Abstract

Pusat kegiatan belajar masyarakat (PKBM) menjadi solusi alternatif bagi anak-anak putus sekolah di Kota Merauke agar tetap belajar. Salah satunya adalah PKBM Weda Agletok Say (WAS). Namun, proses pembelajaran yang digunakan masih bersifat tradisional dan belum terdapat penggunaan media yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa. Tujuan pengabdian ini yaitu untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mengajar tutor PKBM-WAS. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan melalui presentasi, diskusi, demonstrasi, dan pendampingan. Strategi pendampingan menggunakan metode ICARE (Introduction, Connection, Application, Reflection, dan Extension) dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 16 orang. Pelatihan ini berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman tutor tentang pembelajaran efektif dan menyenangkan, dari skor rata-rata pre-test sebesar 30,94 menjadi 75,94 saat post-test. Keterampilan mengajar tutor menunjukkan peningkatan kualitas dari aspek pemanfaatan media pembelajaran, penggunaan ice breaking, dan penguasaan konsep materi ajar.

Abstract

E-book menjadi salah satu solusi bagi siswa di provinsi Papua, khususnya kecamatan Merauke yang sering mengalami keterlambatan dalam pendistribusian buku cetak pelajaran dan juga harga yang relatif lebih mahal. Salah satu e-book yang telah dikembangkan adalah e-book berbasis kontekstuan dengan judul Tanah Animhaku. Pengembangan bahan ajar ini bermaksud menggali kemampuan siswa melalui strategi inkuiri. Potensi siswa yang dikembangkan melalui pengembangan bahan ajar membaca berbasis pendekatan kontekstual meliputi aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotor. Pengembangan bahan ajar ini menolong siswa membuat kaitan antara materi bahan ajar dengan kehidupan siswa. Siswa mengalami dan mempelajari sendiri sehingga pembelajaran menjadi lebih bermakna. Tujuan penelitian yakni mengukur kefektifan e-book membaca berbasis pendekatan kontekstual “Tanah Animhaku” dalam meningkatkan pemahaman bacaan siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar di Merauke. Desain penelitian pada penelitian ini adalah desain one grup pretest- postest. Data kuantitatif dianalisis untuk mendapatkan N-gain dihitung menggunakan rumus Meltzer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil pretest siswa tanpa menggunakan bahan ajar membaca berbasis pendekatan kontekstual memperoleh rata-rata nilai 74,88 atau kurang dari KKM (Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal) yaitu 75. Hasil posttest menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rata-rata pemahaman siswa. Hasil pemahaman siswa pada saat posttest memperoleh rata-rata nilai 88,8. Hal ini mengindikasikan e-book yang telah disusun memberikan peningkatan pemahaman membaca siswa kelas IV di Merauke.

Abstract

Hydrogel is a water medium that functions to absorb water and nutrients for plants and release them slowly according to plant needs. Participants were elementary school age children in the Lampu Satu Indah housing complex in Merauke. The method uses lectures and practice. The socialization activities were carried out well, the participants were very enthusiastic. After participating in the socialization activities, participants gained new experiences and new knowledge.

Abstract

Matematika merupakan pelajaran yang diajarkan dari tingkat Sekolah Dasar hingga Perguruan Tinggi. Matematika diajarkan guna mengajarkan kepada siswa ubtuk berpikir logis, mencari hubungan, serta berpikir kretaif. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Universitas Musamus jurusa Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar dengan subjek penelitian berjumlah 63 mahasiswa. Adapun materi yang dipilih yakni penjumlahan bilangan bulat. Penelitian menunjukkan apabila mahasiswa masuk dalam kriteria sedang dalam penguasaan konsep penjumlahan bilangan bulat diakibatkan kurang pemahaman mengenai penjumlahan bilangan bulat.

Abstract

Training is a form of Community Service or Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) carried out by lecturers. The target of the training is students with weight conversion material. The stages carried out are taking care of the PKM implementation permit, preparing the place as well as the tools and materials needed in the training, and implementing PKM. Weight conversion is interpreted as the weight of units between units having the same value. Weight conversion must be mastered by students as prospective teachers so that media creation training is needed. The training was held in March 2025 at Building 1.3, Musamus University. The results of the weight conversion training were that students were able to use weight conversion media and explain the conversion method in detail. The benefits obtained were that lecturers could share knowledge and experience in developing weight conversion media; for students, the benefits obtained were being able to make weight conversion media, becoming one of the media used when teaching, increasing creativity, and better communication skills.

Abstract

IPLT Keputih, the only fecal sludge treatment plant in Surabaya City, plays a critical role in the city's sanitation infrastructure. Its operation is critical to manage the fecal sludge generated by Surabaya residents, ensuring that the effluent is effectively treated before being safely discharged to the environment. According to previous studies, IPLT Keputih still has significant untapped potential, especially in the Solid Separation Chamber (SSC) and Grease Trap (GT) units, which have idle capacity that can be optimized to improve overall efficiency. The study involved primary and secondary data collection. Primary data was collected through comprehensive field observations and measurements, while secondary data was obtained from relevant agencies. Data analysis showed that IPLT Keputih currently treats an average of 97.71 m3 of septage per day. However, the facility has an idle capacity of 139.89 m3/day, which indicates a great opportunity to improve utilization. The calculation of the existing idle capacity was conducted based on the maximum discharge of sludge entering the IPLT Keputih in 2022. Several scenarios were developed to fully utilize the idle capacity of the SSC and GT units. The scenarios include the optimization of the SSC unit through improved desludging services, the optimization of the SSC and GT through improved non-fecal sludge management services for restaurants, as well as the implementation of a blended approach to improve the overall service of IPLT Keputih.

Abstract

Evaluasi unit operasi dan unir proses IPLT Keputih perlu dilakukan, guna menunjang tingkat pelayanan IPLT Keputih. Pengujian karakteristik lumpur yang masuk ke IPLT dilakukan dengan melakukan pengujian di laboratorium terkait parameter pH, BOD, COD, TSS, TVS, TFS, N, P, minyak, lemak serta uji SVI. Sampel yang diambil dari beberapa tempat, yaitu berasal dari non tinja seperti Sentra Wisata Kuliner, Rusunawa, Sentra Pasar Ikan, Fasilitas Kesehatan, Mall dan Restoran. Sedangkan untuk lumpur tinja diambil dari masing-masing unit pengolahan di IPLT Keputih. Berdasarkan karakteristik masing-masing beban pencemar, yaitu berasal lumpur non tinja dan tinja mengindikasikan beban yang cukup besar. Beban lumpur sendiri yang didapatkan dari Rusunawa mengindikasikan bahwa lumpur masih tergolong segar, belum ada degradasi yang terjadi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik lumpur tinja dari masing-masing unit pengolahan IPLT Keputih masih melebihi baku mutu yang berlaku. Besarnya beban pencemar yang masuk ke IPLT Keputih yang bukan hanya dari lumpur tinja, namun juga lumpur non tinja mengakibatkan beban pengolahan yang tidak sesuai idle capacity unit pengolahan di IPLT Keputih.

Abstract

This study aims to measure the effectiveness of reading e-books based on a contextual approach to the environmental care attitude of fourth grade elementary school students. This study is a quantitative study. The design of this study is a one group pretest-posttest design. Thus, it can be known more accurately, because it can be compared with being held before being treated. This study was conducted in SD Advent, SD YPK Kuprik and SD YPPK St. Fransiskus Xaverius 2 Merauke. Data collection techniques include tests, observations and documentation. The tests conducted include pretests and posttests. Quantitative data are pretest, posttest and N-gain scores, to determine how effective the application of local wisdom-based teaching materials is by looking at N-gain. The results of the study also showed that the pretest results of students' environmental awareness attitudes without using contextual approach-based reading teaching materials obtained a percentage of 47.25% with a category that was starting to be seen. The posttest results showed an increase in students' environmental awareness attitudes. Students' environmental awareness attitudes at the time of the posttest obtained a percentage of 82.42% with a category that had become a culture.

Abstract

This study aimed to improve speaking skills and curiosity characters through the Talking Stick learning model. This research was classroom action research with Kurt Lewin's model. This research consisted of four stages in each cycle; planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. This research was conducted at SD YPPK St. Agustinus Erambu. The research subjects were 12 students at grade IV (eight boys and four girls). Data collection techniques used were observation and tests. The research instruments were the syllabus, lesson plans, student worksheets, and tests. The data analysis techniques were class averages, classical learning completeness, student and teacher activity data analysis. The results obtained an increase in students' speaking skills and curiosity character, as well as the minimum completeness criteria. The result of the average score in the first cycle for speaking skills was 67.91 while the curiosity character was72 and in the second cycle, the speaking skills was 72.25% while the curiosity character was 86%. It means that the Talking Stick learning model improved students' speaking skills and curiosity character.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan partisipasi aktif mahasiswa dalam proses pembelajaran pada mata kuliah Profesi Keguruan di Jurusan Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar, Universitas Musamus Merauke. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa PGSD Unmus yang mengambil mata kuliah Profesi Keguruan. Objek penelitian ini adalah partisipasi aktif mahasiswa. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah pendekatan kualitatif. Data penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan penelitian. Hasil observasi pembelajaran oleh dosen observer pada penerapan model pembelajaran jigsaw penilaian dosen observer sebesar 96% kategori sangat aktif, penilaian mahasiswa sebesar 82,14% kategori sangat aktif. Sedangkan untuk pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran konvensional diperoleh hasil penilaian observer sebesar 52% dengan kategori cukup aktif, dan hasil penilaian mahasiswa menunjukkan persentase sebesar 45,31% dengan kategori cukup aktif.
