Abstract

This research discuss about USA reason reject indonesia CPO to be in Eg list in 2012. Eg list is a list contained 54 categories of environmental goods products and will be able to minimize tariff max 5% at the end of 2015. Eg list was formed in the Vladivostok in 2012.This research is qualitative research that the data is taken from books, internet, journals and same related thesis. This research uses neo-mercantilism perspective and protectionism theory to analyze the object of research.The result of this research shows that USA motivation to block cpo from indonesia enter to eg list is to protect plant oil/vegetable oil producer intheir country because cpo is the biggest producers of plant oil today and defeat USA plant oil production. Abstract

This study discusses about the Japanese protest on Regulation of Law No.4 of 2009 on mineral and steel. the application of this law are applied on 12 January 2014 on the application of this law encountered many obstacles including protests from Indonesian mineral importing country. one that rejects namely Japan. this is because most of the japan minerals derived from the Indonesian. The results of this study are Japan protested the application of the law because it would be difficult for japan get a supply of minerals from indonesia. Abstract

This research describes the policy of the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych rejected the EU- Ukraine Association Agreement treaty at a summit of Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius, Lithuania on 29 November 2013. EU- Ukraine Association Agreement is a further form of cooperation between Ukraine with the EU which provide a variety of assistance to both sides, particularly to Ukraine in the face of crisis. In contrast, rejection and strengthening cooperation agreement with Russia that made Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych makes people do a large-scale demonstration and conditions in Ukraine is experiencing the worst crisis in the history of Ukraine. The policy of Ukraine rejected EU- Ukraine Association Agreement because of the influence of Russian power in the foreign policy of Ukraine. Russian power in the gas sector and trade makes Yanukovych change its policy direction with the European Union. Yanukovych under Russian pressure assumes that the Eurasian Customs Union is an alternative choice for Ukraine in finding a solution to the crisis. Viktor Yanukovych was eventually dismissed from the parliament Verkhovna Rada because it violated his authority and immediately turned into a suspect on one of the bloody demonstrations that occurred in Ukraine.Keywords : Foreign Policy, Crisis in Ukraine, Demonstration, European Union, Eurasian Customs Union.

Abstract

Tulisan ini menganalisa kemunculan dan dinamika perjalanan kesepakatan Growth Triangle  yang diinisiasi oleh pemerintah Singapura yang melibatkan kepulauan Riau di Indonesia dan juga Johor di Malaysia. Penjabaran difokuskan pada dinamika Growth Triangle sebagai sebuah kerjasama sub regional menurut konsep Cross Border Regios (CBRs) dan teori regionalisme baru (New Regionalism Theory). Growth tringle sendiri dalam tulisan ini diidentifikasi sebagai sebuah upaya perintisan kerjasama di wilayah ini, yang pembahasannya terbatas pada  kerjasama ekonomi antar negara dengan industrialisasi barunya di wilayah ini. Zona Indonesia Malaysia Sngapura Growth triangle (IMS-GT) ini dipilih karena posisi lintas perbatasan dan karakteristik mereka yang memiliki latar belakang kerjasama sejarah lintas batas yang panjang, memiliki komposisi multi etnis dan secara geografis berdekatan. Elemen-elemen  secara umum diidentifikasi sebagai pilar-pilar yang memfasilitasi proses yang menggiring sebuah wilayah menjadi ruang yang dinamis bagi para aktornya untuk secara aktif memainkan peran demi menjamin kepentingan-kepentingan transnasional mereka sendiri.   Kata Kunci: Growth Triangle, Kerjasama, Cross Border Regions (CBRs), Teori Regionalisme Baru.   This Paper analyse the rising and dynamics of Growth Triangle that was initiated by Singapore government which involved Kepulauan Riau in Indonesia and Johor in Malaysia. The Substantial topic focuses on the dynamics of Growth Triangle as a sub regional cooperation based on Cross Border Regions (CBRs) and New Regionalism Theory (NRT). Growth Triangle in this paper was identified as a volunteer cooperation among participant countries in this region, which its explanation was  on economic cooperation among countries within their new industrialization. Indonesia Malaysia Singapore Growth Triangle  (IMS-GT) was choosen because of their cross borders and characteristics in  having same cross border cooperations background  history, same ethnic compositions, and geograpically near by each other. Generally the elements are identified as pillars that  fasilitated the process to lead a region became a dynamic space to its actors actively play their role so that their own transnational interests are guaranted.    Keywords: Growth Triangle, Cooperation, Cross Border Regions (CBRs), New Regionalism Theory (NRT).

Abstract

This research aims to explain how the impact of the place THAAD (Terminal High Altitude Area Defense) in South Korea to the trade partnership South Korea and China at 2016-2017. THAAD (Terminal High Altitude Area Defense) placed in South Korea because South Korea terrified by the North Korea nuclear, but the placement of THAAD (Terminal High Altitude Area Defense) was opposed by China.This research uses a constructivism perspective by Alexander Wendt under of the book is Social Theory of Internastional Politics, which is then supported by nation-state analysis level. The methodology using a qualitatve method and collecting the data using a library research literature.This research shows that the impact caused by protesting China opposition for THAAD (Terminal High Altitude Area Defense) in South Korea, especially in Trade Partnership. China make a decision to boycott the products that belongs to South Korea. So in the field of export, opposition was make to the volume of export from South Korea to China continues to decrease, one of on exports of cosmetics. In the trade retail, cousing Lotte Group experienced significant losses due to a boycott from China and in a trade services, opposition to product K-Pop make the company’s stock of the entertainment industry has been decreased.Keyword: THAAD (Terminal High Altitude Area Defense), Trade Partnership, Boycott, Decrease.

Abstract

This research aims to explain the role of World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) on implementing World Conservation Strategy (WCS) in Riau in 2010-2015. WCS is a world strategy for making a sustainable-development condition,by doing both development and conservation. WCS also a cooperation program beetwen IUCN, UNEP, WWF, Fao and Unesco.Method used in this research is qualitative research. This research uses secondary data obtained from books, journal, internet, news and other media. The author apply group behavior as the research level analysis which is World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).This research analyzed its data by using Pluralism perspective and Green Politisc Theory by Eckersley. Also, writer did an interview to konservator in WWF and do an observation on field.The result of this research shows that WWF already carried out its role as practitioner of WCS by doing conservation in various places in Riau. Though WWF is not center in development program, WWF also helps rural people to make a living while still concern environmental stability.Keyword: WCS, conservation, conservator, practitioner, sustainable-development,cooperation.

Abstract

This research is a economic political study which describes the strategy India to export their pharmacy to Indonesia. This study interesting because describe about drugs from India. India is the third largest country in the production of generic drugs. India can do that after they make some revolusionery in intellectual property law India This is qualitative research which used descriptive methods, and collecting datas from some resources like books, journals, official publications and relevant websites. This paper used the mercantilism perspective and comparative advantage Theory from David Ricardo. The object in this research is India main actor in International Relations. The result of this research shows that strategy India make some revolutionary on their law about intellectual property rights. India make amendment about patent regulation. India also invite Indonesia to conference about traditional medicine. Abstract

This research aims to explain influence of implementation of the amendment of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) employment 2006 Indonesia-Malaysia on the sending of Tenaga Kerja Indonesia (TKI) to Malaysia in 2012-2014. The number of jobs which was not equivalent to the number of Indonesian population causes many TKI work abroad. Malaysia as one of the main destinations of TKI has its own problems related to cases of human rights violations which were suffered by the workers there. The moratorium issued by Indonesian government was a response to the case of human rights violations, but in December 2011, the government revoked the moratorium and carried out protocol amending the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) 2006. The sources of this research are obtained through literature review, other books, website, etc.The sources analysis is qualitative methode. This research uses a level analysis of nation state, Liberalism perspective, and also using  theory of interdepedence. The results of this research shows that the Implementation of Amendment of MoU 2006 has ratified granting of the rights of Indonesian migrant workers, reducing number of unemployed people in Indonesia with the continuing delivery of Indonesian migrant workers to Malaysia, increasing acceptance of remittances from migrant workers in Malaysia and also number of migrant workers legal in Malaysia, forming a joint task force between Indonesia and Malaysia, and  fixing law governing on protection of indonesian migrant workers. Key Words: Amendment of Memorandum of Understanding 2006, Indonesian Migrant Workers, International Coorperation, Remittance, Joint Task Force.

Abstract

This research explain about united states national interest politically and economically on keystone pipeline xl cooperation that operated by TransCanada Corporation since its project draft proposed in 2010 to 2018. However this cooperation attain its controversies during 2015 to 2017 when the US regime have changed while draft proposed was denied by president Obama administration in 2015 before paris agreement. this research uses liberalism perspective that emphasize non-state actor, domestic institution and related stakeholders can affect domestic decision and policy. The level-analysis of this research is nation-states as relatival of cooperation where individual, groups, organization and institution manner determined by its nation-states behavior. Theory of this research is Institutionalist Political Economic which related to foreign policy concept as an appliance that many state’s institution used to maximize the national interest either through economic, political and cultural by its policy that overlap to reach its destination. The result of this research is to show that United States make decision to continue the construction of keystone xl pipeline project are based on economic reason  during the project construction and to decrease US oil dependency on Middle East, Mexico and Venezuela which intend to achieve US energy security. Keywords : Economic Political Interest, Environmental Impacts, Energy Security and Oil Dependency

Abstract

This research aims to find out the effort made by ECPAT in dealing with the issues of Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) in Cambodia. As one of the countries with low economic levels in Southeast Asia. Many Children fall into CSEC and Cambodia is a sex tourism destination by foreign tourists. To address this issue, Cambodia government take actions by cooperating with ECPAT which is International Organization non-governmental whose focus is to eliminate CSEC. ECPAT has several effort made in CSEC cases. This research use a pluralism perspective which believe that states are not the only actor in international world and Role theory, The research method used in this study is a Qualitative method, the data collection technique used is the Library research technique.The result of this research is ECPAT have been doing some efforts to eliminate CSEC.
