Abstract

Novel termasuk ke dalam wacana yang dinyatakan secara tertulis, jadi penggunaan kata sampai dengan kalimat harus berkaitan secara padu antara kalimat sebelum dengan kalimat sesudahnya. Sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui; (1) penggunaan kohesi gramatikal (2) penggunaan kohesi leksikal. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu berupa metode deskriptif kualitatif melalui pendekatan analisis wacana. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa data tulis yang berbentuk teks mulai dari kata sampai kalimat yang mengandung kohesi gramatikal dan leksikal, dalam novel Laut Bercerita karya Leila S. Chudori. Pengambilan data penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode simak dengan Teknik lanjutan yaitu Teknik catat. Selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan metode agih dengan Teknik dasar bagi unsur langsung (BUL). Hasil dari penelitian ini ditemukan yaitu: (1) penggunaan kohesi aspek gramatikal meliputi: referensi (pengacuan), subtitusi (penyulihan), konjungsi (perangkaian) dan elipsis (pelesapan), yang didominasi dengan penggunaan referensi (pengacuan). (2) penggunaan kohesi aspek leksikal meliputi: repetisi (pengulangan), sinonim (sanding kata), antonim (lawan kata), serta kolokasi (sanding kata). Penggunaan Kohesi gramatikal ditemukan sebanyak 28 data yang terbagi atas 11 data referensi, 2 data subtitusi, 6 data elipsis, dan 9 data konjungsi. Sedangkan kohesi leksikal ditemukan sebanyak 13 data yang terbagi atas 5 data repetisi, 2 data sinonimi, 4 data antonimi dan 2 data kolokasi.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the use of figures of speech in Nadin Amizah's song lyrics and how this contributes to the aesthetic value of the song lyrics. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The results of this research found that in the collection of Nadin Amizah's song lyrics, 10 types of language styles and 2 types of aesthetic representation were found, namely linguistic and mental. This finding confirms that Nadin Amizah's collection of song lyrics uses a variety of language styles to support the aesthetic value in them.Keywords: Stylistics, Aesthetics, Figure of Speech, Song Lyrics, Nadin Amizah

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang penggunaan tingkat tutur dalam bahasa Madura yang digunakan oleh mahasiswa STKIP PGRI Sumenep dalam berkomunikasi di lingkungan kampus. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan tingkatan bahasa Madura (ondhâgghâ bhâsa) sebagai bentuk kesantunan berbahasa (honorifik) yang sangat penting dalam tata krama bertutur. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik simak libat cakap (SLC). Hasil dari penelitian ini ditemukan beberapa kata sapaan nama diri, kata sapaan pronomina persona, kata sapaan gelar akademik, dan kata sapaan jabatan dan pangkat yang dipakai mahasiswa sesuai tingkatan bahasa Madura yaitu menurut macamnya ada tiga (3); bhâsa enjâ’ iyâ, bhâsa engghi enten, dan bhâsa èngghi bhunten dan menurut naik turunnya/sorot sandherrâ bahasa terbagi tiga (3) bagian yaitu; bhâsa andhâp/bahasa rendah, bhâsa tèngnga’an/bahasa menengah, dan bhâsa tèngghi/ bahasa tinggi. Dengan adanya penelitian ini diharapkan mahasiswa dapat mengetahui kata sapaan sesuai tingkatan bahasa Madura dengan benar sehingga nantinya bisa berkomunikasi dengan baik dan santun ketika berhadapan dengan dosen atau pun pimpinan di kampus khususnya di STKIP PGRI Sumenep Madura.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan bentuk-bentuk konjungsi kohesi grammatika yang terdapat di dalam sebuah novel dengan judul woman at point zero karya Nawal El-Sadawi. Penelitian ini fokus terhadap bentuk-bentuk konjungsi serta fungsi kohesi grammatika dengan menggunakan teori Halliday untuk menganalisa data. Adapun metode pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kualitatif untuk menganalisis setiap kata, frasa, dan kalimat yang terdapat di dalam novel woman at point zero karya Nawal El-Sadawi. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bentuk-bentuk konjungsi kohesi grammatika yang terdapat dalam sebuah novel yang berjudul woman at point zero yaitu konjungsi Additive, Adversative, Clausal, and Temporal. Penelitian ini dapat menjadi acuan bagi para akademisi untuk penelitian selanjutnya dalam bidang yang sama dengan objek berbeda di masa yang akan datang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yang menganalisis tentang tuturan secara tertulis yang berada dalam novel “Dear Allah” Karya Diana Febi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan pengunaan bahasa khususnya yang mengandung dieksis spasial dan temporal dalam novel “Dear Allah” dengan tinjauan pragmatik. Deiksis merupakan salah satu ruang lingkup ilmu linguistik khususnya kajian pragmatik yang merupakan fenomena bahasa yang melibatkan penggunaan kata-kata dan penanda ekspresi atau indeksikal yang bergantung pada konteks situasi tertentu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan secara teoretis yaitu kajian pragmatik. Data penelitian ini adalah kata-kata dalam dialog novel Dear Allah karya Diana Febi beserta konteksnya. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini mengunakan metode simak dengan teknik dasar berupa: simak bebas libat cakap serta teknik lanjutan dari pengumpulan data tersebut berupa teknik catat. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan lebih lanjut tentang deiksis spasial dan temporal dalam sebuah novel atau objek penelitian lainnya serta memberikan kontribusi terhadap pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang kategori dan jenis penanda ekspresi dalam konteks spasial dan temporal.

Abstract

This qualitative descriptive study aims to describe the representation of literal and nonliteral speech acts in the novel "Dear Allah" by Diana Febi. From a theoretical perspective, this research uses a sociopragmatic system or view. While the method or technique of data collection in this research is a documentation study or literature study, in this case, the literature review is in the form of texts contained in the novel Dear Allah by Diana Febi. The novel is the primary data source. Documentation or literature studies are carried out through direct appreciation and rational understanding of the meaning implied in the novel. The results of this study show (1) representative literal speech acts in Diana Febi's novel Dear Allah and (2) representative nonliteral speech acts in Diana Febi's novel Dear Allah. This research makes a scientific contribution, especially in linguistics, on the sociopragmatic aspect so that understanding the implied meaning of a novel can be understood as a whole in terms of social meaning.

Abstract

The covid pandemic is one of the important impacts in learning, because learning during the covid pandemic by online. Over time, this period underwent a gradual transition. This transition is called the post-pandemic. At that time, the learning process in the classroom is offline. Thus, this study aims to describe the efforts and strategies carried out by classroom teachers in improving teacher skills in classroom management after the COVID-19 pandemic at the Integrated Islamic Elementary School in Sumenep Regency. The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative with interview technique. While the data obtained in the form of sentences and paragraphs from the interviews. The result of this study is strategy to improve the ability of teachers and create a more optimal teaching and learning process after the covid-19 pandemic. The research on classroom management after the COVID-19 pandemic in integrated Islamic elementary schools can be an illustration and example for teachers to be applied in the school.

Abstract

Instilling Islamic values in primary school students is crucial for fostering moral and spiritual character from an early age. This study examines the effectiveness of the R2SC technique (Routine, Role Model, Spontaneity, and Conditioning) in developing Islamic character in young learners by integrating structured activities and contextual learning. A qualitative case study approach was employed, with data collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews with educators and students, and document analysis of R2SC implementation in an Islamic elementary school. Thematic analysis was used to identify key patterns and insights. The findings indicate that the R2SC technique effectively instills Islamic values in students. Routine practices, such as communal prayers and religious activities, reinforce spiritual discipline. Educators and school staff serve as role models, demonstrating Islamic behaviors. Spontaneity in daily interactions helps students internalize values in real-life contexts, while conditioning ensures a supportive environment for continuous reinforcement. The study highlights the practical benefits of the R2SC approach in Islamic character education. It provides educators with a structured yet flexible methodology to integrate religious teachings into everyday school life, making moral education more impactful. The R2SC technique is a comprehensive method for Islamic character development in primary schools. Future research should explore its adaptability in different cultural and educational settings to enhance its global applicability and effectiveness.

Abstract

The rising cost of education has prompted students and families to seek alternative financing, including online loans. However, the use of online loans for education financing raises ethical and religious issues, particularly related to the practice of usury, which is expressly prohibited in Islamic teachings. This study aims to analyze the influence of religious understanding regarding the consequences of online loans and usury on individuals' decisions to use online loans as a source of education financing. This study used a mixed methods approach. Quantitative data were collected through a structured questionnaire from 20 respondents who had experience or considered using online loans for education, while qualitative data were obtained through in-depth interviews with 7 religious and community leaders regarding the concept, understanding, and impact of online loans on education financing. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and regression analysis to identify the relationship between religious understanding, awareness of loan consequences, and the decision to borrow for education financing. The analysis results showed that the variables of understanding online loans (X1) and understanding of religious values ​​(X2) did not have a significant influence on the decision to take out online loans for education financing (Y). Meanwhile, qualitative data were analyzed thematically to provide contextual and normative explanations for the quantitative findings. The results show that a higher level of religious understanding regarding usury and the socio-economic impacts of online loans significantly reduces individuals' likelihood of choosing online loans to finance education. Qualitative findings confirm that moral considerations, concerns about debt dependence, and a commitment to Islamic financial ethics are key factors in financial decision-making. This research contributes to the development of faith-based financial behavior studies and emphasizes the importance of religious literacy in addressing the challenges of education financing in the digital era.

Abstract

Purpose of the Study: Islamic religious education (PAI) in Indonesia plays a pivotal role in nurturing the character, morality, and spirituality of the younger generation. Among the key institutions delivering PAI are Islamic boarding schools (pesantren), which integrate religious and general education within a unique cultural and educational framework. This study aims to critically analyze the implementation of the Islamic education curriculum in pesantren and to assess its impact on educational quality and relevance in a rapidly changing societal context. Methodology: Adopting a qualitative library research approach, this study systematically examines scholarly literature, policy documents, and prior research to explore curriculum practices in pesantren. The focus is on understanding both traditional and modern models of curriculum integration and the challenges faced in adapting Islamic education to contemporary educational standards. Main Findings: The study reveals that traditional pesantren, emphasizing classical religious sciences, often encounter difficulties integrating competency-based curriculum reforms demanded by modern education systems. Conversely, progressive pesantren that adopt competency-based frameworks exhibit significant improvements in educational quality, particularly in practical skills aligned with societal and workforce needs. However, the transition remains uneven and faces structural challenges. Novelty/Originality of this Study: This research offers a novel perspective by highlighting the tension between maintaining religious authenticity and pursuing educational modernization in pesantren. It proposes a strategic model for curriculum transformation supported by government policy, teacher capacity building, and infrastructural enhancement. This study contributes to reimagining Islamic boarding schools as dynamic institutions capable of preserving religious values while equipping students for global challenges.
