Abstract

Red chilli (Capsicum annuum L.) is one of vegetables that useful for Indonesian people. Red chilli contains high vitamin C (ascorbic acid) and beta-carotene that surpass fruits often consumed by people like papaya, mango, pineaple and watermelon. Red chilli easily rotten so scientist use sodium benzoate to preservate anti-fungi. Red chilli which use sodium benzoate stored in 10oC (freezer) with variate in one day, 5 days and 10 days saving. This research point is to know the impact of sodium benzoate, saving time, saving in the room teperature and saving in the freezer to the red chilli vitamin C level. This research is held in the Politeknik Kesehatan Palembang Jurusan Gizi Laboratory. The decision of the vitamin C level based on the iodin titration. This research used completely randomized design with 8 treatments, 3 replications and 3 saving times till we get 72 trials. These treatments are A1= 0%/100g, A2= 0,07%/100g, A3= 0,09%/100g, A4 = 0,1%/100g, B1= 0%/100g, B2= 0,07%/100g, B3= 0,09%/100g, dan B4= 0,1%/100g which each saved one day, 5 days and 10 days in the room teperature and freezer. This research result show that saving time treatment have real impact to the red chilli vitamin C level is F count 238,57 more than 3,30 in the F table. In the adding concentration treatment sodium benzoate doesn‟t have the real impact to the red chilli vitamin C level that F count 0,023 less than 3,49 in the F table. The temperature treatment doesn‟t also have the real impact to the red chilli vitamin C level that F count -0,0008 less than the 18,51 in the F table. This research higest vitamin C level in the adding sodium benzoate 0,07% treatment which save in the room temperature since from H0 until H+10 the vitamin C level is increassy.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of active learning strategy type everyone is a teacher here to the results of students' Biology learning. This type of research is a quantitative research. The population used is the entire class VIII in one school in Musi Banyuasin Regency which consists of three classes. The technique used is purposive sampling technique, from three classes of population are taken two classes that are used as sample of experimental class and control class that is class VIII.1 and VIII.2 with the number of students as much as 54 people. Data collection is done by giving test and questionnaire of student responses. After the data obtained from the research results then the data is analyzed by 2 ways, namely by inferential analysis techniques and n-gain. Inferential technique is used to find out the influence of active learning strategy type everyone is a teacher here on student learning outcomes. The results showed that there is a positive influence of the use of active learning strategy type of everyone is a teacher here on student learning outcomes, it can be seen from the t-test that is tcount 4,167> ttabel 1,675 and significance value 0,000<0,05, hence Ha accepted and H0 is rejected, and based on the comparison of mean values and the percentage of student learning outcomes indicates that the experimental class is superior to the control class. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of learning model of Active Learning type of Index Card Match on student's interest in science class VII MTs. This research is a kind of quantitative research. Sampling in this research is done by purposive technique sampling which considering certain criteria based on the value of both classes taught by the same teacher. The sample of research taken by class VII.D and VII.E. This study was conducted during two meetings with the assessment instrument in the form of a questionnaire (posttest). The questionnaire was a questionnaire of students' interest in learning by shaving four indicators of student interest in learning: student interest, student attention, student involvement and feelings of pleasure. The results of this study indicate that students' interest in achievement of student interest indicators obtained 90.27%. In the indicator of student attention for the experimental class obtained 90.10%. Indicator of student involvement in the experimental class was 89.86%. The last indicator of the feeling of pleasure in the experimental class is 91.55%. The result of the research also shows that based on tcount 4,913> ttabel 1,993 and significance value <0.05, Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. The average score of students' interest in the control class is 63,205 and the experimental class is 68,805. In the four indicators of interest in learning are interest, attention, involvement, and feelings of pleasure, the percentage of the experimental class is higher than the control class. Therefore it is expected that the active learning model of index card match type can be used as a learning model because with this model the students will be more active in their activities so that their learning interest can grow and be maintained. Keywords: active learning, index card match, learning model

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the relation of learning style (visual, auditorial, kinestechtic) with students’ learning interest at VIII class on photosynthesis material in junior high school. Sampling technique in this research used probability proportional to size (PPS). Data collection used questionnaire. The results showed that there is a positive and significant correlation between learning styles with student learning interest in science subjects class VIII with a value of 0.789 are categorized as high correlation and significant value of 10.352. The result of correlation between the dimension of each learning style and the learning interest was obtained by visual learning style - learning interest with correlation value 0.380, auditorial learning style- interest with correlation value 0.673, kinesthetic learning style - interest with correlation value 0.396. This shows the style of auditorial learning has a higher correlation to student learning interest. The results of the calculation of determination coefficient obtained value 59.1% and the remaining 40.9% influenced by other outside factors and research variables. These results also show that learning can affect the level of student interest in learning during the classroom learning process. Therefore, by understanding the learning process in each student , the teacher can make the students' learning interest increase. Keywords: learning style, learning interest, photosynthesis, science

Abstract

Learning method Probing Prompting is a technique of learning by way of teachers presents a series of questions that are guided and dig so that there is a thought process that links the knowledge of each student and his experience with new knowledge being studied. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of learning method Probing Prompting with media images of students' learning motivation on science subjects in MTs Patra Mandiri Palembang academic year 2017/2018. This type of research is a quantitative research. The results showed that there was a positive influence on the use of the probingmethod prompting of student learning motivation, this can be seen from the results of t test ie t arithmetic 11.87 > t table 1,666 with significance level (α) = 0,05. It shows H a received and H 0 rejected, as well as based on comparison of mean scores and the percentage of student motivation indicates that the experimental class is superior to the control class.
