Abstract

This study explores the role of corporate governance and financial transparency in reducing fraud within global financial markets from a legal perspective. Through an analysis of case studies and regulatory frameworks, it examines how robust governance mechanisms—such as independent boards, effective audit committees, and clear separation of CEO and chair roles—enhance financial transparency and accountability. Legal reforms, including the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, have proven effective in reducing fraud in developed markets but highlight enforcement challenges in emerging economies. The study also discusses emerging trends such as the integration of ESG criteria and the adoption of technologies like blockchain and AI, which offer new opportunities to improve transparency and governance. The findings suggest that a multi-faceted approach combining legal reforms, technological innovation, and cultural alignment is essential for building a resilient and trustworthy global financial system.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of sustainability labels, minimalist design, and brand activism on consumers’ perception of premium products. Drawing from signaling theory and consumer psychology, the research examines how these factors serve as signals that shape premium product evaluation. Using survey data analyzed through multiple regression, the findings reveal that all three variables significantly and positively impact premium product perception, with sustainability labels exerting the strongest effect. Minimalist design and brand activism also contribute meaningfully by enhancing perceived elegance and aligning brand values with consumer ethics. Using a structured questionnaire adapted from established scales, data were collected from 300 respondents and analyzed through descriptive statistics, reliability testing, confirmatory factor analysis, and multiple regression. The findings reveal that retro-themed content positively influences customer re-engagement both directly and indirectly through emotional resonance, which serves as a significant mediator. Brand consistency also contributes positively to customer re-engagement, though to a lesser extent. These results highlight the importance of leveraging nostalgia in marketing strategies while ensuring consistent brand messaging to strengthen emotional connections and encourage repeated interactions. The study provides theoretical and practical insights for marketers seeking to enhance customer loyalty through retro-themed campaigns.
