Abstract

The history of the Pelintau Pencak Silat tradition is not widely known by the young generation, especially school students. This research aims to explore the history and development of Pencak Silat Pelintau and its relevance as a source of learning local history. This research uses historical methods with a qualitative approach: research steps, namely heuristics, verification, interpretation, and historiography. The research results show that Pencak Silat Pelintau is an integral part of the history and culture of the Tamiang people, which not only functions as a martial art but also reflects strong historical values. As a cultural heritage recognized as Indonesia’s Intangible Cultural Heritage (WBTB), this tradition is closely related to the Tamiang people’s struggle against colonialism. Therefore, its use in learning local history becomes relevant in helping students understand the nation's history through a regional cultural perspective. The integration of Pencak Silat Pelintau in the curriculum can be done by preparing teaching modules based on local culture and applying experience-based learning methods, such as direct observation, interviews with cultural actors, and analysis of historical documents. With an innovative and contextual approach, Pencak Silat Pelintau can be an effective, engaging and meaningful learning medium for the younger generation to understand the history, culture and heroic values ​​inherited from their ancestors.

Abstract

This study examines the practice of national integration education in post-conflict Aceh, focusing on the materials, approaches, and challenges faced in its implementation. The Aceh conflict (1975–2004) left deep social, economic, and psychological scars, necessitating educational interventions to foster unity and prevent disintegration. National integration education aims to cultivate values of tolerance, solidarity, and social justice among students, aligning with multicultural and peace education principles while emphasizing national cohesion. Using qualitative methods, including interviews and observations with selected teachers and students, this research explores how national integration education is taught in schools. Findings indicate that while the program has successfully raised students' conflict sensitivity and reinforced peace-building values, challenges remain in pedagogical approaches and institutional support. The study highlights the importance of experiential and contextually relevant learning both inside and outside the classroom to strengthen national integration. The study contributes to the discourse on post-conflict education by advocating for a more structured and inclusive approach to national integration education, ensuring it addresses historical divisions and promotes lasting social harmony.

Abstract

Aceh is a region that has a rich historical and cultural heritage, which reflects its civilization and identity from time to time. However, the threat to the preservation of these historical relics is increasing over time, especially due to natural factors, urbanization, and social changes. Digitalization has emerged as a potential solution to address these challenges. The digitization of historical and cultural heritage offers a new way to preserve, access, and promote Aceh's cultural heritage more broadly. This research aims to explore the role of digital technology in the preservation of Aceh's cultural heritage, as well as its impact on local and global communities. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study on the Aceh Historical Trail Map (acehhistorytrailmap.id). Data were collected through in-depth interviews with stakeholders, document analysis, and observation of platform usage. The analysis was conducted thematically to identify the benefits of digitalization, the technology used, and challenges in preserving cultural heritage. The study focuses on historical sites in East Aceh, such as Perlak and Idi, as the research locus. Through the analysis of case studies from the historical heritage digitization project in Aceh, this study examines the effectiveness of digital devices such as digital imaging, virtual tours, and online platforms in documenting and disseminating important elements of Acehnese culture, such as: artifacts and historical sites. The results of this research are expected to provide insight into effective strategies for cultural heritage preservation through technology, as well as the potential for collaboration between stakeholders in realizing sustainable digital transformation for the preservation of Aceh's historical heritage.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam merancang, mengembangkan, dan mengimplementasikan media pembelajaran yang interaktif, inovatif, dan sesuai dengan tuntutan pembelajaran. Program ini penting untuk dilakukan sebagai upaya untuk mengatasi tantangan yang dihadapi oleh para guru di sekolah tersebut, yang sering mengalami hambatan dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi digital ke dalam proses pembelajaran. Metode pelatihan mencakup berbagai tahapan, mulai dari perizinan, persiapan, pelaksanaan yang berlangsung dari 12-14 Juni 2025, hingga tahap monitoring dan evaluasi. Dalam pelatihan ini, sebanyak 40 guru mengikuti sesi-sesi yang meliputi dasar-dasar penggunaan fitur-fitur Edpuzzle. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan pre-test dan post-test untuk menilai peningkatan pemahaman peserta. Dengan peningkatan pemahaman sebesar 32% yang terukur dari hasil pre-test dan post-test, pelatihan ini efektif dalam memperkuat keterampilan guru untuk menciptakan materi pembelajaran yang interaktif dan menarik secara digital. Pelatihan ini mampu menjawab kebutuhan guru dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi digital ke dalam proses pembelajaran sehari-hari sehingga meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran. Hasil pelatihan tidak hanya menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan teknis guru, tetapi juga membangun sikap positif terhadap penggunaan media digital sebagai sarana pembelajaran yang efektif dan inovatif.

Abstract

Tradisi lisan Nandong saat ini menghadapi tantangan serius dalam kelangsungannya. Hal tersebut disebabkan oleh kurangnya minat generasi muda, khususnya kalangan pelajar SMA, untuk mempelajari dan melestarikan tradisi ini. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merekonstruksi dinamika tradisi lisan Nandong di Kabupaten Simeulue dengan melacak perkembangan dan perubahannya dari masa ke masa, serta menganalisis relevansi tradisi lisan Nandong terhadap pembelajaran sejarah terintegrasi budaya di Sekolah Menengah Atas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode library research dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan data primer dan skunder. Hasil menunjukan, tradisi ini memiliki keunikan yang terletak pada kemampuannya mengabadikan peristiwa penting seperti bencana tsunami 1907 melalui syair "Smong" yang terbukti efektif sebagai media mitigasi bencana lintas generasi. Seiring perkembangan zaman, Nandong menunjukkan daya adaptasinya dengan menyerap unsur-unsur modern dalam bahasa dan tema, sambil tetap mempertahankan struktur dan nilai-nilai tradisional yang menjadi ciri khasnya. Pengakuan Nandong sebagai Warisan Budaya Tak Benda Indonesia pada tahun 2016 semakin memperkuat posisinya sebagai sumber pembelajaran yang bernilai. Dalam konteks pendidikan sejarah, khususnya untuk materi Pemahaman Sumber Sejarah (kelas X) dan Sejarah Lokal (kelas XI), Nandong menawarkan pendekatan pembelajaran yang kontekstual dan bermakna. Melalui dinamika Nandong, siswa tidak hanya belajar memahami historiografi lisan, tetapi juga mengembangkan perspektif bahwa sejarah merupakan proses dinamis yang terus berkembang.

Abstract

Globalization impacts the younger generation, especially students who do not know the history of their culture. This study aims to reconstruct the history of the pantun reciprocal tradition that lives in the Malay community of Aceh Tamiang and to analyze the relevance in history learning at the high school level. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis has three steps: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The study results show that the Tamiang Pantun reciprocal tradition has existed since the 16th century. Starting from scholars and clerics who created prose, poetry, and oral traditions such as pantun and popular poetry, there was a change during the colonial period due to cultural acculturation between Malay and Javanese cultures. Other changes occurred, such as pantun being delivered singly in the past and tended to be monologic. Now, people are developing the Pantun reciprocal tradition as a form of two-way interaction that is more communicative and interesting. The Tamiang Pantun reciprocal tradition is relevant in developing local culture-based history learning. The tradition of responding to pantun in history learning is relevant to phase E (grade X), with the main topic in this phase being the development of Islamic Kingdoms in Indonesia, which includes discussions on the process of Islamization, the role of local figures, and the social and cultural values ​​that developed during that period.

Abstract

Perubahan proses pembelajaran pembelajaran yang berbasis digitalisasi, perlu peningkatan peranan guru untuk menentukan peningkatan mutu kualitas pembelajaran di kelas. Ketersediaan online platform seperti Google Slide, Slido dan Quizizz dapat diakses secara gratis. Penggunaan media online platform akan membantu guru dalam menyiapkan slide presentasi materi pembelajaran pada saat mengajar dikelas, melakukan pembelajaran yang menstimulus peserta didik untuk aktif dalam berpikir dan menggorganisasikan tes evaluasi hasil pembelajaran melalui game yang menarik. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) ini, untuk memperkuat penguasaan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi bagi guru SMA Negeri 3 Kejuruan Muda, Kabupaten Aceh Tamiang dalam menggunakan, mendesain dan mengembangkan media pembelajaran digital berbasis platform online. Metode kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat  ada 3 tahapan utama: (1) Persiapan, meliputi: Focus Group Discussion (FGD) sosialisasi kegiatan PKM, persiapan alat dan perangkat Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK), (2) Pelaksanaan meliputi: Pelatihan desain media digital online platform terdiri dari Google Slide, Slido dan Quizizz, (3) Monitoring dan Evaluasi program, meliputi: Monitoring dan Evaluasi keberhasilan dan Keberlanjutan Program PKM. Hasil Pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) guru-guru memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru-guru dalam menggunakan, mendesain dan mampu untuk menerapkan media digital berbasis online platform seperti Google Slide, Slido dan Quizizz pada saat pembelajaran dikelas. Kata Kunci: Pelatihan, Media Digital, Online Platfrom

The Dutch colonial presence in the eastern coastal region of Aceh had a significant influence on infrastructure development and cultural changes in the area. The buildings left over from the Dutch Colonial period on the East Coast of Aceh are physical evidence of the interaction between the Dutch and the people of Aceh at that time. Therefore, these relics must be protected and preserved. A lack of public understanding of the importance of preserving cultural heritage can result in neglect and lack of support for the preservation of these buildings. For this reason, the aim of this research is to identify buildings left over from the Dutch Colonial period in the cities on the East coast of Aceh, such as East Aceh, Langsa City, and Aceh Tamiang. The research used in this research is historical or historical research methods. The steps in historical research are heuristics, verification, interpretation, and historiography. As a result of the research that has been carried out, a number of locations of historical heritage building objects were found scattered at several points in East Aceh, Langsa City, and Aceh Tamiang. In East Aceh, the East Aceh Regent's Hall and the Water Storage Reservoir are historical heritage sites. Langsa City also has several historical heritage buildings, such as the Balee Juang Building, SD Negeri 1 Langsa, PDAM, Hall, Satpol PP and WH Building, and Langsa Post Office. Apart from that, in Aceh Tamiang, there is a Regent's pavilion building and a Dutch rubber plantation industrial building, which are important historical relics. These historical remains provide an overview of the cultural and historical heritage of the area.Kehadiran Kolonial Belanda di wilayah pesisir Timur Aceh membawa pengaruh yang signifikan dalam pembangunan infrastruktur dan perubahan budaya di daerah tersebut. Bangunan-bangunan peninggalan masa Kolonial Belanda di Pesisir Timur Aceh menjadi bukti fisik dari interaksi antara Belanda dan masyarakat Aceh pada masa itu. Oleh karena itu, peninggalan tersebut harus dilindungi dan dilestarikan. Kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat tentang pentingnya melestarikan warisan budaya dapat mengakibatkan penelantaran dan kurangnya dukungan untuk pelestarian bangunan-bangunan tersebut. Untuk itu tujuan penelitian ini yakni mengindetifikasi bangunan-bangunan peninggalan masa Kolonial Belanda di Kota pesisir Timur Aceh seperti di Aceh Timur, Kota Langsa dan Aceh Tamiang. Penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian sejarah atau historis. Langkah-langkah penelitian sejarah yaitu, heuristik, verifikasi, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, ditemukan sejumlah lokasi objek bangunan peninggalan sejarah yang tersebar di beberapa titik di Aceh Timur, Kota Langsa, dan Aceh Tamiang. Di Aceh Timur, terdapat Pendopo Bupati Aceh Timur dan Waduk Penampung Air sebagai peninggalan bersejarah. Kota Langsa juga memiliki beberapa bangunan peninggalan sejarah seperti Gedung Balee Juang, SD Negeri 1 Langsa, PDAM, Pendopo, Gedung Satpol PP dan WH, dan Kantor Pos Langsa. Selain itu, di Aceh Tamiang terdapat gedung pendopo Bupati dan  bangunan industri perkebunan karet Belanda yang menjadi peninggalan sejarah yang penting. Peninggalan sejarah tersebut memberikan gambaran tentang warisan budaya dan sejarah daerah tersebut.

Abstract

This Community Service Activity (PKM) aims to increase the competency in using Canva at SMA Negeri 3 Vocational Youth. This program was designed to overcome the challenges teachers at these schools face, who often experience obstacles in integrating digital technology into the learning process. Most teachers in these schools have not been optimal in designing learning media based on the Canva Platform, resulting in a lack of innovation in delivering material in class. The training method includes various stages, starting from licensing, preparation, and implementation, which will take place from 8 to 10 August 2024, to the monitoring and evaluation stage. In this training, 40 teachers took part in sessions covering the basics of using Canva, graphic design techniques for learning, and strategies for integrating technology into the curriculum. The pre-test and post-test were evaluated to assess the increase in participants' understanding. Evaluation results show an increase in participants' understanding of 38%, which shows that this training effectively improves teachers' digital skills. This increase has an impact on improving individual teachers' abilities and can potentially improve the quality of learning in schools as a whole. Continuing this training can encourage the development of teacher professionalism in facing future technological challenges and create an educational culture that is more open to digital innovation.
