Abstract

Objective: This study explores the factors influencing impulsive buying behavior among students during discount events on e-commerce platforms. Method: This study using a qualitative phenomenological approach, then in-depth interviews were conducted with ten active students who have participated in at least two discount events in the past six months. Results: The study evidence that large discounts create a sense of increased value, while FOMO (fear of missing out) and social influences heighten the urgency to buy. Additionally, the intuitive design of e-commerce apps facilitates impulsive buying and emotional outcomes such as satisfaction and regret, illustrating the complexity behind these decisions. According to the current research findings, e-commerce platforms are encouraged to integrate features that promote more mindful shopping, while financial literacy initiatives targeting students are recommended. Furthermore, governments could consider regulations to limit excessive promotional practices and ensure greater consumer transparency. Novelty: This study contributes to understanding impulsive buying behavior, offering insights for creating a healthier and more sustainable shopping ecosystem for young consumers.

Abstract

The background of this research is the existence of compensation factors, workload, and organizational commitment which are felt to be an influence on employee performance. These three factors are considered to be things that can improve and decrease employee performance. Compensation is an appreciation from the organization that is received by employees as an appreciation for their contribution to the institution. Workload shows the average activity of a job in a certain period of time, while organizational commitment as an interverning variable in relation to compensation and workload on employee performance. The study aims to see the influence of compensation and workload on employee performance through organizational commitment as a connecting variable in the Surabaya City Fire and Rescue Service. The researcher formulated the following research hypothesis: (1) Is the compensation significant for organizational commitment? (2) Does workload have a significant effect on organizational commitment? (3) Does compensation have a significant effect on employee performance? (4) Does workload affect employee performance? (5) Does organizational commitment affect employee performance? (6) Does organizational commitment mediate the effect of compensation on employee performance? (7) Do organizational committees mediate the effect of workload on employee performance? This study uses a quantitative approach with an associative type. The data collection technique uses questionnaires and interview methods on related sources. The method used by the researcher in processing data using the SEM Structure Equation Model with the help of PLS processing. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the compensation obtained by the Surabaya City Fire and Rescue Service had a significant effect on the Organizational Commitment they felt. The workload borne by the Surabaya City Fire and Rescue Service has no effect and is not significant to the Organizational Commitment they feel. The compensation obtained by the Surabaya Fire and Rescue Service has a significant effect on the performance of the employees they produce. The workload borne by the Surabaya City Fire and Rescue Service has a significant effect on the performance of the employees they produce. The organizational commitment felt by the Surabaya City Fire and Rescue Service has a significant effect on the performance of the employees they produce. The compensation obtained by the Surabaya City Fire and Rescue Service has a significant effect on the Employee Performance they produce through Organizational Commitment as an intermediary variable or moderation. Abstract

Several factors influence the performance of Service Employees, both external and internal. Therefore, this research aims to find out how the use of Information Technology affects the performance of Service Employees, to find out how the transformational leadership style affects the Performance of Service Employees, to find out how the Use of Information Technology and transformational leadership style affects the performance of employees at the Magetan Population and Civil Registration Service. This quantitative research was conducted at the Magetan Population and Civil Registry Service in 2024. Data was collected through documents and questionnaires, with validity and reliability tests on 81 respondents. Research data was analyzed using multiple regression techniques. The research results show that the use of information technology influences the performance of service employees, and the transformational leadership style influences the performance of service employees. Information technology and transformational leadership style significantly affect KKN learning achievement at the Magetan Population and Civil Registry Service. Based on the results of this research, it is recommended that department heads improve employee performance by implementing a transformational leadership style and learning to utilize information technology to develop employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of career development and training on the performance of apparatus within the Magetan Regency Government, namely the Manpower Office, the Industry and Trade Office, the Cooperatives and SMEs Office, and the Social Service. This study uses a causal quantitative design. The sample was determined by a non-random sampling method, involving 65 respondents who were employees with functional and executive positions in the four Regional Government Organizations (ODP). Data analysis uses multiple linear regression. The analysis showed that career development and training positively and significantly affected the performance of apparatus or employees in the four OPDs within the Magetan Regency Government. This study shows that career development and training significantly affect apparatus performance within the Magetan Regency Government. It is recommended that qualitative research be conducted to explore more deeply the factors that affect career development and training effectiveness.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine and analyze the effect of organizational trust and job satisfaction on job performance through employee engagement at PT. Adikara Jaya Sentosa. This research is a causality study with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique uses a saturated sample with a total of 75 respondents. The statistical analysis used in this study is the partial least squares (PLS) with the help of smartPLS 3.0 software. The results of this study prove that organizational trust has a positive and significant effect on job performance. Organizational trust has a positive and significant effect on employee engagement. Job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on job performance. Job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee engagement. In the indirect effect analysis, employee engagement is able to mediate the influence between organizational trust and job satisfaction on job performance.

Abstract

SMA Negeri 1 Wringinanom maupun SMA Trimurti memiliki sumber pendanaannya masing-masing dan kedua lembaga ini memiliki perbedaan dalam manajemen keuangan sekolah karena kedua sekolah ini walaupun berada di jenjang yang sama yaitu SMA tapi keduanya berbeda secara status. SMA Trimurti merupakan SMA swasta dan berada dibawah naungan yayasan sementara SMA Negeri 1 Wringinanom merupakan SMA Negeri dan berada dibawah naungan pemerintah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan fungsi-fungsi manajemen keuangan di sekolah dan dampaknya terhadap kualitas pendidikan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitiannya baik SMA Negeri 1 Wringinanom maupun SMA Trimurti telah melaksanakan fungsi-fungsi manajemen keuangan dengan baik mulai dari perencanaan, pengalokasian, pengendalian, pemeriksaan, dan pelaporan dan berdampak pada kualitas pendidikan masing-masing lembaga.

Abstract

Strategic management is considerably required by the government organizations in order to attain prosperity that could be translated through giving a good service and satisfaction to the society. The researcher utilized "Fish Schale Multi-science" approach and proposes three variables to define strategic management applications of East Java government organizations. These variables are authority, leadership, and commitment. 220 respondents from 37 organizations; from the agencies, institutions, and offices have chosen as the sample of this research. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) being utilized as the research analysis to clarify the correlation between the variables. Proposed model analysis is based on the "Fish Schale Multi-science" approach. Based on the research result, researcher concludes that strategic management implementation of East Java Government organization is still poor on improving its public services. It is due to centralized authoritative bureaucracy and directive leadership. Furthermore, it also found that the evaluation pose as the most prominent step in strategic management application in East Java Government Organization.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in the national economy, making a significant contribution to economic growth and development. In Indonesia, the presence of MSMEs greatly aids in reducing unemployment caused by limited labor absorption in the formal sector. The number of MSMEs in Indonesia, including in the Sawunggaling sub-district of Surabaya, continues to increase. The Sawunggaling sub-district itself has numerous potentials that can be developed into business activities. Unfortunately, due to limited human resource competencies, the creative spaces available have not been fully utilized by partners. Partners also face difficulties in designing attractive food and beverage packaging. This program aims to optimize existing facilities and provide training to foster entrepreneurial spirit and improve MSME skills in terms of food and beverage packaging design. The activities implemented include enhancing understanding and skills through training that introduces entrepreneurial strategies and product packaging, including incorporating MSME identity into the packaging. The results of the PKM activities show that the PKM target was achieved well, namely an increase in awareness and knowledge among MSME actors in the food and beverage sector in the Sawunggaling sub-district, Surabaya, about the importance of entrepreneurial mindset and product packaging, as well as packaging design ideas that can enhance competitiveness.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the influence of the health information system (SIK) and work motivation on employee satisfaction and performance at the Surabaya City Health Service Community Health Center, with job satisfaction as a mediating variable. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data was collected through questionnaires distributed to 317 respondents selected using cluster techniques random sampling. Data analysis was carried out using a Structural Equation Model (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS) to test the research hypothesis. The research results show that GIC has no effect on satisfaction. Work motivation was found to have a significant influence on job satisfaction. Motivated employees tend to have higher job satisfaction, driven by factors such as recognition, responsibility, and advancement opportunities. Apart from that, this research found that SIK did not have a significant effect on employee performance but work motivation had a positive effect on employee performance. Job satisfaction was also found to have a significant effect on employee performance, indicating that satisfied employees tend to have better performance. Job satisfaction is not proven to mediate the influence of SIK on employee performance, but it does mediate the influence of work motivation on employee performance. This research provides practical implications for Puskesmas management and policy makers in the health sector to focus on developing effective SIK and programs to increase work motivation to increase employee satisfaction and performance. The results of this research also provide theoretical contributions by enriching the literature on the influence of SIK and work motivation on individual performance in the context of health service organizations.

Abstract

Persaingan antar rumah sakit dalam meningkatkan kepuasan pelanggan menuntut strategi yang efektif, salah satunya melalui upaya mempertahankan karyawan. Di tengah meningkatnya jumlah rumah sakit, ketidakseimbangan antara pertumbuhan institusi dan kepuasan pelanggan menjadi tantangan signifikan. Sebanyak 77% tenaga kerja di Indonesia mempertimbangkan untuk mengundurkan diri, dengan alasan utama ketidaksesuaian gaji. Oleh karena itu, perencanaan sumber daya manusia yang strategis menjadi krusial. Employee Engagement (EE) dipandang sebagai faktor penting dalam mendorong kinerja dan keberlangsungan organisasi, mengingat sebagian besar waktu karyawan dihabiskan untuk bekerja. RSU X Sidoarjo mengalami peningkatan jumlah pengunduran diri karyawan selama tiga tahun terakhir yaitu 2% (2022), 3% (2023), dan 4% (2024). Fenomena ini menuntut evaluasi menyeluruh terhadap hubungan organisasi dan karyawan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Emotional Intelligence (EI) dan motivasi terhadap Employee Engagement (EE) dengan Kepuasan Kerja (KK) sebagai variabel mediasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan sampling sebanyak 174 karyawan, menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Analisis data dilakukan melalui Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) dengan bantuan IBM SPSS Statistics 25 dan SmartPLS 4. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa EI tidak berpengaruh terhadap KK, tetapi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap EE. Motivasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap KK, namun tidak terhadap EE. KK terbukti berpengaruh terhadap EE, serta memediasi pengaruh motivasi terhadap EE, namun kepuaasan kerja tidak memediasi pada pengaruh EI terhadap EE. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pentingnya manajemen sumber daya manusia yang terstruktur, termasuk sistem penghargaan dan punishment, promosi, penilaian kinerja, pelatihan, serta survei KK.
