Abstract

This study was motivated by the low academic performance of 11th grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Batipuh, particularly those in class XI F6, whose average scores were still below the minimum passing grade of 80. The problems identified were the lack of variety in the teaching models used by teachers and the minimal interaction among students, resulting in a lack of in-depth understanding of historical material. The objective of this study is to describe the implementation of the Cooperative Script learning model assisted by Mind Mapping to enhance student activity and understanding in history learning. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, employing data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, documentation, and triangulation. The research subjects are students in class XI F6 during the second semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. Data analysis was conducted inductively through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research results indicate that the application of Cooperative Script assisted by Mind Mapping can create a more active, interactive, and focused learning environment. Students become more confident in expressing their opinions, more active in discussions, and find it easier to understand the material through mind mapping visualization. The challenge encountered is that some students remain passive; however, overall, this model is effective in improving students' understanding of the material, memory retention, and communication skills compared to the lecture method.

Abstract

Museum di Sawahlunto merupakan salah satu peninggalan bersejarah tentang kejayaan pertambangan batu bara yang ada di Sumtara Barat yang terhususnya pada era colonial Belanda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pemanfaatan museum di Sawahlunto sebagai sumber edukasi, baik dalam bentuk pembelajaran formal maupun non formal. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif yaitu melelui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Museum di Sawahlunto memiliki potensi yang sangat besar sebagai media pembelajaran sejarah, baik itu budaya, dan teknologi pertambangan. Para pengunjung terkhususnya para pelajar dapat memahami kehidupan masyarakat sawahlunto zaman dahulu dan kolonialisme melalui narasi yang tertera dan dijelaskan oleh pemandu museum. Namun dalam pemanfaatan museum sebagai sumber edukasi masih menghadapi tantatang seperti, masih terbatas akses, kurangnya kesesuai antara kurikulum dengan museum dan kurangnya minat anak-anak muda berkujung kemusem, maka dari itu perlunya kolaborasi antara pihak pemerintahan dengan sekolah supaya dapat mengoptimalkan peran museum Sawahlunto sumber belajar yang edukatif.

Abstract

This study examines the application of the video-assisted Simulation-Based Learning (SBL) model to enhance student engagement and understanding of the Proclamation of Indonesian Independence. The background of this research is based on the lack of variety in teaching methods used by teachers, which often results in student passivity in the learning process. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach which aims to provide an in-depth description of the process and impact of implementing this learning model. The research was conducted at SMA Negeri 4 Sijunjung with grade XI F2 students in the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. In line with the characteristics of qualitative research, data collection was carried out through classroom observation to capture student activities and teacher–student interactions during the implementation of the SBL model, in-depth interviews with the history teacher and several students as key informants to explore their perceptions, experiences, and responses, as well as documentation in the form of photographs, video recordings of learning activities, and supporting documents such as lesson plans (RPP). The results showed that the integration of the SBL model with video media significantly increased student learning motivation, critical thinking skills, and understanding of the historical context. Students were actively involved in role-playing simulations that reconstructed the events of the proclamation of independence, enabling them to connect emotionally and cognitively with the historical event. This research confirms that the combination of SBL and audiovisual media is a contextual and engaging history learning strategy that positively impacts students’ motivation, participation, and comprehension.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the socio-economic life of corn farmers in Nagari Geragahan Kampung Tabuah, Lubuk Basung Subdistrict, Agam Regency, during the period 2007–2022 and to analyze the factors influencing the dynamics of farmers’ welfare. The research employed the historical method through the stages of heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography by utilizing archival records, agricultural statistical data, government documents, and interviews with farmers and related stakeholders. The findings show that during 2007–2017 corn production increased significantly, from an average of 4–6 tons to 10–15 tons, supported by government assistance in the form of seeds and fertilizers as well as relatively high corn prices ranging from IDR 2,000–5,000 per kilogram. This condition contributed to higher household income, improved housing conditions, asset ownership, and better access to education for farmers’ children. However, in the period 2018–2022 production declined by approximately 20% due to land conversion, unstable prices (IDR 2,000–3,000 per kilogram), weather factors, and reduced government support, which affected the economic stability of farming households. Overall, the socio-economic life of corn farmers experienced dynamic changes and continues to face structural challenges in maintaining sustainable welfare.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the rise and fall of Pesantren Modern Terpadu (PMT) Prof. Dr. Hamka, focusing on the temporary relocation of student learning activities from Kecamatan Batang Anai, Kabupaten Padang Pariaman, to Pesantren Modern Terpadu (PMT) Prof. Dr. Hamka II in Kota Padang. The research employs historical methods, including heuristics, source criticism, analysis, and historiography. Data were gathered through interviews with relevant figures, as well as document and literature studies. The findings reveal that the pesantren, established in 1991, experienced significant development before facing a decline marked by a decrease in the number of students, ultimately leading to the relocation of its educational activities. This study provides insights into the internal dynamics of the pesantren in responding to the challenges of social and institutional change.

Abstract

Latar belakang, kesehatan dalam Islam masih terbatas maknanya seiring dengan perkembangan dan kemajuan saman, padahal Islam merupakan konsep hidup yang memperhatikan masalah kesehatan dengan segala aspek kehidupan. Dalam kehidupan kontemporer perlu upaya dalam merespon kebutuhan terkait dengan ruang lingkup kesehatan dengan melihat labih jauh agar konsep kesehatan dalam kajian Islam semakin luas dan sesuai kebutuhan hidup manusia pada umumnya dan umat Islam pada khususnya. Tujuan penulisan ini mendalami dan mengembangkan konsep kesehatan dalam perspektif hukum hukum Islam melalui pendekatan maqasid syariah dengan melihat konsep kesehatan lebih mendalam agar semakin terasa dalam kehidupan. Selanjutnya, Metode yang digunakan dalam penulisan ini adalah liberary riseach yakni merupakan metode kajian pustaka yang bersumber pada buku-buku, jurnal dan yang terkait dengan bahan kajian ini. Hasil kajian ini terkait kesehatan dalam pendekatan maqasid syariah yang sangat diperhatikan, sebab kemaslahatan manusia, baik buruknya kehidupan manusia, berakitifat atau tidak akan ditentukan oleh kesehatan. Oleh karena itu, makasid syariah sangat memperhatikan kesehatan. Tujuan hukum untuk menjaga eksistensi kehiduapan manusia, dengan mewujudkan kesehatan lahir dan batin. Kesimpulan, maqasid syaraih merupakan konsep dari hukum Islam yang menjaga kesehatan manusia dari segala kerusakan. Lalu bukti maqasid syariah sangat memperhatikan kesehatan, terdapat pada prinsip hifz nas, dan hifz yang lainnya yang sangat erat dengan kesehatan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Seesaw website-based digital learning media in assessing history learning skills at SMA N 9 Sijunjung. The method used was a qualitative research with a case study approach, involving 11th-grade students and history teachers as research subjects. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to students and in-depth interviews with teachers. The results showed that the use of Seesaw increased student engagement in the learning process, with an average percentage of learning activities reaching 90.19%. Students reported that the platform made it easier for them to access materials, collaborate in group discussions, and complete assignments more smoothly. Furthermore, teachers also found it easy to provide real-time feedback, which contributed to improving the quality of learning

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi sejarah melalui pelatihan content creator berbasis media digital. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini menggunakan pendekatan Service Learning sebagai model pemberdayaan generasi muda dalam meningkatkan literasi sejarah lokal melalui pemanfaatan media digital dengan melibatkan 33 mahasiswa sejarah. Pendekatan Service Learning dipilih karena mampu mengintegrasikan pengetahuan akademik, pengalaman langsung di lapangan, refleksi kritis, dan kontribusi nyata kepada Masyarakat. Tahap pelaksanaan meliputi pelatihan literasi sejarah digital, observasi langsung pada situs sejarah Islam di Ulakan Pariaman, praktik produksi video, hingga publikasi konten pada media sosial. Hasil evaluasi berdasarkan observasi kegiatan, refleksi peserta, dan penilaian produk menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan peserta dalam mengidentifikasi sumber sejarah yang kredibel, menyusun alur cerita sejarah secara lebih komunikatif, serta mengembangkan keterampilan produksi konten digital. Luaran kegiatan berupa konten video sejarah lokal yang dipublikasikan melalui media sosial sebagai bentuk implementasi public history dan digital history. Dengan demikian, pelatihan content creator sejarah berbasis Service Learning dapat menjadi model penguatan literasi sejarah lokal yang relevan dengan karakteristik generasi muda pada era digital.
