Abstract

Inceptisols merupakan salah satu jenis tanah dengan sebaran yang cukup luas di Indonesia. Pemanfaatanya untuk pertanian pun masih luas, salah satunya Inceptisols di Kecamatan Wanaraja Kabupaten Garut. Namun eksploitasi tanah secara terus-menerus dalam jumlah yang sangat besar melalui penggalian untuk pembuatan batu bata merah terjadi di wilayah ini dan mengakibatkan menipisnya lapisan tanah karena hilangnya top soil (lapisan atas) dengan kedalaman 2 – 4 meter. Sehingga tanah kehilangan kesuburanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemanfaatan PCO plus bersama N-P-K terhadap beberapa sifat kimia tanah Inceptisols bekas galian batu bata merah. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari 2017 sampai dengan Mei 2017 di kebun percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Padjadjaran. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah RAK sederhana dengan 10 perlakuan tanah terdegradasi bekas galian batu bata dan 1 perlakuan tanah normal yang diulang 3 kali dengan susunan perlakuan sebagai berikut; A = Kontrol (tanah terdegradasi, tanpa pupuk), B = 0% PCO + 1 NPK, C = 0.25% PCO + 1 NPK, D = 0.50% PCO + 1 NPK, E = 0.75% PCO + 1 NPK, F = 1.00% PCO + 1 NPK, G = 0.5% PCO + 3/4 NPK, H = 0.5% PCO + 1/2 NPK, I = 0.5% PCO + 1/4 NPK, J = 0.5 PCO + 0 NPK, dan K = 1 NPK tanah normal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan PCO plus bersama dosis N-P-K yang lebih tinggi (konsentrasi 0.5%, 0.75%, dan 1.00% bersama N-P-K standar) berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan C-organik, KTK dan KB tanah serta penyerapan N, P dan K oleh tanaman pada tanah terdegradasi bekas galian batu bata merah, akan tetapi peningkatan tersebut belum mampu mengembalikan sifat kimia tanah (C-organik, KTK dan KB tanah) serta penyerapan N, P dan K seperti pada tanah normal.Kata kunci : pupuk cair organik, pupuk N-P-K, sifat kimia tanah

Abstract

Inceptisol merupakan ordo tanah yang paling banyak di Indonesia. Masalah yang menjadi sorotan adalah  Inceptisol yang memiliki tingkat kesuburan rendah, sehingga perlu dilakukan perbaikan tanah melalui penggunaan pupuk anorganik, organik dan pupuk hayati untuk meningkatkan kualitas tanah Inceptisol. Percobaan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk N,P,K, vermikompos dan pupuk hayati terhadap serapan N, populasi Azotobacter sp., dan hasil kedelai Edamame pada Inceptisols. Percobaan ini dilaksanakan dari bulan Maret hingga Mei 2016 di Kebun Percobaan Ciparanje, Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Padjadjaran, Jatinangor, Sumedang dengan ketinggian tempat ± 750 meter di atas permukaan laut. Percobaan ini dilakukan menggunakan metode percobaan di lapangan dengan Rancangan Acak kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri dari sepuluh perlakuan dan diulang sebanyak tiga kali. Kombinasi perlakuan tersebut terdiri dari: kontrol (tanpa perlakuan), dosis rekomendasi Urea 100 kgha-1 + SP-36 150 kg ha-1 + KCl 125 kg ha-1;½ rekomendasi ha-1 N,P,K +5 ton ha-1 vermikompos;1 rekomendasi ha-1 N, P, K+5 ton ha-1 vermikompos;1½ rekomendasi ha-1 N,P,K +5 ton ha-1 vermikompos;½ rekomendasi ha-1 N, P, K+10 ton ha-1 vermikompos;1 rekomendasi ha-1 N,P,K+10 ton ha-1 vermikompos;1½ rekomendasi ha-1 N,P,K +10 ton ha-1 vermikompos;½ rekomendasi ha-1 N,P,K +5 ton ha-1 vermikompos + pupuk hayati  5 L ha-1;½ rekomendasi ha-1 N,P,K+10 ton ha-1 vermikompos + pupuk hayati  5 L ha-1. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi perlakuan pupuk N,P,K, Vermikompos dan pupuk hayati berpengaruh terhadap populasi Azotobacter sp. dan bobot hasil kedelai Edamame namun tidak berpengaruh terhadap serapan N,½ dosis N,P,K+10 ton ha-1 vermikompos + pupuk hayati 5 L ha-1menghasilkan berat polong 114,45 g/tanaman(10,17 ton/ha) Kata Kunci : Azotobacter sp., kedelai Edamame, pupuk hayati, vermikompos,  pupuk NPK.

Abstract

Biofertilizer and organic ameliorant can be used alternative material to increase sustainable soil fertility  and yield for agricultur. This study aimed to investigate the effect of application biofertilizer consortium and organic ameliorant on chemical and biological character of soil and yield of rice in Inceptisols. The experiment was conducted in experimental field of Agriculture Faculty Universitas Padjadjaran from June until October 2017. Experimental design used a randomized block design of single faktor with twelve treatments and three replications. The treatments consist of control, solid biofertilizer, liquid biofertilizer, combination solid biofertilizer with organic amelioran (straw compost, charcoal husk and cow manure), liquid biofertilizer with organic amelioran, and organic amelioran independen. The result showed that biofertilizer consortium and organic ameliorant has significant effect on N soil and growth of rice. Solid biofertilizer and straw compost was the best treatment increase N soil.In general, biofertilizer consortium and organic ameliorant gave a significant influence for soil chemical and growth of rice. Key words: Biofertilizer, organic ameliorant, N soil and growth of rice.

Abstract

Balanced fertilizing is a site-specific nutrient management concept that takes into consideration the ability of soils to provide nutrients naturally and nutrient recovery previously uptaked by plants. The concept is a response to the various negative impacts caused by intensive and continuous inorganic fertilizing. This study aims to determine the combinantion of N, P, K fertilizer with Granular Organic Fertilizer (POG) that can give the best effect on available phosphate in soil, nutrient uptake and the growth of maize (Zea Mays L.)in Typic Eutrudept. The research used rendomized block design (RBD) with ten treatments and three replications. The results showed combination of ½ N, P, K + 1 POG gave significant effect to increase available-P and nutrient uptake of maize (Zea Mays L.). Keywords: Granular Organic Fertilizer, Maize, Nutrient Uptake, Typic Eutrudept.

Abstract

Amelioran organik memegang peranan penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas tanah dan pertumbuhan tanaman. percobaan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kombinasi amelioran organik dan pupuk N,P,K terhadap populasi Rhizobacteria dan status kecukupan hara tanaman jagung. Penelitian dilakukan dari Oktober 2017 sampai Januari 2018 di Lahan Percobaan Departemen Ilmu Tanah, Universitas Padjadjaran. Percobaan menggunakan metodeRancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri dari sepuluh perlakuan dan tiga ulangan. Parameter yang diamati adalah populasi total bakteri, populasi bakteri pelarut fosfat (BPF), populasi bakteri penambat nitrogen (BPN), dan kadar N,P,K tanaman jagung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengaruh yang nyata pada populasi Rhizobacteria dan kadar hara (N,P,K). Populasi tertinggi pada total bakteri, BPF, dan BPN secara berurutan terdapat pada perlakuan ¼ N,P,K + 1 amelioran organik (2,89 x 1010 cfu/g), ¼ N,P,K + 1 amelioran organic (8,02 x 109 cfu/g), dan ½ N,P,K + 1 amelioran organik (2,32 x 107 cfu/g).Perlakuan ½ N,P,K + 1 amelioran organik memberikan hasil tertinggi padakadar hara (N,P,K). Status hara tanaman dapat digolongkan menjadi sedang (N), sangat tinggi (P), dan rendah (K). Kata Kunci : amelioran organik, rhizobakteria, NPK, status hara, inceptisols

Abstract

Availability of nutrients in the soil greatly affect the condition of plants' growth and development. Fertilization is one of the exact ways to increase nutrients in the soil. Usage of inorganic fertilizer intensively and routinely can decrease soil fertility level and create residual that will damage to the environment. This research aims to determine the effect of fertilizer dose combination of N, P, K, and Biofertilizer to uptake N, P and K on sweet corns (Zea mays Saccharata Sturt) in Fluventic Eutrudepts from Jatinangor. Dose combination was expected can reduce fertilizer dose N, P, K without decreasing productivity and crop yields. This research was performed from January until April 2018 at Experimental Field Faculty of Agriculture, Padjajaran University, Jatinangor, Sumedang, West Java at 725 m asl. Experimental design used in this research is Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 10 treatments and 3 replications which consist of treatments 0 N, P, K + 0 biofertilizer; 1 N, P, K + 0 biofertilizer; 0 N, P, K + 1 biofertilizer; 1/4 N, P, K + 1 biofertilizer; 1/2 N, P, K + 1 biofertilizer; 3/4N, P, K + 1 biofertilizer; 1 N, P, K + 1 biofertilizer; 3/4 N, P, K + 1/4 biofertilizer; 3/4 N, P, K + 1/2 PHC; 3/4 N, P, K + 3/4 biofertilizer. Recommended dosage was 300 kg of urea, 150 kg of SP 36, and 50 kg KCl ha-1 and 5 L ha-1 biofertilizer. The results showed a significant effect of the combination N, P, K fertilizer and biofertilizer to uptake N, P, K, and best dose combination was showed by treatment 1/2 N P K + 1 biofertilizer

Abstract

In Indonesia, Inceptisols is the largest soil order on which intensive agriculture is done. The fertility of this soil order is low, so that it is necessary to improve the soil fertility by using biofertilizers and organic matter. The objectives of this experiment were to determine the effect of a biofertilizer that contains microbe Azotobacter sp., Vermicompost and N, P, K Fertilizer on N content, the population of Azotobacter sp., and the yield of the Edamame soybeans at Inceptisols Jatinangor. A Field experiment was conducted by using Randomized Blocked Design consisted of 10 treatments and three replication. The combinations of these treatments consisted of: control (no treatment), the dose recommendation Urea 100 kg ha-1 + SP36 150 kg ha-1 + KCl 125 kg ha-1, 5 ton ha-1 vermicompost + ½ recommendation ha-1 N, P, K, 5 ton ha-1 vermicompost + 1 recommendation ha-1 N, P, K, 5 ton ha-1 vermicompost + 1½ recommendation ha-1 N, P, K, 10 ton ha-1 vermicompost + ½ recommendation ha-1 N, P, K, 10 ton ha-1 vermicompost + 1 recommendation ha-1 N, P, K, 10 ton ha-1 vermicompost + 1½ recommendation ha-1 N, P, K, 5 ton ha-1 vermicompost +  ½ recommendation ha-1 N, P, K + liquid biofertilizers 5 L ha-1, 10 ton ha-1 Vermicompost + ½ recommendation ha-1 N, P, K + liquid biofertilizers 5 L ha-1.  The experimental results showed that the combined treatment of liquid biofertilizer, Vermicompost and N, P, K fertilizer enhanced the population of Azotobacter sp. and weight of soybean but did not significantly influence N uptake.

Abstract

Proses pembentukan dan perkembangan tanah di lokasi penelitian merupakan langkah awal untuk diketahui dalam upaya mendapatkan informasi karakteristik tanah. Pengembangan lahan pertanian memerlukan informasi dasar tentang tanah dengan mengetahui semua sifat atau karakteristik tanah tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui proses perkembangan tanah yang berkembang dari bahan induk vulkanik. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif dan survei, pengamatan tanah dilakukan dengan pembuatan profil tanah. Hasil penelitian  menunjukkan tanah di Cileles berkembang dari bahan volkan basaltik yang menunjukkan adanya ketidaksinambungan litologi (lithologic discontinuity), tingkat perkembangan tanah berlangsung pada tahap viril atau kambik dan klasifikasi tanah menurut soil taxonomy 2014 kategori sub group yaitu Fluventic Humudepts.

Abstract

The objective of this experiment was to study the influence of sulfur fertilizer and water hyacinth bokashi on soil pH, available-S, available-Fe, and yield of paddy rice  grown on Chromic Hapluderts. The experiment was conducted from November 2010 to February 2011 at Green House of Balai Pelatihan Pertanian Cihea Cianjur, elevated at 298 metres above sea level. The experiment was arranged in a Randomized Completely Block Design of Factorial Pattern. The first factor was sulfur fertilizer comprises of : without sulfur (s0), 20 kg ha-1 S (s1), 40 kg ha-1 S (s2), and 60 kg ha-1 S (s4). The second factor was water hyacinth bokashi comprises of : without bokashi (b0), 15 t ha-1 bokashi (b1), 30 t ha-1 bokashi (b2), and 45 t ha-1 bokashi (b3).  The result of experiment showed that there was an interaction effect between sulfur fertilizer and water hyacinth bokashi on available-S, and available-Fe, but not on pH and yield of paddy rice. Water hyacinth bokashi give an independent effect on yield of paddy rice.  The maximum dry seed weight (111.37 g pot-1 or 17.8 t ha-1) were achieve by 15.26 kg ha-1 S and 41.08 t ha-1 water hyacinth bokashi.

Abstract

Artisanal gold miners usually dispose of gold mine tailings in storage ponds or agricultural land used for farming. However, the gold mine tailings still contain heavy metals such as cadmium, copper, lead, and zinc and can lead to bioaccumulation in food chains. This study investigated the influence of composted cow manure as organic fertilizer on heavy metals (Cd, Cu, Pb and Zn) content in sweet potatoes grown on soil contaminated by gold mine tailing. The MZ119 clone sweet potato plants were grown on soils added with mixtures of gold mine tailings at ratios of 0% (control), 30%, 50%, 70%, and 100% (w/w), and composted cow manure (0, 250, 500, and 750 g/10 kg of soil). The results showed that the higher the ratio of gold mine tailings to the soil, the higher the accumulation of metals in sweet potatoes. According to the translocation factor (TF) value, heavy metals (Cd, Cu, Pb and Zn) accumulated higher in the shoots than in the roots of sweet potatoes. Accumulation of heavy metals in sweet potato occurred in the following order: Zn>Cu>Pb>Cd. This study recommends that sweet potatoes could be used for the phytoremediation of heavy metals (Cd, Cu, Pb and Zn) in polluted soils, but the plants may not be used for consumption.
