Abstract

Based on the pre-survey in the field, it is illustrated that the work discipline of Padang City State Vocational School teachers is still not good. This is thought to have something to do with the principal's leadership and the work motivation of teachers. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research to test its validity. This study aims to reveal the contribution of principals' leadership and work motivation to the work discipline of Padang City State Vocational High School teachers. The hypotheses proposed in this study are: (1) principal leadership contributes to teacher work discipline, (2) work motivation contributes to teacher work discipline, (3) principal leadership and work motivation jointly contribute to teacher work discipline. The population in this study were all teachers of State Vocational Schools in Padang City, amounting to 277 people. The research sample amounted to 78 people who were taken with the Stratified proportional random sampling technique, taking into account the strata of the service period. The research instrument used is a rating scale and a Likert Scale model questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. The research data were analyzed by correlation and regression techniques. The results of data analysis show that: (1) principal leadership contributes to teacher work discipline by 28%, (2) work motivation contributes to teacher work discipline by 22. 7%, (3) principal leadership and work motivation together contribute to the work discipline of teachers by 47. 3%. The achievement level of teacher work discipline scores of 91. 34% is in the very high category, and for principals' leadership 88. 14% is in the good category while for teacher work motivation is 87. 27 of the ideal score is in the high category. The findings above imply that the principal's leadership and work motivation are two factors that can improve teacher work discipline, in addition to other factors.

Abstract

Background of this research from the results of the author's observations the factors that affect teacher performance and how much the contribution of these factors to the performance of State Middle School teachers in Kuranji District showsrlow teacher performance and suspected to have something to do with the lack of good leadership of the school principal and teacher work discipline.The purpose of this research forget data and information about (1)Keleadership of the principal of a public junior high school in Kuranji District.(2)Dthe work discipline of State Junior High School teachers in Kuranji District, and (3) PInfluence of the principal's leadership and work discipline on the performance of State Junior High School teachers in Kuranji District.This type of research is quantitativecorrelationalwith associative type.The population of this study namelyall teachers with Civil Servants (PNS) status at Public Middle Schools in Kuranji District, totaling 142 people, with a research sample67personteachertaken by techniq proportiona lscertified random sampling. Analystisdata using multiple linear regression test processed using SPSS version 24. The research results show that 1) Leadership has a significant effect on teacher performance. The better the leadership of the principal which is shown to lead to an increase in the performance of State Middle School teachers in Kuranji District; 2) Work discipline has a significant effect on teacher performance. This shows that the better the teacher's work discipline, the better the performance of State Middle School teachers in Kuranji District; 3) Principal leadership and work discipline have a significant effect on teacher performance. This shows that the better the leadership level of the principal and the teacher's work discipline, the better the performance of State Middle School teachers in Kuranji District

Abstract

Penelitian ini betujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan iklim sekolah terhadap kinerja guru di SLB se Kecamatan Koto Tangah. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode analisis regresi berganda. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru SLB se Kecamatan Koto Tangah berjumlah 99 orang. Data penelitian diperoleh dari observasi, wawancara dengan kepala sekolah dan warga sekolah serta penyebaran kuisioner. Dari hasil uji analisis data didapatkan hasil data berdistribusi normal, linear dan tidak terjadi multikolinearitas. Hasil pengujian pada taraf signifikan α 0.05 ( taraf kepercayaan 95% ) didapatkan hasil (1) Besarnya pengaruh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru SLB se Kecamatan Koto Tangan adalah sebesar 76,3%. (2) Besarnya pengaruh iklim sekolah terhadap kinerja guru SLB se Kecamatan Koto Tangah adalah sebesar 73,4%. (3) Besarnya pengaruh kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan iklim sekolah secara bersama-sama terhadap kinerja guru SLB se Kecamatan Koto Tangah adalah sebesar 78%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the contribution of principals’ leadership to the performance of vocational high school teachers. The research method used is descriptive quantitative. The research sample comprised 80 teachers from various vocational schools in the city of Padang, obtained through purposive random sampling. We collected data through two instruments, the principal’s leadership instrument and the teacher’s work perfomance scale. Each instrument uses a 5-point Likert scale with 40 items (principal leadership instrument) and 36 items (teacher performance instrument). We analyzed data with descriptive statistics and linear regression using Jeffrey’s Amazing Statistics Program (JASP). The results showed that the principal’s leadership contributed positively to the performance of SMK teachers in the city of Padang. The results indicate that there is a need to increase the intensity of the principal’s leadership in order to improve the performance of vocational school teachers in the city of Padang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi berdasarkan masalah yang penulis lihat yaitu mengenai hubungan komunikasi interpersonal dengan iklim sekolah di SMK Negeri 2 Payakumbuh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mendapatkan informasi tentang iklim sekolah di SMK Negeri 2 Payakumbuh, 2) mendapatkan informasi tentang komunikasi interpersonal di SMK Negeri 2 Payakumbuh, 3) mengetahui hubungan antara komunikasi interpersonal dengan iklim sekolah di SMK Negeri 2 Payakumbuh. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian korelasional yang menghubungkan antara variabel yaitu komunikasi interpersonal sebagai variabel X dan iklim sekolah sebagai variabel Y. Populasi penelitian adalah semua guru di SMK Negeri 2 Payakumbuh, teknik pengambilan sampel yang dipilih dengan stratififed proportional random sampling sebanyak 63 responden. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu angket. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik korelasi Product Moment. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh hasil 1) iklim sekolah di SMK Negeri 2 Payakumbuh yang terdiri dari indikator dukungan, minat profesional, inovasi dan kelengkapan sumber sudah terlaksana dengan baik dengan rata-rata skor 4,19, 2) komunikasi interpersonal di SMK Negeri 2 Payakumbuh yang terdiri dari indikator keterbukaan, empati, dukungan, sikap positif, kesamaan sudah terlaksana dengan baik dengan rata-rata skor 4,29, dan 3) variabel komunikasi interpersonal dengan iklim sekolah diperoleh nilai signifikan sebesar 0,958 > 0,05, sedangkan nilai thitung sebesar 0,63 > ttabel 199834, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa komunikasi interpersonal berpengaruh terhadap iklim sekolah di SMK Negeri 2 Payakumbuh.

Abstract

This training aims to help teachers, especially elementary school teachers in conducting PTK, for the improvement of learning in the future. In detail, the goal to be achieved in the first year is the teacher understands the method of classroom action research. Teachers are able to draft the PTK design and implement the PTK. Which will then acquire the copyright and publication of the manuscript on International activities. activities. In second  proceed to process of designing,  developing models and creating modules for building self-integrity programs and reducing student violence. Training activities of PTK methods for elementary school teachers are conducted in UPTD Padang Timur. The for used in lectures, training lectures, lectures, questions and answers and exercises. Before the question and answer is done, first the resource person presents the material that has been agreed upon. Then given the opportunity to participants to do question and answer and provide exercise in order to stabilize the material. The training of PTK method is done by presenting the material / theory about PTK method and followed by the drafting exercise of PTK under the guidance of the Implementation Team.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi hubungan kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dengan kinerja guru di SMA Negeri 1 Tigo Nagari Kabupaten Pasaman. Peneliti bertujuan untuk 1) mendapatkan informasi mengenai kinerja guru dalam melaksanakan tugasnya di SMA Negeri 1 Tigo Nagari Kabupaten Pasaman. 2) mendapatkan informasi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam melaksanakan tugasnya di SMA Negeri 1 Tigo Nagari Kabupaten Pasaman, 3) megetahui apakah terjadi hubungan kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dengan kinerja guru di SMA Negeri 1 Tigo Nagari Kabupaten Pasaman. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian korelasional untuk melihat hubungan yang terjadi antara variabel X yaitu kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan variabel Y kinerja guru. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang dipilih dengan teknik total sampling dengan 30 responden. Intrumen yang digunakan yaitu angket. Data dianalisis dengan mengunakan teknik korelasi product moment. Berdasarkan penelitian ini diperoleh hasil 1) kinerja guru sekolah di SMA Negeri 1 Tigo Nagari Kabupaten Pasaman yang terdiri dari indikator dukungan, tanggung jawab, disiplin dan inisiatif sudah terlaksana dengan baik dengan rata-rata 4,18, 2) kepemimpinan kepala sekolah di SMA Negeri 1 Tigo Nagari Kabupaten Pasaman yang terdiri dari indikator mempengaruhi, mengerakkan, mengarahkan, dan membimbing sudah terlaksana dengan baik dengan rata-rata 4,30, dan 3) variabel kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dengan kinerja guru diperoleh signifikan sebesar 5,45 > 2,042, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa hubungan kepemimpinan kepala sekolah berkorelasi positif terhadap kinerja guru di SMA Negeri 1 Tigo Nagari Kabupaten Pasaman.

Abstract

Teacher performance is a determining factor to improve the quality of education, teacher performance greatly affects the achievement of educational goals, the better teacher performance, the easier it is to achieve educational goals , this study aims to see where the contribution of organizational culture and organizational communication to teacher performance is. conducted at the Integrated Islamic Junior High School (SMP IT) in West Pasaman Regency with a total of 84 teachers taken using a random stratified proportion technique, taking into account the strata of the group and gender, the research instrument used was a Likert scale mode questionnaire which had been tested for validity and reliability. The research data were analyzed using correlation and regression techniques. The results show that: 1) organizational communication contributes to teacher performance 16.9%, 2) organizational culture to teacher performance by 19.0%, 3) organizational communication and organizational culture together contribute to teacher performance by 24.9 %, therefore it is hoped that the principal and related elements will pay more attention to organizational culture and organizational communication in schools so that teacher performance will be even better later.

Abstract

Penelitian ini analisis kebutuhan kepemimpinan pembelajaran  di SMP Kota Padang. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurang maksimalnya pelaksanaan kepemimpinan pembelajaran di SMP. Tujuan penelitian ini secara umum adalah untuk mendapatkan data tentang kepemimpinan pembelajaran dalam hal: 1) merumuskan visi dan misi; 2) pembelajaran terintegrasi dengan kurikulum; 3) pembinaan dan pengembangan staf dan 4) menciptakan iklim sekolah yang kondusif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi tersebar pada 12 Kabupaten dan 7 Kota di Sumatera Barat yang  diambil menggunakan teknik puposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket model skala Likert, data diolah dengan rumus mean. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa kepemimpinan pembelajaran yang dilihat berdasarkan indikator: (a)  merumuskan visi dan misi dengan skor rata-rata 4,4 pada persentase 88%; (b) pembelajaran terintegrasi dengan kurikulum dengan skor rata-rata 4,1 berada pada persentase 82%; (c) pembinaan dan pengembangan staf dengan skor rata-rata 4,2 berada pada persentase 84% dan (d) menciptakan iklim sekolah yang kondusif dengan skor rata-rata 4,3 berada pada persentase 86%. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa kepemimpinan pembelajaran sangat dibutuhkan di lingkungan SMP se-Sumatera Barat dengan perolehan skor rata-rata 4,25 yang berada pada persentase 85%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the contribution of principals’ leadership to teacher job satisfaction. Using quantitative correlational research methods, which will reveal the contribution of each variable. The research sample was 86 teachers. Data collection used two instruments, namely the teacher's job satisfaction questionnaire and the principal’s leadership questionnaire. Data analysis techniques using simple regression and correlation techniques. The results showed that the principal’s leadership significantly contributed to teacher job satisfaction. It can be concluded that the Principal’s leadership is one of the most important factors because it can affect teacher job satisfaction. So that improving the quality of leadership by school principals needs to be improved.
