Abstract

Conservation education is one of the noble values that must be preserved and students can maintain the sustainability of biodiversity around them. This study aimed to develop an assessment instrument to determine the profile of conservation education and learning independence on biodiversity. This type of research is R D with a 4-D model. The population of the study is all students of grade 10 of State Senior High School 1 Godean and the samples used are grade 10D and 10F. The data collection technique used a five-question essay instrument sheet to determine conservation education and a Guttman scale questionnaire instrument to determine learning independence. The analysis technique used descriptive quantitative and qualitative. The results of this study were that the instrument was said to be good with revisions according to the construct validator. The validity of the question items showed that the essay questions were said to be valid, reliable, had a discriminatory power between good enough, and the difficulty level ranged from easy to moderate according to the empirical validator. The value of students' conservation education fell into the good category with a complete value achievement of 73%. Students' learning independence is also classified as very high, because all indicators are dominated by very high indicators. These results indicate that the profile of conservation education and learning independence of students at State Senior High School 1 Godean is classified as good and very high

Abstract

This study examines the effect of website-based learning media on students' cognitive learning outcomes in class X Biology subjects. Using a quantitative research design with the Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design model, this study involved 72 SMA Negeri 10 South Konawe, Southeast Sulawesi Indonesia students, who were divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group used website-based learning media, while the control group used PowerPoint media. The results showed a significant increase in the average value of cognitive learning outcomes in the experimental group compared to the control group, with an average N-Gain value of 0.36 (medium criteria) and 0.20 (low criteria), respectively. The use of website-based learning media proved to be more effective in improving learning outcomes because it was able to increase learner involvement, flexibility, and learning independence.

Abstract

Sustainability awareness has become an increasingly important aspect of global education, especially in the face of environmental challenges. This approach to education with sustainable principles is needed to educate the current generation to meet their needs without risking the next generation, including the issue of food waste. The purpose of this study is to describe the profile of sustainability awareness in high school students related to the issue of food waste. This research used a qualitative descriptive method. The instrument used was a questionnaire developed from three aspects of sustainability awareness: behavior and attitude awareness, emotional awareness, and sustainability practice awareness. The results of filling out the questionnaire were analyzed by determining the mean and percentage and then categorizing the level of sustainability awareness. The results showed that 56% of students have awareness related to the issue of food waste at a moderate level. So, it can be concluded that students have an awareness of the value of sustainability at an emotional level without practicing it in everyday life.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of Electronic LKPD Supporting on PjBL on in improving creative thinking skills and environmental literacy of students at SMAN 1 Tarakan. This type of research is research and development (Research and Development) with the ADDIE model (analyze, design, development, implement, evaluate). The analyze stage includes initial analysis, competency analysis, constructional analysis, and content analysis. The design stage includes compiling an electronic LKPD outline and designing learning content in the LKPD. The development stage includes developing data collection instruments. The data collection instruments in this study were a feasibility sheet for expert lecturers, a practicality sheet for biology teachers, a student readability sheet, and pretest and posttest questions for creative thinking skills and environmental literacy. This instrument was developed based on the review of the supervisor, assessment of expert lecturers, biology teachers, and trials on students. The implement stage includes the application of electronic LKPD that has been developed on class X students of SMAN 1 Tarakan. The experimental design used is the pretest-posttest control group design. The evaluate stage includes the form of evaluation carried out at each stage of ADDIE. The data analysis technique uses the manova test. The results of the study show: (1) The electronic LKPD supporting PjBL that was developed meets the criteria of being very valid for use in learning activities with an average value according to media experts of 3.55, material experts of 3.89 and learning experts of 3.96. (2) Practicality with a very practical category for use based on the results of student and teacher responses. (3) Effectiveness based on the Multivariate Analysis of Variance test with a significance level of 5% shows that there is an influence on students' creative thinking skills and environmental literacy after treatment using electronic LKPD supporting PjBL.

Abstract

In the context of implementing the independent curriculum, a differentiated learning approach is an important strategy by giving freedom to teachers and learners. This research aims to analyze various learning models, media, and the impact of implementing biology learning with a differentiated approach to support 21st century skills. The method used is a systematic analysis that follows the PRISMA guidelines. The results showed that the implementation of biology learning based on a differentiated approach can support critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and effective communication skills. The applied learning model includes PBL (Problem Based Learning), PjBL (Project Based Learning), and DL (Discovery Learning), each of which supports content, process, and product differentiation. The learning media used include teaching modules, puzzles, images, educational videos, canva, worksheets, presentation slides, audio, and posters. Thus, the application of appropriate learning models and media in Biology learning in accordance with the diversity and learning needs of students has a positive impact on the development of students' 21st century skills, such as problem analysis, exploration, solutions, and effective communication.
