hands on activities of material pressure have a low gain to improve attitude science of students in class VIII3 SMPN 20 Pekanbaru.Key Words: attitudes towards science, hands on activities learning

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to determine the increase  student’s attitude toward science in learning physics at class X SMA IT Al-Ittihad Pekanbaru through the implementation of Metacognitive Strategies in lesson temperature and heat. The subjects were students of class X Putri totalling 18 students. The metodh used in this study is pre-experimental with one group pretest-posttest desigs. The instrument of data collection in this study is the attitudes towards science questionnaire consists of 24 statement that include 4 attitude toward science indicator which is attraction toward science, science learning activities, importance of science, views toward science’s environmental. Data analysis in this study is a descriptive analysis to determine the increase  student’s attitude toward science in learning physics. The research showed the gain student’s attitude toward science at class X SMA IT Al-Ittihad Pekanbaru through the implementation of Metacognitive Strategies in lesson temperature and heat are in middle category (0,42), increase of the student’s attitude toward science in each of indicators in middle category, except importance of science in low category. Abstract

Abstract : This research aimed to describe the ability of formal reasoning in students class X SMA IT AL-Ittihad with metacognitive strategies. The subjects were science students class x totaling 19 person. Data collection instrument in this research is the formal reasoning ability test consisting of 15 items about reasonable option. Analysis of data in this research is descriptive analysis to see an overview of the result of formal reasoning ability of students to learn using the criteria of absorption, enhancement of formal reasoning ability, and effectiveness of learning. From the analysis of the data shows : the averages absorption class is 71.9% with the good category, each indicator has increased formal reasoning, and declared effective learning  effectiveness. Therefore, the application is declared effective metacognitive  strategies to train and improve the ability of formal reasoning in physics learning in class X SMA IT AL-Ittihad Pekanbaru. Abstract

Abstract: The test instrument developed was a multiple choice comprehension test instrument on momentum and impulse material. The purpose of this study was to determine the validity, reliability, level of difficulty, differentiation and deception function of the concept understanding test instrument. This type of research is research and development (R&D) with the Plomp development model. The research instrument used was a concept understanding test instrument and expert validation sheet. Analysis of the data from the test results of this test instrument in class X SMA students showed expert validity with an average score per aspect of 71%, valid questions based on the validity of the items with a total of 12 questions, the reliability of 0.771 in the high category, the items with difficulty difficulty amounting to 4 items and 13 medium difficulty level, 4 items with very good distinguishing power, 3 good categories of distinguishing power, 6 items of distinguishing power, 6 items of distinguishing power with poor criteria questions and 1 item with a negative discrimination value and there are 4 distractors who do not function.Key Words: Concept Understanding, Validity, Reliability, Level of Difficulty, DistinguishingPower, Confusing Functions
