Abstract

The contraceptive injection is one of the most widely used contraceptives by family planning acceptors in Garut Regency, especially in the Bayongbong Village. Side effects of the contraceptive injection include: amenorrhea, galactorrhea, bleeding, spotting, headache, lower abdominal pain, depression, hirsutism, hypertension, jaundice, decreased libido, nausea, dizziness, anxiety, thrombophlebitis, and weight gain and loss. The side effects of the contraceptive injection, if not addressed, would cause a drop out of acceptors of the family planning program. The attitudes and actions of family planning acceptors are one of the factors that influence the decision of the acceptors to continue to become the contraceptive injection acceptors or drop out. The purpose of this study was to determine the attitudes and actions of 3-month the contraceptive injection acceptors in overcoming side effects in the Bayongbong Village, Garut. The research method was descriptive, the sample of research was 72 people selected by random sampling technique. The analysis used was univariate. The results showed that 27 respondents (37.5%) had an unsupportive attitude and 45 people (62.5%) had a supportive attitude. While the actions of 32 people (44.4%) had good actions and 40 people (55.6%) had less action in overcoming the effects of 3 months injection of the family planning program. The side effects of the 3-month injection contraception device are one of the factors that can influence the decision to continue using contraception or not. Most respondents had non-supportive attitudes and fewer actions in overcoming side effects.Keywords: Side effect, injectable contraception, attitude, behavior

Abstract

Background: Low back pain (LBP) is one of the many spinal cord-positioning conditions commonly experienced by adults. Age factors affect the seriousness of trauma to the spine as in patients with osteoporosis under unusual conditions caused by radiculopathy or spinal stenosis, fracture, tumor or infection. This article aimed to identify the most effective non-invasive treatment in treating pain in Low Back Pain (LBP). Methods: cirtical review was used in making this article. Articles were collected through Medline, Google Scholar, Science Direct, Pubmed databases using the keywords: treatment, non-invasive, Low Back Pain from the quantitative studies. The selected articles were those that met the criteria based on PICO, published in the 2010-2017, and used English language. Articles were then evaluated using critical appraisal and PRISMA guides. Based on the evaluation, there are 6 (six) articles that match the purpose and criteria of review. From the literature search results found ways to reduce pain through non-invasive treatment such as Acupunture, Massage, Spinal Manipulation and Yoga can reduce LBP pain. Conclusion: The result of the literature that the most effective method of reducing pain is spinal manipulation where the effect of reducing pain can be maintained for a long time and is more applicable because without the use of aids, nevertheless treatment combined with other treatments and done on an ongoing basis will better results.Keywords: treatment, non infasif, Low Back Pain

Abstract

Breast cancer is the most women cancer in the world, including Indonesia. Some patients stop breast cancer treatment which is impacted to patients' conditions. In chronic diseases, therapy compliance is important for reach successful therapy however study that assess breast cancer patients’ compliance on chemotherapy is limited. The purpose of this study was to describe patient factors that can affect therapy compliance. This research used descriptive quantitative method and respondents were chosen using the accidental sampling technique. The data were gathered at one of the halfway houses in Bandung. Data were collected using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed by univariate analysis and described by frequency distribution. The results showed that 26 respondents (84%) were obedient to chemotherapy. There were 28 respondents (90.3%) because they did not carry out alternative medicine and 26 respondents (83.9%) had because they put aside work and related affairs to do chemotherapy. In conclusion, the majority of respondents were obedient to chemotherapy. There are patient factors that can improve chemotherapy compliance, there are chosen therapy factor and demographic and economic factors. Development of another halfway houses could be carried out, because of the result of this research, representing many breast cancer patients feels easier to obedient the sequence of therapy.Keywords: Breast cancer, therapy compliance, halfway house.

Abstract

Teenage pregnancy continues to be a major global health problem in the world. This pregnancy occurs in adolescents aged 14-19 years, both married and unmarried. This systematic review aims to determine the factors that cause teenage pregnancy. This systematic review was conducted by searching for articles using electronic databases, namely Cocroane, Willey Online Library, Sage Journals, Cambridge, Pubmed, Science Direct. The keywords used areAND sexual behavior AND factors affect AND pregnancy AND adolescents. Search results found 12,982 articles according to keywords, namely Cocroane 74 articles, Willey Online Library 1974 articles, Sage Journals 2467 articles, Cambridge 5721 articles, Pubmed 230, Science Direct 2516 articles.After adjusting for keywords, inclusion criteria, as well as title and abstract screening, articles that answer research questions as many as 5 articles. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the factors causing teenage pregnancy were:namely a history of older sisters and mothers who have experienced teenage pregnancies, peer influence and psychological control from mothers and fathers, psychological pressure, dropping out of school, and a history of having family members who have been detained. This study provides information about the factors that cause teenage pregnancy in the world. Further studies can be carried out more deeply about the factors that cause teenage pregnancy in Indonesia.

Abstract

AbstractMental health is a global problem including postpartum blues.  Woman's perception of family’s support may increase postpartum blues symptoms. The purpose of this study was to describe the perceptions of women with postpartum blues towards family supports in Al Islam Hospital, Bandung, Indonesia. The design was descriptive and samples were chosen using the purposive sampling technique. The number of respondents was 35 women, and the data were gathered using two questioners. There were family support and modification of Kennerly and Gath's questioner. The results showed that most of respondent's perceived family provided emotional support 75%, instrument support 51%, reward support 54%, and informational support 54%. Based on the result, it is an opportunity for the hospital to provide counseling or health education to patient or family about the patient need on family support.Keywords: Family Support, Perception, Postpartum Blues

Abstract

The Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in Indonesia is still high, one of the causes is pre-eclampsia. Tarogong Garut is a health center with a high occurrence of preeclampsia and it increases annually, 34% in 2016 increased to 51% in 2017. The knowledge of pregnant women about preeclampsia may be one of the causes to the increased risk of preeclampsia, but there is still limited information available on the knowledge of pregnant women about preeclampsia. This study aimed to discover the knowledge of pregnant women about pre-eclampsia. This type of research was descriptive quantitative with a sample of 83 pregnant women. The sample was selected by the total sample technique. Data analysis used was univariate analysis. The study was conducted at the Tarogong Health Centre in March-July 2018. The instruments used were questionnaires. The results of the study showed that the knowledge of pregnant women about pre-eclampsia is still lacking in all aspects of preeclampsia knowledge, especially in aspects of signs and symptoms. In conclusion, the knowledge of pregnant women about preeclampsia is still lacking. Effective health education programs and methods are needed about preeclampsia for pregnant women, especially in Tarogong Garut.Keywords: Knowledge, Pregnant women, Pre-eclampsia.

Abstract

Pangandaran merupakan salah satu tempat wisata di Jawa Barat yang memiliki visi untuk menjadi Desa Sehat. Keadaan kesehatan penduduknya merupakan salah satu daya tarik bagi wisatawan domestik. Sayangnya pada daerah ini masih memiliki masalah dengan gizi balitanya. Pengetahuan masyarakat tentang gizi balita masih rendah sehingga pada balita masih ditemukan gangguan gizi dan gizi buruk. Bila balita mengalami gangguan gizi maka akibat yang akan ditimbulkan  antara lain: gizi buruk, gizi kurang, kwashiorkor, dan marasmus. Angka kekurangan gizi yang dialami anak di bawah lima tahun (balita) di Kab. Pangandaran, hingga saat ini terbilang masih tinggi. Perilaku dalam merawat kebutuhan nutrisi balita, masih merupakan masalah di kabupaten ini  yang menyebabkan masih adanya balita dan anak yang berstatus kurang gizi dan gangguan gizi. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberdayaan kader kesehatan terhadap pengetahuan masyarakat tentang gizi balita.  Metode : Kegiatan ini  dilaksanakan di Desa Pamotan dan Desa Bagolo Kecamatan Pangandaran Kab Pangandaran pada bulan Januari -April 2017.  Khalayak sasaran pada program ini adalah seluruh kader kesehatan yang ada di dua desa tersebut dengan jumlah 39 orang. Analisa data menggunakan t test paired. Kegiatan yang dilakukan meliputi melakukan pendataan tentang kondisi kesehatan yang ada di wilayah kedua desa tersebut, melakukan pelatihan keluarga sadar gizi, dan evaluasi.  Hasil: menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan kader kesehatan tentang gizi sebelum dilakukan intervensi rata rata 10,28±1,191 meningkat menjadi rata rata 11,36±0,932 dengan nilai p=0,000. .Simpulan: pemberdayaan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan kader kesehatan terhadap perbaikan gizi balita. Saran: Kegiatan pemberdayaan kader kesehatan dan posyandu yang berada di daerahnya masing-masing memerlukan dukungan yang efektif baik dari pemerintahan desa maupun dari puskesmas baik material maupun moral. Kata kunci: Gizi balita, kader kesehatan, pemberdayaan, pengetahuan.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Kehamilan risiko tinggi merupakan faktor utama tingginya angka kematian ibu di seluruh dunia. Angka kematian di Indonesia salah satunya dikarenakan masih rendahnya pemanfaatan pelayanan antenatal sedangkan antenatal care yang merupakan salah satu cara untuk mendeteksi dini adanya risiko tinggi kehamilan. Di Kota Bandung kasus kematian ibu pada tahun 2010 mencapai 25 kasus dengan cakupan kunjungan pelayanan antenatal yang masih di bawah batas minimal yaitu 90,60% untuk K4. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat adanya hubungan antara pengetahuan ibu tentang risiko tinggi kehamilan dan kepatuhan kunjungan antenatal care. Penelitian ini berbentuk deskriptif korelasional dengan pendekatan studi cross sectional. Sampel yang terlibat adalah 66 ibu post-partum dengan riwayat kehamilan risiko tinggi yang sedang mendapatkan perawatan di ruang nifas RSKIA Kota Bandung pada bulan Mei 2011. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dan lembar observasi, sedangkan untuk analisis data menggunakan presentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 48,5% dari total responden berpengetahuan cukup tentang risiko tinggi kehamilan, 57,6% responden tidak mematuhi jadwal kunjungan antenatal care, dan terdapat hubungan yang rendah antara kedua variabel dengan p value 0,046. Dari hasil penelitian ini diharapkan pelayanan kesehatan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu hamil tentang risiko tinggi kehamilan melalui pendidikan kesehatan sebagai rangkaian pelayanan antenatal care dan pemanfaatan buku KIA secara maksimal.   Kata Kunci : Antenatal care, Kepatuhan, Pengetahuan, Risiko tinggi kehamilan ABSTRACT High risk pregnancy is a major factor in high rates of maternal mortality worldwide. In Indonesia, maternal mortality rate followed by the low utilization of antenatal care, while antenatal care is one way to detect the early presence of high risk pregnancies. In Bandung, the maternal mortality case in 2010 reached 25 cases and coverage of antenatal care visits are still below the minimum limit, it was 90,60% for K4. This study aims to look at the relationship between maternal knowledge about high risk pregnancy and antenatal care visit adherence. This research was a descriptive correlational research with cross sectional study. The sample involved was 66 post-partum mothers with a history of high risk pregnancies who were getting treatment in postpartum ward of RSKIA Bandung. Questionnaires and observation sheets were used to collect the data. The results of this study showed that 48.5% of the total respondents knowledgeable enough about high-risk pregnancies, 57.6% of respondents did not comply with the schedule of antenatal care visits, and there was a low relationships between those two variables. From the results of this research, health services is expected to increase knowledge of high risk pregnant women about pregnancy through health education as a series of antenatal care and utilization of MCH book maximally. Abstract

Siti Sarah Purnamasari*Ermiati**Tetti Solehati** ABSTRAKSalah satu kebijakan pemerintah untuk menurunkan angka kematian ibu adalah dengan pengadaan buku Kesehatan Ibu dan Anak (KIA). Buku KIA adalah sarana untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu hamil, sehingga diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kemandirian keluarga dalam memelihara kesehatan, mencegah, mendeteksi secara dini, serta menanggulangi masalah kesehatan ibu. Metode SMS Centre Pregnancy mengajak ibu untuk membaca buku KIA. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan pengetahuan tentang KIA dalam buku KIA  sebelum dan sesudah metode SMS Centre Pregnancy pada ibu hamil. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan quasi experiment dengan pre-test and post-test group design. Jumlah responden sebanyak 30 orang. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling Uji hipotesis yang digunakan adalah Wilcoxon. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan (p=0.000) antara pengetahuan sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan SMS Centre Pregnancy. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh metode SMS Centre Pregnancy terhadap pengetahuan tentang KIA dalam buku KIA pada ibu hamil. Saran untuk penelitian ini, bagi pihak puskesmas dapat menentukan kebijakan tentang penggunaan metode SMS Centre Pregnancy. Untuk peneliti selanjutnya disarankan untuk meneliti faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pengetahuan ibu hamil tentang KIA dalam buku KIA pada metode SMS Centre Pregnancy. Kata Kunci : Buku KIA, SMS, Ibu hamil ABSTRACT          One of the Government's policies to reduce maternal mortality was the provision of Maternal and Child Health Handbook (MCH). Maternal and child health handbook is a means to improve the knowledge of pregnant women, which is expected to increase the autonomy of the family in the care of health, prevention, early detection, and solve the problem of maternal health. SMS Centre pregnancy methods invited mothers to read MCH. The purpose of this study was to determine differences in knowledge about MCH in MCH book before and after the SMS Pregnancy Center method in pregnant women Used a quasi-experimental research design with pre-test and post-test design group. Sampling used a purposive sampling technique. The number of respondents as many as 30 people. Hypothesis test used was Wilcoxon. Hypothesis test results showed a significant difference (p = 0.000) between the knowledge before and after the pregnancy center of SMS.The conclusion of this study was indicate that method of SMS Centre pregnancy influence to the knowledge of the MCH in MCH book for pregnant women. Suggestions for this study, Community Health Center can determine the policy on the use of the SMS Centre pregnancy methods. Abstract

Remaja putri merupakan kelompok rawan terjangkit infeksi saluran reproduksi, salah satunya disebabkan pola perilaku belum mendukung dalam perawatan diri saat menstruasi yang menyebabkan meningkatnya angka keputihan patologis. Pola perilaku seseorang dapat dipengaruhi oleh usia dan informasi. Pada pondok pesantren biasanya guru memberikan edukasi tentang kesehatan reproduksi sesuai dengan ajaran islam yang dirasakan lengkap untuk siswinya sehingga akan berpengaruh pada perilaku kesehatan reproduksi mereka. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan sumber informasi dan usia siswi dengan perilaku perawatan diri saat menstruasi. Metode: Desain penelitian deskriptif korelasional. Teknik pengambilan sample total sampling dengan jumlah 100 siswi kelas VIII dan IX. Kegiatan: Penelitian dilakukan di Pondok Pesantren Al-Musaddadiyah Garut tahun 2016. Instrumen terdiri dari quisioner data sumber informasi dan usia, serta lembar ceklis perilaku perawatan diri saat menstruasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis univariat dan bivariat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hampir setengahnya responden berusia 15 tahun (27%), seluruh responden (100%) mendapatkan informasi, hampir seluruh responden (82%) mendapatkan informasi dari ibu, dan hampir seluruh responden (87%) berperilaku tidak mendukung. Hasil uji korelasi menunjukkan bahwa hanya variabel usia yang memiliki nilai signifikan terhadap perilaku perawatan diri saat menstruasi (p = 0,033), sedangkan variabel sumber informasi tidak ada yang memiliki nilai yang signifikan seperti dari; ibu (p = 1,000), koran (p = 0,767), TV (p = 0,338), internet (p = 0,296), guru (p = 0,682), teman (p = 0,675), petugas kesehatan (p = 0,208), dan informasi lainnya (p = 0,780). Kesimpulan terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara usia dengan perilaku perawatan diri saat menstruasi.Kata kunci: Perawatan diri saat menstruasi, siswi, sumber informasi. The Correlation between Information Source and Age of Adolscent Girls to Self Care Practices of Menstrual Hygiene BehaviorAbstractYoung female are prone to contracting of reproductive tract infections, one of which is due to a behavioral pattern in self-care during menstruation that leads to increase of pathological vaginal discharge. A person’s behavior patterns can be affected by age and information. In the boarding school, usually teachers provide education about reproductive health in accordance with Islamic teachings so that will affect the behavior of their reproductive health. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the source of information and the age of female students with self-care behavior during menstruation. Method: Descriptive correlational research design was used in this study. Sampling technique was total sampling of 100 students of class VIII and IX. Activity: The research was conducted at Pondok Pesantren Al-Musaddadiyah Garut in 2016. The instrument consisted of information questionaire and data of age, as well as checklist of self-care behavior during menstruation. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analysis. The results showed that almost half (27%) of respondents aged 15 years, all respondents (100%) received information, almost all respondents (82%) received information from mothers, and almost all respondents (87%) had unsupport behavior. The correlation test results showed that only the variable of age had significant value to the self-care behavior during menstruation (p = 0,033),whereas the variable of information source had not significant value such as from mother (p = 1,000), news paper (p = 0,767), TV (p = 0,338), internet (p = 0.296), teachers (p = 0.682), friends (p = 0,682), health providers (p = 0,208), and other informations (p = 0,780). Conclusion There was a significant relationship between age and self-care behavior during menstruation.Keywords: Self-care during menstruation, student, source of information.
