Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penyebab miskonsepsi siswa pada pelajaran fisika. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif metode survei. Instrumen pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah soal tes miskonsepsi dan angket minat belajar siswa. Dari hasil analisis deskriptif diperoleh bahwa pada umumnya siswa mengalami miskonsepsi. Hal ini disebabkan oleh pemikiran asosiatif rata-rata berkontribusi sebesar 80%, pemikiran  humanistik 83%, alasan yang tidak lengkap 12%, intuisi yang salah 86%, tahap perkembangan kognitif 85% dan kemampuan siswa 70% sedangkan minat belajar siswa tidak memberikan kontribusi atau memicu terhadap terjadinya miskonsepsi siswa Kata kunci : Penyebab Miskonsepsi, Tes miskonsepsi, Angket minat belajar

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan penerapan media pembelajaran berbasis pendekatan saintifik menggunakan augmented reality untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Desain yang digunakan yaitu quasi eksperimen: Posttest only control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 23 Pekanbaru tahun ajaran 2021/2022 dengan sampel berjumlah 65 orang siswa yang terdiri dari kelas VII A sebagai kelas eksperimen yang berjumlah 32 orang siswa dan kelas VII B sebagai kelas kontrol yang berjumlah 33 orang siswa. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa tes keterampilan berpikir kritis materi tata surya yang terdiri dari 10 soal pilihan ganda. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif melalui nilai rata-rata siswa dan analisis inferensial melalui uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan uji hipotesis dengan bantuan program SPSS 23. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata siswa pada kelas eksperimen lebih baik daripada kelas kontrol dan terdapat perbedaan signifikan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa antara kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan media pembelajaran berbasis pendekatan saintifik menggunakan augmented reality dengan kelas kontrol yang menerapkan model pembelajaran konvensional

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa melalui penerapan model Learning Cycle 5E pada materi Getaran Harmonis di kelas X SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi-Eksperimen dengan desain Post-test Only, Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan tes kemampuan berpikir kritis (post-test) yang dibuat sesuai dengan aspek kemampuan berpikir kritis menurut Ennis. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial. Hasil inferensial dari data pada penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa kedua kelas terdistribusi normal dan homogen. Hasil analisis deskriptif diperoleh bahwa persentase rata-rata aspek kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 73,61 % dengan kategori tinggi sedangkan pada kelas kontrol diperoleh persentase sebesar 60,00% dengan kategori sedang. Dari hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model Learning Cycle 5E dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi getaran harmonis di kelas X SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru

Abstract

Rupat Island located at a coastal area of Riau Province, generally coastal areas are identical with the availability of clean water. The low availability of clean water has a negative impact on all sectors. The water used by students and teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Rupat comes from a ring well which tastes salty and brackish. Problems in the health sector are the availability of clean water that is suitable for consumption, education is insufficient equipment for Physics Experiments, in the economic field, family spending increases due to the availability of bottled water, and the field of community empowerment has not maximized the use of natural resources. The solution for this aspect is technological innovation that is able to meet the need for clean water in the long term by utilizing existing potential, one of which is the manufacture of a sea water purifier, a giant measuring 4x4 meter. The tool's fundamental working principle is to evaporate the air first and then collect the condensed water to separate the mineral salts and contaminants from the seawater. The author has made a seawater purifier measuring 48x38 cm as a medium for high school physics learning in 2021 with a TKT 5.

Abstract

Guru mengalami kesulitan dalam mengajarkan konsep baru yang sebagian besar belum dikenal siswa. Siswa menjadi jarang dilatih menghubungkan pengetahuan dalam membangun sebuah konsep. Kendala guru dan kegagalan siswa tersebut menyebabkan pemahaman konsep siswa menjadi rendah. Untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa dapat diterapkan pembelajaran yang inovatif yakni penerapan simulasi phet dengan  model problem solving. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMPN 1 Kateman. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan simulasi PhET dengan model problem solving terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian eksperimen dengan desain quasi eksperimen Nonequivalent control group design dengan  model Posttest only control group design. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa tes pemahaman konsep yang terdiri dari 33 soal pilihan ganda beralasan. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial. Hasil dan simpulan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa daya serap siswa pada kelas eksperimen lebih baik daripada kelas kontrol dan terdapat perbedaan signifikan pemahaman konsep siswa antara kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan simulasi PhET dengan model problem solving dengan kelas kontrol yang menerapkan model pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' initial conceptual understanding abilities in learning physics on dynamic fluid material. The method used descriptive quantitative research and as many as 100 students in class XI MAN 3 Pekanbaru City as the sample. The data collection technique was done by distributing questions via Google form to 100 students in classes XI MIA 2, XI MIA 3 and XI MIA 4. Data analysis on mastery of the material for each student was calculated based on comparing the scores obtained by students against the maximum score set. The results of this study indicated that students' conceptual understanding of the problem indicators explaining and concluding belong to the medium category, and the problem indicators are classified as belonging to the high category. An average of > 33.33% was obtained, categorized as moderate. However, there were several indicators of questions where students' understanding of concepts was categorized as low. It is concluded that students' understanding of concepts is categorized as low. So, it is very necessary to have a learning design that can provide attractiveness and motivation for student learning so that students can understand the concepts of physics.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to ascertain the impact of using the STEM approach in learning science and physics. The 20 research articles whose findings were examined in this study were all published in journals between 2018 and 2022. Effect size values used in the meta-analysis in this study were calculated using the OpenMEE program. Four indicators—level of education, learning models, learning media, and higher-order thinking skills—can be used to determine the impact of STEM (HOTS) learning. The average effect size on educational attainment is 1,590 at the junior high school level and 1,440 at the senior high school level. The average effect size for STEM learning with the PjBL learning model is 1.490, PBL is 1.250 and inquiry learning is 0.333. According to the average effect size results obtained for LKPD of 1.878, module of 1.818, and LKP of 1.503, this study examines the impact of STEM on the media. The average effect size score was obtained for higher order thinking skills (HOTS) for problem solving skills of 1.699, critical thinking skills of 1.899, scientific literacy abilities of 1.126, concept understanding of 0.997, and creative thinking abilities of 0.951. According to the findings of the effect size study, STEM learning is appropriate for use at the junior high school level with the PjBL learning approach using LKPD learning media to strengthen students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This research was conducted to develop learning media in the form of assisted e-modules virtual lab, thus a needs analysis is needed as the first step in developing e-modules. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research, and the instrument for collecting data from this research is in the form of student analysis questionnaire sheets. The research was conducted to determine the need for the development of learning materials in schools. The results of the analysis of the needs of 45 students obtained that 40% of students were generally passive in asking questions during the learning process, however, 62.2% of students actively expressed their opinions in learning, so 86.7% of students feel uninterested in learning if they only listen to the teacher's explanation, without involving their active participation. Furthermore, 88.9% of students feel happy if there are learning resources that can utilize Android or IT so that the learning materials are interactive. Then 88.9% of students need learning media that can be studied independently at home and 86.7% of students think that the difficult material is dynamic electricity. These results illustrate the need to develop assisted e-module learning media virtual lab on dynamic electricity.

Abstract

There is still low motivation and understanding of students' concepts, especially in learning wave characteristics for class XI SMA 1 Bandar Sei Kijang students, making this problem important to research. The purpose of this research was to determine the level of conceptual understanding and motivation of class XI students through the application of PowerPoint learning multimedia based on the SAVI model. This type of quantitative research uses a quasi-experimental method, using a pretest-posttest control group design. The research sample was taken from the XI MIPA class population of 42 students. The research instrument consisted of a concept understanding test of 5 indicators (20 objective questions) and a motivational questionnaire with 4 aspects (25 statements). Data were analyzed descriptively and inferential analysis using parametric statistics, related to the level of understanding of the concept and the learning motivation of the participants. The results of the descriptive analysis obtained that the understanding of the concept in the experimental class increased with a score of 75.9% and learning motivation increased with a score of 70.5% (good category). The results of the inferential analysis with the t-test obtained a significant increase in conceptual understanding and student motivation. There is a relationship between the level of understanding of the concept and the increase in participant motivation. So the implementation of SAVI-based PowerPoint learning multimedia on wave characteristic material is effective in increasing students' conceptual understanding and motivation in class XI SMA.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how to apply the guided inquiry learning model to improve the ability of psychomotor skills and learning interests of grade X students of TKPI SMKN Fisheries Riau Province. This type of research is a Classroom Action Research Physics model of Kemmis and Mc Taggart which consists of 2 cycles, where each cycle includes stages of planning, action and observation, as well as reflection. In cycle I, students learn about temperature and heat, and cycle II, students learn about dynamic electricity. Data collection techniques include observation sheets of teacher and student activities, performance tests, and interest questionnaires. The subjects of this study were grade X TKPI students, totaling 16 male students.The data were analyzed in descriptive, qualitative and quantitative manners. Observations are made by peers to observe the implementation of teacher and student activities in accordance with the learning steps in RPP. Performance tests are carried out at the end of each cycle. Filling out the learning interest questionnaire at the end of cycle I and cycle II. The results of research on how to apply the guided inquiry method are by the way the teacher makes an orientation of a problem that will be formulated by students to attract students' attention, then involves students directly in making hypotheses, conducting experiments, analyzing data to train students' psychomotor skills, so that students are happy in making conclusions for the theories they get. The research data showed that teacher activities and student activities were carried out according to the RPP, with very good criteria, students' psychomotor skills at the level of imitation, manipulation and precision trained in each learning meeting, increased by 25%, from 69% classical completeness to 94%, and students' interest in learning physics after applying the guided inquiry learning model increased by 16% from 65% with sufficient criteria to 81% with very good criteria. Students have a feeling of pleasure being actively involved in the learning process, so they are interested and more attentive to learning.
