Abstract

Innovative learning strategies for Islamic Religious Education are needed to improve cognitive abilities, including analysis, application, creation, presentation, and implementation; affective abilities, including appreciation and organization or characterization; and psychomotor abilities, with the perception of the Qur'an and Hadith, which can enrich the vocational needs of students. This qualitative case study research aims to describe and analyze innovative learning strategies for Islamic Religious Education at Mambaul Ulum Vocational High School based on the Merdeka Belajar curriculum. Data collection through interviews, observations, and documentation. Testing the validity of the collected data through triangulation, expert discussions, and member checking. Data analysis using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana methods with data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion. The study showed that the Islamic Religious Education teachers implemented three innovative learning strategies. First, problem-based learning integrates religious concepts with real issues to develop cognitive, affective, and psychomotor abilities. Second, inquiry-based learning through independent investigation and applying religious concepts in everyday life to deepen understanding. Third, flipped classroom combines independent learning at home with classroom discussion activities. Applying three innovative learning strategies has an impact on increasing learning motivation, knowledge of worship, and critical thinking skills. The value of this research lies in the application of learning strategies that connect religious concepts with actual practices to improve the quality of learning in vocational environments. The research findings strengthen constructivism through problem-based, inquiry-based, and flipped classroom theory by showing that active, collaborative, and interactive learning improves understanding and application of learning materials.

Abstract

The aims of this research is to examine how the idea of Islamic education supervision is implemented in Senior High Schools in order to promote the growth of multicultural education. This study primarily examines the role of supervision in the School's multicultural education policies and practices, from conception to execution to assessment. This research employs the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) methodology to locate a suitable supervision framework to aid multicultural education. The study's findings suggest that the suggested supervision framework highlights the synergy between Islamic value-based supervision methods and the application of multiculturalism concepts. The three main elements of this framework are enhancing teachers' multicultural skills, creating a curriculum based on value integration, and ongoing monitoring to make sure that learning practices promote cultural harmony. This model is anticipated to establish an inclusive educational environment that is pertinent to the diversity found in Islamic educational establishments like MAN and other public schools at the same grade level.

This study aims to explore the contribution of Islamic educational supervision in improving the quality of multicultural education in Islamic schools. The background of this study is based on the importance of multicultural education in the context of pluralistic Indonesian society, as well as the need to make educational supervision a means of teacher development in creating inclusive and tolerant learning. Islamic schools have a responsibility to instill Islamic values that are in line with the principles of diversity and social justice. Therefore, Islamic educational supervision needs to be directed to support the strengthening of multicultural values in educational practices. This research method uses a qualitative approach with literature review techniques. Data were obtained through analysis of scientific literature in the form of journals, books, and academic documents that are relevant to the theme of Islamic educational supervision and multicultural education. The analysis was carried out descriptively with the steps of identification, classification, synthesis, and interpretation of findings from various sources. The results of the study indicate that Islamic educational supervision contributes to five main aspects: improving teacher competence in a multicultural perspective, integrating Islamic values with the principle of inclusivity, establishing a tolerant school climate, transforming school culture, and developing leadership based on Islamic values. The conclusion of this study confirms that supervision of Islamic education carried out effectively and contextually can be a strategic instrument in supporting the realization of quality multicultural education in Islamic schools.

Abstract

Literacy encompasses more than just the ability to read and write; it also includes critical and analytical thinking skills in understanding information. In Islamic education, literacy-based learning management serves as an essential solution for improving the quality of learning. This approach integrates Islamic values with literacy skills, enabling students not only to comprehend religious knowledge but also to apply these values in their daily lives. This study aims to analyze literacy-based learning management strategies in Islamic education at the elementary school level, as well as to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors. The research is expected to contribute to the development of a contextual and innovative Islamic education model. It employs a literature review method to examine the concept of literacy-based learning management within Islamic education at the primary school level. The findings reveal that literacy-based learning management in Islamic Education plays a significant role in enhancing students' reading and writing interest. Islamic literacy not only sharpens reading and writing skills but also aids students in internalizing the moral and spiritual values embedded in Islamic texts. The improvement of literacy skills strengthens students’ ability to analyze, formulate ideas, and apply insights to real-life situations. Moreover, Islamic literacy contributes to character development in students, fostering traits such as honesty, responsibility, and empathy. Teachers’ support in integrating literacy through relevant reading materials and active learning methods is vital in creating meaningful learning experiences. Therefore, literacy strategies rooted in Islamic education can serve as a strong foundation for shaping intelligent and morally upright Muslim generations.

Abstract

Eclecticism in the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI) is evident through the incorporation of various opinions from different schools of Islamic jurisprudence, including the Shafi‘i school as the dominant madhhab in Indonesia, as well as the Hanafi, Maliki, and Hanbali schools, alongside several modern approaches. This method reflects an effort to reconstruct Islamic law so that it aligns with social needs and the national legal system. This study employs a library research method. The primary sources consist of the official text of the KHI, classical fiqh works from the four major schools (Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi‘i, and Hanbali), and contemporary literature on Islamic family law in Indonesia. The analytical techniques used include document study, article content analysis, and tracing the compatibility of madhhab opinions with the norms adopted in the KHI, supplemented by a sociological approach to assess the implications of its implementation in practice. The findings indicate that the application of eclecticism in Book I of the KHI is grounded in (a) social plurality; (b) the sustainability of the national legal system; (c) the values of justice; and (d) legal adaptability. The procedural steps of madhhab-based eclecticism in the KHI involve: (a) identifying issues of Islamic law to be compiled, (b) examining textual evidences and madhhab opinions, (c) selecting the most beneficial view (maslahah), (d) harmonizing it with the national legal system, and (e) conducting academic validation and social feasibility testing.
