Abstract

Religious moderation is an important principle in maintaining the harmony of religious life in multicultural Indonesia. Islamic Religious Education (PAI) has a strategic role in forming a generation that not only understands Islamic values ​​textually, but is also able to implement these values ​​contextually and inclusively. This study aims to explore various current literature that discusses the role of PAI in strengthening religious moderation at various levels of education. The research method used is a literature study by reviewing scientific journals, books, and relevant education policy documents from the last five years. The results of the study show that strengthening religious moderation through PAI includes five main aspects: integration of moderation values ​​in the curriculum, the role of teachers as agents of moderation, contextual learning methods, the use of educational digital media, and a school environment that supports tolerance values. This study recommends strengthening the capacity of PAI teachers and improving the curriculum as the main strategy. With a holistic approach, PAI can be the main pillar in forming moderate, tolerant, and inclusive characters in students. This research is expected to contribute to the development of religious education policies that are relevant to the challenges of the times.

Abstract

The Society 5.0 era is a new phase of civilization that places technology at the center of human life without ignoring human values. In this context, Islamic Religious Education (PAI) faces complex challenges, ranging from moral crises, information disruption, to the erosion of spiritual values. This study aims to critically analyze how PAI revitalization can be the answer to these challenges through a literature study approach. By reviewing various recent academic sources, this study highlights the importance of curriculum transformation, technology integration, value-based learning, strengthening student character, and the adaptive role of teachers. The results of the analysis show that PAI must be more contextual and responsive to changes in the times, while maintaining the substance of Islamic teachings which are rahmatan lil 'alamin. Revitalization is not merely cosmetic, but includes a change in the educational paradigm towards a more humanistic and transformative direction. Islamic Religious Education needs to be oriented towards the formation of spiritual character, digital ethics, and critical thinking skills that can guide the younger generation in facing the complex digital era. Thus, PAI becomes the vanguard in producing a religious generation that excels intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually in the Society 5.0 era.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) has a central role in shaping the character and mindset of students at the secondary school level. In the context of 21st century education, the development of critical thinking skills is an essential requirement to create a generation capable of facing global challenges. This literature study aims to analyze how PAI can contribute significantly to the development of critical thinking in secondary school students. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach by reviewing various relevant journals, books, and scientific articles. The results of the study indicate that a dialogic, contextual, and problem-based PAI learning approach can stimulate students to think analytically, reflectively, and logically. Five important aspects in this discussion include the integration of Islamic values ​​in critical thinking, active learning methods, the role of teachers as facilitators, a classroom environment that supports discussion, and learning evaluations that challenge students' analytical abilities. Thus, PAI is not only a means of instilling spiritual values, but also a vehicle for forming critical and constructive mindsets. In conclusion, strengthening the PAI curriculum that supports the development of critical thinking is very important to create graduates who are religious and think rationally.

Abstract

In an era of globalization that is full of challenges and changes in values, building a resilient generation is an urgent need in the world of education. Islamic Religious Education has a strategic role in shaping the character and spirituality of students. This literature study aims to examine how the approach of Islamic Religious Education that integrates spiritual intelligence can shape a generation that is emotionally, socially, and morally resilient. This research method uses a qualitative approach with literature study as the main technique. Data sources come from national and international journals, scientific books, and relevant articles published in the last 10 years. The results of the study show that Islamic Religious Education based on spiritual intelligence can increase self-awareness, sense of responsibility, social sensitivity, resilience in facing life's tests, and the ability to make decisions based on divine values. By instilling spiritual values ​​such as sincerity, patience, gratitude, and tawakal, students can develop into individuals who are resilient and have high integrity. This study recommends that educators and educational institutions better integrate religious learning with applicable and contextual spiritual development. Thus, education not only shapes intellectual intelligence, but also strength of heart and personal integrity.

Abstract

Children who are victims of violence often experience serious psychological, social, and moral impacts. Moral rehabilitation is an important aspect in the recovery process so that children can grow and develop optimally. Islamic Religious Education (PAI) has great potential in providing constructive spiritual and moral solutions for children who are victims of violence. This literature study aims to examine the role of PAI in the process of moral rehabilitation of children who are victims of violence based on the results of previous research, scientific books, and accredited journal articles. The method used is a literature review with a qualitative descriptive approach. The results of the study show that PAI plays an important role in five main aspects: (1) internalization of noble moral values; (2) strengthening children's self-identity through the teachings of monotheism; (3) emotional healing through a worship approach; (4) restoring children's self-confidence through Islamic character building; and (5) social support from the religious environment. PAI is not only an educational instrument, but also a medium for spiritual therapy that can help children recover from the trauma of violence. Integration between religious education, child psychology, and social approaches is needed to create a comprehensive rehabilitation program. This study recommends the need for collaboration between educational institutions, religious educators, psychologists, and child protection institutions in implementing PAI contextually and comprehensively.

Abstract

The phenomenon of hoaxes and disinformation is increasingly rampant along with the development of information and communication technology. Misleading information not only causes confusion, but can also trigger social conflict, damage public trust, and disrupt social stability. Islamic Religious Education (PAI) has a strategic role in shaping the character and morals of students so that they are able to filter information wisely. This literature study aims to examine the role of PAI in countering hoaxes and disinformation through an Islamic values ​​approach that emphasizes honesty, tabayyun (clarification), and moral responsibility. The method used is a qualitative literature study by reviewing various relevant national and international journals. The results of the study show that PAI can equip students with critical and ethical values ​​in using social media and digital technology. There are five main roles of PAI in countering hoaxes, namely: (1) instilling the values ​​of honesty and trustworthiness; (2) cultivating an attitude of tabayyun in receiving information; (3) developing digital literacy based on Islamic values; (4) forming awareness of communication ethics; and (5) strengthening students' moral resilience. With the integration of religious values ​​in formal and non-formal education, PAI contributes significantly to creating an intelligent, critical, and moral society.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) has an important role in shaping the character and morals of students. In the midst of globalization that brings foreign cultural influences, the integration of local wisdom values ​​in the implementation of PAI is a strategic effort to maintain cultural identity and strengthen contextual Islamic values. This literature study aims to explore how the implementation of local wisdom-based PAI can contribute to strengthening religious and national identity in a global context. Through a review of various national and international journal sources in the last five years, it was found that the locality approach in PAI can have a positive influence on attitudes of tolerance, love of the homeland, and cultural resilience of students. This study also highlights the importance of synergy between universal Islamic values ​​and local traditions that are in line with Islamic principles. In the global era, this integration is important so that religious education is not separated from the cultural roots of society. The implications of this study indicate that educational institutions, teachers, and policy makers need to develop a PAI curriculum that is inclusive of local values ​​in order to create a generation of Muslims who are characterful, moderate, and adaptive to global dynamics.

Abstract

The development of digital technology and globalization has brought significant changes to the mindset, behavior, and lifestyle of the millennial generation. This condition presents challenges in maintaining the moral values, ethics, and morals of the younger generation. Islamic Religious Education (PAI) plays a strategic role in shaping noble character through an approach to spiritual, moral, and social values ​​based on the Qur'an and Hadith. This literature study aims to examine the role of PAI in shaping the character of the millennial generation through curriculum, learning methods, educational environment, and the use of digital technology. Data were collected through a review of indexed international and national journals over the past five years. The results of the study indicate that Islamic Religious Education can shape religious character, discipline, responsibility, tolerance, and digital ethics when integrated with innovative learning approaches, such as project-based learning, digital learning, teacher role models, and collaboration between schools, families, and the community. The implementation of digital-based PAI has proven effective in reaching the learning patterns of the millennial generation, which tend to be visual, fast, and interactive. Thus, Islamic Religious Education plays a crucial role in developing a millennial generation with noble character, integrity, and readiness to face the challenges of the modern era. This study recommends strengthening the curriculum, improving teacher competency, and utilizing technology in learning as strategies to build the character of a religious and globally competitive millennial generation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using Chromebooks in Islamic Religious Education (ISE) learning in elementary schools by emphasizing changes in student motivation, participation, and understanding during the learning process. The study used descriptive qualitative methods through observation, interviews, and documentation involving teachers and fifth-grade students. The results showed that Chromebooks helped increase student engagement through more visual, interactive, and accessible presentations of material. Teachers found it easier to deliver material and conduct evaluations through digital applications such as Google Classroom and Google Forms. Students also demonstrated increased learning motivation because they could access videos, images, and interactive exercises that made ISE materials more engaging. However, this study also found that the use of digital devices requires adequate infrastructure support for optimal learning. Teachers need to continuously develop digital literacy competencies, while students require mentoring to ensure they are able to utilize learning features effectively. By meeting these needs, technology integration is expected to continuously improve the quality of learning in elementary schools. This demonstrates the importance of collaboration between schools, teachers, and parents in supporting innovation-based learning.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital telah memberikan peluang besar bagi peningkatan mutu pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI), khususnya di jenjang Sekolah Dasar (SD). Inovasi pembelajaran berbasis teknologi tidak hanya memfasilitasi proses belajar yang lebih interaktif dan menyenangkan, tetapi juga mampu memperkuat internalisasi nilai-nilai agama pada peserta didik melalui media yang sesuai dengan karakteristik generasi digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk inovasi pembelajaran PAI berbasis teknologi di SD, mengidentifikasi strategi guru dalam implementasinya, serta menganalisis efektivitasnya terhadap motivasi dan pemahaman siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dengan menganalisis berbagai hasil penelitian terdahulu, artikel ilmiah, dan buku yang relevan terkait pembelajaran PAI dan teknologi pendidikan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa inovasi pembelajaran PAI berbasis teknologi mencakup penggunaan multimedia interaktif, video pembelajaran, aplikasi digital seperti Kahoot, Wordwall, dan Quizizz, serta platform Learning Management System (LMS). Selain itu, integrasi teknologi memungkinkan guru mengembangkan metode gamifikasi, blended learning, dan pembelajaran berbasis proyek digital. Implementasi inovasi teknologi terbukti meningkatkan minat belajar, mempercepat pemahaman konsep, serta membantu siswa mengaplikasikan nilai-nilai keagamaan dalam konteks kehidupan sehari-hari. Namun, tantangan seperti keterbatasan sarana, kesiapan guru, dan pengawasan penggunaan perangkat tetap menjadi faktor penting yang perlu diperhatikan. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya peningkatan kompetensi digital guru PAI serta dukungan sekolah dalam menyediakan infrastruktur teknologi yang memadai.
