Abstract

Indonesia has significant potential in dairy cattle production, one example being in Dusun Tepus, Ngantru Village, Ngantang Subdistrict, Malang Regency. The business group “Mustarika Jaya Makmur” consists of dairy farmers producing fresh milk. Previously, the State Polytechnic of Malang (Polinema) provided solutions in the form of training on supply chain management, milk processing, and the application of production calculation tools to support efficiency. Considering the business potential of mozzarella cheese, the group increased its production capacity to 50 liters of fresh milk on a pilot scale to initiate the “Kampung Kedju” program, aimed at improving the villagers’ livelihoods. This Community Service Program (PPM) is expected to provide solutions through production enhancement, assistance in the use of equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP), and the implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in cheese production. The expected outputs include improved partner capacity, scientific publications, and copyright registration of a HACCP guideline.

Abstract

Background: The rapid development of technology presents challenges in electronics education, particularly related to students’ ability to observe, identify, and test electronic components such as transistors through practical experiments. Objective: This study aims to systematically observe and measure transistor characteristics by identifying codes on the transistor body, determining voltage parameters, and analyzing LED load behavior when a transistor operates as a switch. Methods: The research employed an experimental approach using direct electrical measurements. A BC547 transistor was tested by applying incremental voltage inputs at the base terminal ranging from 2 Vpp to 4 Vpp (2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, and 4 Vpp). Measurements were conducted using a multimeter, power supply, and supporting circuit components under open-switch and closed-switch configurations. Results: In the closed-switch configuration, a voltage of 2 Vpp produced 0 A current with the LED off, while 2.5 Vpp resulted in 0 A current with dim illumination. Voltage inputs between 3–4 Vpp generated currents ranging from 0.02–0.12 A, causing the LED to illuminate brightly. In the open-switch configuration, all voltage levels resulted in 0 A current and the LED remained off, confirming switching behavior. Conclusion: The findings confirm that the BC547 transistor base terminal effectively functions as an electronic switch and amplifier. This study contributes to basic electronics learning by providing a clear, measurement-based experimental procedure and supports practical understanding for students and technicians in transistor identification and application.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze community-based waste management in preventing intergenerational environmental impacts in Jenarsari Village. A qualitative approach with a case study design was used to explore the dynamics of community participation and the sustainability of waste management practices at the local level. Data were obtained through observation, semi-structured interviews, and limited questionnaires, then analyzed using an interactive model through reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the formation of collective awareness, support from local leadership, and consistent outreach are the main factors in encouraging changes in community behavior. Scientific findings indicate a transformation in values regarding waste as a resource with social and economic value. Active community participation has been shown to strengthen sorting practices and gradually reduce household residues. Furthermore, the involvement of the younger generation shows the potential for environmental sustainability in the context of intergenerational inheritance. Overall, this study confirms that community-based waste management is an effective socio-ecological strategy in building a sustainable culture of environmental awareness.

Abstract

The success of intensive striped catfish (Pangasius hypophthalmus) cultivation requires quality feed that contains not only protein according to fish needs but also a complete essential amino acid profile to support the fish growth. One solution to overcome this problem is done through the addition of lysine in the feed commercial. This study aimed to examine the effect of lysine addition on the efficiency of feed utilization, growth and body composition of striped catfish (P. hypophthalmus). The study consisted of 4 (four) treatments those were with dosages of 0% / kg of feed (A); 0.6% / kg of feed (B); 1.2% / kg of feed (C); and 2.4% / kg of feed (D) of lysine for every kg of feed. The experimental diet in this study was a commercial feed in the form of pellets which was added with the lysine. A fixed feeding rate of 5%/weight of biomass/day was applied at frequency 3 times a day. The experimental fish used were striped catfish fingerling has an average weight of 4.13 0.26 g/individuals. The results showed that the addition 1,2% / kg of lysine to the diet increased SGR, EFU, FCR, PER and protein content of the body composition of striped catfish.
