Abstract

This study aims to predict the quality of the soldering process using a wave soldering machine by utilizing the Sugeno model Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) and Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) methods. Soldering is a critical stage in PCB (Printed Circuit Board) production, where its quality is influenced by parameters such as solder temperature, conveyor speed, and flux volume. Traditional approaches such as visual inspection are considered less effective because they are prone to human error. Therefore, this study proposes the use of Sugeno FIS and ANFIS to model the non-linear relationship between process parameters and soldering quality, which is measured through Defect Per Opportunity (DPO). Data were obtained from the actual production process and processed using MATLAB. Sugeno FIS was applied with fuzzification, rule making, and defuzzification, while ANFIS combines neural networks with fuzzy logic for data-driven optimization. The results showed that both models were able to predict DPO with high accuracy, indicated by very small Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) values (0.00179 for FIS Sugeno and 1.31597 × 10⁻⁶ for ANFIS). ANFIS excels in capturing non-linear complexity, especially in conveyor speed variations. Simulations using SIMULINK prove the effectiveness of this model in real-time prediction. These findings provide an innovative solution for the electronics industry to improve soldering quality automatically. Keywords -   Wave soldering, FIS Sugeno, ANFIS, quality prediction, DPO.

Abstract

Stunting is a form of long-term reflection of the quality and quantity of food consumed is inadequate and often suffers from infectious diseases in childhood. The problem of stunting is a nutritional problem that needs attention because it can affect the quality of human resources. Stunting problems, especially those that occur in toddlers, are considered serious because stunting conditions in toddlers can cause delays in motor development and decrease intelligence levels. The type of research used in this study is an analytical observational study with a case control research design. The results of data analysis showed that there was an effect of parenting on the incidence of stunting in toddlers. The amount of risk is 5, 1 which means that families who apply good parenting to toddlers will reduce the risk of stunting. This study is in line with research conducted by Rahmayana, et al (2014) which states that there is a significant relationship between parenting patterns and the incidence of stunting. Parenting patterns of parents to children in this case is the practice of giving food is an important foundation in growth. The role of parents, especially mothers when breastfeeding their children, when giving food, how to give food to children and controlling the portion size and nutritional content in children's food will improve nutritional status so that it will reduce the incidence of stunting in children. The solution to this problem is to screen children under five to detect stunting.

Abstract

Abstract

Introduction: Several scoring systems were developed for early risk stratification in Upper Gastrointestinal Bleeding (UGIB) patients. AIMS65 score is a scoring system that only consists of five parameters, it might be used in daily clinical practice because of rapid and easy to calculate within 12 hours of admission. Objective: To evaluate the AIMS65 scoring system as a predictor of mortality, rebleeding events, need for endoscopic therapy, blood transfusion, and ICU admission for all causes of UGIB. Methods: We conducted a systematic review on PubMed, ScienceDirect, ProQuest, and Cochrane Library databases from the 2012 to 2022 publication period. We included either prospective or retrospective cohort studies that reported UGIB with all kinds of aetiologies who presented in the emergency department (ED), reported discriminative performance for each outcome, and reported the optimal cut-off of AIMS65. The primary measurement of discriminative performance for clinical outcomes includes mortality, rebleeding incidents, need for endoscopic therapy, blood transfusion, and ICU admission. Results: We identified 351 published studies, of which 20 were included in this study. Most of the studies reported discriminative performance for predicting mortality, which amounts to about 18 out of 20 studies. Rebleeding prediction was reported in 11 studies, need for endoscopic therapy in 5 studies, blood transfusion in 7 studies, and ICU admission in 2 studies. Most of the studies reported fair to excellent discriminative performance for predicting mortality, but in contrast for predicting rebleeding, the need for endoscopic therapy, blood transfusion, and ICU admission. Cut-off values≥ 2 are frequently reported to distinguish between high-risk and low-risk patients in mortality. Conclusion: AIMS65 can be applied to patients with UGIB in ED for predicting mortality, but not applicable for predicting rebleeding events, the need for endoscopic therapy, blood transfusion, and ICU admission. It enhances early decision-making and triage for UGIB patients.

Abstract

Recent years, advances in the internet and communication technology have enabled the proliferation of digital medical devices with innovations in the form of health applications, including for visual acuity examination. However, the validity of these applications remains unclear. The limited mobility and health service during the COVID-19 pandemic underscores the urgent need to conduct research that validates these electronic device-based applications. Thus, this study aims to critically analyze whether the electronic device-based application is able to provide a valid and high-quality visual acuity examination. A systematic review was conducted through studies search on PubMed, MEDLINE, Springer, and Cochrane Library using specific keywords. After the studies were selected through inclusion and exclusion criteria, extraction was carried out. Publications from 2011 to the end of 2021 were reviewed, yielding in 1409 studies, of which 19 were included. The results showed a lower systematic bias for distance visual acuity testing with electronic device-based applications compared to standard reference tests with a mean difference of -0.08 to 0.10 logMAR. The validity of the near visual acuity examination with the application shows better results than the distance examination which is marked by smaller 95% limits of agreement range. The results of the analysis of Bland-Altman plots in all the studies reviewed showed that the accuracy of the examination results tended to increase in patients who had better visual acuity. In practice, the use of electronic device-based applications for visual acuity examination can increase the work effectiveness of medical personnel and the proliferation of digital medical devices. It can also be one of the breakthroughs in the field of remote medical services and support the implementation of telemedicine policies.
