Abstract

Introduction: Sexual issues in Indonesia are never discussed openly in the family, one of the contributing factors is the presumption of taboo culture in the conversation of sexual topics.  This can be a risk of sexual abuse in children. Objective:  To identify the cultural diversity of Indonesia at risk of child sexual abuse. Method:  We conducted systematic reviews using PubMed, Science Direct, SpringerLink, EBSCO for the keywords "Indonesian culture" AND "child sexual abuse", then Google Scholar for keywords "“nilai-nilai” ATAU “budaya Indonesia” DAN “kekerasan seksual anak”. Literature searched follow inclusion criteria such as articles Indonesian and English, published in 2011-2021, Full-text, primary research, focusing on sexual abuse in children in terms of culture. After an initial selection of 4866 articles, then filtered and assessed using the JBI Tool so that 5 qualified articles were obtained. Results:  It was found that family factors, internal factors of perpetrators and victims, and external factors were cultural in Indonesia that are at risk of sexual abuse in children. Conclusion:  Based on the results of research it can be concluded that most cultures in Indonesia still consider it taboo to talk about sexual topics to children, so it can be a risk of sexual abuse in children. It is recommended that research be conducted to educate the problem of sexual abuse in children through a cultural approach involving family factors, internal factors, and external factors

Abstract

Adolescents are particularly vulnerable to the problem of the triad of adolescent reproductive health that includes sexuality, HIV/AIDS and drugs. Lack of knowledge among adolescents is one of the causes of risky behavior on reproductive health. Health education through peer teaching method and jigsaw method can improve knowledge and prevent adolescent reproductive health problems. The purpose of this research is to analyze the differences between the effects of peer teaching method with jigsaw method toward the level knowledge of reproductive health students SMPN 1 Cilegon. The research design is quasi-experiment with non equivalent control group. The research sample consisted of 42 respondents to the peer teaching group and 42 respondents to the jigsaw group which is chosen by stratified random sampling. The results of the analysis of statistical tests using t-dependent test shows that there is significant influence after being given health education with p value 0.001 (p less than 0.05) and the results t-independent test obtained p value 0.021 (p less than 0.05), which shows the differences in effect between peer teaching method with jigsaw method toward the level knowledge of reproductive health students SMPN 1 Cilegon. The suggestion of this research is to use the jigsaw method as an alternative method in providing adolescent reproductive health education.

Abstract

Poor personal hygiene practices can affect the incidence of infectious diseases which in turn can increase the risk of stunting. Several factors influence the practice of personal hygiene in the care of under-five children, namely the level of education and income of parents. The research was to analyze the relationship between parents' education and income level with personal hygiene practices in under-five children's care. The research design is a quantitative correlation with secondary data sources. The population is parents who have under-five children in Sukamulya Village, Bandung. Samples were taken using an accidental sampling technique with a total of 85 respondents, excluding parents whose children died in the under-five age range or whose children were 5 years old at the time of data collection. The instrument is a questionnaire consisting of demographic data and 7 questions related to personal hygiene practices in caring for under-five children. The data were analyzed using the Spearman test. The results showed that there was no relationship between the educational (p-value=0.16) and income (p-value=0.887) level of parents with personal hygiene practices in caring for under-five children in Sukamulya Village, Bandung. The next research suggestion is to examine other factors that influence personal hygiene practices in caring for under-five children.

Abstract

Caesarea Section (CS) delivery causes short and long term complications, as well as death that can occur during intraoperative, post-operative, or subsequent pregnancies. Many studies have been conducted on the causes of cesarean delivery, but research on the factors that cause cesarean delivery is still limited, especially in primigravidas. Primigravidas have a higher risk of experiencing CS related to the physical and psychological condition of the mother. This study aims to analyze the factors that cause cesarean delivery in primigravida. A retrospective case control study at Idaman Hospital was conducted in October – November 2020 with research ethics number 466/UN6.KEP/EC/2021. Data was collected from the medical records of 588 primigravidas divided into SC (n=294) and normal (294) deliveries between 2017-2019. Data were analyzed using chi square and logistic regression. The results of the analysis showed that there was a relationship between labor induction (p=0.000), prolonged labor (p=0.001), premature rupture of membranes (p=0.001), cephalopelvic disproportion (CPD) (p=0.000), and umbilical cord entanglement (p= 0.048) with faults in primigravida. The most correlated multivariate factor was CPD Exp (B) = 18.741. Vaginal delivery is still possible in some cases after proper assessment and under close supervision. CS delivery is carried out to help with the birth process which is experiencing complications. Knowing the causal factors associated with cesarean delivery is expected to provide health education information to mothers to carry out routine antenatal care. Early detection of factors causing cesarean delivery in primigravida, as preparation for childbirth. Keywords: Caesarean section, logistic models, medical records, primigravidae
