Abstract

Abstract : The purpose of this research is to develop learning media in the form of explaindio-based learning videos on parabolic motion material in an effort to improve the cognitive abilities of valid high school students' physics. The development of learning videos is carried out as a solution to the difficulties of learning physics, as well as the lack of use of learning media in the physics learning process. The type of research used is research and development (R&D) using the ADDIE model which consists of five stages, namely the analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation stages. As for the ADDIE model research development scheme, the analysis stages are divided into needs analysis, problem analysis, and curriculum analysis. There are two design stages, namely the making of the History board and the making of the Story board. As for the development stage (Development) is the media development and validation stage. The validation aspect consists of aspects of learning theory, aspects of learning materials, and aspects of media. The data collection instrument was in the form of a validation sheet given to three validators. The data analysis technique is by calculating the average score of the validation assessment until all items are worth 3. The results of the second stage validation of all statement items in each aspect have received a minimum score of 3 for each aspect. The results showed that the explaindio-based learning video on parabolic motion material in an effort to improve the cognitive physics abilities of high school students that was developed met the valid criteria from the validated aspects including aspects of learning theory with an average score of 3.84, aspects of learning materials with an average score 3.38, and the media aspect with an average score of 3.4. So from the scores that have been described, the learning videos using the explaindio application are valid and suitable for use in the learning processKey Word : Learning Videos, Explaindio, Parabolic Motion

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to describe the level of implementation scientific approach in science based on Curriculum 2013 according to the perception of 9th grade student of SMP Negeri Pekanbaru. The research use survey method. The population is students of 9th grade SMP Negeri Pekanbaru, namely: SMPN 1 Pekanbaru, SMPN 6 Pekanbaru, and SMPN 23 Pekanbaru the totally is 771 students. The sample use Slovin with the error level is 5% of the population, while the sample is 263 students. The results of research the level of implementation scientific approach in science based on Curriculum 2013 according to the perception of 9th grade student of SMP Negeri Pekanbaru the score is 2.73 in the category quite well. It can be concluded that the application of the scientific approach to the learning process at schools with the maximum has not been done. It is caused by several factors, namely: the limited time, limited infrastructure such as infocus in the classroom, the teacher is less a creative learning.Key Words: The Nature Of Learning Physics, Curriculum 2013, Scientific Approach

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to know student’s attitude toward science in physics learning through the comic media in the light subject. The method used in this research was quasi experimental method with non-equivalent control group design. This study was taken place in SMP Negeri 21 Pekanbaru with the sample of research consisted of 82 eighth grade students in the school year of 2015/2016 who devided become two classes, exsperiment and control class. The instrument data collection in this study is questionnaire of attitudes toward science which consists of 28 statements. Analysis of the data in this study is descriptive analysis to categorize the average score of student’s attitude toward science and analysis of the increase (gain) based on the result of pretest and postest. Based on data analysis, the result of this study obtained an average score of student’s attitude toward science in the experiment class and control class are in high category. For pretest’s score in experiment class, the average Score of 2,90 and control class is 3,01. For score of postest in experiment class, the average Score of 2,95 and control class is 2,94. As for the increase (gain) the average score of student’s attitude toward science in the experiment class in low category with a value of 0,05 and control class is not increased. This result show the use of comic media in physics learning on the light subject can increase student’s attitude toward science.Key Words: Atittude toward science, comic media

Abstract

Abstract: One of the things that supports the success of the learning process is the presence of the right learning devices. Physics learning is usually monotonous with the presence of many formulas, so that students have difficulty in understanding the concept, as in equilibrium and rotational dynamics matter. The low understanding of physics concepts is also influenced by learning media that are not attractive to students, especially during online learning. Solutions are needed to overcome these problems, one of which is by applying e-learning as an innovation in the learning process. The device developed in this study is an e-learning learning devices using Chamilo in equilibrium and rotational dynamics, consisting of Learning Plans (RPP), Student Worksheets (LKPD), and Learning Assessments. The purpose of this research is to produce valid e-learning learning devices. The type of research carried out is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE development model which is carried out only until the development stage. The type of data obtained is quantitative in the form of validity values. The data collection instrument used was in the form of a learning device validation sheet. The data were analyzed descriptively to determine the validity of the learning tools. The results showed that the e-learning learning tools using Chamilo were declared valid and suitable for use in learning as a whole.Key words: e-learning, learning devices, Chamilo

Abstract

Abstrak: The purpose of this research is to describe students’ learning result by using learning active strategy of Rolled. The type of this research was a pre- experimental research, with design of Intact- Group Comparison. The populations of this research were seven grade students of junior high school 40 Pekanbaru which total number were 176 students. The writer took 2 classes as the sample by using random-sampling technique which was using lottery to decide control class and experimental class. The data on this research is in form of students’ scores taught by using learning active strategy of Rolled and it is analyzed on descriptive and inferential. The result of the research shows that there is a difference on students’ learning achievement between experimental class and control class. Students’ comprehension taught by using learning active strategy of Rolled was 72, 16 % and students’ comprehension taught by using conventional strategy was 61, 14%.  Based on the data, can be concludes that learning active strategy of Rolled  improves students learning result in  physics on science at the seven grade students’ of junior high school 40 Pekanbaru.

Abstract

Abstrack: This research aimed to describe and find out the improvement of the students’ motivation learning achievement by using learning active strategy of Rolled. Type of this research is a quasi-experimental, with nonequivalent control group design. The subject of this research is students class VII at SMPN 40 Pekanbaru, total of 176 students as divide into two class, experimental class and control class. The data in this research is a score of motivation before and after learning physics by implementation of learning active strategy of rolled model with descriptive and inferential analysis.Then, measured the improvement of the students’ motivation by normalized gain (gain-N) and t-test. The descriptive analysis score motivation of students at experimental class in middle category and increase in the middle category with N-Gain 0.49, and the control class in the middle category with N-Gain 0,37. This proved by inferential analysis, the analyzed shows t(44) = 7.409 means p < 0.05, then Ho is rejected. Which means that there are difference in motivation of learning between experiment class and control class. It can therefore be concluded that the implementation of  learning active strategy of rolled to students’ motivation  learning achievement in  physics on science at the seven grade of junior high school 40 pekanbar.

Abstract

Abstract:The learning device developed is a physics learning device using the Argument ICARE (Introduction, Connect, Apply, Reflect, Extend) model to improve cognitive learning outcomes of class X SMA student on momentum and impulse, consisting of a learning outcomes test instrument. The purpose of this study was to produce a physics learning device using a valid Argument ICARE (Introduction, Connect, Apply, Reflect, Extend) model and was used to improve cognitive learning outcomes of class X SMA students on momentum adn impulse. This reseach is expected to be a reference for making innovative learning tools and can be used as a foundation in the teaching and learning objectives can be achieved. This type of research is a Research and Development (R&D) using the 4D model. This research is only limited to the development stage. The research instrument used was the RPP validation assessment sheet, LKPD, and the cognitive learning outcome test instrument used by the validator to assess learning tools. Data analysis in this study used descriptive analysis, by calculating the validity score of each indicator of the learning device. The results showed that the physics learning device using the ICARE (Introduction, Connect, Apply, Reflect, Extend) model was declared valid with the overall score of the device being 3.15 with a high category, so it was declarated feasible to be used for teaching in class X SMA in an effort to improve student cognitive learning outcomes on momentum and impulse.Key Words: Physics Learning Tools, ICARE Model, Cognitive Learning Outcomes, Momentum and Impulse.

Abstract

Abstract: The learning tool developed is a group investigation model learning device (Groups Investigation) on sound wave material for junior high school students, consisting of a Lesson Plan (RPP), Student Worksheet (LKPD), and Learning Outcomes Test. Learning Science Physics and validating learning tools for the Group Investigation model (Groups Investigation) on sound wave material. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) with a 4-D model design. The research instrument used is the RPP validation assessment sheet, LKPD and Learning Outcomes Test which is used by validators to assess learning tools. Data analysis in this researcher uses descriptive analysis, in a way calculate the validity score of each learning indicator. The average validity of the LKPD is 3.3 with a very high category. the average validity of the Learning Outcomes Test is 3.4 with a very high category, so that the overall average of learning tools is 3.36 with a very high category. Thus, the learning device for the Natural Sciences Physics model of the group investigation (Groups Investigation) is declared valid and suitable for use in sound wave material for junior high school students.Keywords: Physics science learning tools, Group Investigation model(Groups Investigation)

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to describe student’s proses skill with a Guided-Discovery Model on matter of temperature and heat. Population in this study were all 7th of class in SMP Negeri 40 Pekanbaru. Sample were taken from 2 homogeneous classes, then randomly determined experimental classes that applied Guided-Discovery model and conventional classes. The type of this research is quasi experiments by the design of intact group comparison; the instrument used is a process skill test. Data collection techniques used is descriptive and inferential analysis. The results of the study state that there are differences in student process skills between the experimental class and the conventional class. Average absorption of experimental class 71,1 while the conventional class with an average of 56. Thus the implementation of Guided-Discovery model can improve process skills.Key Words: Guided-Discovery, Process Skills, Temperature and Heat

Abstract

Abstract: This research was aimed to describe the level of sains generic skill at the second year students of MIA program of SMA 8 Pekanbaru toward student’s competency of calor material and it’s movement. This research was a survey research. The result of the data analysis used descriptive analysis which described the level of student’s sains generic skill. The subject of this research was 76 students of MIA program at the second year. The data gotten from this research was in average percentages of the student’s level of sains generic skill in solving the physics phenomenon. This instrument was developed based on the indicators of sains generic skill. Then, the data was categorized based on the level of sains generic skill category namely directly observation, non-directly observation, language symbolic, logical inference, cause effect relationship, modeling of math, awareness of big scale, and concept construction. Based on the data analysis showed that the average percentages of each indicators as follows: 75,72% for directly observation, 47,07 % for non-directly observation, 69,01 % for language symbolic, 78,91 % for logical inference, 68,13 % for cause effect relationship, 69,54 % for modeling of math, 58,49 % for awareness of big scale, and 65,07 % for concept construction. The overall percentages of the students’ generic sains skill was 67,16% categorized into high level. The highest percentage was 72, 37 % and the lowest percentage was 27,63%.Key words: Sains generic skill, Solving problem, Logical thinking.
