Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kehandalan pengendalian kritikal dalam mengurangi risiko tabrakan alat berat di PT X selama periode 2019-2023. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif, menggunakan data sekunder dari laporan insiden selama periode tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun tingkat implementasi pengendalian kritikal relatif tinggi (73%), efektivitasnya dalam mencegah insiden masih rendah (26%). Temuan ini mengindikasikan perlunya perbaikan implementasi dan evaluasi rutin terhadap pengendalian kritikal untuk meningkatkan keselamatan operasional di tambang.

Abstract

Distress is a negative form of psychosocial conditions that may be caused by work, family, social, and individual factors. Several incidents occurring at PT X have indicated the presence of distress among mechanics who work in the company, which is apparent from the physiological, psychological, behavioral, and cognitive symptoms experienced by these workers. This study aims to analyze the level of work-related distress, as well as factors influencing the level of distress experienced by mechanics at PT X. This was a cross-sectional study on all mechanics (n=37) working for PT X. Data analysis was performed using the chi-square test and logistic regression. Factors identified to be linked with distress level were organizational culture and function, interpersonal relations, work pressure, work-family conflict, task design, work schedule and working hours, exercise intensity, anxiety, emotional control, and smoking habits. Various factors have been identified as influencing the distress level among mechanics at PT X, with the emotional control factor as the factor with most influence on distress (Exp(B)=0.34). These factors require actions to reduce the risk of distress, such as providing better arrangement of overtime schedule and training.

Abstract

Migrant worker evacuation strategies are vital for ensuring safety and operational continuity in high-risk sectors, particularly the oil and gas industry. Despite global safety policies, significant challenges in implementing effective evacuation strategies remain, as demonstrated by an Indonesian oil and gas company operating in Algeria and Iraq. Issues such as unclear protocols, limited resources, and poor inter-party coordination persist. This study utilizes a conceptual approach to examine the evacuation management strategies for migrant workers in these high-risk environments through a qualitative multiple case study approach, including interviews, focus group discussions, and AI-driven data analysis. The research identifies strengths in legal frameworks, planning, and technology, but also highlights critical gaps in evaluation, resource allocation, and organizational coordination. These gaps require more integrated and adaptive strategies. The study underscores the importance of communication, digital technology, and robust data protection in improving evacuation efficiency while safeguarding privacy. This research contributes to risk and crisis management literature, offering practical insights for multinational companies in the oil and gas sector. By optimizing migrant worker evacuation strategies, companies can enhance safety, operational sustainability, and crisis resilience, ultimately leading to more comprehensive and effective evacuation plans for their workforce in complex, high-risk environments.

Abstract

Oil and gas workers are faced with environmental conditions that are at risk of experiencing work fatigue. The perceived work fatigue has an impact on reducing the level of work concentration, if this condition is left unchecked it will increase the risk of work accidents. This research aims to determine the factors associated with work fatigue in oil and gas workers. This research aims to determine the factors associated with work fatigue in oil and gas workers. Research methods used in literature review with the PRISMA approach (preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses). In the journal search carried out on a database google scholar and ScienceDirect with the keywords "work fatigue” and “Oil and gas Industry Workers”. A total of 806 journals were identified, but 6 journals met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Based on 6 journals that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria, it was found that the factors that influence work fatigue felt by workers are: work related factors (shift work, ergonomic, workload, night shift, noise, heat stress) And individual factors (sleep quality, motivation, respiratory rate, blood pressure). The impact of work fatigue felt by workers increases the risk of work accidents and reduces work productivity. It can be concluded that the factors related to work fatigue are work-related factor and individual factor.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggambarkan distribusi faktor penyebab kecelakaan lalu lintas berdasarkan klasifikasi cedera korban kecelakaan lalu lintas yang terjadi di lingkungan Universitas X yang tercatat pada tahun 2014-2016. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif observasional dengan total sampel sebanyak 156 kasus dengan kriteria inklusi yaitu data kecelakaan yang dicatat oleh Unit Keamanan Kampus Universitas X pada tahun 2014-2016. Hasil penelitian menyatakan 54,3% kecelakaan non-sivitas, 60% kecelakaan tunggal, 66% dan melibatkan motor. Faktor manusia yang berkontribusi adalah 95.5% disebabkan oleh pengendara lengah, 71.8% disebabkan oleh pengendara lelah dan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh kondisi pengemudi mengantuk dan tidak tertib. Sementara penggunaan Alat Perlindungan Diri (APD) mempengaruhi terjadi kecelakaan lalu lintas. Faktor kendaraan adalah 46.2% kondisi kecepatan kendaraan ≥40 km/jam. Faktor jalan dan lingkungan adalah 55.8% adalah kondisi jalan yang menikung, 34.6% adalah kondisi jalan tidak rata dan sisanya adalah kondisi jalan licin dan cuaca hujan. Sedangkan kondisi jalan bergelombang tidak berpengaruh. Sebanyak 78.8% korban kecelakaan mengalami luka ringan, 19.2% mengalami luka berat dan 1.9% dinyatakan meninggal. Faktor yang berpengaruh pada luka ringan adalah lengah, lelah, kecepatan ≥40 km/jam, dan kondisi jalan menikung. Faktor yang berpengaruh pada luka berat adalah lengah, kecepatan ≥40km/jam, dan kondisi jalan menikung. Faktor yang berpengaruh pada korban meninggal adalah lengah, tidak tertib, kecepatan ≥40km/jam dan kondisi jalan menikung. Disarankan agar petugas lebih memperhatikan kondisi jalan menikung yang ada di kampus Universitas X, mengawasi kecepatan kendaraan dan selalu menghimbau untuk berkendara dalam kondisi fit.

Abstract

Selama Pandemi COVID-19 di dunia, pemerintah membuat peraturan dalam rangka pencegahan dan penanggulangan COVID-19. Peraturan ini diadopsi oleh beberapa perusahaan untuk mengambil langkah-langkah pencegahan dan penanggulangan COVID-19 di tempat kerja. Perusahaan bisa melakukan penerapan sistem kerja work from home, physical distancing, dan menerapkan PHBS (Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat efektivitas penerapan pencegahan dan penanggulangan COVID-19 di PT.XYZ. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan instrumen penelitian panduan wawancara, lembar studi dokumen dan lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 31 indikator Pencegahan dan Penanggulangan COVID-19 di PT.XYZ, indikator yang sudah diterapkan adalah sebanyak 29 indikator (93,6%), 1 indikator (3,2%) yang sudah diterapkan namun belum sesuai standar, dan 1 indikator (3,2%) yang belum diterapkan. Kesimpulan dalam penerapan pencegahan dan penanggulangan COVID-19 di PT.XYZ sudah sesuai dengan semua poin pada standar yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

Pembangunan di sektor konstruksi dalam beberapa studi dan penelitian mengandung risiko kecelakan yang lebih besar dibandingkan dengan pekerjaan di sektor lain. Angka kecelakaan secara global cukup mengkhawatirkan dan secara stastistik kematian akibat kerja pertahun sebesar >2,78 juta orang dan dua per tiga (2/3) terjadi di negara Asia. Menurut data ILO pada tahun 2018, lebih dari 1,8 juta kematian terjadi di kawasan Asia dan Pasifik dan tercacat 374 juta kejadian cedera dan penyakit akibat kerja setiap tahunnya yang mengakibatkan absensi kerja. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode literature review dengan menggunakan kata kunci faktor keselamatan dan kecelakaan kerja pada pekerja lapangan melalui database elektronik. Tujuan dari penelitian untuk menganalisis faktor dan penyebab kecelakaan kerja di perusahaan konstruksi. Dari jurnal yang diperoleh, faktor penyebab kecelakaan kerja pada pekerja terdiri dan faktor internal dan eksternal, faktor eksternal adalah dari faktor lingkungan sosial (social environment), dan faktor internal kesalahan manusia (fault of person), perilaku atau kondisi tidak aman (unsafe act or condition) yang dapat menyebabkan kecelakaan (accident), dan cidera (injury), dan kematian (Fatality). Sebagian besar kecelakaan terjadi akibat dari tindakan tidak aman dan kondisi tidak aman, karena semua bahaya di tempat kerja konstruksi tidak dapat dihilangkan, hanya dapat diidentifikasi dan dicegah, seperti teori penyebab kecelakaan dan kesalahan manusia, teori yang memberikan gambaran mengapa terjadi kecelakaan kerja.

Abstract

The oil and gas industry has a high risk of losses due to fire. There have been several fire incidents in the oil industry involving fires in crude oil tanks. The objective of this research is to assess the level of fire risk in Crude Oil Tank T32 at Company. The research method used is to analyze the frequency of fire occurrences using event tree analysis and modeling the consequences of fires using ALOHA software. After conducting frequency analysis and consequence modeling, individual risk and social risk are calculated. Results: Based on the results of consequence modeling, the furthest distance for heat radiation with a 100% risk of death is 84 meters. The largest risk calculation result is in the leaky tank scenario with a hole size of 100 mm with an individual risk value of 1,84 x 10-8 and a social risk value of 3,13 x 10-7. The results of the T32 tank fire risk assessment at Company A's oil collection tank facility show that individual and social risks are still within the acceptable risk category according to the UK HSE Risk Acceptance Criteria. Even though the risk of a fire incident is still within acceptable limits, risk control efforts still need to be carried out so that the risk remains within acceptable tolerance limits

Abstract

Fire safety in healthcare facilities is a crucial aspect of risk management, especially in hospitals that have a high level of complexity in patient evacuation and medical asset protection. Therefore, an evaluation of fire emergency response readiness is needed to ensure the effectiveness of the mitigation system implemented. This study used the Fire Emergency Response Readiness Assessment Tools (FERRAT) form to assess the readiness of fire safety management in hospitals. Data was collected through direct observation methods, in-depth interviews with fire safety teams, and analysis of policy documents and emergency response procedures. The study showed that the overall fire safety readiness of the elements that had reached an average of <90% with an overall value of 91.28%. This achievement indicates that risks in hospital operational activities have been managed safely, so that mitigation of patient safety in fire emergency conditions can be carried out optimally. Although several aspects still require significant improvement. The main weaknesses were identified in the frequency of staff training, the maintenance of fire protection systems, and the effectiveness of coordination between units in dealing with emergency situations. this study may support hospitals in independently evaluating in conducting independent evaluations and immediately implementing improvements related to risk-based system design, adequacy according to potential fire risks, and ensuring that emergency response equipment is always in a ready and optimal condition for operation.

Abstract

Ammonia is a highly toxic substance, and its dispersion in industrial settings presents significant risks to both personnel and surrounding communities. This study focuses on the risk assessment of ammonia gas dispersion and explosion scenarios in an ammonia plant. The research aims to evaluate the exposure risks associated with ammonia leaks, assess the effectiveness of mitigation measures, and provide safety recommendations. The study uses a semi-integrated 2D modeling approach for consequence modeling, with hazard identification and event tree analysis to calculate leak frequencies and potential final events. The exposure risk evaluation indicates that the entire target area is at risk of exposure to ammonia gas at concentrations above the threshold of 35 ppmv, due to high ammonia content in the process flow and operational pressures. Key findings suggest that the most at-risk areas include control rooms, workshop areas, and assembly points. To mitigate these risks, recommendations include engineering controls, improved toxic gas detection systems, and enhanced safety measures such as regular maintenance of equipment, double-door procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE). The implications of this research stress the need for ongoing safety assessments and preventive strategies to reduce potential exposure risks in ammonia handling facilities.
