Abstract

Degradasi akhlak di kalangan generasi muda menjadi isu global yang semakin mengkhawatirkan, ditandai dengan meningkatnya kasus perundungan, kekerasan seksual, dan penyimpangan moral lainnya, baik di Indonesia maupun di Malaysia. Al-Qur’an sebagai sumber utama ajaran Islam menegaskan pentingnya penanaman nilai-nilai akhlak, sebagaimana tercermin dalam keagungan akhlak Rasulullah ﷺ yang menjadi teladan utama bagi umat manusia. Salah satu metode efektif dalam upaya internalisasi nilai-nilai tersebut adalah tadabbur Al-Qur’an, yang menekankan perenungan dan penghayatan pesan-pesan moral dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi penanaman nilai-nilai akhlak melalui program tadabbur Al-Qur’an di Ma’had Darul Azhar Wal Hikmah Malaysia, dengan fokus pada nilai kejujuran, tanggung jawab, rendah hati, dan bersyukur. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program tadabbur Al-Qur’an di Ma’had Darul Azhar Wal Hikmah telah diimplementasikan secara terstruktur dan berkesinambungan. Proses pembelajaran melibatkan pembacaan, pemahaman makna, diskusi, serta refleksi yang dipandu oleh ustadz sebagai teladan utama. Santri menunjukkan perubahan perilaku yang positif, di antaranya peningkatan kejujuran, tanggung jawab, sikap rendah hati, dan rasa syukur dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Lingkungan pesantren yang kondusif, integrasi program dengan kurikulum, serta komitmen para pendidik menjadi faktor pendukung utama keberhasilan implementasi. Namun, terdapat hambatan berupa keterbatasan tenaga pendidik yang kompeten, variasi metode pembelajaran yang masih terbatas, serta pengaruh lingkungan luar pesantren seperti media sosial dan pergaulan bebas. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan pelatihan tadabbur bagi pendidik, inovasi metode pembelajaran, serta peningkatan kolaborasi antara pesantren, keluarga, dan masyarakat untuk mengoptimalkan penanaman nilai-nilai akhlak melalui tadabbur Al-Qur’an.

Abstract

Modern Western civilization has produced damage to science and many secular scientists. This challenge has elicited various responses from Muslim scholars in various parts of the world. The response was carried out with a movement of Islamization of science in various institutions of higher education. One of the institutions that responded to this challenge was Ibn Khaldun University Bogor (IKUB). On this campus, a movement called Islamization of Science and Campus (ISC) emerged. The purpose of this study is to find the idea and implementation of ISC that has been carried out by IKUB. The results of this study found that the idea of ISC conducted at IKUB was conceptualized based on three considerations, namely Islamic teachings, campus institutional aspects, and community conditions. The implementation of ISC that was initiated is, the motivation of sincere intentions because of Allah for each campus community, developing Islamic scientific traditions, instilling Islamic values in the tri dharma (teaching, research, and community service), the application of campus Islamic culture, and the example of Islamic akhlak from leaders at various levels.

Abstract

Indonesia has a majority Muslim population and has challenges maintaining and strengthening Islamic identity and values in globalization and Western cultural influences. Western influences enter the education sector, especially science education, primarily through textbooks. Science textbooks in Indonesia are often based on Western science paradigms rooted in a naturalistic or materialistic worldview, which contradicts the Islamic worldview. This article explores the Islamic worldview in Basic Natural Science textbooks to strengthen the identity and sustainability of Islamic values in Indonesia. Incorporating the Islamic worldview in science education can provide a holistic and integrated approach to learning, aligning scientific knowledge with Islamic teachings and principles. Although not comprehensive, the Islamic worldview is present in Indonesia's Basic Natural Science textbooks. Steps to strengthen Islamic identity and values in science learning are carried out by Emphasis on understanding the creation of the universe by Allah, integration of moral and ethical values in the context of science, introduction to the contributions of Muslim scientists in the history of science, explaining natural phenomena in the perspective of the Islamic worldview, and correcting science concepts that are not following the Islamic worldview.

Abstract

Teachers' professional competence plays an important role in creating a meaningful learning process and influences the development of students' creativity. This study aims to determine the level of teachers' professional competence, the level of students' creativity, and the influence of teachers' professional competence on students' creativity in the subject of Islamic History at the Darussalam Ciomas Bogor Islamic Boarding School. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data were obtained through questionnaires distributed to 100 students. The instruments were tested using validity and reliability tests, and analyzed using prerequisite tests (normality and linearity), Pearson correlation tests, and simple linear regression tests. The results of the study showed that teachers' professional competence and students' creativity were in the high category. There is a significant influence between teacher professional competence on student creativity with a significance value of 0.000 and a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.644. The determination coefficient value (R²) of 0.415 indicates that 41.5% of the variation in student creativity is influenced by teacher professional competence. It can be concluded that the higher the teacher's professional competence, the higher the student's creativity in learning Islamic History. Therefore, increasing teacher competence is an important factor in supporting innovative and creative learning processes in Islamic boarding schools

Abstract

This research discusses the relationship between the leadership competence of Islamic Education teachers and the improvement of students' religious character. The research was conducted at SDN Lumbung. The research problems are the influence of Islamic Education teachers' leadership on students, the improvement of students' religious character, and the relationship between the leadership competence of Islamic Education teachers and the improvement of students' religious character. The purpose of this research is to understand the impact of the leadership competence of Islamic Education teachers on students, the improvement of students' religious character, and the relationship between the leadership competence of Islamic Education teachers and the improvement of students' religious character. The method used is quantitative descriptive, and the data collected is obtained from questionnaires. The research results indicate that the relationship between the leadership competence of Islamic Education teachers and the improvement of students' religious character is 0.702. Furthermore, the results of the analysis show that the correlation test value Sig (0.001) < α (0.05). In addition, the results of the significance test analysis show that Fhitung (56.295) > Ftabel (3.175) with Sig. (0.001) < α (0.05), thus rejecting Ho and accepting Ha.

Abstract

Food security remains a critical challenge in Indonesia, where population growth, land conversion, and environmental degradation threaten sustainable food systems. Islamic boarding schools (pesantren), as influential educational and community-based institutions, hold significant potential to contribute to food security through integrated education and practice. By embedding food security concepts into curricula and daily routines, pesantren can cultivate a holistic model that unites faith, knowledge, and sustainability. This study emphasizes the role of santri in developing practical competencies through hydroponics, aquaponics, biopore infiltration systems, organic waste utilization, and sustainable cultivation. These practices not only ensure the availability of nutritious food for students but also foster ecological awareness, technical skills, and entrepreneurial capacity. The methodology includes the development of structured learning modules, hands-on training, teacher capacity building, and institutional integration, supported by monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to ensure sustainability. A notable example is Pesantren Tahfiz Al-Qur’an Ibnu Jauzi, Dramaga, Bogor, which demonstrates the potential to combine religious education with innovative food security initiatives. In the long term, pesantren-based programs strengthen institutional self-sufficiency, reduce dependency on external supplies, and empower surrounding communities, positioning pesantren as strategic actors in advancing national food sovereignty and sustainable development.

Abstract

This study aims to map the perceptions of students of the Islamic Education Study Program at Ibn Khaldun University of Bogor regarding the relationship between science and religion and analyze the influence of demographic factors on these perceptions. The research used a field research approach with a survey method through a questionnaire distributed to 155 6th semester students in the range of 2023-2025, with a simple random sampling technique. The data were analyzed based on four typologies of science and religion relations, namely pro-religion conflict, pro-science conflict, independent, and harmonious. The results showed that almost all respondents were at a high level in the pro-religious conflict typology, which indicates the strong position of religion as the main truth reference. In the harmonious typology, about two-thirds of students were in the high category, indicating an integrative tendency between science and religion. Meanwhile, in the independent and pro-science conflict typologies, the majority of students are at a moderate level, indicating a neutral and not yet fully assertive attitude. The findings also showed that the factors of gender, educational background, and school origin did not provide significant differences in perception. This study concludes that PAI students tend to view the relationship between science and religion in a normative-religious manner, with a tendency to be harmonious, and place religion as the main epistemological framework in addressing science. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan persepsi mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Agama Islam Universitas Ibn Khaldun Bogor mengenai hubungan antara sains dan agama serta menganalisis pengaruh faktor demografis terhadap persepsi tersebut. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan lapangan (field research)  dengan metode survei melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada 155 mahasiswa semester VI pada rentang tahun 2023–2025, dengan teknik simple random sampling. Data dianalisis berdasarkan empat tipologi relasi sains dan agama, yaitu konflik pro-agama, konflik pro-sains, independen, dan harmonis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hampir seluruh responden berada pada tingkat tinggi dalam tipologi konflik pro-agama, yang menandakan kuatnya posisi agama sebagai rujukan kebenaran utama. Pada tipologi harmonis, sekitar dua pertiga mahasiswa berada pada kategori tinggi, menunjukkan adanya kecenderungan integratif antara sains dan agama. Sementara itu, pada tipologi independen dan konflik pro-sains, mayoritas mahasiswa berada pada tingkat sedang, yang mengindikasikan sikap netral dan belum sepenuhnya tegas. Temuan juga menunjukkan bahwa faktor jenis kelamin, latar belakang pendidikan, dan asal sekolah tidak memberikan perbedaan persepsi yang signifikan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa mahasiswa PAI cenderung memandang relasi sains dan agama secara normatif-religius, dengan kecenderungan harmonis, serta menempatkan agama sebagai kerangka epistemologis utama dalam menyikapi sains.

Abstract

The use of audio-visual media is considered important to increase the effectiveness of learning and help students understand religious material more contextually. This study aims to analyze the application of audio-visual media in learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMAN 1 Bogor City and identify the benefits and obstacles faced in its use. This study used descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interview, and documentation. The results showed that PAI teachers at SMAN 1 Bogor City have utilized audio-visual media, such as learning videos, Islamic animations, and interactive presentations, in the learning process. The use of these media can clarify the material, increase students' interest in learning, and create a more interactive learning atmosphere. However, this study also found obstacles in the form of limited technology facilities and the unoptimal readiness of some teachers in operating audio-visual media. Therefore, this study recommends the need for increased training for teachers and the provision of adequate facilities and infrastructure so that the utilization of audio-visual media in PAI learning can run more effectively. Abstrak Penggunaan media audio visual dipandang penting untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran dan membantu siswa memahami materi keagamaan secara lebih kontekstual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan media audio visual dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di SMAN 1 Kota Bogor serta mengidentifikasi manfaat dan kendala yang dihadapi dalam penggunaannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru PAI di SMAN 1 Kota Bogor telah memanfaatkan media audio visual, seperti video pembelajaran, animasi Islami, dan presentasi interaktif, dalam proses pembelajaran. Penggunaan media tersebut mampu memperjelas materi, meningkatkan minat belajar siswa, serta menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif. Namun, penelitian ini juga menemukan adanya kendala berupa keterbatasan fasilitas teknologi dan belum optimalnya kesiapan sebagian guru dalam mengoperasikan media audio visual. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini merekomendasikan perlunya peningkatan pelatihan bagi guru serta penyediaan sarana dan prasarana yang memadai agar pemanfaatan media audio visual dalam pembelajaran PAI dapat berjalan lebih efektif.

Abstract

The massive use of TikTok social media among teenagers raises concerns about the moral development of students, especially in the context of relationships with teachers. This study aims to analyze the effect of using TikTok social media on the morals of grade XI students at MAN 1 Bogor Regency. The research approach used is quantitative with survey method. A total of 210 respondents were selected using purposive sampling technique. The research instrument is a five-point Likert scale questionnaire that measures the intensity of TikTok use and indicators of student morals towards teachers. The results of descriptive analysis show that the majority of students have a high intensity of TikTok use, but still show good moral tendencies. The simple linear regression test produced a significance value of 0.000 with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 14.9%, which means that there is a positive and significant influence between the use of TikTok on student morals. This finding confirms that the use of social media, especially TikTok, can contribute to students' character building, depending on the type of content consumed. Therefore, the active role of teachers and parents is needed in guiding students to use social media wisely to support the development of Islamic morals in the digital era. Abstrak Penggunaan media sosial TikTok yang masif di kalangan remaja memunculkan kekhawatiran terhadap perkembangan akhlak peserta didik, terutama dalam konteks hubungan dengan guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan media sosial TikTok terhadap akhlak siswa kelas XI di MAN 1 Kabupaten Bogor. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Sebanyak 210 responden dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket skala Likert lima poin yang mengukur intensitas penggunaan TikTok dan indikator akhlak siswa terhadap guru. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas siswa memiliki intensitas penggunaan TikTok yang tinggi, namun tetap menunjukkan kecenderungan akhlak yang baik. Uji regresi linear sederhana menghasilkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 dengan koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 14,9%, yang berarti terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara penggunaan TikTok terhadap akhlak siswa. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa penggunaan media sosial, khususnya TikTok, dapat berkontribusi terhadap pembentukan karakter siswa, tergantung pada jenis konten yang dikonsumsi. Oleh karena itu, peran aktif guru dan orang tua sangat diperlukan dalam membimbing siswa menggunakan media sosial secara bijak demi mendukung pembinaan akhlak Islami di era digital.

Abstract

Islamic civilization has contributed significantly to the advancement of world science. This statement is revealed from the many Muslim scientists who contributed significantly to various scientific discoveries in every field, which inspired European scientists. In addition, the science developed also has its uniqueness and Islamic characteristics. The number of Muslim scientists and the development of science in the Islamic world raises a question of how science teaching is done in the Islamic world and what kind of science is taught. This research aims to reveal the uniqueness of science teaching applied in the history of Islamic civilization by analyzing the book Muqaddimah by Ibn Khaldun. This research is descriptive qualitative research with a literature review approach. The results found that the uniqueness of science teaching in Islamic civilization is centered on faith in Allah, not denying and involving the role of God in science teaching. The method applied in teaching science is done in stages (at-tadrij), repeating lessons (at-takrir) and developing them with experience and experimentation (at-tajribi). The science teaching strategy applied is establishing an authoritative teacher, understanding the learner's thinking and readiness, emphasizing teaching based on objectives, and simplifying instruction.
