Abstract

This research is purposed for exploring Ethnomatematics geblek renteng batik in Kulonprogo, and this type of research is a qualitative descriptive with an ethnography approach. The collected data is qualitative, as the resource is gained from the observation, interview, and documentation related to batik geblek renteng the research instrument is a private research. The technic of data collection is gained from deep interview and documentation, the aid that is used in this research is interview guidance and documentation. The validation data is done by doing qualitative descriptive analysis. The result of the research shows that the motifs on batik geblek renteng contain a mathematics concept. The identification results from geblek renteng batik as the triangle elements, parallelogram, translation, reflection, rotation, and dilatation. The math concept on batik geblek renteng in addition to the introduction of culture, it also to be expected for one of the application math learning based on the culture process.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kontribusi aspek-aspek matematika pada sumur purbakala, sejarahnya, proses berpikir matematis dalam pembuatan sumur, dan proses pembelajaran matematika di sekolah. Hasil penelitian ini disajikan dalam bentuk kualitatif untuk mendeskripsikan tentang sejarah sumur purbakala. Bentuk bangunan sumur menggambarkan sebuah bangun datar seperti segitiga, segilima, persegi panjang, jajar genjang, trapesium, lingkaran, dan bangun ruang seperti balok dan tabung, yang merupakan aspek-aspek matematika pada materi geometri. Proses pembuatan sumur yang berbentuk lingkaran dapat dilakukan dengan segi-n yang didekati oleh limit n menuju tak hingga yang dilihat dari banyaknya batu bata pada susunan pertama dan banyaknya susunan pada pembuatan sumur. Hasil penelitian ini juga berkaitan dengan proses pembelajaran matematika di sekolah, seperti materi segitiga dan segiempat di SMP serta aturan sinus dan cosinus di SMA. Diharapkan hasil penelitian ini dapat dijadikan bahan ajar pada jenjang sekolah menengah ataupun referensi untuk penelitian lain di bidang budaya dan matematika. Ethnomathematics at the sumur purbakala Kaliwadas Village of Cirebon and relationship with mathematics learning in school AbstractThe purpose of this research is to know the mathematical aspects of sumur purbakala, its history, the process of mathematical thinking in the making of well, and the process of learning mathematics in school. The results of this research are presented in qualitative form to describe the history of the sumur purbakala. The shape of the building is constructed like a triangle, a pentagon, a rectangle, a parallelogram, a trapezoid, a circle, and a space-building like beams and tubes, which are the mathematical aspects of the material geometry. The process of making a well in the form of a circle can be done with the n-segments approximated by the boundary n to the not until seen from the number of bricks in the first order and the number of arrangements on the well-making. The results of this study are also related to the process of learning mathematics in schools, such as triangle and quadrilateral materials in junior high and the rules of sinus and cosine in high school. It is expected that the results of this study can be used as teaching materials at the level of the school and references to other research in the field of culture and mathematics.

Abstract

This is an experimental research, and the research question is that will the Teams Games  Tournament  (TGT)  Cooperative  Model  in  learning  quadrilateral  at  SMP Islam Pekalongan be effective?, Field study is chosen to find out the populations of SMP  Islam Pekalongan  that consists of 8 classes, using the  random technique sampling and determined that class VII(8) as the control class and class VII(3) as the  experiment  class.  The  variables;  students’  activeness  is  as  the  independent variable  and  process  skill  is  as  the  dependent  variable.  The  data  is  derived  from the  learning  test  achievement  and  experiment  sheets.  The  research  method  is descriptive, the  analysis  of the t test  sample  and  regression. The  hypothesis  tests using  simultaneous  study  too  find  out  the  students’  achievement  in  classical  or individual,  and  the  influence  of  students’  activeness  and  the  skill  process  to  the learning  achievement.  The  results  of  the  research  are  that  the  learning  is considered  to  be  effective,  signed  by  3  indicators,  they  are;  (1)  the  students’ achievement  is  up  to  the  classical  criteria  that is  69,33  more  than  KKM  65,  and the  individual  achievement is  75%,  (2)  the  students’ activeness and  skill  process have  positive  influences  to  the  students’  achievement,  the  activeness  has  an influence to the learning achievement to 80,30%, the influence of the skill process is 69,00%, and both of them are 81,50%, (3) the experiment class’s achievement is 69,33 better than the control class in average 61,60%.Key words: Learning effectiveness, TGT, Quadrilateral

Abstract

AbstractThis research is motivated by students' learning difficulties exponent material, and lack of media in the learning process. One solution to overcome this problem is by developing a valid media and practical learning. The purpose of this research is to develop the Android application as a mathematics computer-assisted instruction Role- Playing Game (RPG) on practical and valid exponent material. The research is the R & D (Research and Development) and a method used in developing the media is a simplified method becomes ADD from ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development). Data used in this research is quantitative. The instruments used interview guides and questionnaires. Data collection technique was an interview, validation sheets, and sheets practicalities. Research results obtained instructional media on the exponent material. Based on the results of the validation performed by five expert validation, obtained by 96.83% with very valid criteria. While the results of the practicalities by nine students obtained 84.32% with very practical criteria. This shows that the media instruction as a learning medium can be used in the learning process exponent material.Keywords: Media Instruction, Android Apps, ADDIE, Exponent.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan mengukur disposisi berpikir kritis mahasiswa pendidikan matematika melalui pendekatan pembelajaran Student Centered pada mata kuliah Matematika Diskrit.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa Unswagati tingkat 2 sebanyak 2 kelas yang terdiri dari 40 mahasiswa. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi: (1) tes komunikasi matematis pada pokok bahasan Graf dan Pohon, serta (2) Skala Disposisi Berpikir Kritis dengan 5 kategori skal model Likert. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif.Hasil penelitian didapatkan: (1) Peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa secara keseluruhan cukup signifikan dengan kategori n-gain sedang. Selain itu, peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa berdasarkan Kemampuan Awal Matematis (KAM) tinggi dan sedang cukup signifikan dengan kategori n-gain sedang, sedangkan untuk kelompok mahasiswa dengan KAM rendah, peningkatan kemamuan komunikasi matematis masih tergolong rendah. (2) Secara keseluruhan disposisi berpikir kritis mahasiswa setelah mendapat pembelajaran dengan pendekatan Student Centered, tergolong baik, dengan rata-rata pencapaian skala disposisi berpikir kritis sebesar 76%. Sejalan dengan itu, pada masing-masing kelompok KAM, pencapaian skala disposisi berpikir kritis mahasiswa masih tergolong baik. Mahasiswa pada kategori KAM tinggi memperoleh pencapaian skala disposisi berpikir kritis sebesar 77%, 76 % pada mahasiswa dengan kategori KAM sedang dan 72% pada mahasiswa dengan kategori KAM rendah. Kata kunci: Komunikasi Matematis, Disposisi Berpikir Kritis dan Pembelajaran Student Centered.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran dengan model Project Based Learning yang valid, dan mengetahui hasil uji praktikalitas pada pengguna LKS. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE, namun karena rumusan serta batasan masalah maka dimodifikasi menjadi ADD yang terdiri dari tiga tahap yakni Analysis, Design, dan Development. Teknik analisis data pada uji valid dan uji praktikalitas menggunakan skala Likert. Adapun teknik pengolahan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan rumus valid dan praktis, kemudian memberikan kriteria valid serta praktis mengacu pada kriteria yang telah ditetapkan. Hasil validasi ahli dari 4 orang validator menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan RPP memperoleh rata-rata sebesar 89,6% dan LKS memperoleh rata-rata sebesar 83,4%. Sementara hasil praktikalitas pengguna LKS dari 9 orang siswa SMAN 8 Kota Cirebon dengan kemampuan rendah, sedang, dan tinggi diperoleh rata-rata kepraktisan LKS sebesar 85,4%. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat Project Based Learning yang dikembangkan berada pada kriteria sangat valid dan praktis.Kata Kunci: Perangkat, Project Based Learning, Statistika

Abstract

Almost everyone has a smartphone, including students. The potential for open application development on Android and the increasing number of people using smartphones allow them to use technology to support activities in the world of education, one of which is mobile learning. Educational games are a part of mobile learning. The purpose of the Community Service (PKM) activity is to improve students' abilities in utilizing technology through training in Android-based educational games assisted by RPG Maker. Through the making of this educational game, students can develop an interest in IT and learn mathematics. Participants in the PKM activities were students of Al-Azhar 5 Islamic High School Cirebon City who became the KIR community members. This service method consisted of three stages, namely preparation, implementation of training, and evaluation. The indicators of this activity's achievement include students being able to make maps, prologues, bring up avatars, create questions, create dialogues, battle, move one character from one map to another, and deploy games successfully controlled by participants. During the training, the participants were very enthusiastic in listening to the material and were active in making educational games.(Hampir setiap orang memiliki smartphone termasuk pelajar. Potensi pengembangan aplikasi yang terbuka pada Android dan semakin banyaknya masyarakat yang menggunakan smartphone, membuka peluang teknologi ini dapat digunakan untuk mendukung aktivitas dalam dunia pendidikan salah satunya adalah mobile learning. Game edukasi merupakan salah satu bagian dari mobile learning. Tujuan dari kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarat (PKM) adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam memanfaatkan teknologi melalui pelatihan game edukasi berbasis Android berbantuan RPG Maker. Melalui pembuatan game edukasi ini, siswa dapat mengembangkan minat di bidang IT sekaligus belajar matematika. Peserta dalam kegiatan PKM adalah siswa SMA Islam Al-Azhar 5 Kota Cirebon yang tergabung dalam komunitas KIR. Metode dalam pengabdian ini terdiri dari tiga tahap yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan pelatihan, dan evaluasi. Indikator ketercapaian kegiatan ini diantaranya siswa mampu membuat map, prolog, memunculkan avatar, membuat soal, membuat dialog, battle, memindahkan satu tokoh dari map satu ke map yang lain, serta mendeploy game berhasil dikuasai oleh peserta. Selama pelatihan berlangsung, peserta sangat antusias dalam menyimak materi dan aktif dalam pembuatan game edukasi).

Abstract

The background of this research is the importance of involving technology in the learning process. This study aims to see teachers’ interests, beliefs, and teaching processes using Adobe Premiere Pro software to categorize teachers’ professionalism. Furthermore, this study also describes the relationship between interests, beliefs, and the teaching process of teachers. This type of research is qualitative research with a case study method. 19 (nineteen) teachers from 11 (eleven) junior high schools in Padang, Indonesia were selected as research subjects. The research process has a reasonably long duration. At the beginning of the study, teachers were given the training to develop learning videos using Adobe Premiere Pro software. This software was chosen because it is challenging to use and is considered suitable as a medium for developing teacher digital literacy. The training was carried out in 5 meetings. The training is carried out by experts in their fields, from getting to know the tools to video rendering. Afterward, the teachers were given a questionnaire to determine their interest in the training. In addition, teachers are given open-ended questions to see teachers' beliefs in using technology in learning. The final stage of this research is to observe learning using observation sheets. This study found three types of teachers using technology: Technologically advanced teachers, technologically routine teachers, and technologically naive teachers. Technologically advanced teachers believe that technology plays an essential role in learning. Technologically routine teachers are teachers who sometimes use technology in the learning process, and technologically naive teachers are teachers who do not use technology in the learning process.

Abstract

Pada zaman primitif perhitungan sudah digunakan dengan cara sederhana. Penelitian ini akan memaparkan bagaimana proses berpikir cara berhitung pada zaman primitif. Selanjutnya proses berpikir yang dilakukan dieksternalisasikan dengan proses berpikir cara berhitung pada siswa zaman sekarang, dan mengetahui sejauh mana pengetahuan mahasiswa calon guru tentang bagaimana orang primitif berhitung. Jenis penelitian ini ialah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode meta analisis dan studi kasus. Meta analisis menggunakan beberapa jurnal dan buku, selanjutnya kurikulum pada sekolah di analisis dan dicari hubungannya dengan proses berpikir cara berhitung zaman primitif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara menelaah, menganalisis, dan menghubungkan proses berpikir berhitung zaman primitif dengan materi sekolah. Studi kasus didapat dari mewawancara delapan mahasiswa dari program studi pendidikan matematika 2021. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah 1) ketertarikan peneliti mengenai perhitungan primitif; 2) wawancara terbuka mengenai perhitungan primitif. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah literatur review dan analisis tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan cara-cara orang primitif berhitung dan menunjukkan manusia pada zaman primitif sudah mengenal bilangan, cara berhitungnya masih digunakan untuk pembelajaran berhitung pada saat ini serta studi kasus dengan mahasiswa calon guru menunjukkan bagaimana mahasiswa pendidikan matematika merespon tentang cara berhitung pada zaman primitive dengan kategori respon yaitu: (1) Counting Media Primitive Student yang merupakan kategori mahasiswa yang mendefinisi perhitungan di zaman primitif dengan mengaitkan dengan alat-alat yang digunakan untuk berhitung pada zaman primitif; (2) Symbol Primitif Student adalah kategori mahasiswa yang mendefinisikan perhitungan primitif dengan memperhatikan simbol pada zaman primitif.
