Abstract

Physical changes during puberty are very rapid and are not balanced with psychological changes, which can cause adolescents to pay more attention to their body shape and appearance. If adolescents are unable to accept their body image, it can affect their daily behaviors such as self-confidence, eating patterns, and dietary behavior. This study aims to determine the description of the body image of adolescent girls during puberty at SDN Cingcin 01. This research design is quantitative descriptive. This study used a total sampling technique with a sample size of 55 female students at SDN Cingcin 01 who had reached puberty. Total sampling was used in this study because the population is less than 100 people. Data was collected using the Multidimensional Body Self Relations Questionnaire-Appearance Scale (MBSRQ-AS) to measure the body image with validity test results ranging from 0.438-0.795, and the reliability test results 0.922. Univariate analysis was carried out using descriptive statistics. The results showed that 28 respondents (50.9%) were in the negative body image category. Based on the dimensions, respondents had negative perceptions of appearance evaluation (56.4%) and overweight preoccupation (52.7%), positive perceptions of appearance orientation (56.4%), body area satisfaction (58.2%), and self-classified weight (78.2%). In conclusion, half of the respondents had a negative body image. It is recommended for schools to do health education to improve the body image of their female students.

Abstract

Physical activity during pregnancy needs to be considered because it will have a positive impact in reducing medical interventions during childbirth, such as: amniocentesis, labor induction, and the risk of cesarean section. This study aimed to identify physical exercise that is effective in improving the welfare of pregnant women. Literature review research design. Literature search assisted by Pubmed, Science Direct, and Ebsco databases using the keywords "Pregnant women" OR "Pregnancy" OR "Pregnant" AND "Exercise" OR "Exercises" OR "Physical Activity" AND "Well-being" OR "Life satisfaction" OR "Life quality" by considering the inclusion criteria including: fultex on physical exercise interventions in pregnant women published from 2014-2024, in English, primary research with Randomized Controlled Trial, Clinical Trial, quasi-experiment designs. This study found 10 articles that met the requirements for analysis, which were then analyzed using JBI. The results of the study found six themes of the influence of physical activity during pregnancy on the welfare of pregnant women, namely: improving sleep quality and maternal-fetal attachment, reducing pain during pregnancy, affecting labor, improving fetal well-being and intrauterine safety, optimal weight gain, and preventing postpartum depression. Abstract

Anemia is a significant concern during pregnancy, requiring proper treatment to prevent ongoing issues. This study aims to explore interventions for preventing anemia in pregnant women. Using databases like Ebsco, Pubmed, Proquest, and ScienceDirect with keywords 'intervention,' 'prevention of anemia,' and 'pregnancy,' articles meeting inclusion criteria—focusing on anemia prevention interventions, RCT/Quasi experiment research designs, full text, and publication between 2011–2020—were sought. Initially, 1,052 articles were retrieved, and after screening and validity assessment, the study considered the last 7 eligible articles. The findings addressed four main intervention themes: new iron supplements, nutritional provision, handbook utilization, and health promotion for pregnant women. This research sheds light on various interventions available for preventing anemia during pregnancy.
