Abstract

Academic procrastination is known as behavior of delaying the completion of tasks, especially in completing a thesis, which can have a negative impact on students' academic achievement. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between self-awareness and academic procrastination in completing a thesis in students at the Faculty of Sports and Health, Gorontalo State University. This study used a correlational research method with a crosssectional design. The research sample consisted of 212 final year students, selected using the proportionated stratified random sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire that included the variables of self-awareness with academic procrastination. The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between self-awareness and academic procrastination, (p <0.05). Students who have good self-awareness tend to show lower levels of procrastination. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of developing self-awareness skills in helping students overcome academic procrastination behavior, especially in completing a thesis. Therefore, it is recommended that there be a self- development and self-awareness program for students, so as to enhance their study effectiveness and accelerate the completion of their final assignments.

Abstract

Covid-19 is an infectious disease caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). One part of the body that can transmit it is the hands. Washing hands with soap is one way to prevent the transmission of Covid-19. This study aims to determine the relationship between Covid-19 knowledge and hand washing using soap in elementary school-aged children at MIM Unggulan of Gorontalo City. This research is quantitative research with a cross sectional approach. The population are 167 elementary school students in grades 4 and 5. The total samples are 118 respondents using the Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling. The results showed that 88 respondents (74.6%) had good knowledge about Covid-19, 28 respondents (23.7%) had adequate knowledge, and two respondents (1.7%) had poor knowledge. In addition, respondents with good compliance with hand washing using soap were 85 respondents (72.0%), fair compliance were 32 respondents (27.1%), and one respondent with poor compliance (0.8%). It obtained p-Value = 0.000 (a < 0.005), which means that there is a relationship between Covid-19 knowledge and hand washing using soap compliance in elementary school-aged children at the MIM Unggulan of Gorontalo City.

Abstract

Diabetes melitus dan hipertensi merupakan penyakit tidak menular yang memberikan beban signifikan terhadap kesehatan masyarakat, termasuk di Desa Toto Selatan, Kecamatan Kabila. Data awal menunjukkan adanya 20 penderita diabetes dan 74 penderita hipertensi di desa tersebut, yang menggambarkan tingginya prevalensi penyakit ini. Rendahnya pemahaman masyarakat terkait pencegahan, deteksi dini, dan pengelolaan penyakit menjadi dasar dilaksanakannya program pengabdian masyarakat melalui implementasi Modul Diabetes dan Hipertensi (DIAHIP). Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan partisipatif meliputi survei awal, penyusunan modul, pelatihan kader kesehatan, edukasi masyarakat, serta monitoring dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kader dalam melakukan edukasi serta pemeriksaan sederhana, meningkatnya kesadaran masyarakat melalui edukasi interaktif, penyuluhan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat (PHBS) di sekolah dasar, serta terlaksananya kegiatan skrining kesehatan dan senam DIAHIP bagi lansia. Program ini berhasil memberdayakan kader sebagai agen kesehatan, menanamkan kebiasaan hidup sehat sejak dini, serta mendorong masyarakat untuk lebih aktif dalam pencegahan dan pengelolaan penyakit kronis. Dengan demikian, implementasi Modul DIAHIP terbukti efektif sebagai upaya promotif dan preventif dalam mengoptimalkan pengelolaan diabetes dan hipertensi di masyarakat.
