Abstract

AbstractThe research was classroom action research. This research aims to improve learning process and outcomes students by implementing cooperative learning type Two Stay Two Stray. The subject of the research is students of class VIIIG of SMPN18 Pekanbaru in the first semester academic years 2012/2013. There are 40 students in the class, consisting 17 girls and 23 boys. The research are two cycles. Each cycle has four stages, the stages are planning, action, observation and reflection. The results showed the activity of teachers and students have done well after doing the action. An increase in the number of students who achieved at UH KKM end of each cycle compared to the number of students who achieve KKM on base score, increasing the number of students who scored 20 and 30 compared to the development of the number of students who received grades 5 and 10 as well as the increase in the average value of students from the first cycle to the second cycle. From the results of this study concluded that Cooperative Learning Type of Two Stay Two Stray can improve the students’ learning achievement at class VIIIG of SMPN18 Pekanbaru in the first semester academic years 2013/2014.Key Word : Mathematics Learning Outcome, CooperativeLearning Type Two Stay Two Stray, Class Action Research.

Abstract

Abstract This research aimed to improve learning process and mathematics learning outcomes in SMP Negeri 17 Pekanbaru by implementing Structural Approach to Cooperative Learning Model Numbered Heads Together (NHT). Subjects of the research were students grade VIII5 who have the academic ability of the heterogeneous. This research is a classroom action research with two cycles. Each cycle has four stages, the stages are planning, action, observation and reflection. The results show the activity of teachers and students have done well after doing the action. There was enchanment in the number of students who achieved KKM (minimum criteria of achievement) in formative test at the end of each cycle is compared to the number of students who achieve KKM on base score. Starting from 22,5% increased to 35% and increased to 62,5%. There was also an increasing in the number of students who scored 20 and 30 is compared to the development of the number of students who received grades 5 and 10. Results of this research indicate that the application of Structural Approach to Cooperative Learning Model Numbered Heads Together (NHT) can improve learning process and improve the mathematics learning outcomes of students grade VIII5 SMP Negeri 17 Pekanbaru in the first semester academic year 2013/2014. Key words: Mathematics learning outcome, Cooperative learning, Numbered Heads , Class action research

Abstract

Abstrack : The background of this research is the limited of learning device as a means of supporting learning referring to 2013 curriculum. This research aims to develop syllabus, Learning Implementation Plan (LIP) and Student Learning Worksheet (SLW) with experiential learning model on the subject of cubes and beams for 8th grade students of junior high school. The research used Research and Develomant (R&D) with the ADDIE procedure; analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Due to time constraints, this research is only done until the development stage. The research instrument used are sheet of learning device validation, questionnaire response of learnears and evaluation of learning outcomes. Syllabus, RPP and LKPD validated 2 times by 3 validators and revised according to the suggestion from the validator. The valid LKPD was then limited tested with the subject of nine students of 8th grade in SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru, Riau. Based on the analysis result of the validation data, it can be concluded that syllabus and RPP are considered very valid and LKPD is valid with average rating for syllabus is 3,44, RPP is 3,34 and LKPD is 3,13. In the second validation it can be concluded that the syllabus, RPP and LKPD are considered very valid with the average rating for the syllabus is 3.75, for the RPP is 3.65 and for LKPD is 3.47. Based on the analysis results of the questionnaire response of learners to LKPD in the limited trial is 95.5% with very practical category and the average of the result of student’s evaluation is 84.8. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion concluded that the syllabus, RPP and LKPD with experential learning model on the subject of cubes and beams for 8th grade students of Junior High School have fulfilled the validity and practical requirements to used by 8th grade students of Junior High School.Key Words : Experiential Learning Model, Learning Device, Cubes and Beams, Validity andPracticality

Abstract

Abstract : The research background is the importance of mathematics learning instruments as mathematics lesson plans which is arranged by the teacher as a professional worker in order to achieve mathematics learning goals. The available of mathematics learning instruments is limited, and does not refer to 2013’s Curriculum yet. This research is aimed to develop the mathematics learning instruments: syllabus, lesson plans, and student worksheets using the discovery learning model on ratio subject for 7th grade students of SMP/MTs that is categorized as valid and the student worksheets is categorized as practical. This research used ADDIE model The research instruments that used in this research were learning instruments validation sheets and student response questionnaires. The learning instruments are validated by three validators and revised according to the validator’s suggestions, and then tested on thirty two students of Class VII4 of SMP Negeri 8 Pekanbaru for large trials . According to the result of validation data analysis of syllabus, lesson plans, and student worksheets, syllabus and lesson plans were categorized as very valid with the average score for syllabus was 3.69 and 3,46, and student worksheets was were categorized as valid with the average score 3.24. According to the result of student response questionnaires toward the student worksheets practicality, it were categorized as practical with a percentage of 82,26%. According to the result of data analysis and the discussion, it can be concluded that the syllabus, lesson plans using the discovery learning model on ratio subject were very valid, and student worksheets were valid, practical and feasible to be used by 7th grade students of SMP/MTs.Key Words: Discovery Learning Model, Mathematics Learning Instruments, Ratio

Abstract

Abstrack: This study aims to produce mathematic learning device in the form of syllabus, lesson plan, and student worksheet based curriculum 2013 with Creative Problem Solving model on social arithmetic for junior high school. The study model used is ADDIE that consist of analyze, design, develop, implementation, and evaluation. Development process is done until the develop stage. The research instrument used is validity instrument and practicality instrument. Practicality instrument could not be implemented because of the school was closed. The validity instrument is a validation sheet to assess the feasibility of syllabus, lesson plans and student worksheet. Learning device developed are validated by three validators. Based on the data analysis, it can be conclude that the average value for syllabus is 87,40% in very valid category which means that syllabus is feasible to be used; as well as the average value for lesson plan and student worksheet are 83,33% and 81.31%. That are in valid category which means that lesson plan and student worksheet are feasible to be tested with improvement as the suggestion of the validators. Syllabus, lesson plan, and student worksheet are feasible to be used in the school after improvement as the suggestion of the validators.Key Words: Creative Problem Solving Learning Model, Learning Device, Social Arithmetic, and Validity.

Abstract

Abstract: This research was conducted due to limited mathematics learning devices that use learning approaches and models that can support learning in the 2013 curriculum. This research aims to produce mathematic learning instruments like syllabus, lesson plan (LP), and student worksheet (SW) in the material Linear Equation System of Three Variables in class X which applies valid and practical Problem Based Learning models. The development model used is 4-D model that consist of define, design, development and disseminate, but disseminate didn’t do because this purpose of study just produce devices which valid and practicality and got it on development step. The research instruments used were learning device validation sheets, teacher response questionnaires and student response questionnaires. Devices compiled was validated by three validators and revised based on the suggestions of validators. Based on the result of data analysis shows average score for syllabus are 3,71, LP are 3.83, and SW are 3.68 from the 4,00 scale, so the resulting devices is categorized as very valid. Device was valeted then tested a large group with subjects 33 students of class X Accounting-1 state vocational high school Labor Pekanbaru using LP and SW. The results of data analysis on practicality of learning devices by the teacher and the practicality of SW by students is 94.22% which is categorized as very practical. Key Words: Learning Devices, Problem Based Learning, Validity and Practicality

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this research is students low in mathematical of grade at SMP Negeri 1 Dumai. The aims of research is to improve learning process and to increase student mathematics achievement with applying the learning model of Problem Based Learning. This research is classroom action research. The subject of this research is student of class VIII2 SMP Negeri 1 Dumai in academic years 2018/2019, which amounted to 32 students, consist of 15 boys and 17 girls. The research consist of two cycles, each cycle have four stages, which are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The instruments of data collection in this research is observation sheets that consisting of the identity of the observation sheet, filling instruction, indicators that refer to PBL steps, descriptors and observations and students mathematic tests. The observation sheets is analyzed in qualitative desciptive, while the students mathematic tests is analyzed in quantitative descriptive. The qualitative descriptive show an improvement of learning process prior to the action on the first and second cycle. Most of students are very confidence and active in learning process, such as while they are finishing mathemathic’s problems that given, presenting the result of problems and giving the conclusion of learning. The results of this study indicate the number of students who reached Minimum Mastery Criteria of knowledge increase from basic score to quiz-I and quiz-II. The results of this research showed an increasing number of students learning mathematics about knowledge of the basic score (31,25%) to the first quiz (43,75%) to the second quiz (62,5%). For the skills of basic score (37,5%) to the first quiz (46,88%) to the second quiz (81,25%). From these data it can be concluded that the application of Problem Based Learning can improve learning process and increase mathematics achievement from the students at class VIII2 SMP Negeri 1 Dumai in academic years 2018/2019 for the subject relation and fungtion.Key Words: Students’ Mathematic Achievement, Problem Based Learning, Class Action Research

Abstract

Abstract: This research was based on the mathematics learning outcomes of students at class III SDN 25 Bagan Melibur. There were only 13 of 24 students (54,17%) who achieve the Mastery Minimum Criteria on topic about using the measuring tool in problem solving and the learning process is still teacher centered. This research is action research which aims to increase the mathematics learning outcomes of students at class III SDN 25 Bagan Melibur through the implentation of cooperative learning in type student team achievement division (STAD). The subject is 24 students at class III SDN 25 Bagan Melibur which consist of 10 boys and 14 girls with the heterogenous ability level. The instruments of data collection were observation sheets and test of mathematic learning outcomes. The observation sheets were analyzed in qualitative desciptive, while the test of mathematic learning outcomes was analyzed in quantitative descriptive. The qualitative descriptive showed that there is an improvement of the previous learning process to the first and second cycle. The result showed an increasing number of students who achieve the Mastery Minimum Criteria from the basic score with the percentage 54,17% to 75% on the first daily test and 83,33% on the second daily test. Based on that result, it can be concluded that the implentation of Cooperative Learning in type student team achievement division (STAD) can improve the mathematics learning outcomes of students at class III SDN 25 Bagan Melibur on second semester academic year 2014/2015. Abstract

The research consist of two cycles, each cycle has four stages, which are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The instruments of data collection in this research were observation sheets and students Mathematic tests. The observation sheets were analyzed in qualitative descriptive, while the students mathematic tests were analyzed in statistic quantitative descriptive. The qualitative descriptive showed an improvement of learning process from before the action to the first and second cycle. Most of students were very confidenced and actived in learning process, such as while they were finished mathemathic’s problems that given, presenting the result of problems and giving the conclusion of learning.The results of this research showed the number of students that reach Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM) for knowledge increase from the basic score (38,89%) to (55,56%) at the first test and to (72,20%) at the second test. For the skills, the score increase from (55,56%) at the first test, to (69,44%) at the second test. The results of this research showed that appication of the learning model of Problem Based Learning can improve learning process and increase mathematics outcomes for students in VII3 class of SMP Negeri 8 Pekanbaruin academic years 2017/2018 for the subject matter Algebra Operations and Functions.Keywords : Mathematics Outcomes, Problem Based Learning
