Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning model on the social studies learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at the UPTD of Public Elementary School 124392 Pematangsiantar. This study employed a quantitative pre-experimental design with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample size was 25 students. Data collection techniques used included pretest-posttest and documentation. Data were analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test and the t-test. The results showed that the average pretest score was 52.96, with a 12% completion rate, which then increased to 82.32, with a 100% completion rate on the posttest. The results of the normality analysis show that the pretest data has a significant value of 0.088>0.05 and the posttest value has a significant value of 0.289>0.05, so the results of the normality analysis have normally distributed data.Based on the results of the hypothesis test, the calculated t value was 12.641 and the t value was 2.064, with a significance level of 0.05. Since the probability of significance is 0.000 <0.05, or the calculated t value > t table, and the results obtained (t count = 12.641 > t table = 2.064), Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model has an effect on the social studies learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at the UPTD of SD Negeri 124392 Pematangsiantar

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Monopoly Learning Media on the learning outcomes of third-grade students at SD Negeri 091436 Tambun Raya in the topic “Energy Around Us.” The research was motivated by the low achievement in IPAS learning and the dominance of teacher-centered instruction that limited student engagement. A quantitative approach using a One Group Pretest–Posttest design was employed. The sample consisted of 20 third-grade students selected through total sampling. The instrument was a 20-item multiple-choice test that had been validated for its validity, reliability, discrimination index, and difficulty level. Data were analyzed using a paired sample t-test. The findings reveal an increase in the mean score from 56.75 (pretest) to 84.75 (posttest), with a gain of 28 points. The t-test results indicate that tcalculated > ttable, confirming that the monopoly media has a significant effect on learning outcomes. Observations also show improvements in students’ motivation, engagement, and social interaction during game-based activities. These findings demonstrate that monopoly media is effective for IPAS learning, particularly for abstract concepts. The study recommends the broader use of educational game media to enhance conceptual understanding and student participation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the process of mentoring elementary school teachers in designing in-depth learning plans through the integration of Learning Outcomes (CP) and Learning Objective Flow (ATP) and analyze its impact on improving the quality of learning plans. The background of the study is based on the finding that some teachers still experience difficulties in systematically integrating CP and ATP, resulting in lesson plans tending to be administrative in nature and less supportive of in-depth learning. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a mentoring-based service model implemented at SDN 095148 Pulo Siborna. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation studies of lesson plans before and after mentoring. The mentoring process was carried out through the stages of needs identification, strengthening conceptual understanding, design practice, and reflection and evaluation. The results showed that mentoring was able to improve teachers' understanding of the integration of CP and ATP and produce more structured, contextual, and coherent lesson plans. In addition, there was a shift in teachers' mindsets from an administrative orientation to a competency-based approach and in-depth learning. Thus, teacher mentoring is an effective strategy in supporting the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in a more meaningful and sustainable manner
