Abstract

The microteaching course is a course that is obligated to students of the Islamic Religious Education study program at Universitas Negeri Padang. This course aims to train students to master basic teaching skills while implementing them in the classroom. This research aims to analyze whether the microteaching course is effective to improve students' ability to master nine basic teaching skills before and after taking the microteaching course. This research uses quantitative methods with a correlational approach. Data sources were taken from active students of the Islamic Religious Education study program at Universitas Negeri Padang batch 2020. All research data was processed statistically using quantitative analysis software IBM SPSS Version 29 For Mac. The results of the analysis show that the microteaching course is effective in improving the ability of Islamic Religious Education students to master nine basic teaching skills before and after taking the microteaching course according to student perceptions. The results of this research can be used as initial data for future researchers in studying this problem in different contexts and issues.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) program and the formation of religious character through this program at SDN 22 Ujung Gurun, Padang City. The background is the implementation of the Independent Curriculum with one of its contents, namely P5, which aims to shape the character of students in accordance with the values of Pancasila. One of the main characters expected is a religious character. This research is qualitative research with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and distributing questionnaires. The research results show that (1) Implementation of P5 at SDN 22 Ujung Gurun is going well through various programs such as the Religious Harmony Project, Reading the Holy Bible, Religious Local Wisdom, Caring for Others, and Caring for the Environment. (2) These programs have succeeded in forming students' religious character, such as inter-religious tolerance, understanding of religious values, social concern, and responsibility for the environment. Supporting factors for success are human resources, adequate infrastructure, collaboration with parents, and support from residents throughout the school. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are teachers' accessibility and understanding of the diversity of learning styles and the lack of learning references.

Abstract

Learning practices in elementary schools have not fully enhanced students' creativity. The diverse learning needs of students pose challenges in fostering creative and critical learners. Differentiated learning strategies aim to address these needs by adjusting content, processes, and products to match students' abilities and interests. This research explores differentiated learning as an innovation in elementary schools. A qualitative multiple case study design was employed to compare variations and similarities in differentiated learning practices across five selected schools. The schools were chosen based on criteria such as student population, teacher qualifications, and certification percentages. Thirty-two certified teachers with relevant qualifications participated as respondents. Data were analyzed using Nvivo 12 software through coding, categorization, matrix coding, and project mapping. The findings reveal that combined differentiated learning strategies effectively meet students' needs, talents, and interests. These strategies involve integrating varied learning resources and digital media within interactive learning communities. This study provides practical strategies for elementary teachers to enhance student creativity through diverse media and suitable learning environments. The findings support previous research on differentiated learning's role in developing creative, critical, and enthusiastic learners.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the management of PAI learning conditions which are still monotonous, the lack of variation in the learning process makes learning uninteresting so that impact on low student learning outcomes. Therefore, this study to determine the effect of using the Team Games Tournament (TGT) Model on learning outcomes in the Cultural History material. The research from this study uses a quasi-experimental method with a quantitative approach to test the effect of using the Team Games Tournament (TGT) Model on student learning outcomes. The sample of this study consisted of 60 people taken by purposive sampling from the existing population, namely class X as many as 396 students. The instrument used was a Learning Outcome Test. The data analysis technique used the Normality, Homogeneity, Simple Linear Regression and Hypothesis tests analyzed using SPSS software version 29. The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of using the Team Games Tournament (TGT) model on learning outcomes in the Cultural History material. The influence test using the Independent sample t-test obtained a significance of 0.001, which is less than the significance level of 0.05, so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. The conclusion is that the Team Games Tournament (TGT) Model has an effect on improving students' learning outcomes in the material of Islamic Cultural History.

Abstract

The existence of the Majelis Taklim as a non-formal religious education institution is still not functioning well. However, the Majelis Taklim of the Rahmatan Lil Alamin Mosque has attempted to teach religion more comprehensively by making the mosque the basis for all community activities. This can support the spirit of the Smart Surau program launched by the Padang City Government. This article describes how the Majelis Taklim activities of the Rahmatan Lil Alamin Mosque and how it is likely to succeed the Smart Surau program in realizing the vision of Padang CityThe method used is qualitative with a case study and sustainability analysis to be able to support the Smart Surau program. Informants consisted of the head of the Majelis Taklim, mosque administrators and the head of the neighborhood association (RT). Through in-depth interviews, participatory observation and documentation, data were collected then analyzed using an interactive model Technical triangulation was used to validate the data. The results showed that the activities of the majelis taklim included routine monthly study sessions, blessed Fridays, blessing clean-up sessions, Qur'an recitation, dawn warriors, Umrah savings, a thousand-a-day dawn alms, assistance to orphans and the poor, a marketing cooperative, Islamic holiday takmirs and a Blessed Kitchen outlet. These activities restored the spirit of the Surau Saisuak. In the future, the majelis taklim can support the smart surau program for the sustainability of comprehensive dawn in the context of Islamic religious education for the community.

Abstract

Pada abad 21 ini, proses pembelajaran diharapkan mengembangkan empat kemampuan yaitu 4C (Critical thinking,Communication, Collaboration, Creativity). Pembelajaran abad 21 ini sudah diadaptasi dalam sistem pendidikan di Indonesia melalui Kurikulum 2013 dan disempurnakan dalam kurikulum merdeka. Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka (IKM) menekankan pada pembelajaran yang nyaman, mandiri, aktif, memiliki karakter, bermakna, merdeka dan lain-lain. Guru memiliki kebebasan dalam menentukan perangkat ajar yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan dan minat belajar peserta didik. Fenomena yang muncul kurikulum merdeka belum dapat terimplementasikan oleh guru-guru PAI SD. Guru-guru PAI di KKG Lubung Kilangan masih mengalami kesusahan dalam memahami Materi Esensial dan Pembelajaran bermakna serta pelaksanaan proyek profil Pancasila. Pada mitra pengabdian ini ditemui permasalahan utama yang relevan dengan penjelasan diatas. Dua permasalahan utama mitra pengabdian ini adalah sebagai berikut: pertama, bagaimana Implementasi kurikulum merdeka dalam bentuk model pembelajaran berdiferensiasi dan materi esensial. Kedua, bagaimana Implementasi proyek profil Pancasila dalam pembelajaran PAI. Dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan mitra tersebut, pengabdi menawarkan solusi dengan mengadakan Bimbingan Teknis Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka dalam Pembelajaran PAI SD di KKG PAI Kecamatan Lubuk Kilangan Kota Padang. Pembinaan diadakan dengan beberapa tahapan; Pertama, tahapan ekspektasi. Kedua, tahapan Internalisasi. Ketiga, tahapan Aktualisasi. Keempat, tahapan evaluasi dan keberlanjutan. Bimbingan teknis menggunakan metode Presentasi, Brainstroming, Diskusi, Workshop, Praktek dan Projek e-modul secara mandiri.

Abstract

Learning styles play a crucial role in influencing students' ability to comprehend, analyze, and solve learning-related problems. A mismatch between teaching approaches and students' learning styles often stemming from educators’ limited understanding in identifying learning preferences can hinder the effectiveness of instruction. This study aims to identify students’ dominant learning styles and analyze their implications for Islamic Religious Education (Pendidikan Agama Islam, PAI), which includes the components of Al-Qur’an Hadis, Fikih, Akidah, Akhlak, and Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam (SKI). The study employed a descriptive quantitative method involving 76 students as the sample. Data were collected using a validated and reliable learning style questionnaire and analyzed through descriptive statistics. The findings reveal that the visual learning style is the most dominant (36.3%), followed by auditory (33.3%) and kinesthetic (30.4%). These results offer valuable insights for developing PAI teaching strategies that are responsive to students’ learning styles. The findings underscore the importance of differentiated instructional approaches across all PAI components to foster a more effective, inclusive, and meaningful learning experience.

Abstract

Guru ialah tokoh berperan penting dalam proses pembelajaran karena guru yang akan berinteraksi langsung dengan peserta didik. Adapun yang menjadi inti dari interaksi antara guru dengan siswa adalah proses pembelajaran, untuk menyelenggarakan suatu proses pembelajaran seorang guru perlu mengadakan perencanaan pembelajaran. Perencanaan pembelajaran diistilahkan menjadi modul ajar, setelah sebelumnya disebut dengan rancangan pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP). Hal ini dikarenakan adanya pergantian kurikulum 2013 menjadi Kurikulum Merdeka. Namun pada kenyataannya masih ditemukan beberapa guru yang mengalami kebingungan dan kurang memahami dalam menyusun perencanaan pembelajaran. Sehingga guru dinilai belum siap dalam merencanakan pembelajaran berdasarkan kurikulum merdeka. Tujuan penelitian ini adaah untuk mendekripsikan kesiapan guru PAI dalam merencanakan pembelajaran berdasarkan kurikulum merdeka di SD N 19 Air Tawar Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui wawancara kepada guru PAI dan guru wali kelas IV, observasi saat pembelajaran PAI serta didukung dengan dokumentasi. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan purposive sampling. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan cara pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Teknik keabsahan data dilakukan dengan triangulasi teknik dan sumber. Hasil Temuan dalam penelitian ini guru PAI sudah siap dalam merencanakan pembelajaran berdasarkan Kurikulum Merdeka di SD Negeri 19 Air Tawar Barat yaitu perencanaan pembelajaran sudah disusun sesuai dengan konsep kurikulum merdeka yakni berbentuk modul ajar. Adapun modul ajar yang dirancang oleh guru PAI telah sesuai dengan komponen modul ajar yang ada yaitu, a) analisis kompetensi awal siswa dengan melakukan asesmen diagnostik, b) analisis capaian pembelajaran, c) merancang alur tujuan pembelajaran, d) merancang tujuan pembelajaran, e) analisis profil pelajar pancasila, f) analisis sarana dan prasarana/alat dan bahan, g) analisis model pembelajaran, h) analisis pertanyaan pemantik, i) kegiatan pembelajaran yang akan dilaksanakan, j) asesmen, k) remedial dan pengayaan.

Abstract

This research is attracted by issues where there are various views on the broad meaning of jihad in a multicultural society and the emergence of extremist groups in interpreting and actualizing jihad as a result of these different views. The study aims to analyze the meaning actualization of jihad and in the life of the state according to STAI As-Sunnah Deli Serdang students, North Sumatra. This research is qualitative with a case study approach. Conducted at As-Sunnah Islamic High School Deli Serdang, North Sumatra. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. While data analysis is done through data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions, and verification. The results of the research show that regarding the law of jihad, students agree that the law of jihad is fardhu kifayah, namely an obligation that if a group of Muslims has carried it out, then the obligations of other Muslims fall. Even so, under certain conditions, the law of jihad can become fardhu 'ain, which is an obligation for every individual Muslim. These conditions are when the enemy has attacked when meeting the enemy, and when ordered by the legitimate leadership of the State. Student jihad in the life of the state can be carried out in all areas of life, for example, ideology, politics, economy, socio-culture, and defense and security.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited research on the development of prosocial behavior through extracurricular activities, despite its vital role in shaping the character and personality of elementary school students. The aim of this research is to describe the implementation of the scouting program, assess the prosocial abilities of fifth-grade students, and explore the contribution of scouting activities in supporting prosocial development from the perspective of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SDN 42 Korong Gadang. A qualitative case study approach was used, involving seven participants selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, and analyzed using an interactive analysis technique, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that the scouting program is implemented in a structured manner through routine and special activities such as Perjusami (weekend camp), and effectively fosters students' prosocial attitudes reflected in enhanced empathy, responsibility, cooperation, and social awareness. These findings reinforce the relevance of social learning theory and emphasize the importance of integrating religious values in character education. The study concludes that scouting activities serve as an effective medium for developing prosocial behavior through a combination of scouting training and the internalization of Islamic values. The implications include strengthening the theoretical foundation of religious-based character education and offering practical recommendations for schools and scout leaders to design more meaningful and transformative scouting programs.
