Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi tingkat pengetahuan orangtua atlet tentang pentingnya hidrasi cairan bagi atlet sepak bola sebelum dan sesudah diberikan konseling gizi. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Sekolah Sepak Bola (SSB) Kancil Mas menggunakan desain one group pre–post test. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari 16 orangtua atlet U-12 siswa SSB Kancil Mas. Intervensi dilakukan melalui konseling gizi tatap muka dengan metode ceramah interaktif, diskusi, dan tanya jawab menggunakan media leaflet. Tingkat pengetahuan diukur menggunakan kuesioner pengetahuan hidrasi dan dianalisis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan tingkat pengetahuan orangtua atlet setelah diberikan konseling gizi. Rerata skor pengetahuan meningkat dari 79,06 menjadi 91,56 (p=0,001). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa konseling gizi efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman orangtua mengenai kebutuhan cairan atlet dan peran mereka dalam mendukung praktik hidrasi yang optimal. Peningkatan ini sejalan dengan temuan dalam literatur yang menyatakan bahwa konseling dan edukasi gizi efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman sasaran. Meskipun demikian, tantangan dalam menjaga keberlanjutan penerapan pengetahuan masih perlu diperhatikan, seperti keterbatasan waktu pendampingan dan belum adanya evaluasi perubahan perilaku atlet secara langsung. Hasil kegiatan ini memberikan implikasi penting bagi pengembangan program konseling gizi dan edukasi hidrasi yang berkelanjutan dengan menjadikan orangtua sebagai komunitas sasaran utama di SSB.

Abstract

Obesitas merupakan permasalahan kesehatan masyarakat dengan prevalensi yang terus meningkat di negara maju maupun berkembang. Obesitas diklasifikasikan menjadi dua yaitu obesitas secara umum dan obesitas sentral. Obesitas sentral merupakan kondisi lemak yang berlebih disertai penumpukan lemak visceral di area perut bagian sentral atau tengah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan konsumsi minuman manis, asupan zat gizi makro dan aktivitas fisik dengan obesitas sentral. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional dengan desain cross sectional. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di 5 Posbindu wilayah kerja Puskesmas Telukjambe dengan sampel penelitian sebesar 80 responden menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data menggunakan uji Kendall’s Tau. Hasil uji korelasi menunjukkan bahwa adanya hubungan antara konsumsi minuman manis (p=0,047), asupan energi (p=0,025), asupan lemak (p=0,004), asupan karbohidrat (p=0,003) dan aktivitas fisik (p=0,000) dengan obesitas sentral. Tidak terdapat hubungan antara asupan protein dengan obesitas sentral (p=0,806). Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa konsumsi minuman manis, asupan zat gizi makro, serta tingkat aktivitas fisik berperan penting terhadap kejadian obesitas sentral dan perlu menjadi perhatian dalam upaya pencegahan.

Abstract

Background: Student learning outcomes are one of the main indicators of the success of an education. Environment is a factor that affects the growth and development of living things. There are three places within the scope of the social environment, namely the family environment, the school environment, and the community environment. Research Metodes: This research design uses cross-sectional with a sample of 35 respondents. Data analysis used Spearman's rho test and t test, to determine the correlation of variables and significant influence. Results: There is no significant relationship between the two variables with a significant value (0.242 < 0.05). And there is no influence on the two variables with the value of tcount < ttable (-1.193 < 2.034). Conclusion: There is no significant relationship and influence between social environment and student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Background: The toddler years are often referred to as the golden age, a critical period in a child's development that encompasses physical, psychomotor, mental, and social aspects. Good nutritional status is crucial for optimal child development, while excessive nutrition, such as overweight and obesity, can hinder growth and increase the risk oflong-term diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases. Purpose: To determine the effect of education using leaflets on improving knowledge about balanced nutrition among mothers of toddlers with nutritional problems. Method: The method used in this study was a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test post-test group design conducted in Dewisari Village, Rengasdengklok District, with a total of 30 respondents. Results: The statistical test results using the Wilcoxon test yielded a p-value of 0.002 (p<0.005), which means that there is an effect of providing education through leaflets on the balanced nutrition knowledge of mothers of toddlers with nutritional deficiencies. Conclusion: This study shows that education through leaflets is effective in improving mothers' nutritional knowledge, which in turn can contribute to improving the nutritional status of toddlers

Abstract

Study Purpose. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in athletes‘ nutritional knowledge related to eating arrangements through nutrition education using printed infographic nutrition education media that contains material about eating arrangements for athletes and determine the effectiveness of the media used to increase athletes’ knowledge. Materials and Methods. This study used a quantitative approach with experimental research methods and quasi-experimental research types. Respondents of this study were 30 11-year-old soccer athletes with nutritional status categories based on Z-score (IMT/U). Results. The result is that there is a significant increase in athletes‘ knowledge after the intervention (p=0.000), Based on the results of the analysis, there is an increase in the knowledge score from pre-test (50,83 ± 10,9) ke post-test (66,67 ± 8,2), that the infographic media used is effective to increase athletes’ knowledge about good eating arrangements and nutrition for athletes. Conclusion. There is an increase in nutritional knowledge related to eating arrangements in athletes after a nutrition education intervention with printed infographic media, so that the media used is proven effective for increasing athletes' knowledge related to eating arrangements. The limitations of this study are that the period of intervention is quite short and only reviews the increase in knowledge only at the time of the pre-test and post-test so that it is not effective to determine the long-term effects on the attitudes and behaviour of athletes. It is hoped that future research will carry out interventions in a long enough period of time and carry out continuous monitoring to see the long-term effects on athletes.

Abstract

Kabupaten Karawang memiliki prevalensi stunting 17,4% dan diperlukan perhatian dari berbagai pihak, termasuk perguruan tinggi dan stakeholder. Stunting tidak hanya mempengaruhi pertumbuhan fisik, tetapi dampaknya pada pertumbuhan otak lebih berbahaya. Fakultas Ilmu Kesehatan Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang melakukan pengabdian masyarakat untuk membantu masyarakat dalam upaya penuruan dan percepatan stunting di Kabupaten Karawang. Kegiatan dilakukan di salah satu desa terpilih yang termasak ke dalam lokus stunting, dengan program “Ceting De Gong” dilaksanalan melalui tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Kader/ TPK diberikan pelatihan pembuatan tanaman dengan metode veltikulture, pelatihan pembuatan MPASI/PMT dengan pangan lokal, Edukasi Peningkatan Kepercayaan Diri Kader/TPK, Pelatihan Antropometri, Edukasi Pencegahan dan Penanganan Stunting, Edukasi pembuatan Nomor Izin Berusaha (NIB) dan sertifikat Halal. Secara keseluruhan kegiatan “Ceting De Gong” dapat meningkatkan keterampilan dan pengetahuan Kader/TKP dan masyarakat khususnya Desa Kondangjaya.

Abstract

Obesity among older adults is a growing public health concern associated with an increased risk of non-communicable diseases, particularly due to low nutritional knowledge and nutritional literacy as well as unhealthy lifestyle behaviors. This study aimed to determine the effect of nutrition education leaflets related to obesity on the level of nutritional knowledge and nutritional literacy among older adults at Posbindu Teluk Jambe, Karawang Regency. This research employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design. The sample consisted of 31 older adults selected using total sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire administered before and after the intervention. The intervention involved the distribution of nutrition education leaflets containing information on obesity, risk factors, health impacts, balanced nutrition, and physical activity recommendations. Data were analyzed using univariate analysis and the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test due to non-normal data distribution. The pre-test results showed a mean knowledge score of 3.81 ± 1.642 with a median of 4.00 and a score range of 1–7. After the intervention, the post-test mean score increased to 6.00 ± 1.065 with a median of 6.00 and a score range of 4–8. The Wilcoxon test showed Z = -3.771 with Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 (p<0.05), indicating a significant difference between knowledge scores before and after the leaflet intervention. These findings demonstrate that nutrition education leaflets are effective in improving nutritional knowledge and supporting nutritional literacy among older adults. Abstract

Nutritional status among elementary school children is an important indicator of health, growth, and development, and may be influenced by dietary behaviors such as breakfast habits and pocket money. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between pocket money and breakfast habits with the nutritional status of students at SDN Adiarsa Barat IV, Karawang Regency. This study used a quantitative cross-sectional design involving 30 elementary school students selected as respondents. Data on pocket money and breakfast habits were collected using questionnaires, while nutritional status was determined based on body mass index (BMI). Data analysis was performed using the Spearman correlation test. The results showed that there was no significant relationship between pocket money and nutritional status (p-value = 0.181; r = 0.338). However, breakfast habits were significantly associated with nutritional status (p-value = 0.003; r = -0.527). Students with poor breakfast habits were more likely to have overweight nutritional status, while students with good breakfast habits tended to have normal nutritional status. These findings indicate that breakfast habits play an important role in maintaining the nutritional status of school-aged children. Therefore, schools and parents should encourage healthy breakfast habits and balanced eating patterns to prevent nutritional problems among elementary school children.
