Abstract

Motivation , discipline , and work facilities is a supporting factor for achieving high performance in order to achieve optimal business profits . If the motivation , discipline, and work facilities of business is good, the high employee performance will be achieved, and the otherwise. Related to these three variables employee of Bumiputera 1912allegedly less motivated at work, lack of discipline, and didn’t get enough working facilities. For that this riset it was shown to determine how much influence the motivation, discipline, and facilities to employee performance ofBumiputera 1912 Semarang. The type of research that used areexplanatory research, with a population at all of permanent employees who work atBumiputera 1912semarangtotaly 70 people. The sampling technique census of this study, using quantitative analysis techniques analysis that techniques used is validity test, reliability test, simple linear regression , multiple linear regression , T test and F test with SPSS 15.0 tools . From the analysis of the data showing that 16.6%of motivationvariable have a significant influence on the performance variables. Discipline variables also have a significantinfluence on the 33.0 % performance variable and variable facility also has a significant influence on the 52.9 % performance variable. And the results of the study that variable influence motivation, discipline and facilities on the performance at 60.1 %, while remaining 39.9 % is explained by other non observedvariable . Advice that can given in this research is, increase work motivation by rewarding employees for their hard work for theadvancing of this company, honored in the work environment and the ability to work to get recognition from superiors and co-workers, and improve worker discipline according to standard company. completed work orders from each of supervisor so that employee more disciplined in terms of work and provide working facilities to thecompany so employees fully at work and provide facilities a large parking area , sothe employee will be easier to working if the working facility complete and decent according to the standard corporate

Abstract

PT. Euro Management Indonesia have some low level performance of employees such as not good in giving directives or guidance or work orders, some work space is not adequate, and the achievement of quality and quantity targets that have not maximized. It is allegedly due to the existence of interpersonal communication and work environment employees are still considered not good. The aims of this study to determine how the influence that given by interpersonal communication and work environment to the performance of employees of PT. Euro Management Indonesia. Type of this research is explanatory research, with 50 respondents of samples. Used questionnaire as data collecting with Likert measurement scale. In the data analysis method used is test of validity and reliability, correlation coefficient (R), regression test, coefficient of determination (R2), significance of t test and F test by using SPSS 20.0. The results of this research shows that interpersonal communication and work environment severally has significant, strong and positive influence toward employee performance. Two variables has been tested gradually or even together show that interpersonal communication (0,682) and work environment (0,678) simultaneously have strong relation with employee performance. The amount of contribution value (R2) by interpersonal communication is greater than work environment, coefficient of determination value (R2) for interpersonal communication is 46,5% and work environment is 46%.

Abstract

Rapid economy growth encourages natural resources consumption and exploitation causing environmental degradation excessively. Environmental degradation is driven by consumption habits of private household leads to the environmental deterioration such global warming, ozone depletion, and even threats to human’s health. Expanding more sustainable consumption and production doesn’t only depend on environmental technologies innovation and social changes, but also changes of consumption patterns and behavior of consumers. The aim of this study is showing the influence factors of green consumption behaviors. Besides, it describes consumption behaviors done by consumers hence it becomes market segmentation. As an effort to respond on the research problems and goals, the research used a study case method and data collection from in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation of the civitas academica of Universitas Diponegoro Semarang. The findings showed formal education is the most influenced demographic factor. Lifestyle, values, and benefits of the green product are the most influenced psychographic factors of the consumer. The environmental attitude is affected by environmental awareness, promotion of the firms, media, word of mouth communication, and also reference group. The green consumption behaviors involved efficiency of energy using, reducing plastics, and purchasing green products. The findings suggested business institution to make green product innovation and to increase consumer environmental knowledge by using education, media, advertisement, WOM communication, and reference group.

Abstract

Economic development requires companies to work better and be able to survive from intense competition. In a modern era, telecommunications and property industries are the most developed industry. There are several strategies to maintain the business continuity, one of which is the incorporation of a business entity such as an acquisition. The purpose of this research is to find differentiation among stock price, stock trading volume and stock return before and after acquisition on the telecommunications and property industries. In the telecommunications industry, there is the acquisition of PT. XL Axiata Tbk with Axis Telekom Indonesia, while the acquisition in the property industry is between PT. Agung Podomoro Land Tbk and PT. Graha Cipta Karisma. The observed research period is one year before and after the acquisition information. This study has found that there is a significant difference in the stock price before and after acquisition information of PT. XL Axiata Tbk and PT. Agung Podomoro Land Tbk, but there is no significant difference in trading volume and stock return (indicated by the abnormal return to test the information content of an event) before and after acquisition information of PT. XL Axiata Tbk and PT. Agung Podomoro Land Tbk. Hence, the investor has the assumption that the acquisition is a normal activity which has no significant influence the stock volume and returns.

Abstract

Exhaust system is one of part in motor vehicles that most widely changed from the standard model. One of the reason why vehicle owners change their standard exhaust system to a racing or aftermarket model is because of the looks of racing exhaust is more attractive and cooler. Another reason is the performance of the vehicle is increasingly changed with aftermarket exhaust system. Purbalingga regency is the biggest exhaust producer that widely known with their fake exhaust products. A sales data of 2016 shows that fake exhaust selling is higher than original lables with the quality that tends to be similar. This research is aimed to know the relations between brand image and product quality to consumer's decision in buying Purbalingga exhaust system. The type of research that is used is explanatory research and the sampling technique is nonprobability sampling technique with purposive sampling method. The data collection uses interview questionnaires and the samples are 100 respondents of Purbalingga exhaust system consumer. The result of this study shows that the relation of brand image and product quality variables have a strong and positive influence to consumer decisions, whether it is a original lable or fake lable exhaust system.

Abstract

In maintaining the continuity of business, there are several strategies that can be undertaken by company, one of which is the incorporation of a business entity such as an acquisition.                The purpose of this research is to find differentiation among stock price, stock trading volume and stock return before and after acquisition on the telecommunication and property industry, acquisition of PT. XL Axiata Tbk. with Axis Telekom Indonesia and acquisition between PT. Agung Podomoro Land Tbk. and PT. Graha Cipta Karisma.                The results show a significant difference to stock price before and after acquisition information of PT. XL Axiata Tbk. and PT. Agung Podomoro Land Tbk., but no significant difference on trading volume and stock return (indicated by abnormal return to see information content from that event). Based on these results it can be concluded that investor opinion on the acquisition information is normal so the trading volume and stock return are not change significantly. The significant difference of stock price may be due to investors's views about the acquisition and its accordance with the theory saying that acquisition can improve companies performance.

Abstract

The success of the organization in achieving the objectives that have been determined is determined by the success of the employees in carrying out its duties. These employees are ultimately the executor of activities within the organization and have an important role in efforts to achieve the goals of the organization. It is unfortunate when in reality the utilization of employees as human resources has not been optimal.The purpose of this research is to know the effect of organizational support and interpersonal communication to affective commitment through job satisfaction as intervening variable. Type of research used in this research is a type of research eksplanatory research. This research is aimed to find out the magnitude of relationship and influence between research variables. In this study the population is the employee of packaging PT. Sido Muncul Semarang. So it can be concluded that the sample to be taken at least 80 people with the reasons of time limitations, for that number of research samples to be researched as many as 100 people because it already meets the minimum sample amount of 80 people. In this research the sampling technique used is non probability sampling. This sampling technique is a sampling technique in a particular consideration to determine which population members will be selected as samples and data collected through questionnaires.The analysis used in this research is inferential analysis (test of validity and reliability test), coefficient of determination, cross table analysis, simple linear regression analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, t test, f test, and path analysis. The results of this research instrument testing using computer programming tool SPSS (Statistical Program for Social Science) For Windows version 19.The conclusion in this research is organizational support has an affect on to Job Satisfaction at packaging department employees PT. Sido Muncul Semarang. Interpersonal Communication affects Job Satisfaction at packaging department employees PT. Sido Muncul Semarang. Organizational Support has an affect on to Affective Commitment at packaging department employees PT. Sido Muncul Semarang. Interpersonal Communication affect on to Affective Commitment at packaging department employees PT. Sido Muncul Semarang. Job Satisfaction affect on to Affective Commitment at packaging department employees PT. Sido Mucul Semarang.Suggestions can be submitted for PT. Sido Muncul Semarang is to be more appreciate its employees especially on the packaging by giving rewards and punishment. Employees in achieving job targets should be maintained and improved performance and job satisfaction in order to arise the spirit and motivation of employees to be able to build the company better.

Abstract

Garuda Indonesia is Indonesian government-owned airlines that always provide the best quality services to its passengers, starting from purchase the ticket until post-flight. Garuda Indonesia proves their service quality of being recognized in international standard by joining the Sky Team alliance and awarded for top brand index every year. Although always placed in the first rank in 2012 until 2014 but the index percentage continues to decline. Garuda Indonesia’s Touch Points service also becomes a measurement regarding level of image and perceived quality towards the company.The purpose of this research is to examine the influence of brand awareness, brand image and perceived quality on customer buying decision in Garuda Indonesia Airlines. The type of this research is explanative research. The method of collecting data using interviews, literature study and questionnaire. The technique of sampling using purposive sampling. The sample in this research were 100 respondents who are the customers in Garuda Indonesia Branch Office Semarang. Measurement scale using Likert Scale. Quantitative analysis uses validity test, reliability test, correlation coefficient, simple and multiple regression analysis, the coefficient of determination, and a significant test (t and F) using SPSS 15.0.Based on the data analysis found in partial, the variable of brand awareness  has contribution influence on buying decisions of 21,1%, the variable of brand image has contribution influence on buying decisions of 51,4%, and the variable of perceived quality has contribution influence on buying decisions of 58,4%. Simultaneously the variable of brand awareness, brand image and perceived quality has contribution influence on buying decisions of 64,6%.Based on the research results, the researcher suggests that the company should improve the delivery of the information regarding promotion in media communication, paying attention to every service at customer’s touch points in order for customer to be able to utilize the service and facilities that offered as well as avoid delays flight hours especially for domestic routes

Abstract

Capital market activity as one of the potential of the national economy increasingly puts its rolein developing the national economy. Several methods are used by IPOs for shares that investors maintaintheir stocks and shares glance that they can remain competitive in the world capital markets, one ofwhich is to implement a stock split.This study aimed to analyze the effect of the stock split on stock pricesand trading volumes. This type of research is a study that is included in the category event study or thestudy of events. Type of sampling using purposive sampling method. The sample in this study were 42companies that conduct a stock split in the period 2010-2015.The results of this study indicate that thereare significant differences between the stock price and trading volume before and after the stock split.Stock split is still a policy that affect stock prices and trading volumes. Results were obtained byanalyzing secondary data using the data normality test, different test, and Wilcoxon signed ranktest.Based on this, the researchers suggest though stock split is still a significant effect, but the stock splitdid not ensure that the market will react as expected the company, as a result of this study showed thatthe activity of the stock split does not guarantee that the average stock trading volume will increaseaccordingly with purpose. Therefore, issuers are advised paying attention to other factors in decidingpolicies stock split.

Abstract

PT. KAI Daop 5 Purwokerto is one of the operational areas of PT. KAI (Persero). In 2018 it was found that there were performance problems of PT. KAI Daop 5 Purwokerto is seen from the assessment of declining performance and the level of job satisfaction which has declined in recent years. This can be indicated by the decline in participants in training and the increasing number of accidents in 2018. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of training and organizational culture to employee performance through job satisfaction. The type of this research is explanatory research, with 110 respondents of samples. Used questionnaire as data collecting with Likert scale. In the data analysis method used is test of validity and reliability, correlation coefficient (R), simple and multiple linear regression test, coefficient of determination (R2), significance of t test and F test, sobel test by using SPSS 21.0 for Windows.
