Abstract

Testing laboratory public services play an important role in providing services to the public in various sectors. Currently, many laboratories only focus on the quality of testing but forget about the timeliness of testing services which affects customer satisfaction as a metric of public service performanceTherefore, to improve quality by achieving timeliness of testing services, this research uses a Lean and Six Sigma approach and risk management. Through the tools used such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Spaghetti Diagram, Fish-bone Diagram, PICK Chart in the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control (DMAIC) phase of Lean Six Sigma, problems can be identified, analyzed and corrected for improvement. In the measure phase, the completion time for testing services was 17 working days so it did not meet the service time standard (timeliness) which is 16 working days. After the improve phase solution is implemented, the service turnaround time becomes 7 working days. Apart from achieving faster completion times for testing services, the improvement rate for eliminating NVAA was 99.5%, eliminating waiting and over-processing waste by 100%. In order for this achievement to remain controlled, risk statements regarding the timeliness of testing services are identified, analyzed, controlled and monitored. The results of improvement trials on samples, SPM testing services for Pb, Cd, Hg, As metal contamination in food reached 100%.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Welding is one of several jobs that contributes to work-related accidents and illnesses. The process carried out in this work is the process of making metal structures by cutting, bending and joining, as well as polishing, painting or coating metal pieces which is also in line with other processes. Various risks of work accidents during welding can be caused by unsafe acts and these unsafe acts can be influenced by several factors. This research aims to determine the faktors related to unsafe actions. The method used in this research is a literature review which uses 10 reference journals originating from Google Scholar, Research Gate, Springer and other journal publications with a range of publication years in the last 10 years, namely from 2014 to 2024. The results of this research show that the Factors that influence unsafe actions among welding workers are attitude, knowledge, character and availability of PPE. it can be concluded that there are many factors that influence unsafe actions among welding workers. Therefore, it is recommended that companies provide complete PPE, provide training and tighten security to reduce the risk of unsafe actions that can cause work accidents. Keywords: Welding, Unsafe Act, Attitude, Knowledge, availability of PPE  ABSTRAK Pengelasan (welding) merupakan satu diantara beberapa pekerjaan yang memberikan kontribusi kecelakaan dan penyakit akibat kerja. Proses yang dilakukan pada pekerjaan ini yaitu proses pembuatan struktur logam dengan memotong, membengkokkan, dan menyambung, serta memoles, pengecatan atau pelapisan potongan logam yang juga sejalan dengan proses lainnya. Berbagai risiko kecelakaan kerja pada pengelasan tersebut dapat disebabkan adanya unsafe act (tindakan tidak aman) dan Tindakan tidak aman tersebut dapat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor- faktor yang berhubungan dengan Tindakan tidak aman.  Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah literatur review yang menggunakan 10 jurnal acuan yang berasal dari google scholar, research gate, springer dan publikasi jurnal lainnya dengan rentang tahun publikasi 10 tahun terakhir yaitu dari tahun 2014 hingga tahun 2024.  Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi Tindakan tidak aman pada pekerja pengelasan adalah sikap, pengetahuan, karakter, dan ketersediaan APD. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi Tindakan tidak aman pada pekerja pengelasan.  Oleh karena itu disarankan kepada perusahaan untuk dapat menyediakan APD secara lengkap, mengadakan pelatihan, dan memperketat keamanan guna mengurangi risiko terjadinya Tindakan tidak aman yang dapat menyebabkan terjadinya kecelakaan kerja. Kata Kunci: Pengelasan, Tindakan Tidak Aman, Sikap, Pengetahuan, Ketersediaan APD

Abstract

Construction workers are frequently exposed to extreme outdoor temperatures, which impact their thermal comfort and physiological well-being. High air temperatures and inappropriate clothing insulation can lead to heat stress, reducing worker productivity and increasing health risks. This study aims to evaluate the relationship between clothing insulation, environmental conditions, and physiological responses to improve thermal comfort for construction workers. It contributes to the field by providing empirical data on how clothing insulation influences thermal comfort and physiological responses in a hot and humid construction environment. The findings highlight critical insights for ergonomic work wear design to mitigate heat stress. Data collected over four weeks at an active construction site. Environmental parameters, including air temperature, humidity, air velocity, and solar radiation, were measured using a weather station. Physiological responses, such as heart rate, core body temperature, and skin temperature, were monitored using wearable sensors. Subjective thermal comfort was assessed through structured questionnaires. Association between air temperature, clothing insulation, and skin temperature (p < 0.05). The average air temperature exceeded ASHRAE’s comfort range, and workers experienced increased physiological strain due to high clothing insulation values. Most workers reported discomfort, with 75% indicating that the thermal environment was unacceptable. The study also confirmed that ergonomic clothing adjustments, such as lightweight, breathable fabrics and cooling vests, could enhance thermal comfort and reduce heat stress. These findings emphasize the importance of optimizing work wear to improve construction workers' well-being. Future research should explore innovative materials and cooling technologies to enhance thermal regulation in extreme working environments.

Abstract

Perkembangan industri kuliner yang semakin kompetitif menuntut UMKM untuk memperkuat citra merek melalui strategi diferensiasi, salah satunya melalui desain kemasan. Temcit Chicken sebagai UMKM di Kota Semarang masih menggunakan kemasan generik tanpa elemen visual identitas, sehingga belum optimal sebagai media komunikasi merek. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang ulang kemasan yang lebih modern dan kompetitif guna meningkatkan nilai visual serta daya saing produk. Metode yang digunakan adalah Kansei Engineering untuk menerjemahkan persepsi emosional konsumen ke dalam parameter desain kemasan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner Kansei word, analisis konjoin, serta observasi eye-tracking menggunakan Tobii Pro Glasses 3 untuk mengukur respons visual terhadap elemen desain. Data dianalisis secara kuantitatif guna menentukan kombinasi atribut desain yang paling sesuai dengan citra yang diinginkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa desain kemasan terpilih berupa lunch box dengan direct print, warna label gelap, dan ilustrasi produk mampu merepresentasikan kesan modern, menarik, dan profesional. Desain ini dinilai lebih efektif dalam membangun identitas merek dan meningkatkan daya saing Temcit Chicken.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis postur kerja serta potensi bahaya ergonomi yang dapat menimbulkan gangguan otot rangka (Musculoskeletal Disorders/MSDs) pada pekerja di Lab Mekanika Departemen Quality Control dan Departemen BEICT (Business Enabler Information and Communication Technology) PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk. menggunakan metode SNI 9011:2021. Metode yang digunakan meliputi observasi langsung dan analisis SNI 9011:2021 yang mencakup survei keluhan gangguan otot rangka (GOTRAK), pengamatan postur kerja, dan penilaian potensi bahaya faktor ergonomi di tempat kerja untuk mengidentifikasi postur kerja yang berisiko. Hasil survei menunjukkan bahwa pekerja Lab Mekanika mengalami risiko gangguan otot rangka terutama pada punggung dan tubuh bagian bawah akibat aktivitas fisik berat dan postur kerja janggal yang dilakukan secara repetitive yaitu pada aktivitas pengambilan sampel dan proses milling. Sementara itu, pekerja di Departemen BEICT mengalami keluhan pada leher, punggung atas, dan pergelangan tangan akibat posisi duduk statis dalam jangka waktu lama serta fasilitas kerja yang tidak ergonomis. Rekomendasi perbaikan meliputi penyesuaian fasilitas kerja dengan prinsip ergonomi seperti penggunaan kursi dan meja adjustable, penataan ulang tata letak kerja, serta penerapan prosedur kerja yang mendukung variasi postur dan peregangan berkala guna meminimalkan risiko Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs).
