Abstract

Drama memiliki peran strategis dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia karena membantu pengembangan keterampilan berbahasa, kreativitas, serta pembentukan karakter siswa. Namun, berbagai penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran drama di tingkat SMA belum optimal, terutama terkait kesiapan guru dalam merancang pembelajaran. Dalam konteks Kurikulum Merdeka, guru diharuskan adaptif dalam menyusun perangkat ajar, memilih media, dan mengintegrasikan Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan tingkat kesiapan guru Bahasa Indonesia dalam merencanakan pembelajaran drama di kelas XI SMA Negeri Kabupaten Purbalingga tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif karena mampu memberikan gambaran objektif mengenai kondisi aktual melalui pengolahan data angka. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan angket tertutup skala Likert yang disusun berdasarkan lima indikator utama: tujuan pembelajaran, materi, sumber belajar, kegiatan, dan penilaian. Instrumen divalidasi melalui expert judgment menggunakan indeks Aiken. Selain angket, dokumentasi perangkat ajar dianalisis untuk melihat kesesuaian antara persepsi guru dan bukti administratif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara umum guru menilai diri mereka cukup siap dalam menetapkan tujuan, memilih materi, merancang kegiatan, menentukan media, dan menyusun penilaian, terlihat dari dominannya respons positif. Namun, analisis dokumentasi mengungkapkan bahwa kelengkapan modul ajar, media, LKPD, dan instrumen penilaian belum sepenuhnya memenuhi standar. Beberapa komponen penting, seperti perumusan capaian pembelajaran, indikator, dan rubrik penilaian, masih perlu diperjelas.Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kesiapan guru berada pada kategori cukup siap, tetapi masih memerlukan peningkatan terutama dalam aspek teknis penyusunan perangkat ajar dan pemahaman kurikulum. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya pengembangan profesional guru untuk mendukung efektivitas pembelajaran drama di SMA.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur keterampilan menulis puisi siswa kelas X SMA Negeri di Purwokerto menggunakan instrumen berupa rubrik penilaian yang valid dan reliabel. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Sampel diperoleh melalui teknik random sampling yang melibatkan 330 siswa kelas X SMA Negeri di Purwokerto. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes unjuk kerja menulis puisi. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dengan mengonversi skor menjadi nilai untuk menentukan nilai tertinggi, nilai terendah, dan nilai rata-rata lalu dikategorikan. Penilaian terhadap puisi karya siswa menghasilkan nilai tertinggi 100, nilai terendah 53, dan nilai rata-rata 76 yang masuk ke dalam kategori baik. Meskipun siswa menunjukkan keterampilan yang baik dalam menulis puisi, diperlukan penguatan terhadap kriteria penilaian kekuatan citraan (imajinasi) agar keterampilan menulis puisi siswa dapat berkembang secara lebih komprehensif. Hasil pengukuran dapat digunakan oleh guru Bahasa Indonesia kelas X tingkat SMA sebagai pedoman dalam merancang strategi pembelajaran menulis puisi yang lebih efektif sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the need to develop drama teaching materials based on Banyumas folklore, as an effort to provide materials that are relevant to students' needs and characteristics. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model. The focus of the study is the needs analysis stage, the first part of the ADDIE development model. The population in this study was all high school students in the Purwokerto area who received drama material in Indonesian Language subjects. From this population, the study collected samples from two schools: SMAN 5 Purwokerto and SMAN 3 Purwokerto. The results showed that students had a positive perception of drama learning and gained meaningful learning experiences, especially in aspects of self-expression, social interaction, and mental strengthening. However, the available teaching materials remained general, did not cover the full range of drama theory, and did not include examples grounded in local culture. Students also indicated a need for more comprehensive teaching materials that cover affective, psychomotor, and cognitive aspects. Furthermore, students have a favorable view of Banyumas folktales as a learning resource, particularly because their geographical and cultural proximity makes it easier for them to understand the values and moral messages conveyed in these tales. These findings confirm the need to develop drama teaching materials based on Banyumas folktales to provide contextual, meaningful, and student-centered learning.

Abstract

Efficacy is teachers’ ability to strengthen their self-motivation to help solve learning problems faced by their students. In the learning process, psychopragmatic mastery is expected to strengthen the psychological condition of teachers and students through informative, manipulative, and persuasive sentences so that each student can optimize learning tools to help them achieve learning goals. During the pandemic, it is important to examine teachers’ self-efficacy and psychopragmatics mastery to support students in addressing their online learning difficulties. A qualitative study to investigate these issues was therefore conducted. Participants of this study were teachers from all over Indonesia, consisting of 350 middle and high school teachers. Data were collected through (1) a survey of teacher efficacy during online learning, (2) observations of the forms of efficacy built by the teachers during learning activities and outside the classroom, (3) interviews with the teachers to identify forms of efficacy used to shape students' learning fundamentals. It was found that the teachers tended to increase their efficacy through strong lesson planning. In addition, they often modified learning tools so that the multimedia used could foster enthusiasm and learning motivation for both themselves and the students. The teacher's efficacy in teaching is the key to analysis in psychopragmatic studies because data in the form of snippets of teacher speech can influence student motivation. Psychopragmatics in the teaching and learning process is not only considered the psychology of language that is practiced in learning the Indonesian language, but teachers also have internalized psychological reinforcement in the learning activity that has been planned, implemented, and assessed.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the use of symbolism in the novel Laut Bercerita by Leila S. Chudori through the lens of Roland Barthes’ semiotic theory. The novel contains a range of signs that depict traumatic experiences, state violence, and resistance against efforts to erase memory. The research employed content analysis with a qualitative descriptive approach. Data consisting of narrative excerpts, dialogues, and descriptive passages were examined using three levels of meaning: denotation, connotation, and myth. The findings showed that the five central symbols in the novel namely the sea, waves, four plates prepared every Sunday, the poem “On the Day of My Death,” and fish constructed layered meanings that functioned not only as aesthetic devices but also as ideological representations. These symbols illustrated how political violence penetrated domestic life, how the natural landscape was used to mask brutality, and how words persisted even when the body no longer existed. The study indicated that symbolism in the novel played an important role in shaping readers’ understanding of history, memory, and human suffering. It also demonstrated that literature can serve as a space to preserve memory and to foster conversations about past violence

Abstract

The assessment aims to demonstrate the level of competency mastery of students and the effectiveness of the learning methods applied by educators. Based on interviews conducted with Indonesian language teachers of eighth grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Sumbang, it was found that the level of student achievement of the minimum passing grade (KKM) in the Final Year Assessment was still relatively low. The quality of the questions greatly determines the effectiveness of assessing student competency. This study aims to analyze the quality of the final assessment questions for the Indonesian language subject for eighth grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Sumbang for the 2024/2025 academic year. This study used a quantitative approach with a descriptive method. The research object consisted of 45 PAT questions with a sample of 144 students. Data were obtained through documentation techniques and analyzed using a classical test theory approach assisted by the Anates application. The analysis focused on the aspects of validity, reliability, difficulty level, discriminating power, and effectiveness of distractors. The results showed that the quality of PAT items still varied and did not fully meet the criteria for a quality assessment instrument. Some items were not valid, the test reliability coefficient was low, the difficulty level distribution was not balanced, the discriminating power of some items was still weak, and most distractors did not function optimally.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the factors that influence the success of poetry-writing instruction among students in public senior high schools in Purwokerto using a quantitative approach with Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA). A total of 674 students from five public senior high schools were selected through cluster sampling. The research instrument consisted of a 39-item Likert-scale questionnaire that had undergone content validation using Aiken’s V and reliability testing with Cronbach’s Alpha (0.948). The KMO value (0.944) and Bartlett’s Test of Sphericity confirmed that the data were suitable for factor analysis. The EFA results revealed seven principal factors explaining 62.4% of the total variance, which include dominant dimensions related to students’ psychological readiness, learning engagement, learning experiences, teacher support, classroom climate, and other external supporting factors. These findings indicate that the success of poetry writing instruction is multidimensional and shaped by the interplay of internal motivation, pedagogical strategies, and a supportive learning environment. The results are expected to serve as a foundation for developing more effective, creative, and contextually relevant poetry-learning strategies aligned with students’ needs.

Abstract

The rapid development of 21st-century technology requires innovation in vocational education, particularly in strengthening reading and writing literacy skills that are relevant to workplace demands. However, literacy activities in vocational schools are still dominated by conventional learning materials and have not been optimally integrated with vocational contexts or digital approaches. This study aims to analyze teachers’ and students’ needs for the development of a game-based vocational reading and writing literacy e-module at SMK Negeri Jateng Di Purbalingga. The research employed a research and development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, focusing on the analysis stage. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, and observations involving two Indonesian language teachers and students from grades X and XI. Qualitative data were analyzed descriptively, while quantitative data were analyzed using percentage techniques. The findings reveal that both teachers and students perceive the development of a game-based digital literacy module integrated with vocational content as highly necessary. Teachers emphasized the need for contextual, interactive, and industry-relevant learning materials, while students expressed strong interest in game-based learning to support literacy activities. Therefore, a game-based vocational reading and writing literacy e-module has strong potential to enhance students’ motivation, engagement, and literacy competence in vocational education.
