Abstract

In Indonesia, breast cancer attacks more women than men (KPKN, 2015), and around 70% of breast cancer patients come to the hospital in an advanced stage (Despitasari, 2017). The prognosis of breast cancer is closely related to the stage at which the cancer is diagnosed. An earlier diagnosis will help reduce mortality from breast cancer, therefore several screening and early diagnostic programs have been developed to detect breast cancer in the early stages (Rukmi, 2017). Breast self-examination (SADARI), clinical breast examination (CBE), and mammography are used as references for breast cancer screening (KPKN, 2015). One of the efforts that can be made in the context of early detection of breast cancer is breast self-examination (SADARI), which is an examination carried out by a person to detect breast conditions.

Abstract

Triad KRR is three basic reproductive health threats that are at risk for adolescents, namely Sexuality, HIV/AIDS and Drugs. Sexuality is everything related to human life as a sexual being, namely emotions, feelings, personality, attitudes related to sexual behavior, sexual relations and sexual orientation. Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) is a virus that weakens the human immune system and AIDS is an abbreviation of Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome, which is a collection of symptoms that arise due to a weakened immune system due to infection with the HIV virus and Napza is an abbreviation of narcotics, alcohol, psychotropics, and other addictive substances. Napza are chemical substances that enter the human body, either orally (through the mouth) inhaled (through the nose) and injected. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and communication with the prevention behavior of the KKR triad in the adolescent group at SMK N3 Bengkulu City. This research design uses an analytical observational method using a Cross Sectional research design, the sample in this study amounted to 30 people, using accidental sampling techniques and the measuring instrument used was a questionnaire. Data analysis using Chi-square (X²) with a significance level of α 0.05. The results of the univariate analysis showed that more than half of the respondents (53.3%) had good knowledge, more than half of the respondents (70%) had poor communication, and more than half of the respondents (60%) had good KRR triad prevention behavior. The results of the bivariate analysis showed a relationship between knowledge and KRR triad prevention behavior with a p value of 0.00 ≤ 0.05 and there was no relationship between communication and KRR triad prevention behavior with a p value of 0.70> 0.05. Thus, it is expected that SMK N3 Kota can provide information about reproductive health in order to prevent students from falling into the Three Basic Threats of Adolescent Reproductive Health (KRR Triad).

Abstract

Data from UNICEF (2020), explains that every year the death rate among children reaches 91,000 with the main cause being preventable infections. One of these infectious diseases is diarrhea or in the medical world it is called gastroenteritis. The aim of the research is to determine the factors associated with the incidence of diarrhea in giving MPASI to babies 6-12 months at the Sawah Lebar Community Health Center in 2024. The method used in this research uses analytical research with a cross sectional design. The population of this study included 375 babies in the working area of the Sawah Lebar Community Health Center. The sampling technique used the Accidental Sampling technique based on inclusion criteria. The sample used was 79 people. The bivariate test results show that the variable maternal knowledge with the incidence of diarrhea obtained a chi-square p-value of 0.001, the history of exclusive breastfeeding with the incidence of diarrhea obtained a chi-square p-value of 0.001, the method of giving MPASI and the incidence of diarrhea obtained a chi-square p-value. value is 0.001, so it can be concluded that there is a relationship between mother's knowledge, history of exclusive breastfeeding and how to give MPASI with the incidence of diarrhea in giving MPASI to babies 6-12 months at the Sawah Lebar Community Health Center in 2024. It is recommended that the community health center provide information about the importance of knowledge about diarrhea and providing breast milk. Exclusively, always wash your hands with soap so that your baby doesn't experience diarrhea.

Abstract

In 2017, around 150.8 million children under five (22.2%) in the world were stunted. Based on Nutrition Status Monitoring Data (PSG), over the last three years the incidence of short toddlers has the highest prevalence compared to other nutritional problems such as undernutrition and overnutrition. This is supported by data from the World Health Organization (WHO) which states that Indonesia is included in the third country with the highest stunting prevalence in the Southeast Asian region. The prevalence of stunting rates in toddlers in 2000 was 27.5%. In 2016, it increased by 29.6% (Ministry of Health, 2018).The purpose of this study is to determine the Distribution of Knowledge Frequency before and after being given complementary food demonstration activities (MP-ASI) by increasing knowledge in mothers under five as a form of stunting prevention in hamlet II, Pekik Nyaring village, Central Bengkulu. The method used in this study is through 2 activities, namely lectures and questions and answers. Results and Discussion in this KKN activity with the title "Demonstration of complementary foods for breast milk (MP-ASI) with increased knowledge in mothers under five as a form of stunting prevention in hamlet II of Pekik Nyaring village, Central Bengkulu" Based on the analysis of the results of the questionnaire that has been given to the respondents, the results of the distribution of knowledge frequency between pre test and post-test show that at the time of the pretest most of the respondents had a sufficient level of knowledge, namely as many as 12 people (80%). After the posttest, 12 of them (80%) had a good level of knowledge. Suggestion: The results of this demonstration activity are expected to provide information to further develop and add scientific insights, especially about complementary foods for breast milk (MP-ASI) as a form of stunting prevention.

Abstract

Hypertension in the elderly occurs due to the aging process in the elderly, namely physiological decline that causes the strength of the heart pumping machine to decrease and large arteries lose their flexibility and become stiff and cannot expand when the heart pumps blood through the arteries which results in increased blood pressure. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of elderly exercise on changes in blood pressure in elderly with hypertension at the Pagar Dewa Werdha Home, Bengkulu Province in 2024. The research method used was descriptive quantitative research with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used total sampling technique with a sample size of 30 people representing elderly with hypertension at the Pagar Dewa Werdha Home, Bengkulu Province. After the intervention, the average value of systolic blood pressure was 136.17 and diastolic 80.50. The results of the bivariate analysis with the Wilcoxon statistical test results obtained a systolic π-value of 0.000 and a diastolic 0.000. There is an effect of elderly exercise on blood pressure in elderly with hypertension at the Pagar Dewa Werdha Home, Bengkulu Province in 2024. Abstract

Sexual violence against children continues to be a concern in Indonesia. In 2022, there were more than 14,500 cases of sexual violence against children (KemenPPPA). That number decreased to 6,198 cases in 2023, but sexual violence remains one of the most prevalent forms of violence. As of 2024, cases of sexual violence against children, including in Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu, continue to occur. This study aims to determine the effect of sexual education on increasing knowledge of fifth and sixth-grade students at SDN 104 Rejang Lebong about sexual violence prevention. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest one-group design. 38 students were selected as samples using stratified random sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires filled out before and after the intervention, which consisted of sexual education using animated video media. The results showed that before receiving sexual education, most students had a sufficient level of knowledge (52.6%). After the intervention, there was an increase, with 60.5% of students achieving a good level of knowledge. The Wilcoxon test results showed p-value of 0.000 (p<0.05), indicating a significant effect of sexual education on improving students' knowledge about sexual violence prevention. These findings indicate that sexual education through animated video media can be an effective method for improving students' understanding. Therefore, sexual education should be integrated into the school curriculum as a preventive measure to protect children from the risk of sexual violence.
