Abstract

Daun cempedak (Artocarpus integer) dimanfaatkan secara tradisional oleh masyarakat Kalimantan Selatan dalam pengobatan. Golongan fenolik terkandung dalam ekstrak daun cempedak dan memiliki kemampuan sebagai antioksidan. Fraksi dari ekstrak daun cempedak belum pernah ditetapkan kadar fenolik total dan akivitas antioksidannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui fraksi dari ekstrak daun cempedak yang mengandung kadar fenolik dan aktivitas antioksidan tertinggi. Penelitian dimulai dengan pengeringan daun segar menggunakan lemari pengering, pembuatan serbuk simplisia, proses ekstraksi secara maserasi, pengeringan ekstrak dengan lemari pengering, dan proses fraksinasi dengan pelarut n-heksan, etil asetat dan aquadest. Penetapan kadar fenolik total dapat dilakukan dengan reagen Folin-Ciocalteu dan menggunakan baku pembanding asam galat. Aktivitas antioksidan dilakukan menggunakan metode DPPH berdasarkan nilai IC50 dan dengan pembanding kuersetin. Kadar fenolik total pada fraksi n-heksan 9,352 ± 0,113% b/b, fraksi etil asetat 12,595 ± 0,415% b/b, dan fraksi aquadest 9,992 ± 0,485% b/b ekivalen asam galat. Fraksi n-heksan, etil asetat, dan aquadest masing-masing memiliki nilai IC50 sebesar 89,192 ± 2,91 bpj (kuat), 64,754 ± 2,803 bpj (kuat), dan 82,247 ± 23,034 bpj (kuat). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini bahwa fraksi etil asetat memiliki kadar fenolik total tertinggi dan aktivitas antioksidan paling kuat dibandingkan fraksi n-heksan dan fraksi aquadest dari ekstrak daun cempedak. Cempedak (Artocarpus integer) leaves are traditionally used by people in South Kalimantan as medicine. The phenolic group contained in cempedak leaf extract has known as an antioxidant. The fraction of cempedak leaf extract has never been determined for total phenolic content and antioxidant activity. This study aimed to determine the fraction of cempedak leaf extract that contains the highest levels of phenolic and antioxidant activity. The study started with drying of fresh leaves using a drying cabinet, simplicia powder preparation, maceration extraction, extract drying, and fractionation with n-hexane, ethyl acetate and aquadest as solvents. Determination of total phenolic content was obtained with Folin-Ciocalteu reagent and gallic acid as a standard for comparison. Antioxidant activity was measured using the DPPH method based on the IC50 value and comparison with quercetin. The total phenolic content of the n-hexane, ethyl acetate and aquadest fraction were 9.352 ± 0.113% w/w, ethyl acetate fraction 12.595 ± 0.415% w/w, and aquadest fraction 9.992 ± 0.485% w/w equivalent gallic acid, respectively. The n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and aquadest fractions showed IC50 values of 89.192 ± 2.91 ppm (strong), 64.754 ± 2.803 ppm (strong), and 82.247 ± 23.034 ppm (strong), respectively. The conclusion of this study was that the ethyl acetate fraction had highest total phenolic content and strongest antioxidant activity compared to n-hexane and aquadest fraction from cempedak leaf extract.

Abstract

Ultraviolet rays cause wrinkles and premature ageing. The bad effects of sun exposure can be avoided by using sunscreen. Artocarpus integer is empirically used as a black spot remover and cold powder. Total flavonoid content is an extract quality parameter that is related to the consistency of the pharmacological effects produced. The purpose of this study was to determine the total flavonoid content and the value of Sun Protection Factor (SPF) from the dried extract Artocarpus integer. The study began with a drying of fresh leaves using an oven, making simplicia powder, extraction process by maceration, and drying extracts using a drying cabinet. The dry extract was measured for total flavonoid content using a spectrophotometer UV-Vis with quercetin as a marker. The dry extract also determined the SPF value at concentrations of 200, 400, 600, 800, and 1000 ppm. The results showed that the total flavonoid content of the dry extract of cempedak leaves was 1,283 ± 0.032 %w/w equivalent to quercetin. The SPF value of dry extract of cempedak leaves at concentrations of 200, 400, 600, 800, and 1000 ppm respectively, namely 2,923 ± 0.009, 5.990 ± 0.002, 8.846 ± 0.001, 13,181 ± 0.008 and 15.856 ± 0.1533

Abstract

Hypertension is a disease that often causes death because many people do not realize it. People have hypertension if the blood pressure above 140/90 mmHg after regular checking. In Sungai Ulin Public health center, hypertension is the second-highest disease. The study aimed to determine the characteristics of hypertensive patients and the profile of prescribing the use of anti-hypertensive drugs in outpatients in the period October 2020 at Sungai Ulin Public health center. This research is an observational descriptive study using retrospective data with the inclusion criteria. A population of all prescription anti-hypertensive drugs given to outpatients in the period October 2020 in Sungai Ulin Public health center (87 prescriptions). The results showed the percentage of prescription use of anti-hypertensive drugs, namely women who received more anti-hypertensive prescriptions as many as 59 (65,02%) prescriptions, while the age criteria from > 65 years was (26,43%). The majority of drugs were given in Puskesmas Sungai Ulin was amlodipine with a percentage of 72,41%.

Abstract

Pemahaman akan pengolahan limbah di masyarakat dilakukan untuk meminimalisir pencemaran lingkungan. Salah satu limbah rumah tangga di daerah Guntung Paikat, Banjarbaru Selatan, Banjarbaru yakni adalah limbah minyak jelantah, dikarenakan banyaknya warga yang berprofesi sebagai penjual kuliner baik katering, ayam geprek dan yang lainnya, ditambah lagi minyak jelantah yang dihasilkan dari rumah tangga. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, tim pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM) Program Studi Farmasi Universitas Lambung Mangkurat berinisiatif untuk melaksanakan suatu pelatihan pemanfaatan limbah minyak jelantah menjadi lilin aroma terapi. Tim bekerja sama dengan Kelompok PKK. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 13 Agustus 2022 dengan peserta yang hadir sebanyak 18 orang. Kegiatan tersebut terdiri dari: penyuluhan dampak dan bahaya penggunaan minyak goreng berulang-ulang, pelatihan penjernihan minyak jelantah dengan menggunakan kombinasi arang aktif kelapa sawit dan bleaching earth, demonstrasi pembuatan lilin aroma terapi berbahan dasar minyak jelantah serta evaluasi peragaan pembuatan lilin aroma terapi berbasis minyak jelantah dari para peserta pelatihan. Luaran yang dihasilkan berupa teknik pengelolaan limbah minyak jelantah, dan produk lilin aroma terapi. Secara keseluruhan kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan lilin aroma terapi berbasis minyak jelantah dan sosialisasi pentingnya mengurangi penggunaan minyak goreng berulang-ulang berjalan dengan sukses.

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara dengan penduduk mayoritas muslim. Masyarakat muslim setiap tahunnya melaksanakan kegiatan berpuasa hal ini menyebabkan terjadinya perubahan pola makan dan konsumsi obat. Meskipun agama islam mempunyai keringanan bagi yang tidak mampu melaksanakannya, orang sakit dan sedang dalam pengobatan biasanya tetap melaksanakan ibadah wajib tersebut. Pasien dengan penyakit kronis atau degeneratif biasanya mengonsumsi obat secara rutin setiap harinya dan mengonsumsi obat lebih dari dua kali sehari, sehingga diperlukan edukasi penggunaan obat saat berpuasa agar kesehatan pasien tetap terjaga. Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan di salah satu Apotek di Kabupaten Banjar kepada pasien dengan penyakit kronis, dengan langkah menanyakan terkait tata cara penggunaan obat yang diresepkan, memberikan edukasi terkait tata cara penggunaan obat saat berpuasa, kemudian mengevaluasi hasil edukasi. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah sebelum di pemberian edukasi 90,90% pasien belum dapat menjelaskan tata cara penggunaan obat dengan benar, dan 100% pasien dapat menjelaskan terkait tata cara penggunaan obat setelah dilaksanakan edukasi.

Abstract

Kratom (Mitragyna speciosa Korth.) merupakan tanaman tropis yang memiliki kemampuan melindungi kulit dari paparan sinar matahari. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui aktivitas tabir surya ekstrak etanol daun M. speciosa kuantitatif menggunakan spektrometri UV-Vis. Ekstraksi dilakukan dengan metode maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol 96%. Kandungan metabolit sekunder secara kualitatif dilakukan menggunakan skrining fitokimia. Aktivitas tabir surya diuji menggunakan lambda 290-320 nm dengan interval 5 nm. Ekstrak etanol daun M. speciosa diperoleh sebesar 86,09 gram (17,218%) dan pada konsentrasi 250 ppm menunjukkan adanya aktivitas tabir surya dengan nilai SPF sebesar 8,433. Daun kratom asal Kalimantan Selatan berpotensi sebagai produk kosmetik tabir surya. Kata Kunci: Kratom, Spektrofotometri UV-Vis, Tabir Surya, Flavonoid Kratom (Mitragyna speciosa Korth.) is a tropical plant that has the ability to protect the skin from sun exposure due to the presence of flavonoids. The purpose of this study was to determine the sunscreen activity of the M. speciosa leaves ethanolic extract, quantitatively by UV-Vis spectrometry. Extraction was carried out by maceration method in 96% ethanol. The content of secondary metabolites were qualitatively determined using the phytochemistry screening study. The sunscreen activity was tested using 290-320 nm (5 nm intervals). The ethanol extract of M. speciosa leaves was obtained by 86.09 grams (17.218%) and with a concentration of 250 ppm showed sunscreen activity with an SPF value of 8.433. Kratom leaves from South Kalimantan have potential as a sunscreen.

Abstract

Stunting is a condition of chronic malnutrition and has long-term impacts on growth, mental and cognitive abilities, low immunity, productivity and reproduction. Tungkaran Village is in Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan. The prevalence of stunting under five cases in South Kalimantan in 2018 reached 25-30%. The lecture method is a method of conveying information orally. Leaflets are printed media for conveying information to the public effectively. The aim of this activity is to increase public knowledge as an effort to prevent and handle stunting incidents. Community service activities include stunting education to the community, pretests, delivering education using leaflets, discussions and questions and answers, as well as evaluating activities with posttests. The results of implementing community service in Tungkaran Village, Martapura District, Banjar Regency using the lecture method using leaflet media showed an increase in the knowledge of mothers of toddlers, posyandu cadres and the community about preventing and handling stunting in children from 77.57% to 99.69%.

Abstract

Many biscuits circulating in the community are not labeled and do not include the value of water and protein content in accordance with SNI. Therefore, it is necessary to determine the water content and protein content in the biscuits. Determination of water content and protein content in biscuits was carried out on 2 biscuit samples taken at the Banjarbaru Market. The water content test on the sample was carried out by the gravimetric method and the protein content test was carried out by the Kjeldahl method. The results obtained were the test of water content of 2 biscuit samples respectively at 4.43% and 3.84%. While the results of the protein content test from 2 samples are 5.31% and 6.89%, respectively. According to SNI 01-2973-2011 the water content limit does not exceed 5% while the protein content limit is a minimum of 5%. The results of 2 samples showed the water content and protein content in accordance with SNI.

Abstract

Green grass jelly leaf (Cyclea barbata Miers) is a plant that has many benefits with the content of green grass jelly leaves (Cyclea barbata Miers) which are carbohydrates, fats, proteins and other compounds such as polyphenols, flavonoids and minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, vitamin A, and vitamin B. This study aims to determine the comparison of the results of the phytochemical screening of infusion and green grass jelly leaf extract (Cyclea barbata Miers). This research is a type of experimental research conducted at the Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Analysis STIKES Muhammadiyah Klaten. The research stages included sample preparation, extraction process, and phytochemical screening. The data analysis of this research is in the form of qualitative, the data is presented in tabular form and then the results are described. The results of phytochemical screening on green grass jelly leaves showed that the maceration and infusion processes of green grass jelly leaves contain flavonoids, alkaloids, saponins, and tannins. The difference is in the color change that occurs from the results of determining the flavonoid compounds, the results show that the color of the maceration extract is brownish yellow, while the color in the infusion is yellow. The conclusion of this study shows that green grass jelly leaf extract contains flavonoids, alkaloids, saponins, and tannins.

Abstract

Penyalahgunaan NAPZA diketahui telah didominasi oleh pelajar dengan prevalensi tertinggi ada pada kelompok berpendidikan tamat SD dan tamat SMP. Sasaran utama dari kegiatan ini adalah siswa kelas VIII. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mencegah terjadinya penyalahgunaan NAPZA di usia remaja dengan metode penyuluhan melalui media power point. Hasil pretest dan posttest terhadap tingkat pengetahuan tentang NAPZA menunjukkan sebanyak 32 orang (74%) mengalami kenaikan pengetahuan, 6 orang (14%)  mengalami penurunan, dan 5 orang ( 2%) tidak mengalami perubahan. Hasil pretest dan posttest terhadap tingkat pengetahuan tentang rokok menujukkan 15 orang (35%) mengalami kenaikan pengetahuan, 2 orang (4%) mengalami penurunan, dan 26 orang (60%) tidak mengalami perubahan. Secara keseluruhan  siswa  SMP  Negeri  5  Martapura  yang  mengikuti Penyuluhan sudah mengetahui  tentang bahaya rokok dan NAPZA. Kata Kunci: NAPZA, Rokok, Pelajar, Penyuluhan  Drug abuse is known to have been dominated by students with the highest prevalence in the group with primary school education and junior high school education. The main target of this activity is class VIII students. This activity aims to prevent the occurrence of drug abuse in adolescents with counseling methods through power point media. The results of the pretest and posttest on the level of knowledge about drugs showed that 32 people (74%) experienced an increase in knowledge, 6 people (14%) experienced a decrease, and 5 people (2%) did not experience a change. The results of the pretest and posttest on the level of knowledge about smoking showed that 15 people (35%) experienced an increase in knowledge, 2 people (4%) experienced a decrease, and 26 people (60%) did not experience a change. Overall students of SMP Negeri 5 Martapura who participated in the counseling already knew about the dangers of smoking and drugs.
