Abstract

This article aims to examine re-introduce the art of the Potehi puppets which was dim during the Suharto era. On the other hand, this study will describe the condition of the Potehi puppet in 1967-2000 in Sidoarjo followed by its influence in the socio-cultural and religious fields on the community around the Tjong Hok Kiong temple, Sidoarjo. The method in this research refers to the historical research method. The development of the Potehi puppet in Sidoarjo had experienced a slump during the Suharto era and began to grow again during the Gus Dur era. These developments affected the socio-cultural and religious fields of the community, including significant economic changes and a high attitude of religious tolerance.Penulisan artikel ini mempunyai tujuan untuk mengenalkan kembali seni pertunjukan wayang Potehi yang sempat redup era Soeharto. Di sisi lain, penelitian ini akan menjabarkan kondisi wayang Potehi pada 1967-2000 di Sidoarjo diikuti dengan pengaruhnya dalam bidang sosial-budaya dan religi terhadap masyarakat sekitar kelenteng Tjong Hok Kiong, Sidoarjo. Metode dalam penelitian ini mengacu pada metode penelitian sejarah. Perkembangan wayang Potehi di Sidoarjo sempat mengalami keterpurukan pada masa Soeharto dan mulai tumbuh kembali pada masa Gus Dur. Perkembangan tersebut memengaruhi bidang sosial-budaya dan religi masyakat, Di antaranya adalah adanya perubahan perekonomian yang signifikan dan sikap toleransi beragama yang tinggi.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of the problem-based learning model, project-based model, and multicultural-based learning model on the prosocial behavior of elementary school students in Surabaya. The research applied is experimental research. The design in this research uses a nonequavalent Control Group Post-test Design. The research population is SDN Surabaya with research samples of fifth-grade elementary school students at SDN Margerejo I, SDN Sumur Welut III Surabaya, SDN Dukuh Menanggal 601 Surabaya. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire with 30 questions, while the research instrument uses the Measure of Prosocial Tendencies by adapting Carlo's. The data analysis technique uses the T-test. From the results of data processing, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Model Problem Based Learning, Model Project Based Learning, and Model Multicultural Based Learning on the prosocial behavior of elementary school students in Surabaya

Abstract

The research topic in this study examines the role and autobiography of Ki Samin Surosentiko or Raden Kohar, who was a farmer who became a preacher and messiah in the saminism movement in the period 1889-1914. The teachings of Ageman Adam or Religions of Adam, the concepts of millenarianism, messianism were used to oppose the policy of tax payment and land tenure through the sikep resistance movement the Dutch East Indies Government in Central Java and East Java. This research is a historical research using historical research methodology so that this research aims to reveal historical facts from the perspective of the Dutch East Indies and saminism by using primary historical and newspapers as well as historical records of teaching saminism figures and using the approach of resistance theory and social resistance movement theory. The result of this research is, that Samin Surosentiko is a lineage of Javanese aristocrats who are considered to have charisma, magic, or sekti. Therefore, he is believed to be a messiah or Ratu Adil figure who is believed to bring salvation, revive the glory days of the indigenous people in the past, and can bring freedom from European colonialism. There is a fact that Saminism followers do not always carry out sikep resistance that prioritise the teachings and values preached by Samin Soerosentiko. There was one of the followers of Samin Soerosentiko, named Modongso who fought back with violence due to the arrest of Samin Surosentiko in 1907 by the Dutch East Indies Government.

Abstract

Abstract: Learning using an environment-based approach is urgently needed in the current Merdeka curriculum. In history subjects, one of them is by utilizing local history as teaching materials in schools. However, from the findings of problems at SMKN 1 Pangkalan Banteng, many students do not know their local history because they have obstacles in learning local history such as lack of internet access, lack of reading materials on local history, and living places that are far from historical sites. Next is also the lack of social attitudes of students in the aspects of mutual cooperation and self-confidence. Based on the findings of these problems, a teaching material was developed in the form of a textbook based on local history using historical studies of the Kutaringin Sultanate, and to know the effect on learning outcomes and social attitudes. This development uses the Dick & Carey research and development method which has 10 research steps. In the research conducted starting from the validation test, individual test, small group test, and usage test, it was found that the history textbook with the title Sejarah Kesultanan Kutaringin was valid and feasible to use. As for its influence on learning outcomes and social attitudes, especially in the aspects of cooperation and self-confidence, It was discovered that the textbook might enhance student social attitudes and learning results in the areas of collaboration and confidence, so that the history textbook with the title Sejarah Kesultanan Kutaringin was appropriate. used in secondary level schools, Tenth Grade students in West Kotawaringin Regency and can be mass-produced.Abstrak:Pembelajaran dengan menggunakan pendekatan berbasis lingkungan sangat diperlukan pada Kurikulum Merdeka saat ini. Pada mata pelajaran sejarah salah satunya adalah dengan memanfaatkan sejarah lokal sebagai bahan ajar di sekolah. Namun dari temuan masalah di SMKN 1 Pangkalan Banteng, banyak peserta didik yang belum mengetahui sejarah lokalnya karena memiliki kendala dalam belajar sejarah lokal seperti kurangnya akses internet, kurangnya bahan bacaan mengenai sejarah lokal, dan tempat tinggal yang terpaut jauh dari situs sejarah. Berikutnya juga kurangnya sikap sosial peserta didik pada aspek gotong-royong dan percaya diri. Berdasarkan temuan masalah tersebut dikembangkan sebuah bahan ajar dalam bentuk buku teks pelajaran berbasis sejarah lokal dengan menggunakan kajian sejarah Kesultanan Kutaringin dan untuk diketahui pengaruhnya terhadap hasil belajar dan sikap sosial. Pengembangan ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan Dick & Carey yang memiliki 10 langkah penelitian. Pada penelitian yang dilakukan mulai dari uji validasi, uji perorangan, uji kelompok kecil, dan uji pemakaian didapatkan hasil bahwa buku teks pelajaran Sejarah Kesultanan Kutaringin valid dan layak digunakan. Adapun pengaruhnya terhadap hasil belajar dan sikap sosial khususnya dalam aspek kerjasama dan percaya diri, didapatkan hasil bahwa buku teks tersebut dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan nilai sikap sosial siswa dalam aspek gotong-royong dan percaya diri, sehingga buku teks pelajaran Sejarah Kesultanan Kutaringin layak digunakan di sekolah-sekolah tingkat menengah khususnya kelas X di Kabupaten Kotawaringin Barat dan bisa diproduksi secara massal.

Abstract

The end of the cultuurstelseel policy and the emergence of the Agrarian Law of 1870 led to the development of plantations on a large scale, because this system gave private parties the right to develop their business in the field of export commodities by leasing native land. This has caused many people to migrate from villages to plantation areas to work as plantation labourers. This study attempts to describe the development of plantations which have begun to expand into inland areas on the island of Java, especially in Malang. Besides that, how is the life of plantation workers as plantation workers, where plantation workers occupy the lowest strata in stratification. This paper is reviewed using the historical method with sources that have been collected in the form of photo archives and documents, as well as several written sources in the form of books and articles. The policies implemented by the Dutch East Indies government greatly influenced the life of the indigenous people, especially from a social and economic point of view of the community itself. Berakhirnya kebijakan cultuurstelsel dan munculnya UU Agraria tahun 1870 menyebabkan perkembangan perkebunan secara besar besaran, karena sistem tersebut memberikan hak kepada pihak swasta untuk mengembangkan bisnisnya dibidang komoditas ekspor dengan cara menyewa tanah bumiputera. Hal itu menyebabkan banyaknya migrasi masyarakat dari desa menuju ke kawasan perkebunan untuk bekerja sebagai buruh perkebunan. Kajian ini berusaha menggambarkan perkembangan perkebunan yang mulai meluas ke area pedalaman di pulau Jawa terutama di Malang. Selain itu bagaimana kehidupan buruh perkebunan sebagai tenaga kerja yang menempati strata paling bawah dalam stratifikasi. Tulisan ini dikaji menggunakan metode sejarah dengan sumber yang sudah dikumpulkan berupa arsip foto maupun dokumen, serta beberapa sumber tertulis berupa buku dan artikel. Kebijakan yang diterapkan oleh pemerintah Hindia-Belanda sangat mempengaruhi kehidupan masyarakat bumiputera, terutama dari segi sosial maupun ekonomi masyarakat itu sendiri.

Abstract

Loddrok Rukun Famili is a performing arts group that has a long history of experience since the Japanese occupation and is one of the many ludruk groups that still exist today. This article tries to examine how the history of the ludruk Rukun Famili, as well as the dynamics of the storylines presented to describe the pattern of transitions in performances in each period, and how the influence of hegemony on the changes in the play brought about by the ludruk Rukun Famili resulted in a storyline that could not be separated from regime intervention. This study applies the historical method by utilizing various sources such as written archives, interviews and other sources. This study shows that the dynamic process of the storyline in the Rukun Famili is not only caused by a single factor but several factors such as modernization, changes in public interest and the political direction of each regime, based on these findings it is concluded that non-art factors then become considerations that influence the direction of change storyline of the Rukun FamiliLoddrok Rukun Famili merupakan kelompok seni pertunjukan yang memiliki pengalaman sejarah cukup panjang terhitung sejak masa pendudukan Jepang dan merupakan salah satu di antara banyak kelompok ludruk yang masih eksis hingga saat ini. Artikel ini mencoba menelaah bagaimana kesejarahan ludruk Rukun Famili, serta dinamika alur cerita yang disuguhkan hingga menggambarkan pola transisi dalam pementasan di setiap periode, dan bagaimana pengaruh hegemoni terhadap perubahan lakon yang dibawakan oleh ludruk Rukun Famili berakibat pada alur cerita yang tak bisa lepas dari intervensi rezim. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode sejarah dengan memanfaatkan berbagai sumber seperti arsip tertulis, wawancara dan sumber lainnya. Kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa proses dinamika alur cerita pada Rukun Famili tidak hanya disebabkan oleh satu faktor tunggal melainkan beberapa faktor seperti modernisasi, perubahan minat masyarakat dan arah politik setiap rezim, berdasarkan temuan tersebut disimpulkan bahwa faktor-faktor non kesenian kemudian menjadi pertimbangan yang mempengaruhi arah perubahan alur cerita dari Rukun Famili.

Abstract

This study aims to try to find answers to the problems of Why did the capital city of East Java province move during the independence revolution? And what were the conditions of East Java at that time?. The research method used in this writing is the historical research method which includes topic selection, heuristics, verification, interpretation, and historiography by analyzing and interpreting archival sources, photos, newspapers, books, and articles. The results of this study indicate that the relocation of the capital city of East Java province was motivated by the intervention of the Netherlands with the outbreak of the November 10 incident in Surabaya. This resulted in the government having to be implemented outside Surabaya, so the government moved to Sepanjang (Sidoarjo), this relocation continued to other areas such as Mojokerto, Kediri, Malang, Blitar, and then returned to Surabaya after the Round Table Conference in Den Haag. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencoba mencari jawaban dari permasalahan Mengapa Ibu Kota Provinsi Jawa Timur pada masa revolusi berpindah? Serta Bagaimana kondisi Jawa Timur pada masa itu?. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penulisan ini adalah metode penelitian sejarah yang meliputi pemilihan topik, heuristik, verifikasi, interpretasi, dan historiografi dengan menganalisis serta menginterpretasikan sumber arsip, foto, koran, buku, dan artikel. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwasannya perpindahan ibu kota provinsi Jawa Timur ini dilatarbelakangi dengan adanya intervensi dari Belanda dengan pecahnya persitiwa 10 November di Surabaya. Hal ini mengakibatkan jalannya pemerintahan harus dilaksanakan diluar Subabaya maka pemerintahan berpindah ke Sepanjang (Sidoarjo), perpindahan ini terus berlanjut ke daerah lainnya seperti Mojokerto, Kediri, Malang, Blitar, dan kemudian kembali ke Surabaya setelah Konfrensi Meja Bundar di Den Haag.

Abstract

Kusni Kasdut, his name is famous for his actions in the “dunia hitam” of Indonesia. Kusni Kasdut who once contributed his energy in the struggle to defend independence by becoming a bandit. Kusni's task in the enemy's rear-line territory was to raise funds for the struggle. However, after the war was over, disappointment turned Kusni Kasdut into a criminal. The purpose of writing this article is to describe Kusni Kasdut's journey from a “pejuang” to being sentenced to death using the literature research method assisted by conflict theory, social genealogy and social structure as an analytical framework. The result of this research is that post-independence social dynamics influenced individuals like Kusni Kasdut, who eventually chose a different path due to his disappointment against the state.

Abstract

Abstract: This research was conducted with the objective of identifying the potential and challenges at SMAN 1 Dampit in developing flashcard game learning media on the Battle of Ambarawa material. The findings revealed that the students at SMAN 1 Dampit displayed a high level of curiosity, which was evident throughout the discussion and delivery of results. The research also identified a lack of modification in the use of learning media, which has the potential to reduce students' interest in the learning process. This, in turn, may affect students' interest in learning and understanding. The objective of this research and development is to produce and test the effectiveness of flash card game media as a history learning media for class XI students of SMAN 1 Dampit. Researchers employed the research and development model method, as proposed by Sugiyono, to achieve these goals. The results of this research and development indicate that flashcard media is an appropriate medium for history learning. This assessment is supported by the findings of the media validity test (85 percent), material validity test (95 percent), small group effectiveness test (79 percent), and large group effectiveness test (81.5 percent) Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan potensi dan masalah di SMAN 1 Dampit untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran flashcard game pada materi Pertempuran Ambarawa. Potensi yang dijumpai pada penelitian ini adalah peserta didik SMAN 1 Dampit memiliki rasa ingin tahu yang tergolong tinggi, hal ini dapat dilihat dari proses diskusi dan penyampaian hasil. Sedangkan, permasalahan penelitian ini adalah kurangnya modifikasi dalam penggunaan media pembelajaran, sehingga peserta didik kurang tertarik pada rangkaian proses belajar yang kemudian berpengaruh kepada minat belajar dan pemahaman siswa. Studi ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan dan meguji efektivitas media Flash Card Game sebagai media pembelajaran sejarah untuk peserta didik kelas XI SMAN 1 Dampit. Peneliti memakai model penelitian dan pengembangan menurut Sugiyono guna membantu ketercapaian tujuan tersebut. Hasil dari penelitian dan pengembangan ini adalah media flashcard layak dipergunakan sebagai media pembelajaran sejarah berdasarkan nilai yang diperoleh yaitu sangat valid dan efektif. Penilaian ini dibuktikan dengan hasil validitas media sebesar 85 persen, validitas materi sebesar 95 persen, uji efektivitas kelompok kecil sebesar 79 persen, dan uji efektivitas kelompok besar sebesar 81.5 persen.

Abstract

Abstract The article aims to identify the impact of the application of mobile learning media on the history of defending Indonesian independence in Lamongan Regency 1948-1949 on the understanding of local history of class XI students at MAN 1 Lamongan. This research uses a quantitative method with an experimental study approach, and the design used is One Group Pretest-Posttest, by measuring the results of the pretest before treatment and posttest after treatment. The study population was the XI grade students of MAN 1 Lamongan, while the sample consisted of 36 students of class XI IPS 1 who had studied this material. This study used cluster sampling technique and data analysis with paired sample t-test and met the prerequisite test with Shapiro-Wilk method. The results showed an increase in understanding of local history, which was reflected in the pretest of 63.89 and posttest of 80.69. Hypothesis testing showed a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000
