Abstract

While there are pervasive canonical examples of the Stroop task effectiveness to induce the ego depletion effect, there were much less is known about how this paradigm used in the Indonesian samples. Our current study aims to investigate whether the Indonesian version of Stroop task would generate ego depletion effect. Seventy-five university students between the ages of 18 and 21 were randomly assigned into three groups, two depletion and one control conditions. The first and second groups respectively received incongruent and congruent Stroop stimulus through Psytoolkit online experimental psychology platform, and the third group received no stimulus. We administered the online Corsi block test to participants in the experimental group and compared their scores with the control group to determine whether or not ego depletion effect, induced by the Stroop task, had occurred. The findings of this online experimental study demonstrate that there were no significant differences (p > .001) in participants' spatial span scores across three groups. The findings of this study suggest that performing the Stroop task to elicit the ego depletion effect should be carried out with caution. Its implication and recommendation for future research are discussed in the paper.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of emotional support on early adult’s marital satisfaction in Banten Province. This study used quantitative method with the number of respondents as many as 170 early adults in Banten Province who are married. Data collection was carried out using an online questionnaire. The instruments used were the ENRICH Marital Satisfaction (EMS) Scale developed by Fowers and Olson (1993) to measure marital satisfaction and the Support in Intimate Relationships Rating Scale-Revised (SIRRS-Rating) developed by Barry et al. (2009) to measure emotional support. The analytical technique used is simple linear regression analysis with a parametric statistical approach. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence of emotional support on early adult’s marital satisfaction in Banten Province with a significance value of 0,000.

Abstract

Pasirtanjung village has many young people who have an essential role in the village. However, although the number of youths is quite large, the Karang Taruna in Pasirtanjung Village is still unable to function optimally because members are not active enough to contribute. Therefore, Karang Taruna does not function like a youth organization. Meanwhile, to make the organization function optimally (achieve its goals), it is necessary to have contributions from each member. Community service activities are designed to build a better village community, in this case, Karang Taruna. This activity resulted in a program to improve team building for youth organizations. This is done to strengthen teamwork, improve group performance, and increase emotional attachment between group members and trust between members. Moreover, it optimizes the role of Karang Taruna in achieving its goal as one of the community institutions that helps build the village. The first step in building team building is strengthening group cohesiveness within the youth organization.A series of programs were designed to improve team building: 1) providing materials, 2) training, and 3) Focus group discussions. These team-building activities have been proven to help improve group performance. Systematic team-building activities can increase emotional attachment between group members and trust between members. This series of activities can ultimately be measured through pretest-posttest measurements related to group cohesion. The results show that the understanding of youth regarding group cohesion in youth organizations has increased after being given training. This training can provide new insights to the trainees that developing an organization requires an active and mutually supportive team.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the students’ interestat the School of Education, State University of Jakarta. The interest model was based on Holland interest theoritical framework. Descriptive analysis was used to analyze the data from eight dapartments at school of education. The respondents involved 200 students from 2008 to 2011 recruitment. The data were collected through purposive nonrandom sampling technique. The results show that majority of respondents have entepreuners interest, then social, and realistic interest the fewest. The result shows that majority interest of FIP students matches with their academic background.

Abstract

Social skills are essential for everyone to have. The cultivation and development of social skills are essential for children. From an early age, children need to be instilled and developed with social skills to face life in school and society well. The cultivation and development of social skills for children are crucial, considering the changing times that can make children lack social skills. For example, the rapid development of information technology, mobile phones, online games, and other communication media can make a person’s skills, especially children’s, less developed or even decline. Therefore, it is very important to develop social skills for children. Besides parents, teachers and facilitators at school also play a crucial role in developing children’s social skills. However, with this module-shaped instrument, guidance for teachers and facilitators to develop children’s social skills becomes crucial. In this community service, a pilot project will be carried out to guide teachers and facilitators to develop children’s social skills. Teachers and facilitators will dissect and provide input on the guide so that it can be used later according to its purpose to develop children’s social skills.

Abstract

Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) berperan penting bagi ekonomi di Indonesia, termasuk di Desa Pasirtanjung, Kabupaten Bogor. Sumber daya manusia desa ini terserap di UMKM lokal yang sempat mengalami penurunan. Untuk itu diperlukan adanya penanganan agar UMKM dapat terus bertahan. Dengan adanya peluang perkembangan UMKM di era digital dan berdasarkan Rencana Pembangunan Jangka Menengah Desa (RPJMD) Pasirtanjung, Fakultas Pendidikan Psikologi UNJ melakukan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan dengan cara pelatihan UMKM Go Digital. Hal ini dimaksudkan untuk meneruskan upaya agar UMKM bukan hanya memiliki pengetahuan pemasaran digital, melainkan juga mampu secara teknis melakukan pemasaran digital secara konkret. Untuk itu, program pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan pelatihan yang mencakup tiga hal utama yaitu pembuatan segmentasi, penataan visual dan penulisan (copywriting), serta teknik penggunaan aplikasi desain Canva. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi, peserta memberikan penilaian reaksi yang positif dan terdapat peningkatan pemahaman serta keahlian teknis dalam pemasaran digital yang signifikan. Pasca sebulan pelatihan, peserta pun merasakan manfaat kegiatan ini dalam aktivitas usahanya sehari-hari, terutama dengan adanya peningkatan keahlian dalam penggunaan aplikasi desain Canva©. Peserta juga lebih mampu membuat media pemasaran yang sesuai dengan jenis usaha dan segmen yang dituju. Kedepannya diharapkan aktivitas penerapan pemasaran digital dapat terus berlanjut dan termonitor intens untuk hasil penjualan yang lebih optimal.

Abstract

Academic resilience is the ability to endure and recover from difficulties, and it is a key factor in students' educational success, helping them adapt and continue progressing in their studies. Depression is a mental health disorder characterized by feelings of sadness, pessimism, loneliness, and sometimes has a familial tendency. It is associated with morbidity and mortality, often caused by substance abuse or suicidal tendencies. This explanation highlights that depression is a serious issue that can affect anyone and needs to be addressed with proper care and action. The sample in this study consisted of 118 respondents, who were students from a private school, aged 11-18 years, and had experienced bullying. Data collection in this research used two types of scales: the Indonesian Academic Resilience Scale Development and Validation, using Rasch Models, developed by Ramdani, Hanurawan, Ramli, Lasan, & Afdal in 2021, and the Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale (CES-D) developed by Radloff, L. S. (1977). The analysis method used in this study was regression analysis to examine the relationships between variables. The results indicated a significant influence of academic resilience on depression, with p = 0.032 < 0.05, meaning it has a 3.2% impact.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi gaya kepemimpinan pelatih terhadap hubungan dengan atlet guna mengetahui nilai-nilai dalam pencak silat. Gaya kepemimpinan dengan cara yang berbeda-beda dalam olahraga guna merealisasikan atau mewujudkan sesuatu yang ingin dicapai agar berhasil. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada 34 atlet POPB dengan kriteria sudah berlatih di POPB minimal 6 bulan. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan ANOVA untuk mengidentifikasi pola pengaruh antara gaya kepemimpinan pelatih dan hubungan dengan atlet guna mengetahui hubungan dan kedisiplinan pada atlet. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan pelatih memiliki pengaruh yang besar dan positif dalam membangun hubungan emosional dengan atlet.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Intensi kewirausahaan merupakan faktor krusial dalam mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi dan penciptaan lapangan kerja, namun pembentukannya dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor psikologis dan sosial yang kompleks. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh sikap (attitude), kontrol perilaku yang dipersepsikan (perceived behavioral control), norma subjektif (subjective norms), dan pendidikan kewirausahaan (entrepreneurship education) terhadap intensi kewirausahaan berdasarkan kerangka Theory of Planned Behavior melalui tinjauan literatur sistematis. Metode: Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode systematic literature review (SLR) terhadap artikel-artikel yang diterbitkan periode 2020-2024 dari database Scopus, Web of Science, ScienceDirect, Emerald Insight, dan Google Scholar, dengan analisis menggunakan thematic analysis. Hasil menunjukkan sikap terhadap kewirausahaan memiliki pengaruh konsisten dan signifikan terhadap intensi kewirausahaan, kontrol perilaku yang dipersepsikan menunjukkan pengaruh yang bervariasi tergantung konteks, norma subjektif memperlihatkan inkonsistensi yang signifikan antar penelitian, sementara pendidikan kewirausahaan umumnya berpengaruh positif dengan peran sebagai moderator dan mediator. Kesimpulan: Kombinasi keempat variabel memberikan pemahaman holistik tentang pembentukan intensi kewirausahaan dengan interaksi kompleks melibatkan efek mediasi dan moderasi, sehingga diperlukan pendekatan integratif dalam pengembangan program pendidikan kewirausahaan yang efektif.
