Abstract

The escalating ecological crisis demands an immediate educational response, especially for younger generations. Eco-literacy, the ability to understand ecological systems, think critically about environmental issues, and adopt responsible behaviors, needs to be cultivated early through contextual and transformative learning. This study explores the implementation of a Technology-Based Learning (TBL) model, grounded in constructivist and discovery approaches, to enhance eco-literacy among homeschooling students aged 10–13 years. Using a descriptive qualitative case study, three homeschooling students and two parents at Rumah Ulin, a family-based learning environment integrating ecological values and digital technology, participated as informants. Data were collected retrospectively through participant observation, semi-structured interviews, student reflections, and documentation of prior learning activities. Findings show significant development in four eco-literacy dimensions: ecological awareness (recognition of human–environment relationships), environmental knowledge (understanding of concepts and issues), ecological attitudes (care, responsibility, and commitment to sustainability), and ecological actions (environmentally friendly practices such as reducing plastic use and managing waste). These results demonstrate that technology-based, learner-centered strategies can foster meaningful ecological understanding in non-formal contexts. Future research with larger, more diverse participants and longitudinal designs is recommended to strengthen generalizability and assess long-term impacts.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to: (1) determine and analyze the partial influence of the level of social concern, donor trust, zakat literacy, service quality and accountability on the decision to donate at UPZ Bakti Bersama; (2) determine and analyze the moderation of religiosity in the relationship between social concern, donor trust and zakat literacy on the decision to donate at UPZ Bakti Bersama. This study uses a quantitative method. The respondents in this study were 392 people from South Kalimantan who had distributed ZIS through UPZ Bakti Bersama. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The data collection technique used a questionnaire, the results of which were processed using SmartPls 4.1. The results of this study indicate that the level of social concern has a positive and significant effect on the decision to donate. Donor trust has a positive and significant effect on the decision to donate. Zakat literacy has a positive and significant effect on the decision to donate. Service quality has a positive and significant effect on the decision to donate. Accountability has a positive and significant effect on the decision to donate. Religiosity does not moderate the influence of the level of social concern on the decision to donate. Religiosity moderates the influence of donor trust on the decision to donate. Religiosity does not moderate the influence of zakat literacy on the decision to donate

Abstract

Stems from the development of all-digital technology and the rapid development of the world of communication led to a shift in media propaganda in the community. From the creations on sosial media, it creates various perceptions for message recipients or sosial media connoisseurs. With descriptive quantitative method, this study took a sample of 40 questionnaires by random sampling. The instrument used in the form of a questioner with questions that require open and closed answers. The results obtained by all respondents had received propaganda posts in various forms and expressed benefits to a certain degree and easy to understand. As many as 21% of respondents ignored the propaganda posts. There are 59% of respondents consider direct propaganda is more effective than through sosial media.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kebutuhan akan model pembelajaran yang tidak hanya menyampaikan materi, tetapi juga mampu mengembangkan kreativitas dan kepercayaan diri peserta didik, terutama di SMPN 1 Banyuates Kabupaten Sampang yang menunjukkan masih adanya siswa pasif dan kurang percaya diri dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis efektivitas penerapan Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantukan Canva dalam meningkatkan kreativitas dan kepercayaan diri siswa kelas VIII. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design melalui pengukuran pretest-posttest pada kelas eksperimen dan kontrol menggunakan instrumen yang valid dan reliabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa PBL berbantukan Canva secara signifikan meningkatkan kreativitas dan kepercayaan diri siswa dengan selisih peningkatan yang jauh lebih tinggi pada kelas eksperimen dibandingkan kelas kontrol, serta hasil uji statistik menunjukkan nilai signifikansi < 0,05 yang berarti terdapat pengaruh yang nyata dari intervensi pembelajaran. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi PBL dan Canva mampu mendorong siswa berpikir kreatif, menuangkan ide secara visual, aktif berdiskusi, serta berani menyampaikan pendapat. Implikasi penelitian ini memperkuat konsep pembelajaran abad 21 sekaligus memberikan rekomendasi praktis bagi sekolah dan guru untuk mengintegrasikan PBL dengan media digital interaktif guna meningkatkan kualitas proses dan hasil belajar peserta didik.

Abstract

The phenomenon of rapid growth in Al-Qur'an memorization institutions raises concerns about the strength of their knowledge transmission chains as a guarantee of academic legitimacy. This study examines the sanad (knowledge transmission chain) possessed by the leadership of Pondok Pesantren Al-Qur'an Dar 'Ali Al-Banjary in Banjarmasin and explores the factors supporting its continuity. Using a qualitative approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, the research focuses on the sanad maintained by the leaders of the institution. The findings indicate that the sanad is authentically linked to the Prophet Muhammad through trusted teachers, thus considered mu'tabar (valid) within the scholarly community. Key factors supporting the sanad’s continuity include educational background, awareness of its importance, and institutional responsibility in tahfizh education. These results affirm that sanad is fundamental in preserving the authenticity and quality of Al-Qur'an memorization education. Strengthening the sanad is recommended to maintain the academic quality and legitimacy of tahfizh institutions. Fenomena pendirian lembaga tahfizh Al-Qur'an berkembang pesat, namun belum semua lembaga memiliki sanad ilmu yang kuat sebagai jaminan legitimasi keilmuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji jaringan sanad ilmu tahfizh yang dimiliki pimpinan Pondok Pesantren Al-Qur'an Dar 'Ali Al-Banjary Banjarmasin serta faktor pendukung keberlanjutan sanad tersebut. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah pimpinan pesantren, sedangkan objeknya adalah sanad ilmu tahfizh yang dimiliki. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa sanad ilmu pimpinan lembaga tersebut bersambung secara sah hingga Rasulullah SAW melalui guru-guru terpercaya, sehingga sanad tersebut dapat dinilai mu'tabar (valid). Faktor pendukung utama keberlangsungan sanad meliputi latar belakang pendidikan, kesadaran akan pentingnya sanad, dan tanggung jawab institusional dalam pengajaran tahfizh. Temuan ini menguatkan bahwa sanad ilmu adalah aspek fundamental dalam menjaga keautentikan dan kualitas pendidikan tahfizh Al-Qur'an. Rekomendasi penelitian adalah pentingnya penguatan sanad dalam pengembangan lembaga tahfizh untuk mempertahankan kualitas keilmuan dan legitimasi institusional. Abstract

Innovative and engaging instructional media are increasingly required to enhance students’ conceptual understanding and promote learner autonomy in elementary education. Within mathematics learning, game-based media such as puzzles have been suggested as effective tools to support constructivist learning processes. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of puzzle-based learning media in improving conceptual understanding and learning independence among fifth-grade students at Petapan 2 Primary School. A quantitative research design was employed using a saturation sampling technique involving 60 students from classes V-C and V-D. Data were collected through a mathematical understanding test and a learning independence questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted using IBM SPSS version 21 for Windows, including validity, reliability, normality, and homogeneity tests. Hypothesis testing was performed using an independent samples t-test. The results indicate a significant difference between the experimental group using puzzle media and the control group using conventional media. The significance values for conceptual understanding and learning independence were both 0.000 (< 0.05). These findings demonstrate that puzzle-based media significantly enhance students’ mathematical understanding and foster independent learning. Therefore, the integration of constructivist, game-based learning media is recommended to strengthen both cognitive and affective outcomes in elementary mathematics education

Abstract

Integrating digital learning media in primary education has become increasingly important to enhance student engagement and academic achievement, particularly in subjects that students often perceive as difficult, such as mathematics. Interactive technologies such as Smartboards provide dynamic visual and interactive learning environments that can potentially improve students’ interest and learning outcomes. This study aims to examine the effect of interactive Smartboard media on students’ learning interest and mathematics achievement among fourth-grade students at SDN Kebun 2 Kamal. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used was saturation sampling, involving the entire population of 50 students from classes IV-A and IV-B. The research instruments consisted of a mathematics learning achievement test and a questionnaire measuring students’ learning interest. Data were analyzed using IBM SPSS version 21, including tests of validity, homogeneity, normality, and an independent samples t-test. The findings reveal a statistically significant improvement in both students’ interest and learning outcomes after the implementation of Smartboard-based instruction, with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). The results indicate that the use of Smartboard media effectively enhances students’ engagement and academic performance in mathematics. Therefore, Smartboard technology can be recommended as an alternative instructional medium to support the achievement of learning competencies in elementary mathematics education

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of the interactive game-based platform Kahoot on student engagement and learning independence in mathematics instruction at Kebun 2 Elementary School. The study addresses two critical issues: low levels of student engagement and the limited development of independent learning strategies in mastering mathematical concepts, both of which necessitate the adoption of innovative pedagogical approaches to foster active participation. This research offers a novel contribution by exploring the application of Kahoot as an interactive instructional tool in elementary mathematics education within a local context, where such studies remain limited. A quasi-experimental design with a quantitative approach was employed, involving 50 fifth-grade students (classes V-A and V-B) selected through saturation sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire measuring student engagement and learning independence. Statistical analysis was conducted using the Independent Samples t-test with IBM SPSS version 27. The findings reveal that the post-test results for both variables yielded a p-value of 0.000, which is below the established threshold of α = 0.05, indicating a statistically significant difference between the experimental and control groups. These results demonstrate that the integration of Kahoot significantly enhances student engagement and promotes greater learning independence in mathematics. In conclusion, this study underscores the pedagogical value of interactive digital platforms as effective alternative strategies for creating more engaging learning environments and fostering student autonomy in elementary mathematics education

Abstract

This study is motivated by the still-limited conceptual understanding among researchers, particularly in the field of elementary education, regarding the proper selection of research subjects, populations, and samples, which compromises the validity and accuracy of research findings. The purpose of this study is to conduct a conceptual review of the selection of research subjects, populations, and samples in elementary education research. The method used is a literature review by examining various relevant sources, such as books and previous research findings. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis techniques to produce wellorganized and accountable conclusions. The research findings indicate that the research subject, population, and sample are fundamental, interrelated components in the research process. The research subject serves as the primary data source; the population consists of all units of analysis sharing specific characteristics; while the sample is a representative portion of the population. Errors in determining these three components can introduce research bias and reduce the validity of research results. Thus, a strong grasp of these concepts and careful selection of the research subject, population, and sample are essential to produce research that is valid, reliable, and scientifically accountable, particularly in basic education research.
