Abstract

The language skills of teachers in special schools (Sekolah Luar Biasa/SLB) possess specific characteristics and must be continuously improved. Language habituation for special students is a reflection of their daily communication skills. The teacher's need for classroom management for special students becomes a new challenge because teachers are expected to optimize the use of language in the classroom to enhance students' communication skills directly. Based on the background of the problem, it is essential to conduct a clinical pedagogical analysis for teachers in dealing with problems that occur in the classroom, especially in language learning and communication for special students at SLB B Yakut Purwokerto. In order to answer the formulation of the problem, this study employed a qualitative approach to answer the clinical-pedagogical analysis conducted. The analytical instruments include (1) analysis of vocal abilities such as tone, articulation, pronunciation, application of intonation in learning; (2) analysis of self-expression abilities such as mimics and gestures in learning; and (3) the attitude and mentality of communication in learning. Based on the results of the learning analysis, it shows that the teacher's language skills still need to be improved. On a scale of 100, the results of the analysis of four language skills in SLB teacher learning comprise of communication skills which are 8.2, and class management 7.8. The development of communication and interaction-based learning media acquired 7.0 by implementing learning media technology to initiate creative ideas from teachers of SLB B Yakut Purwokerto, which later can be a good atmosphere for other schools. Teachers improve pedagogic knowledge and competence in optimizing learning situations through quality and fun interactive learning. All teachers realize the urgency of mastering speaking skills: emphasizing essential points, intonation, clear articulation; hence, special students can understand the material quickly in enhancing students' abilities.

Abstract

Tuturan dalam gelar wicara tokoh publik merupakan data bahasa yang merepresentasikan keadaan sebenarnya dan teknik komunikasi paling ideal. Kajian ini membahas interjeksi dari perspektif sosiopragmatik yang dituturkan oleh Joko Widodo selaku tokoh politik tertinggi di Indonesia. Kajian ini diharapkan mampu mendeskripsikan penggunaan, pemanfaatan, dan dampak tuturan Joko Widodo berdasar pada perspektif sosiopragmatik. Guna menghimpun data penelitian yang sahih, pendekatan yang digunakan untuk memecahkan masalah tersebut adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis isi tuturan Jokowi dalam gelar wicara mengenai Covid-19. Data dianalisis secara interaktif yang terdiri atas pengumpulan data, kondensasi, penyajian, dan penarikan simpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Joko Widodo menggunakan beberapa interjeksi sebagai strategi tuturnya yang paling dominan pada interjeksi partikel, sedangkan interjeksi lain yang sering digunakan antara lain adverbial, verba, frasa, kalimat dan, istilah; (2) beberapa fungsi yang kerap digunakan Joko Widodo selaku tokoh publik tentu memiliki tujuan yang beragam, tetapi fungsi interjeksi paling dominan yang sering digunakan adalah konatif mengenai wacana Covid-19 yang tengah dirasakan oleh masyarakat; dan (3) secara umum, dampak paling terlihat dari analisis sosiopragmatik yang dilakukan adalah munculnya kepatuhan, kesiapan, kesepakatan, serta reaksi lain yang ditunjukkan oleh mitra tutur terkait wacana Covid-19 yang sempat menaikkan level kesiagaan dan kebijakan pemerintah Indonesia.

Abstract

Efficacy is teachers’ ability to strengthen their self-motivation to help solve learning problems faced by their students. In the learning process, psychopragmatic mastery is expected to strengthen the psychological condition of teachers and students through informative, manipulative, and persuasive sentences so that each student can optimize learning tools to help them achieve learning goals. During the pandemic, it is important to examine teachers’ self-efficacy and psychopragmatics mastery to support students in addressing their online learning difficulties. A qualitative study to investigate these issues was therefore conducted. Participants of this study were teachers from all over Indonesia, consisting of 350 middle and high school teachers. Data were collected through (1) a survey of teacher efficacy during online learning, (2) observations of the forms of efficacy built by the teachers during learning activities and outside the classroom, (3) interviews with the teachers to identify forms of efficacy used to shape students' learning fundamentals. It was found that the teachers tended to increase their efficacy through strong lesson planning. In addition, they often modified learning tools so that the multimedia used could foster enthusiasm and learning motivation for both themselves and the students. The teacher's efficacy in teaching is the key to analysis in psychopragmatic studies because data in the form of snippets of teacher speech can influence student motivation. Psychopragmatics in the teaching and learning process is not only considered the psychology of language that is practiced in learning the Indonesian language, but teachers also have internalized psychological reinforcement in the learning activity that has been planned, implemented, and assessed.Keywords: efficacy, learning difficulties, psychopragmatics, online classEfikasi diri guru dalam menghadapi kesulitan pembelajaran daring siswa: Sebuah studi psikopragmatik dalam pembelajaran bahasa IndonesiaEfikasi adalah kemampuan guru untuk memperteguh motivasi diri sendiri dalam mem­bantu memecahkan masalah belajar yang dihadapi siswanya. Dalam proses pembel­ajaran, penguasaan psikopragmatik diharapkan dapat memperkuat kondisi psikologis guru dan siswa melalui kalimat-kalimat yang informatif, manipulatif, dan persuasif sehingga setiap siswa dapat mengoptimalkan perangkat pembelajaran untuk membantu mereka mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Di masa pandemi, penting untuk mengkaji efikasi diri guru dan penguasaan psikopragmatik untuk mendukung siswa dalam mengatasi kesulitan belajar daring mereka. Oleh karena itu, sebuah studi kualitatif untuk menyeli­diki masalah ini dilakukan. Partisipan penelitian ini adalah para guru yang tersebar di seluruh Indonesia, terdiri atas 350 guru SMP dan SMA. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui (1) survei efikasi guru selama pembelajaran daring, (2) observasi terhadap bentuk efikasi yang dibangun oleh guru selama kegiatan pembelajaran dan di luar kelas, (3) wawancara dengan guru untuk mengetahui bentuk efikasi yang digunakan. untuk mem­bentuk dasar belajar siswa. Berdasarkan data ditemukan bahwa guru cenderung mening­katkan keefektifannya melalui perencanaan pembelajaran yang kuat. Selain itu, mereka sering memodifikasi perangkat pembelajaran agar multimedia yang digunakan dapat me­numbuhkan semangat dan motivasi belajar baik bagi diri sendiri maupun bagi siswa. Efikasi guru dalam mengajar menjadi kunci analisis dalam kajian psikopragmatik karena data berupa potongan tuturan guru dapat mempengaruhi motivasi belajar siswa. Psiko­pragmatik dalam proses belajar mengajar tidak hanya mempertimbangkan psikologi ba­hasa yang dipraktikkan dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia, tetapi keterampilan guru dalam menginternalisasi penguatan psikologis pada kegiatan pembelajaran yang telah direncanakan, dilaksanakan, dan dinilai.Kata Kunci: efikasi, kesulitan pembelajar, psikopragmatik, kelas daring

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve the learning outcomes of class VIII students in writing explanatory texts through the Mind-Mapping learning method. Learning outcomes can be achieved in accordance with learning objectives through the role of educators in developing interactive learning tools. The Mind-Mapping learning method is an interactive method that can improve students' explanatory text writing skills. The application of the Mind-Mapping method at SMP Negeri 1 Sokaraja through classroom action research includes four steps, namely: (1) planning; (2) action; (3) observation; and (4) reflection. The results of this study indicate an increase in student learning outcomes in the skills of writing explanatory texts in pre-cycle, cycle I, and cycle II. The 8 aspects of the assessment have increased from the pre-cycle stage to cycle II. The average ability of students to write explanatory texts in pre-cycle was 5.5, cycle I was 7.12 and cycle II was 8.62. The application of the Mind-Mapping learning method can be an alternative in improving the ability to write explanatory texts in class VIII students.

Abstract

The development of technology in the digital era is increasingly prevalent and sophisticated. One of them is the development of gadgets which is characterized by the increasing number of features and applications offered from each gadget development company. This research focuses on describing and explaining the use of gadgets in schools to support and support academic activities in the school environment. Research is in the form of qualitative descriptive research using a case study approach. The source of data in this school is the academic activities contained in the school environment. The research data was obtained by conducting observations and interviews with several speakers. The collected research data is then analyzed using interweaving analysis techniques and interactive analysis, with the following stages of the data reduction process, the data presentation process, and finally the conclusion drawing process. To test the validity of the data used data triangulation techniques. The results of the research obtained, at the research site, it turned out that the role of gadgets was used to support and support the learning process. The gadgets used include laptops, cellphones, and computers. The three varieties of gadgets are used by students and teachers as a means of facilitating communication, disseminating information, means of obtaining and finding references, making learning administration and learning media, as well as other supporting activities such as counting fungi, making applications, and programming. So, it can be said that gadgets have a supporting and supporting function in academic activities at school.

Abstract

Teachers' classroom management skills can be seen in their language teaching skills. This study aimed to (1) develop an online assessment model to measure teachers' pragmagogy ability in Indonesia and (2) measure teachers' ability to respond to pragmagogy-related stimuli. This study uses a DD approach to answer the problem formulation determined during model design, development, and evaluation. The sample included 3,150 primary, secondary, and advanced Indonesian teachers. Functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability, and portability were validated. This study explained the formulated pragmagogy construction through exploratory factor analysis. Stress testing and installation testing were used to broaden the application's reach. Based on the initial analysis, the online assessment model concludes that the teacher's pragmagogy ability can determine knowledge, skills, and attitudes. Teachers' pragmagogy ability can be determined through pedagogic knowledge as the framework for roles and figures in the form of thinking; reflective and emotional intelligence; ability in instructional communication patterns; and other aspects to realize pragmagogic competence. The use of pragmagogy measurement applications can examine various approaches chosen by teachers to maximize the teaching-learning process in the classroom through interactive, responsive, persuasive, implicative, locution, illocution, perlocution approaches to describe the pragamagogical competencies possessed by teachers in classroom management that is interesting and fun for their students.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the implementation of the boarding school education system. In boarding schools, there are students living in dormitories and outside dormitories. This does not deny that there will be differences in the condition of the student. No exception to the writing skills and characteristics of news texts. This study aims to determine the comparison of writing skills and news text characteristics between boarding and non-boarding students. This research is a comparative research with a qualitative descriptive approach conducted at MTs Al Ikhsan Beji, Kedungbanteng. Data collection techniques in this study used performance, documentation, and interview methods. The results showed that; (1) there are differences in the writing skills of news texts of boarding and non-boarding students; (2) the news text writing skills of boarding students are slightly better than non-boarding students; and (3) the most striking characteristic differences between boarding and non-boarding student news texts are in the selection of venues and topics. The conclusion of this study provides related suggestions when learning to write news texts, teachers should use methods that make students feel happy, and in writing news texts, teachers should also assign news text editing, so that student news text results are minimal.

Abstract

Online learning planning presents unique challenges that aspiring teachers must prepare for. This study aims to identify potential teachers' perspectives on designing technology-based instruction. Competency dimensions were created based on the findings of focused group discussions (FGD) with teachers and lecturers, which resulted in aspects of social networking, managing digital identity, filtering, creating content, and reusing. Following the FGD, indicators of nine dimensions"”pre-learning, opening planning, material mastery, learning models, learning resources, student involvement, assessment of processes and results, interaction mastery, and closing learning"”were created. Samples were taken through simple random sampling of 250 prospective teachers in education study programs at Jenderal Soedirman University, Sebelas Maret University, IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro, PGRI University Yogyakarta, and Surabaya State University. From these competencies, construction testing through confirmatory factor analysis shows a chi-s Square of 1063.59 with df= 32 (required criteria for chi-s Square < 2df), p-value 0.000 (required criteria ≥ 0.05), even though the Root value of the Mean Square Error of Approximation (RMSEA) has met the required criteria of ≤ 0.08, namely 0.072. Testing on the measurement model generated 32 items and nine indicators of prospective teachers' perceptions of planning technology-based learning. The four competencies of pre-learning, planning to open learning, and closing learning have the highest scale of abilities attained. The learning resources and media created by future teachers have the lowest aptitude.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan memberikan pemahaman nilai-nilai karakter Jenderal Soedirman kepada siswa SD Negeri 4 Teluk. Setiap pertemuan tim pengabdian memberikan materi kepada siswa dengan melibatkan siswa di dalam kegiatan ini. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman siswa sebelum dan sesudah dibekali nilai-nilai karakter Jenderal Soedirman. Siswa dapat mengetahui cara implementasi nilai-nilai karakter Jenderal Soedirman dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Pembentukan karakter Jenderal Soedirman ini dilaksanakan secara bertahap, yaitu adanya pembelajaran, keteladanan, dan penguatan. Pembelajaran dilakukan dengan memberikan materi terkait dengan nilai-nilai karakter. Keteladanan dilakukan dengan memberikan contoh konkret pahlawana yang dapat diteladani nilai-nilai karakternya. Selanjutrnya, penguatan dilakukan dengan memberikan penugasan merangkum video atau buku cerita Jenderal Soedirman. Kata Kunci: pemahaman; nilai-nilai karakter; Jenderal Soedirman

Abstract

Pada kurikulum merdeka, peran guru memiliki tujuan sentral jika dilihat dari perencanaan kelas sampai pada penilaian. Pada tingkat PAUD, guru dituntut mampu menggiring kelas untuk mengikuti celoteh siswa sehingga anak dapat menemukan pengalaman belajar yang menyenangkan dan sesuai kebutuhannya. Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan melalui teknik coaching dan penugasan pada guru dengan karakteristik tertentu yang telah ditunjuk di TK Pertiwi 25.10 Debong Tengah Kota Tegal. Pelaksnaan pengabdian masyarakat dilaksanakan pada saat project management office (PMO) yakni pada bulan Januari dan Maret 2023. Guna memperoleh kredibilitas data maka hasil penugasan dan coaching dikonfirmasi melalui observasi dan wawancara. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah peningkatan perencanaan dalam menentukan modul ajar yang digunakan di kelas. Selain itu, terjadi peningkatan komunikasi antarguru dalam interaksi belajar mengajar guna menyamakan tujuan pembelajaran yang ingin dicapai dan solusi alternatif perangkat pembelajaran yang dibutuhkan oleh guru. Setiap proses pembelajaran yang didesain oleh guru adalah hasil diskusi antarguru yang dilaporkan kepada kepala sekolah.
