Abstract

Water bikes can be used as one of the vehicles in water tourism areas such as Ulee Lheue. Water bikes are used as a medium for surface transportation and fishing. Of course, this can increase the enthusiasm of those who visit the tourist destination of Ulee Lheue on weekends and holidays. High enthusiasm can increase the number of tourists, which increases income and sustains the economy of people around Ulee Lheue. Personal watercraft are constructed using fibrous pins or floats, using propeller drives, and using bicycle frames, usually modified. The steering wheel has a plate at the front and is designed to control the direction of rotation (left and right). A good community economy is expected to deliver the goodness of the community itself. Therefore, watercraft manufacturing activities must be carried out in Ulee Lheue. The implementation of this activity takes place in his two phases of implementing the activity, including creating the water bike design and manufacturing the water bike frame. The existence of water bikes can be used as an alternative to water tourism like Ulee Lheue. Water bikes are used as a medium for surface transportation and fishing. Of course, this can increase the enthusiasm of the community to visit her Ulee Lheue, a tourist destination. In fact, this water he slide is a popular ride for visitors wanting to explore lakes, reservoirs, and artificial ponds.

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this research was to examine the sediment grains size in Lake Laut Tawar. This research was done during Mei to June 2012. Five sampling stationse were determined  i.e. Toweran, Bintang, Klitu, Boom and Ujung Mumpar. Dry sieving analysis method was used in this study with different diameter stage sediment sieve  such as 4.75 mm, 1.7 mm, 250 µm,  850 µm, 150 µm, 0.2 µm, and 0.063 µm. The data was then weighed and calculated for percentages. The results showed that the sediment in Toweran station was dominated by pebble and medium sand; in Bintang station was dominated by pebble and coarse sand; in Klitu station was dominated by pebble and medium sand; in Boom station was dominated of colloid and remaining shells; and in Ujung Mumpar station was dominated of pebble and coarse sand. Generally, the sedimen type was pebble and coarse sand.Keywords: The dry sieving method; Stage sieve; Sediment grain size Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ukuran butir sedimen di Danau Laut Tawar. Penelitian berlangsung pada Bulan Mei sampai Juni 2012. Lokasi sampling terbagi menajdi beberapa stasiun;  Stasiun Toweran, Bintang, Klitu, Boom dan Ujung Mumpar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sedimen di Stasiun Toweran dominan kerakal dan batu yang diikuti pasir sedang, di Stasiun Bintang dominan kerakal dan batu yang diikuti pasir sangat kasar, di Stasiun Klitu dominan kerakal dan batu yang diikuti pasir sedang, di Stasiun Boom dominan koloid yang diikuti sisa kerang-kerangan dan di Stasiun Ujung Mumpar dominan kerakal dan batu yang diikuti pasir sangat kasar. Abstract

Abstrak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui distribusi sedimen dan penyebaran sedimen di Perairan Pantai Anoi Itam Sabang. Sampel sedimen permukaan diambil pada Bulan April 2017 dari sepuluh stasiun yang tersebar di sepanjang daerah intertidal. Tubecore berdiameter 2,5 inch diaplikasikan untuk mengambil sedimen hingga ketebalan 20 cm dari permukaan. Semua sampel dianalisis menggunakan saringan bertingkat dengan menggunakan metode ayak basah. Persentase kehadiran yang tinggi banyak dijumpai pada ayakan berukuran 1φ atau fraksi pasir kasar, sejalan juga dengan hasil analisis rataan ukuran butiran menunjukkan kisaran pada rentang pasir kasar, hanya stasiun 6 yang rataannya berada pada rentang pasir kasar (coarse sand). Tipe sedimen yang dijumpai adalah pasir sedikit berkerikil (Slightly Gravelly Sand) dan pasir berkerikil (Gravelly Sand).Kata Kunci: Pantai Anoi Itam, Sedimen, Distribusi Sedimen

Abstract

The Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer method (AAS) and UV-Vis Spectrophotometer method are often used in analyzing elements and compounds in water and sediment. The comparative method of AAS and UV-Vis analysis in sediments in this article is studied to see the accuracy of the equipment used and the efficiency of the resulting analysis. Analysis of the comparative method of phosphate analysis in coastal sediments shows differences and similarities in the use of the two instruments used even though the methods used based on the results of the review do not show significant differences. Methodologically, various types of methods can be carried out to analyze coastal sediment phosphates. The UV-Vis spectrophotometric method is generally more widely used than the AAS method. For a small number of sediment samples, the ASS method is more efficient than the UV-Vis method; however, UV-Vis is more accurate for dissolved samples because less phosphate is released when identified than the AAS method. Based on this, the AAS method is more effective in analyzing phosphate sediments in coastal areas than the UV-Vis method, but the UV-Vis method for wet samples is more accurate.Keywords:Coastal SedimentPhosphateSpectrophotometerUV-VisAAS

Abstract

Abstract. The objective of the present study was to evaluate the distribution of sediments in the estuary of Kuala Gigieng. The study was done on Mei to June 2011 and the sampling was conducted in three areas of estuary i.e. downestuarine, middle-estuarine and river section of Kuala Gigieng. The wet sieving analysis method was used in this study. The data was then weighed and the percentage was calculated and classified based on the Wentworth scale. The results showed that (1) the mean grain size of sediment of each area was 0.50 mm, 0.65 mm and 0.56 mm and the characteristically, the sediment distribution was consisted of medium sand 63.42%, fine sand 23.40%, coarse sand 5.59%, very fine sand-mud 4.13% and pebble 0.17%. The currents speed were 0.25 m/s, 0.23 m/s and 0.19 m/s. The current speed has influenced the sediment distribution where small grains were mostly found at higher current speed. Key words. Abstract

Abstract. The objective of the present study was to evaluate the feeding habits of three species of squids i.e. Loligo sp. Sepioteuthis lessoniana dan Sepia officinalis which were caught in the northern sea of Aceh. The sampling was conducted from April  to May 2013 in TPI lampulo, Banda Aceh. The results showed that three type of foods were recorded on the Loligo sp. i.e. fish (75.1%), shrimp (20.5%) and squid (4.4%); in the S. officinalis stomach was fish (89.9%), shrimp (10%) and crab (0.29); while inthe S. lessoniana stomach was fish (99.9%) and worm (0.1%). Hence the squids were categorized as carnivorous feeding habit where small fish and shrimp were the primary food for the squids. Keywords: Food; Fish; Shrimp; Carnivorous;  Abstrak.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kebiasaan makan dan komposisi makanan tiga species cumi hasil tangkapan nelayan dari perairan  pantai Utara Provinsi Aceh mulai April sampai Mei 2013.  Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode penarikan contoh secara acak sederhana yaitu dengan mengambil sampel secara acak yang mewakili semua ukuran cumi yang ad. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis makanan yang dijumpai pada lambung Loligo edulis adalah ikan (75,1%), udang (20,5%) dan cumi (4,4%); pada lambung Sepia offisinalis  diperoleh jenis makanan;  ikan (89,9%), udang (10%) dan kepiting (0,29%;)  dan pada Sepioteuthis lessoniana  ikan (99,9%) dan cacing (0,1%). Sehingga dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ketiga species yang diteliti karnivora dengan ikan-ikan kecil dan udang sebagai makanan utama.Kata kunci: Makanan, Ikan; Udang; Karnivora

Abstract

Abstract. The objective of present study was to study the diversity of macrozoobenthos in Kuala Gigieng estuary, Aceh Besar. The study was conducted in June 2011. The random sampling method was used to determine the area and sampling points based on tidal activities. Samples were taken with the Eckmann grab, then identified at Marine Biological Laboratory of Marine Science Department. The results showed that there were three class of macrozoobenhos (Malacostraca, Gastropoda, and bivalves) within 12 species of makrozoobenthos occured in Kuala Gigieng. The Shannon-Wienner diversity index (H') at high tide, mean sea level, and low tide were 1.26, 1.446, and 1.892, respectively, and it was categorized as low level. Keywords. Abstract

Provinsi Aceh ini memiliki wilayah perairan yang sangat strategis dikarenakan wilayahnya berhadapan langsung dengan Samudera Hindia. Maka dari itu, diperlukan  sarana dan prasarana yang memadai berupa  transportasi laut yang dapat membantu aktivitas masyarakat umum. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Alur Pelabuhan Penyeberangan Ulee Lheue Provinsi Aceh Kecamatan Meuraxa (55°33'06” LU dan 95°17'73” BT) yang dilakukan pada pukul 08:00-18:00 WIB. Kecepatan Arus ini diukur setiap 3 jam sekali mempunyai kecepatan arus rata-rata sebesar 14 cm/s dalam sebulan penuh

Abstract

Focusing on the @campaign.id account, this research investigates the role of Instagram in increasing mental health awareness among Indonesian youth. This research analyzes the qualitative content of posts and user interactions on the @campaign.id account to see how the account engages audiences and encourages actions that contribute to social change towards a stronger mental health discourse in discussions about stigma and mental health management. The results show that @campaign.id utilizes Instagram effectively to promote community support and encourage proactive attitudes towards mental health. The platform serves as a driver of social change by emphasizing that it can influence positive behavior among youth. The campaign uses emotional imagery and compelling narratives to challenge the stigma surrounding mental health, encouraging young individuals to seek professional help rather than self-diagnose. Findings show that the campaign successfully used social media to create meaningful engagement and raise mental health awareness, leveraging emotional resonance and informational content to mobilize youth. Berfokus pada akun @campaign.id, penelitian ini menyelidiki peran Instagram dalam meningkatkan kesadaran kesehatan mental di kalangan pemuda Indonesia. Penelitian ini menganalisis konten kualitatif dari postingan dan interaksi pengguna di akun @campaign.id untuk melihat bagaimana akun tersebut melibatkan audiens dan mendorong tindakan yang berkontribusi pada perubahan sosial menuju diskursus kesehatan mental yang lebih kuat dalam diskusi tentang stigma dan manajemen kesehatan mental. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa @campaign.id memanfaatkan Instagram secara efektif untuk mempromosikan dukungan komunitas dan mendorong sikap proaktif terhadap kesehatan mental. Platform ini berfungsi sebagai penggerak perubahan sosial dengan menekankan bahwa itu dapat memengaruhi perilaku positif di kalangan pemuda. Kampanye ini menggunakan imajeri emosional dan narasi yang menarik untuk menantang stigma seputar kesehatan mental, mendorong individu muda untuk mencari bantuan profesional daripada mendiagnosis diri. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa kampanye menggunakan media sosial untuk menciptakan keterlibatan yang bermakna dan meningkatkan kesadaran kesehatan mental, memanfaatkan resonansi emosional dan konten informasi untuk memobilisasi pemuda.

Abstract

Bireuen District has significant potential in fisheries resources. However, the high potential of marine fisheries comes with various threats, such as overfishing and destructive fishing, which can disrupt the sustainability of marine ecosystems. The use of environmentally friendly fishing gear is a crucial aspect of sustainability. This study aims to identify environmentally friendly fishing technologies in Bireuen District. Data collection was conducted using a descriptive method with survey techniques, observations, and structured interviews with respondents. The sampling method employed purposive sampling, selecting respondents based on specific criteria or considerations relevant to the research objectives, with a total of 50 respondents directly involved in capture fisheries in Bireuen District. Data analysis was carried out using a scoring analysis based on nine criteria for environmentally friendly fishing gear, following the guidelines of the Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries.The results of the study indicate that fishing gears with very environmentally friendly technology include purse seines, trolling lines, set longlines, pots, and gillnets.
