Abstract

Identifikasi Mikroplastik yang terdapat pada Beberapa Jenis Ikan di Perairan Sungai Sangasanga Kelurahan Sarijaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis kandungan mikroplastik yang terdapat pada Ikan Toman (Channa micropeltes), Ikan Seluang (Rasbora argyrotaenia), dan Ikan Nila (Oreochromis niloticus) di perairan Sungai Sangasanga Kelurahan Sarijaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan jenis partikel mikroplastik yang ditemukan meliputi fiber, fragmen, film dan monofilamen. Pada Ikan Toman (Channa micropeltes) mikroplastik jenis fiber memiliki ukuran berkisar antara 127,52 µm – 673,89 µm, mikroplastik jenis fragmen memiliki ukuran berkisar antara 25,11 µm – 75,46 µm, mikroplastik jenis film memiliki ukuran berkisar antara 23,84 µm – 203,77 µm, dan mikroplastik jenis monofilamen memiliki ukuran berkisar 672,29 µm. Pada Ikan Seluang (Rasbora argyrotaenia) Mikroplastik jenis fiber memiliki ukuran berkisar antara 217,30 µm – 1036,05 µm, mikroplastik jenis fragmen memiliki ukuran berkisar antara 32,80 µm – 80,90 µm, mikroplastik jenis film memiliki ukuran berkisar antara 22,86 µm – 195,28 µm, dan mikroplastik jenis monofilamen memiliki ukuran berkisar 1249,07 µm. Sedangkan pada Ikan Nila (Oreochromis niloticus) mikroplastik jenis fiber memiliki ukuran berkisar antara 70,51 µm – 830,24 µm, mikroplastik jenis fragmen memiliki ukuran berkisar antara 26,55 µm – 83,99 µm, mikroplastik jenis film memiliki ukuran berkisar antara 23,95 µm – 281,89 µm, dan mikroplastik jenis monofilamen memiliki ukuran berkisar 249,72 µm – 932,07 µm.

Abstract

Identifikasi Kandungan Mikroplastik Pada Ikan Kiper (Scatophagus argus) dan Ikan Nila (Oreochromis niloticus) di Perairan Sungai Somber, Kota Balikpapan Kalimantan Timur. Bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis kandungan mikroplastik pada ikan kiper dan juga ikan nila yang berada di sungai somber. Ketergantungan manusia dengan pemakaian plastik menghasilkan sampah plastik dalam jumlah yang banyak karena sering dimanfaatkan dalam berbagai hal salah satunya bahan kemasan. Polimer plastik tidak dapat mengalami degradasi secara biologi, namun dapat dipecah oleh radiasi ultra violet dan energi mekanis menjadi fragmen polimer menjadi lebih kecil. Mikroplastik dapat tertelan oleh organisme laut karena partikel tersebut menyerupai makanan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada ikan kiper (Scatophagus argus) dan ikan nila (Oreochromis niloticus) mengandung partikel mikroplastik diantaranya berjenis fiber, fragmen, dan film, dengan partikel mikroplastik jenis fiber dan fragmen yang mendominasi. Pada ikan kiper (scatophagus argus) ditemukan mikroplastik berjenis fiber, fragmen, dan film dengan ukuran partikel berkisar antara 453,03 µm – 2329,13 µm, 12,04 µm – 242,71 µm, dan 19,06 µm – 83,83 µm. Pada ikan nila (Oreochromis niloticus) ditemukan mikroplastik berjenis fiber, fragmen, dan film dengan ukuran partikel berkisar antara 286, 61µm – 2148,68 µm, 7,95 µm – 12,70 µm, dan 8.16 µm – 31,22 µm. Mikroplastik yang ditemukan berwarna kehitaman, cokelat kehitaman, dan ada juga yang berwarna oren kecoklatan.

Abstract

The situation where there is a mismatch between the student's initial concept and the conception put forward by the expert results in students being very confident in the wrong concept or called a misconception. There are several circumstances that can lead to misconceptions. This study used Three-Tier Multiple Choice diagnostic examination with the help of Google Form to determine the misconceptions and contributing variables held by students of class XI at SMAN 16 Samarinda regarding the material of the excretory system. The researcher used a descriptive research design using a sample of class XI-2 which amounted to 33 students. Based on the results of data analysis, students' concept understanding of the excretory system material is divided into four categories, namely understanding the concept (60%), understanding the concept but not sure (3%), misconceptions (23%), and not understanding (14%). The majority of misconceptions were in the category of questions about urine formation and anatomy and physiology of parts of the excretory system. The average misconception is 23%, the level of student misconceptions is included in the low group. Factors causing misconceptions in students are due to themselves such as students' learning abilities and lack of interest in learning, while from outside themselves such as less conducive classroom conditions, lack of laboratory tools and materials, students who do not dare to ask questions and are not focused, students who still learn overnight, and limited learning time so that the explanation cannot be conveyed in full.  Keywords: Misconception, Test Diagnostic Three-Tier Multiple Choice, Google Form

Abstract

ABSTRAKPestisida nabati adalah salah satu alternatif untuk mengendalikan serangan hama. Salah satunya adalah akar wangi. Identifikasi senyawa metabolit sekunder perlu diketahui karena merupakan sumber penting untuk memperoleh data pestisida nabati dan produk turunan pestisida nabati. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kandungan metabolit sekunder dari ekstrak etanol daun akar wangi (Vetiveria zizanioides (L.) Nash) dan potensinya sebagai pestisida nabati. Penelitian ini melakukan uji fitokimia secara kualitatif terhadap kandungan esktrak etanol daun akar wangi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etanol dari daun akar wangi mengandung flavonoid, tanin, fenolik, dan alkaloid. Selain itu, tidak ditemukan steroid atau saponin dalam ekstrak. Telah ditentukan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun akar wangi mengandung metabolit sekunder seperti flavonoid, tanin, fenolik, dan alkaloid, yang mana kandungan metabolit sekunder daun akar wangi ini berpotensi untuk digunakan sebagai pestisida nabati guna mengurangi jumlah hama yang menyerang tanaman. Kata kunci: daun akar wangi, metabolik sekunder, pestisida nabati   ABSTRACTPlant-based pesticides are one of the alternatives to control pest attacks. One of them is vetiver. The identification of secondary metabolite compounds needs to be known because it is an important source of obtaining data on vegetable pesticides and vegetable pesticide derivatives. The purpose of this study was to determine the secondary metabolite content of ethanol extract of vetiver leaves (Vetiveria zizanioides (L.) Nash) and its potential as a botanical pesticide. This study conducted qualitative phytochemical tests on the content of ethanol extract of vetiver leaves. The results showed that ethanol extract of vetiver leaves contained flavonoids, tannins, phenolics, and alkaloids. In addition, no steroids or saponins were found in the extract. It has been determined that the ethanol extract of vetiver leaves contains secondary metabolites such as flavonoids, tannins, phenolics, and alkaloids, which contain secondary metabolites of vetiver leaves, which have the potential to be used as vegetable pesticides to reduce the number of pests that attack plant. Keywords: vetiver leaves, secondary metabolism, botanical pesticides

Abstract

Staphylococcus aureus adalah bakteri yang secara medis penting yang sering ditemukan pada kulit atau permukaan hidung. Bakteri ini dapat menyebabkan berbagai infeksi, dari yang ringan hingga yang berat, dan berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan angka kematian. Untuk mengatasi infeksi ini, antibiotik yang mampu menghambat atau menghilangkan bakteri ini sangat penting. Tanaman lokal, yang sering digunakan sebagai tanaman hias dan obat, merupakan sumber potensial antibiotik tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas ekstrak metanol daun kenikir (Cosmos caudatus Kunth.) dalam menghambat pertumbuhan S. aureus. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain eksperimental laboratorium dengan enam perlakuan: empat konsentrasi ekstrak (100%, 75%, 50%, dan 25%), kloramfenikol sebagai kontrol positif, dan metanol sebagai kontrol negatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi ekstrak metanol 75% menghasilkan zona hambat rata-rata sebesar 5,6 mm yang dikategorikan lemah. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak daun kenikir menunjukkan beberapa efek penghambatan terhadap pertumbuhan S. aureus ATCC 25923. Namun, kemanjurannya yang lemah menyoroti perlunya eksplorasi lebih lanjut untuk meningkatkan potensinya sebagai agen antibakteri. Penelitian ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya mengevaluasi tanaman lokal untuk khasiat obat mereka untuk mengembangkan pengobatan alternatif untuk infeksi bakteri.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the flipped classroom learning model assisted by instructional videos on the critical thinking skills and science learning outcomes of seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 27 Samarinda. The research used a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. The sample consists of 21 students, with the experimental group using the flipped classroom model and the control group using the Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) model. The results show that in the experimental group, the average pretest and posttest scores for critical thinking increased from 28.29 to 76.67 (N-gain 0.67), and learning outcomes improved from 24.76 to 77.10 (N-gain 0.69). In contrast, in the control group, critical thinking scores increased from 20.29 to 64.29 (N-gain 0.54), and learning outcomes improved from 16.48 to 62 (N-gain 0.54). The t-test showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, with t-value > t-table for both critical thinking and learning outcomes. In conclusion, the flipped classroom model assisted by instructional videos has a significant impact on enhancing students' critical thinking skills and science learning outcomes.

Abstract

One economically valuable horticultural vegetable crop is cayenne peppers (Capsicum frutescens L.). Because plant pests contribute to the reduction in cayenne pepper production, this study aims to determine whether the leaves of the Leucaena leucocephala and the seeds of the Swietenia macrophylla King can be used as botanical pesticides to control pests that attack cayenne pepper plants. An innovative experimental approach was applied in this study. This study utilized a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 125 plants, which included 5 treatments, 5 replications, and 5 groups. We shall undertake this research for a duration of three months. The research was conducted in the yard of the researcher's house in Long Iram City, West Kutai Regency, East Kalimantan. The purpose of the study was to determine the effectiveness of a botanical pesticide on Cayenne Pepper plants. The researchers found that a combination of Lamtoro Leaf extract (Leucaena_Leucocephala) and mahogany seeds (Swietenia macrophylla King) reduced the intensity of insect pest attacks. The T4 treatment, which contained 70% of the extracts, was the most effective botanical pesticide for the plants.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk cair dari cangkang telur ayam dan air kelapa terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman cabai rawit merah (Capsicum frutescens L.), serta untuk menentukan konsentrasi optimal yang mendukung pertumbuhan dan hasil terbaik bagi tanaman cabai rawit merah (Capsicum frutescens L.). Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok dengan 5 perlakuan, 1 kontrol, dan 4 ulangan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah adanya pengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanam dari cabai rawit merah (Capsicum frutescens L.) dimana pada perlakuan 3 dengan kadar pupuk 80 ml/liter air terdapat pengaruh terhadap tinggi tanaman sedangkan pada perlakuan 4 dengan kadar pupuk 100 ml/liter air terdapat pengaruh terhadap banyaknya jumlah daun dan hasil tanam dari cabai rawit merah (Capsicum frutescens L.).

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of the application of Technological Knowledge through the e-module "Coordination System" on the results of high-level cognitive learning and collaboration skills of class XI students in biology subjects at SMA Negeri 5 Samarinda. This study was quantitative with a Quasi Experiment type of research with a nonequivalent control group design. On the results of high-level cognitive learning, the results of the t-test were obtained with a significance value of 0.010<0.05 and the results of the N-Gain test were 64.31% with a fairly effective category. On the ability to collaborate, the results of the t-test were obtained with a significance value of 0.000<0.05 and an average value of 77.58% with a good category. Thus, it is concluded that the application of Technological Knowledge through the e-module "Coordination System" has a significant effect on the results of high-level cognitive learning and collaboration skills of class XI students in biology subjects at SMA Negeri 5 Samarinda.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of the use of Technological Knowledge-based learning media on students' scientific literacy skills on the excretion system material in class XI biology subjects at SMA Negeri 5 Samarinda. The type of research used was experimental research with quantitative methods in the form of a quasi-experimental design type of the pretest-posttest control group design. The results of students' scientific literacy skills obtained the results of the N-Gain test, which is 0.59 with a moderate category, and the results of the t-test with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. Based on these results, it was found that the use of Technological Knowledge-based learning media has a significant effect on students' scientific literacy skills on the excretion system material in class XI of SMA Negeri 5 Samarinda.
