Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini memberikan deskripsi tentang makna yang terkandung dari tanda dan simbol pada logo pemerintahan daerah di Propinsi Sumatera Barat. Metode deskriptif  kualitatif digunakan untuk mengkaji tema pada artikel ini dengan pendekatan semiotik. Pendekatan semiotik yang digunakan adalah analisis denotasi dan konotasi. Logo pemerintahan daerah yang dijadikan subjek penelitian mewakili daerah kepulauan, daerah pesisir, daerah dataran rendah dan daerah dataran tinggi. Unsur spasial untuk menganalisis makna logo menggunakan unsur spasial menurut Sharpe dan Huynh. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan makna yang terkandung pada logo pemerintahan daerah berasal dari kearifan lokal masyarakat setempat yang mewakili berbagai elemen fisik maupun non fisik. Salah satu makna yang terkandung adalah elemen fisik berupa unsur spasial. Hal ini menjelaskan bahwa pemikiran masyarakat Minangkabau sejak dahulu berasal dari unsur-unsur spasial dalam kehidupannya. Makna pada logo pemerintahan daerah perlu diungkapkan secara terbuka agar masyarakat dan pegawai pemerintahan dapat mengetahui dan memahami serta memaknainya sebagai kekayaan kearifan lokal yang harus dijaga, diamalkan dan dilestarikan.The purpose of this research is to provide a description of the meaning contained in signs and symbols on the logo of regional government in West Sumatra Province. Qualitative descriptive method is used to examine the theme in this article with a semiotic approach. The semiotic approach used is the analysis of denotations and connotations. The logo of the regional government that was used as the research subject represented islands, coastal areas, lowland areas and highland areas. Spatial elements to analyze the meaning of logos using spatial elements according to Sharpe and Huynh. The results of the study explain the meaning contained in the logo of regional government derived from the local wisdom of the local community which represents various physical and non-physical elements. One of the meanings contained is a physical element in the form of spatial elements. This explains that the thinking of the Minangkabau community has long been derived from spatial elements in his life. The meaning of the logo of regional government needs to be disclosed openly so that the public and government employees can know and understand and interpret it as a wealth of local wisdom that must be maintained, practiced and preserved.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: The aim of this research at proofing the hypothesis that writing skills of popular essay by using synectics method was higher than using conventional method at Indonesian and literatures department student on 2012 academic year of STKIP PGRI Sumbar. Experimental method with treatment by blocks design was used to reach the research target. The result of this research showed that the hypotheses was accepted. It can be seen that t count was higher than t table with dk=0,05. It can be concluded that the students was taught by synectics method was getting higher score than the students were taught by conventional method in writing popular essay. Key words: synectics method, reading interests, writing, popular essay Abstrak: Secara umum tujuan penelitian ini, yakni membuktikan hipotesis bahwa keterampilan menulis esai populer menggunakan metode sinektiklebih tinggi daripada hasil keterampilan menulis esai populer menggunakan metode konvensional pada mahasiswa program studi pendidikan bahasa dan sastra Indonesia STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat angkatan 2012. Metode yang digunakan dalam pencapaian target penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain treatment by bloks. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis yang telah diajukan dapat diterima karena berdasarkan penghitungan diperoleh thitung lebih tinggi dari ttabel dengan dk=0,05. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa mahasiswa yang diajar menggunakan metode sinektik lebih tinggi hasil keterampilan menulis esai populernya daripada mahasiswa yang diajar menggunakan metode konvensional. Abstract

Inquisitive semantics is defined as a framework in logic and natural language semantics. It deals with a study of meaning that leads to the process of understanding the philosophy and descriptions of Malay ways of thinking. The objective of this study is to find out the meaning of the sprout of bamboo shoot motif (Pucuk Rebung motif) as a symbol of Riau Malay and its correlation to behavior of Riau Malays. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using inquisitive semantic analysis. Inquisitive semantics combines theory, data, and nature in its analysis. The data taken are regarding with one of the motifs used as a Riau Malay symbol, the sprout of bamboo shoot motif. The data were collected by using the observation technique. The data analysis technique was carried out through 3 stages, namely script semantic analysis (to find out the meaning), cognitive semantic analysis (to find out knowledge), and inquisitive semantic analysis (to find out reasons). The research findings revealed that that the sprout of bamboo shoot motif symbolizes high commitment and optimism to achieve goals. The bamboo shoots were chosen because they are known as the batik motif with three parallel stripes and used as border design on the edge of a sarong. The motif makes a person using it confident. The findings also revealed that the Malay people are used to deal with their environment and reflect it as imagery in expressing a piece of advice. The Malay people believe that environment is the best reflection for life.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of reading material of Indonesian course by student and teacher in Senior High School. The type of reading is in the form of folklore in the West Sumatra area. This research used quantitativeapproach towards descriptive method. It is to describe the learning effect for students and teachers, where it is related to master a reading with critical reading learning using the Sharing Reading Literacy model. The research subjects were students of class X SMAN 15 Padang studying critical reading material and consisting of 10 classes. The instruments used were questionnaire sheets and interview guidelines. Data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics. Based on the results of data analysis, it shows that 74% of students need critical reading learning resources, 73% of student need critical reading learning media, and 58% of student need critical reading learning methods called Sharing Reading Literacy as required by the learning indicators. It shows that the local content text based sharing model affect the Indonesian Language course in Indonesian Senior High School.

Abstract

Menulis puisi adalah salah satu wujud apresiasi sastra. Siswa sekolah  menengah dibekali dengan pembelajaran sastra untuk mencapai kemampuan apresiasi mereka. Dalam menganalisis puisi yang ditulis siswa perlu dilakukan penganalisisan terhadap maksud yang ingin disampaikan sehingga keutuhan teks puisi dapat dilihat secara nyata. Tulisan ini dimaksudkan untuk melihat makna intensi pada kata-kata dari puisi-puisi yang ditulis siswa. Makna intensi atau intensionalitas adalah makna dari ungkapan-ungkapan yang ditulis yang menekankan maksud pembicaraan atau pesan. Orientasi yang bersangkutan dengan sikap pembuat teks disebut intensionalitas. Intensionalitas tidak dapat dilepaskan dari orientasi yang bermuara pada teks itu sendiri yakni kohesi dan koherensi teks. Intensionalitas harus terpusat pada orientasi teks dan yang terpenting adalah bagaimana pembuat teks membangun keutuhan serta keberterimaan teks demi kehendaknya.

Abstract

Abstrak: Aktivitas belajar, hasil belajar dan kemampuan berpikir spasial masih menjadi permasalahan dalam pembelajaran geografi. Guru memerlukan upaya dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di kelas geografi melalui tindakan kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui implementasi model PBL berbantuan Kahoot dan Google earth untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar, kemampuan berpikir spasial, dan hasil belajar geografi siswa kelas XII MIA 5 SMAN 15 Padang. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan tes hasil belajar, tes kemampuan berpikir spasial, dan observasi. Data primer dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa; model PBL berbantuan aplikasi kahoot dan google earth mampu meningkatkan aktivitas belajar geografi, model PBL berbantuan kahoot dan google earth mampu meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir spasial, model PBL berbantuan kahoot dan google earth mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar geografi. Peran serta yang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar, hasil belajar dan berpikir spasial dijelaskan dalam hasil penelitian ini.   Abstract:  Learning activities, learning outcomes and spatial thinking skills are still a problem in learning geography. Teachers need efforts to improve the quality of learning in geography classes through classroom action. This study aims to determine the implementation of the Kahoot-assisted PBL model and Google Earth to improve learning activities, spatial thinking abilities, and geography learning outcomes for class XII MIA 5 SMAN 15 Padang. Data were collected using learning achievement tests, spatial thinking skills tests, and observation. Primary data were analyzed by descriptive quantitative and qualitative. The research results prove that; PBL models assisted by kahoot and google earth applications are able to increase geography learning activities, PBL models assisted by kahoot and google earth are able to improve spatial thinking skills, PBL models assisted by kahoot and google earth are able to improve geography learning outcomes. Participation is done to increase learning activity, learning outcomes and spatial thinking are explained in the results of this study.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was aimed to determine the validity of the design development of the e-Learning-Based Sharing Reading Literacy Model Design. this research was conducted using the development method. This the research is more related to formative studies with the use of exploratory studies for evaluation during the development process. In this study, it was carried out at the validation stage which involved experts in their fields. The research instrument used to obtain data is through a validity assessment by filling out a validation questionnaire sheet, consisting of 22 statement items, with 3 indicators and 7 sub indicators. The result of this research showed that development of the e-learningn-based sharing reading literacy model design is valid Keywords: Model design, reading sharing literacy, e-learning, validity
