Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran Guided Discovery pada materi cermin terhadap keterampilan literasi sains siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Pra-experimental Design dengan rancangan One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah 29 siswa kelas VIII pada salah satu SMPN di Surabaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran terlaksana sangat baik dengan persentase keterlaksanaan pembelajaran sebesar 94,44%. Aktivitas peserta didik menunjukkan kriteria sangat baik dengan persentase hasil sebesar 84,60%. Rata-rata keterampilan literasi sains peserta didik berdasarkan hasil Pretest mendapatkan skor sebesar 30 yang meningkat menjadi 81 pada hasil Posttest. Hasil N-Gain Score yang diperoleh yaitu sebesar 0,72 dengan kategori tinggi. Penerapan model Guided Discovery pada materi cermin memperoleh‟respon positif dari peserta didik dengan perolehan rata-rata respon peserta didik sebesar 96% dengan kriteria baik sekali yang menunjang tumbuhnya keterampilan literasi sains peserta didik. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, model Guided Discovery pada materi cermin dapat meningkatkan keterampilan literasi sains peserta didik.Kata Kunci: Guided Discovery, Literasi Sains, Cermin, Level Literasi Sains

Abstract

This study aims to describe the improvement of students' critical thinking skills by applying guided inquiry learning model. This research used pre-experimental design with One-Group Pre-test-Post-test design type. This study was conducted at JHS 1 Sidoarjo because of the students' critical thinking skills were low and guided inquiry learning model has never been applied. The method of this research is descriptive quantitative. Observation of guided inquiry implementation, critical thinking skills test and student response questionnaires were data collection methods that used in this study. The research results obtained data: (1) The implementation of guided inquiry in 7F and 7G obtained score percentage above 81% with excellent category. (2) There was an increase in the percentage of achievement from each indicator of critical thinking skills. An increase of critical thinking skills in 7F and 7G were 0.75 and 0.82 with high category based on n-gain score. (3) The results of the response of students showed a positive response as evidenced by the results of questionnaire percentage 93% and 96% with excellent category. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the guided inquiry learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills on energy in life system topic.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the discovery learning model during online learning in improving students' science process skills. This research used pre-experimental design with a research draft of one group pretest-posttest. This study used two class subjects, namely class VII-C as many as 30 students and class VII-D as many as 30 students which is conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Sidoarjo. The data collection technique in the form of description questions test was related to science process skills which is given before and after learning. It showed that there is an increase in the completeness of science process skills, the percentage and the n-gain on each indicator of science process skills, as well as the n-gain test on the results of the pretest and posttest in both classes with the high category. The n-gain result in VII-C class was 0.77, while VII-D class was 0.79. Therefore, based on the data above, it can be concluded that the discovery learning model during online learning can improve science process skills.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the STEM components (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) contained in the VIII grade science textbook on pressure chapter. The research design used is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The research object used in this study was the science textbook with three different publishers, that are Kemendikbud, Erlangga, and Quadra. The research instrument used in this study was an observation sheet arranged based on STEM components. The data collection technique was conducted by observing three types of science books related to the STEM component in the pressure chapter. The data analysis technique used in this research is content analysis. This study adds up the emergence of STEM components in textbooks, then presented in percentage form, after that determines the average percentage of STEM components analyzed from science textbooks, and finally provides descriptive analysis based on the data that has been obtained in each science textbook. The results of this study indicate that the three books analyzed contain STEM components in them. The average percentage of the emergence of STEM components in these three books is the science component of 56,7%, the technology component of 10,7%, the engineering component of 16,2% and the mathematics component of 16,3%. The conclusion of this research is the three textbooks already include STEM components and are suitable for use in facing the challenges of 21st century learning.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the improvement of students' written communication skills using discovery learning learning models on global warming materials. The type of research used is experimental. The subject of the study was smpn 58 Surabaya grade VII-A students who numbered 30. The research instruments are written communication skills test sheets totaling five description questions, observation sheets of discovery learning implementation, and student response questionnaires. Data collection techniques are carried out by test, observation, and questionnaire methods. The research data was analyzed through the results of the implementation of the discovery learning model, written communication skills test sheet, and student response questionnaire data. The results of the implementation of learning at the first meeting and the second meeting obtained a percentage between 93.75%-100% with an excellent category, N-Gain score on the indicator describes the object scored 0.90 with a high category, the indicator applies the concept of knowledge appropriately and according to the material and clarifies with supporting sentences obtain a score of 0.54 with a moderate category, indicators make tables and graphs score 0.81 with a high category, indicators analyze and process observation data through tables and graphs get a score of 0.82 with a high category, and indicators write the results of activities of an event obtained a score of 0.98 with a high category, N-Gain scores for all indicators of written communication skills were obtained 0.81 with a high category, and in the questionnaire the student response obtained an overall average of 86.67% aspects with excellent categories. The conclusion of this study is that learning with discovery learning model can improve students' written communication skills based on the average N-Gain score of all indicators of written communication skills.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of analyzing students' science process skills in the online learning process at SMPN 58 Surabaya. The research method used in this research was descriptive survey with a quantitative approach. The subjects determination in this research were purposive sampling. Subjects in this research were 36 students of VIII grade at SMPN 58 Surabaya. The research instruments used were science process skills test sheets. Data collection techniques in this research were test. The test technique uses multiple choice questions. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis. The results of students' science process skills such as student’s observing skills got 81.94% with high category, classifying skills got 69.44% with high category, predicting skills got 25.00% with low category, formulating skills’ problems got 37.50% with medium category, the skill to formulate hypotheses got 45.83% with medium category, the skill to determine the variable got 8.33% with the low category, investigating skills got 18.36% with the low category, data analysis skills got 16.67% with the low category, concluding skills got a percentage 18.05% with low category, communicating skills got 4.05% with the low category. The conclusion of this research was observing skills got the high category, and the lowest category was communicating skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterampilan proses sains siswa SMP setelah menggunakan lembar kerja berorientasi pendekatan proses sains. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yaitu penelitian yang mendeskripsikan hasil keterampilan proses sains yang dilatihkan pada siswa SMP Al Falah Ketintang Surabaya dan siswa SMP Al Falah Deltasari Sidoarjo dengan menggunakan Lembar Kerja yang berorientasi pendekatan keterampilan proses. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan proses sains siswa mengalami peningkatan setelah menggunakan Lembar Kerja yang berorientasi pendekatan keterampilan proses.Kata Kunci : lembar kerja siswa, keterampilan proses sains

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan lembar kerja mahasiswa (LKM) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains mahasiswa Jurusan IPA FMIPA Unesa. Kelayakan dari LKM yang dikembangkan yang diukur berdasarkan validitas teoritis dan empirisnya. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan dalam mengembangkan LKM yang mengacu pada model Plomp (1997), yang terdiri dari fase investigasi awal (prelimenary investigation), fase desain (design), fase realisasi/konstruksi (realization/construc-tion), dan fase tes, evaluasi dan revisi (test, evaluation and revision), dan implementasi (implementation). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa LKM literasi yang telah dikembangkan layak digunakan yang didasarkan pada validitas teoritis dan empirisnya. Berdasarkan validitas teoritis, LKM secara isi, konstruksi, dan keterbacaan menunjukkan hasil baik, yaitu kategori sangat kuat untuk validasi isi dan kuat untuk validasi konstruksi. Validitas empiris dari LKM juga menunjukkan hasil positif, yaitu adanya peningkatan kemampuan literasi sains mahasiswa setelah diberikan LKM literasi pada mata kuliah IPBA dengan persentase ketercapaian literasi sains mahasiswa sebesar 100%. Kata Kunci : LKM, Literasi Sains.

Abstract

Keputusan Menteri Pendayagunaan Aparatur Negara dan Reformasi Birokrasi Nomor 16/2009 tentang Jabatan Fungsional Guru dan Angka kreditnya salah satunya, diatur bahwa kegiatan guru harus meliputi unsur utama Pengembangan keprofesian berkelanjutan, yang meliputi: (1) pengembangan diri; (2) publikasi ilmiah; dan (3) karya inovatif. Dengan memperhatikan unsur-unsur kegiatan yang harus dipenuhi oleh guru di atas, di mana guru dituntut untuk bisa menghasilkan karya ilmiah (inovatif) dan mempublikasikannya, maka Tim Pelaksana PKM bermaksud untuk mengetahui kemampuan guru-guru IPA SMP di Kabupaten Jombang dalam menyusun proposal penelitian tindakan kelas. Metode dalam kegiatan PKM ini meliputi: memberi informasi tentang PTK dan workshop pendampingan penyusunan proposal PTK.

Abstract

Perkembangan kebun rakyat dan industri olahan di daerah sentra produksi, dapat memberikan peluang baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung terhadap perluasan kesempatan berusaha dan kesempatan kerja. Hasil survey lokasi pada wilayah Lidah Kulon RT 05 dan RW 02 didapatkan adanya banyak kebun kering yang sebagian besar ditumbuhi dengan tanaman pisang, sementara daerah Jagir Sidomukti dekat dengan pasar Mangga Dua, DTC Wonokromo dan Pasar Bendul. Ketiga pasar ini merupakan sentra perkulakan pisang skala besar. Permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra adalah Sebagian besar ibu-ibu rumah tangga di daerah Lidah Kulon RT 05 dan RW 02 Lakarsantri ini mengisi waktunya hanya dengan melakukan pekerjaan rutin rumah tangga dan selanjutnya menghabiskan waktu dengan mengobrol bersama kerabat atau tetangga sekitar atau berdiam diri di rumah menunggu anak pulang sekolah dan suami pulang kerja. Ibu-ibu di daerah Jagir Sidomukti tidak mempunyai kegiatan apapun sehingga memiliki banyak waktu luang yang tidak termanfaatkan dan juga tidak mengetahui apa saja kelebihan dan potensi yang terpendam dari tanaman pisang dan bagaimana mereka bisa memanfaatkan potensi tersebut agar lebih berdaya guna dan menghasilkan produk yang bernilai jual seperti pembuatan sari buah pisang dan nata de banana skin limbah kulit pisang. Solusinya, mitra satu dan mitra dua, keduanya dilatih cara pengolahan buah pisang menjadi produk sari buah pisang dan pembuatan produk nata de banana dari kulit pisang sebagai alternatif wirausaha baru di wilayah mereka. Hasil dari pelaksanaan IbM menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pelatihan dianggap penting.
