Abstract

Critical thinking ability is the skill level of complex thinking individuals use to solve problems. This study aimed to describe the critical thinking ability of Madrasah Aliyah students with their respective cognitive styles, namely verbalizer and visualizer, in solving geometric transformation problems. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study type. The research subjects were selected by purposive sampling, with one student each using a verbalizer and visualizer cognitive style. The data collection techniques used were tests and interviews. The data validity test used in this study was technical triangulation, which was then analyzed by data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that students with a verbalizer cognitive style had level 5 critical thinking ability, namely, advanced thinkers, characterized by students being able to explain strategies coherently and guess alternative solutions but not yet able to explain them. Meanwhile, students with a visualizer cognitive style have level 4 critical thinking ability, namely The practising thinker, characterized by students being able to solve problems but not yet being able to explain what is being done and not knowing the alternative solutions that can be used.Keywords: Critical Thinking Levels, Problem Solving, Verbalizer-Visualizer Cognitive Style

Abstract

Quartet Mathematics Card (QUE-TARD) apat membantu siswa dalam memahami materi bangun datar dan bangun ruang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pengembangan kartu kuartet matematika QUE-TARD yang valid dan praktis sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran geometri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu research and development (RnD) dengan model ADDIE. Produk yang dikembangkan berupa media pembelajaran kartu kuartet matematika QUE-TARD yang diuji cobakan pada salah satu kelas di SMP Negeri 1 Pandaan. Proses pengembangan terdiri dari lima tahap yang dilakukan dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran kartu kuartet matematika QUE-TARD yaitu: Pertama, tahap analisis menunjukkan kurangnya media pembelajaran membuat siswa kurang tertarik dalam memahami materi matematika. Kedua, tahap desain yaitu Peneliti merancang bidang kajian dan komponen QUE-TARD. Ketiga, tahap pengembangan yang kemudian melalui proses validasi oleh ahli materi, pembelajaran, media, bahasa dan praktisi secara berturut-turut persentasenya yaitu 91%; 89%; 94%; 67%; 91%. Keempat, tahap implementasi yang menunjukkan tidak ada kendala dalam penggunaan media pembelajaran. Kelima, tahap evaluasi yang menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran QUE-TARD dinyatakan valid dan praktis untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Berdasarkan proses tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa QUE-TARD layak dijadikan sebagai media pembelajaran pada materi geometri.

Abstract

The training activities carried out by the Makassar State University service team are a form of community empowerment program. The training carried out is an idea from the utilization of waste waste in the FT UNM environment. The purpose of this training is to empower cleaning service personnel at the Faculty of Engineering, Makassar State University (FT-UNM) by providing insight into skills in managing organic waste into compost. Furthermore, this training involved 20 FT cleaning service people. The training stages carried out by the service team include the stages of training and counseling, namely by providing training to cleaning services on ways to sort organic and inorganic waste and basic techniques for making compost fertilizer. Provision of a processing area, namely by providing a place for processing organic waste into compost, such as a special area in the FT-UNM environment which is equipped with the necessary equipment. Organic Waste Collection is taught how to identify and collect organic waste generated at FT-UNM, such as food waste, leaves, and other organic waste. The composting process is by teaching composting techniques which include mixing organic materials, aeration, and maintenance so that the composting process runs well. Utilization and marketing is after the compost is ready, it can be used for greening needs on campus or sold to the surrounding community as a product that has economic value.

Abstract

Jamik Sumenep Mosque, a heritage site of the Sumenep Kingdom, was built to emphasize the acculturation of Chinese, Islamic, and Madurese cultures. This ethnomathematics research aims to reveal and explore the fractal geometry forms in the gateway of Jamik Sumenep Mosque. This study employed qualitative methods with an ethnographic approach. Research data were gathered through observation, field notes, documentation, interviews, and literature studies. Field observations were computationally analyzed using the Lindenmayer system through the L-Studio application to examine fractal shapes. The study found that the length and angle size of the ornamental parts form the basis of fractal geometry in the mosque gateway's ornamentation, thereby confirming the presence of fractal geometry concepts. These findings can be utilized in teaching fractal geometry, applied mathematics, and computational geometry. Further research could explore non-Euclidean geometry methods, such as stochastic L-system methods.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a valid ALMAJRITI (Aplikasi Matematika Jago Program Linier Interaktif) learning media and to determine student responses. Student responses were obtained from questionnaires and tests (pre-test and post-test). The study conducted is in the form of R&D with ADDIE steps. Media, learning, material, IT (Information Technology), language, and practitioners experts validate the media. The validation results obtained from each validator sequentially are 100% (very valid), 85% (very valid), 84.62% (very valid), 70% (valid), 87.5% (very valid), 96 ,87% (very valid). The media is very valid if it gets 75% or more. Overall, the media obtained a very valid assessment result of 87.33%, so the media was feasible to use. Meanwhile, the test instrument was validated by a material expert. The media was tested in class XI IPA 3 MAN 1 Blitar. The use of media shows a positive student response. More than 65% of students gave a positive response based on the questionnaire results. In addition, the average pre-test was 17.07, the post-test was 77.5, and the percentage increase in student learning outcomes was 405%. Thus, there is an increase in student learning outcomes before and after using ALMAJRITI. This increase shows a positive response from students to the ALMAJRITI. Therefore, it can be concluded that the ALMAJRITI media is valid and feasible to be used as a learning resource for class XI students

Abstract

This study aimed to explore the arithmetic sequence pattern found in Minangkabau carvings mounted on singok gonjong. The method used is a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach. Data was collected by observation, interviews, literature studies, and documentation. The object of this study is Minangkabau carving on singok gonjong. The data obtained in this study came fromdirect observation, results of interviews with Minang carving craftsmen, documentation, and literature studies. The results showed three kinds of arithmetic sequence patterns in Minang carvings in singok gonjong. The first is the arithmetic sequence pattern on the saik galamai carving with formula Un = n. The second is the pattern of odd and even arithmetic sequences on the sikambang manih carving wtih the odd formula U(2n+1) = 3n + 1 and the even formula U(2n) = 3n. The last is the pattern of odd and even arithmetic sequences on the combined engraving of saik galamai and sikambang manih wtih the odd formula U(2n+1) = 4n + 1 and the even formula U(2n) = 4n. The conclusion shows that the presence of patterns on the saik galamai carvings and sikambang manih carvings found on Singok Gonjong can be used as a preference for learning arithmetic sequences at school

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran media sosial Instagram dalam meningkatkan strategi pemasaran kopi “Kampong Kopi Bawakaraeng” di Kabupaten Gowa serta mengidentifikasi hambatan-hambatan yang dihadapi dalam pemanfaatannya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi terhadap pengelola Kampong Kopi Bawakaraeng. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Instagram berperan penting dalam memperkuat strategi pemasaran melalui fitur-fitur seperti Feed, Stories, Reels, dan Live yang digunakan untuk memperkenalkan produk, membangun interaksi dengan konsumen, serta meningkatkan brand awareness dan citra positif produk kopi lokal. Instagram juga berfungsi sebagai sarana komunikasi dua arah yang efektif antara produsen dan konsumen, sekaligus sebagai media edukasi dan pembentukan komunitas pecinta kopi. Namun, pemanfaatan Instagram belum berjalan optimal karena terdapat berbagai hambatan, baik internal maupun eksternal. Hambatan internal meliputi keterbatasan sumber daya manusia, kurangnya kemampuan teknis dalam pembuatan konten digital, serta keterbatasan fasilitas dan anggaran promosi. Hambatan eksternal mencakup keterbatasan jaringan internet, rendahnya literasi digital masyarakat, serta persaingan dengan merek kopi lain di media sosial. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan peningkatan kapasitas digital pengelola, dukungan infrastruktur, serta kolaborasi dengan berbagai pihak untuk mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan Instagram sebagai media pemasaran yang efektif dan berkelanjutan bagi pengembangan produk kopi lokal.

Abstract

English: This research aims to describe the concept of the arithmetic sequence pattern in the Hadrah dance performed by the Bangeran village community. This research is a qualitative research with an ethnographic approach with the research subjects are Hadrah art performers in Bangeran village and the object of research is Hadrah dance. The technique used to collect data in this study consisted of three ways, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. While, the data analysis technique used is the data analysis technique of Miles and Huberman which includes data reduction, data exposure, and drawing conclusions. Results of the study was showed that there was a mathematical concept contained in the Hadrah movement, namely the concept of an arithmetic sequence pattern. This concept is used to find how many dance terms a movement occurs in the nth repetition. The formula for finding the terms of a movement that occurs on the nth repetition is to determine movement one = 7n-6, movement two = 7n-5, movement three = 7n-4, movement four = 7n-3, movement five = 7n- 2, movement six = 7n-1, and movement seven = 7n. Indonesian: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan konsep pola barisan aritmetika pada tarian Hadrah yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat desa Bangeran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi dengan subjek penelitian merupakan pemain kesenian Hadrah di desa Bangeran dan objek penelitiannya adalah tarian Hadrah. Teknik yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data pada penelitian ini terdiri atas tiga cara, yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan, teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis data Miles and Huberman yang meliputi reduksi data, pemaparan data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya konsep matematika yang terdapat dalam gerakan Hadrah, yaitu konsep pola barisan aritmetika. Konsep ini digunakan untuk mencari suku tarian ke berapa suatu gerakan terjadi pada pengulangan ke-n . Diperoleh rumus untuk mencari suku suatu gerakan yang terjadi pada pengulangan ke-n adalah untuk menentukan gerakan satu = 7n - 6 , gerakan dua = 7n - 5, gerakan tiga = 7n - 4, gerakan empat = 7n - 3, gerakan lima = 7n - 2, gerakan enam = 7n - 1, dan gerakan tujuh = 7n.

Abstract

One of the fundamental skills that students need to have in order to understand mathematics completely and deeply is the ability to understand mathematical concepts. Planning, action, observation and reflection are the four stages of this research which is a type of classroom action research (PTK). This research uses the Discovery Learning learning model on trigonometry material to improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts. The population of this research was students of class X IPS 4 MAN Batu City, totaling 36 students. Research methods for collecting data include observation and learning achievement tests each cycle. The findings of this research indicate that the Discovery Learning learning model can help students better understand mathematical ideas. This conclusion was obtained using data on the average posttest score of students' mathematical conceptual knowledge which fell by 6.7 points along with an increase in completeness from cycle I to cycle II by 56.3% to 63.8%. Based on the results of this research, teachers can help their students understand mathematical concepts, especially those related to trigonometry, by changing the discovery learning paradigm. Keywords: Discovery learning, understanding mathematical concepts, trigonometry ABSTRAK Salah satu keterampilan mendasar yang perlu dimiliki siswa agar dapat memahami matematika secara utuh dan mendalam adalah kemampuan memahami konsep matematika. Perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi merupakan empat tahapan penelitian ini yang merupakan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini menggunakan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning pada materi trigonometri untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X IPS 4 MAN Kota Batu yang berjumlah 36 siswa. Metode penelitian untuk mengumpulkan data meliputi observasi dan tes prestasi belajar setiap siklus. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Discovery Learning dapat membantu siswa lebih memahami ide matematika. Kesimpulan ini diperoleh dengan menggunakan data rata-rata skor posttest pengetahuan konseptual matematika siswa yang turun sebesar 6,7 poin seiring dengan peningkatan ketuntasan dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 56,3% menjadi 63,8%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, guru dapat membantu siswanya memahami konsep matematika, khususnya yang berkaitan dengan trigonometri, dengan mengganti paradigma pembelajaran penemuan. Abstract

This research aims to find out how effective the use of Liveworksheet-Based Interactive LKPD is in improving students' mathematics learning outcomes in class and Post-Test with 5 essay questions. The data analysis methods applied are normality test, homogeneity test and paired t test. From the data from the t test analysis results, there is a significant difference between learning outcomes in pre-test and post-test scores on derivative application material. And this is also proven by the results of the t test which received a significance of 0.00 < 0.05. If the significance value is <0.05, then H0 is rejected and it can be concluded that "there is a difference in students' mathematics learning outcomes before using the liveworksheet-based interactive LKPD and after using the liveworksheet-based interactive LKPD". And it can be concluded that the live worksheet based LKPD on Derivative Application material is effectively applied in improving the learning outcomes of class XI Religion students at MAN 2 Malang. Keywords: LKPD Interactive, Liveworksheet, Learning Outcomes ABSTRAK Dalam penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa efektif penggunaan LKPD Interaktif Berbasis Liveworksheet dalam meningkatan hasil belajar matematika siswa di kelas XI Agama MAN 2 Malang pada Kompetensi Dasar 3.9 dan Indikator Pencapaian Pembelajaran 3.9.4 materi aplikasi turunan, Metode pengumpulan data yang diterapkan Pre-Test dan Post-Test sebanyak 5 soal essay. Metode analisis data yang diterapkan adalah uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan uji t berpasangan. Dari data hasil analisis uji t test terdapat signifikansi perbedaan antara hasil belajar dalam nilai pre-test dan Post-Test pada materi aplikasi turunan. Dan ini dibuktikan pula dari hasil uji t yang mendapat Signifikansi 0,00 < 0,05. Jika nilai Signifikansi < 0,05, karena itu H0 ditolak dan disimpulkan “adanya perbedaan hasil belajar Matematika peserta didik sebelum menggunakan LKPD Interaktif berbasis liveworksheet dan sesudah menggunakan LKPD Interaktif berbasis liveworksheet”. Dan ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKPD berbasis liveworksheet pada materi Aplikasi Turunan efektif diterapkan dalam Peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XI Agama MAN 2 Malang.
