Abstract

Guidance by cadres to mothers on childcare within the CCD training was conducted in 2018. At that time, mothers exhibited positive attitudes and self-efficacy. However, two years later, the Covid-19 pandemic emerged, leading to a shift in circumstances and the discontinuation of the mentoring program. These changes could potentially alter the attitudes and self-efficacy that mothers possessed in caring for their children. This follow-up study aimed to examine the attitude and self efficacy of mother who participated in CCD training in Yogyakarta in 2018, comparing their status in 2022. This was a cross-sectional study. The respondents are mothers with children aged 4-6 years who have participated in mentoring by cadres during CCD training, totaling 57 individuals. The study employs attitude and GSES questionnaires adapted from Akhmadi's research (2021). Descriptive statistics are used to illustrate the findings, presenting data in terms of frequency, percentage, and mean. The mean score for maternal attitudes is (29.19), with (57.89%) categorized as less favorable and (42.10%) as favorable attitudes. The mean score for maternal self-efficacy is (30.38), with (68.42%) classified as low self-efficacy and (31.57%) as high self-efficacy. The research findings indicate a decline in maternal attitudes and self-efficacy in childcare post-CCD training in 2018.

Abstract

Background: Masturbation is normal sexual behavior. However, masturbation in childhood is rarely discussed in the research. Childhood masturbation or gratification disorder, is characterized by self-stimulation of genitalia in prepubescent children. However, childhood masturbation often stops if the child is distracted, and spontaneous recovery within two years in most cases Generally, no drug therapy is required for childhood masturbation unless it is very frequent or excessive and it affects the daily functionality of the child. Regarding the treatment of childhood masturbation, we highlight the fact that evidence-based therapy for childhood masturbation is lacking due to unclear standard guidelines on it. We need a path of therapy that can help doctors in the management of childhood masturbation. Case: Here we reported two cases of excessive childhood masturbation from a 3-year-old and a 10-month-old female patient who were brought by their mother to the outpatient clinic pediatric, Academic Hospital, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia, with a complaint of stretching by flexing the legs and rubbing on her genital part Risperidone as one of the drug therapies for this case and present a good outcome. Additionally, this article also provides literature reviews on childhood masturbation treatment that may guide clinicians in its evaluation and management. Conclusion:  We conclude that behavioral treatment is the common strategy for childhood masturbation.  The treatment, as well as behavioral and drug therapeutic strategies, should be considered to achieve an effective outcome.

Abstract

Purpose: This study examines the differences between MR bias immunization and the implementation of MR BIAS before (2019) and during (2020) the pandemic. Methods: This study was a qualitative study with a descriptive approach. Qualitative samples were selected using purposive sampling techniques. Twelve subjects were chosen as samples with occupations such as public health center officer, teacher, and parent. Results: Factors that influenced the implementation of the MR BIAS program before the pandemic (2019) and during the Pandemic (2020) were environmental factors, behavioral factors, and healthcare factors. Environmental factors that affect the implementation of vaccinations include online-based learning, delayed school immunization programs because of COVID-19 cases in schools, and the role of schools and teachers. Behavioral factors that affect the implementation of BIAS are the implementation of health protocols and the attitude of children and parents. Healthcare factors influencing vaccination implementation are immunization services constrained by human resources (HR) and personal protective equipment (PPE). Conclusion: There were differences in implementing monthly school immunization programs in 2019 before and in 2020 during the pandemic. Kulon Progo Regency maintained immunization coverage before and during the pandemic.

Abstract

Satuan Tugas Imunisasi Ikatan Dokter Anak Indonesia secara periodik melakukan kaji ulang jadwal imunisasi dengan menyelaraskan dengan buku pedoman imunisasi di Indonesia edisi ke 7 tahun 2024, dan sumber-sumber lainnya. Jadwal imunisasi selalu dievaluasi ulang karena beredarnya vaksin baru yang telah disetujui oleh BPOM dan vaksin yang tidak tersedia lagi di Indonesia. Terdapat beberapa perubahan dalam jadwal imunisasi rekomendasi IDAI tahun 2024 yaitu ketersediaan jenis vaksin, seperti pada pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV), vaksin rotavirus, vaksin varisela, vaksin dengue, dan vaksin human papillomavirus (HPV). Agar dalam pelaksanaan lebih mudah, disertakan juga tabel jadwal imunisasi tahun 2024 di akhir.

Abstract

COVID-19 is a new viral infection that has become a global pandemic, resulting in extremely high mortality and morbidity rates worldwide, including in Indonesia. Vaccination is one of the strategies for preventing COVID-19 infection promoted by the World Health Organization (WHO) to reduce COVID-19 morbidity and mortality. The Indonesian government supports the implementation of vaccination and conducts mass vaccination as a strategy to overcome the pandemic in Indonesia. The high immunization coverage resulted in increased use of vaccines, and events following immunization (AEFI) also increased. Reports on follow-up AEFI are needed as government policy references and information for the public. This study aims to describe the following events after the COVID-19 vaccine immunization and the incidence of the infection post vaccination. The study design was a cross-sectional study using primary and secondary data. The data were analyzed descriptively and statistically using Chi Square method by identifying association between demographic data and AEFI incidence. A total 131 respondents were included. Most respondents experienced AEFI after giving the first (77.1%) or second (71.9%) vaccine with the Sinovac vaccine. However, all reported mild AEFI. Most reported AEFIs were pain (48.8% and 49.6%), hungry (37.4% and 10.0%), and drowsiness (32.1% and 23.7%) after the first and the second vaccine. In conclusion, the prevalence of AEFI in the first and the second dose of inactivated COVID-19 vaccine is higher than that reported in the clinical trial study although the all AEFIs are considered as mild.
