Abstract

Demand for potatoes from time to time is increasing. Therefore it is necessary to increase the productivity of potatoes through appropriate cultivation techniques especially in new potato varieties. This study aims to determine the effect of NPK (16:16:16) fertilizer dosage on the growth and yield of two potato varieties in the highlands. The design used was factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK) using 2 factors. The first factor was the aplication of NPK fertilizer with 3 levels, namely P0 = without fertilizer, P1 = 400 kg fertilizer NPK ha-1  and P2 = 800 kg NPK fertilizer ha-1. The second factor is the type of variety with 2 levels, V1 = Granola L and V2 = Granolla Arjuno. Of these two factors, there were six treatment, Each treatment was repeated 3 times. There are two observed variables which are growth variables (plant height, number of stems, number of leaves and stem diameter) and yield variables (number of tubers,  weight of , tuber per plot and per hectare). The data collected was analyzed based on F Test at the level of 5% and LSD test 5%. The results showed that the best plant growth was Granolla Arjuno variety with a dose of NPK fertilizer 400 kg ha-1 (P1V2). While the treatment that gives the highest results is Granolla Arjuno variety with a dose of N-P-K fertilizer 400 kg ha-1 (P1V2)

Abstract

Perlakuan intensitas bunyi 50 dB memberikan bobot kering biji tanaman tertinggi yaitu sebesar 14,80 g tanaman-1. Intensitas bunyi 80 dB menghasilkan laju pertumbuhan relatif (LPR) terbesar yaitu 1,99 g g-1 hari-1.

Abstract

One of the medicinal plants known to the public is the superior plant (crassocephalum crepidioides). This plant is a shrub that grows wild in the tropics and sub-tropics. The aim of the study was to determine the interaction between the type of manure and the concentration of boron and the effect of manure and boron concentration on the growth and quality of crassocephalum crepidioides. The method used is factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD). Factor 1 is manure namely Po = No Fertilizer, P1 = Chicken Manure 50 gr/Polybag, P2 = Goat Manure 50 gr/Polybag and P3 = Cow Manure 50 gr/Polybaq. The recommended dosage used is 20 tons / ha. Factor 2 is giving Boron namely Bo = No Boron, B1 = 50 ppm / L, B2 = 100 ppm / L and B3 = 150 ppm/L. Analysis of variance (Test F) with a level of 5% and a follow-up test with Honest Real Difference (BNJ) level of 5%. The results of the type of cow manure (P3) gave a significant effect on the number of branches (8.11 branches), leaf area (1810.08 cm2), and trimmed dry weight of tanman (9.57 g) for cow manure (P3) and ( 6.27 g) for goat manure (P3). The treatment of giving Boron does not show a significant difference in the growth and yield of juntung plants.

Abstract

Compared to non-family controlled firms, family controlled firms have a stronger desire to maintain control to protect their highly valuable private benefits of control and firmspecific human capital. With substantial wealth and human capital at risk, family owners tend to be more risk averse than non-family owners, and also have stronger intention to reduce the prospect of financial distress and bankruptcy. These unique characteristics of family firms potentially make their capital structure decisions different from those of nonfamily firms. Panel data from 137 publicly listed firms in Indonesia from 1996 to 2005 were used to investigate the impact of family control on capital structure decisions. This study found that the family firm’s capital structure follows a pattern which is aligned with Financial distress cost hypothesis (complement). Result indicates that family really put risk as consideration, while non-family firm’s capital structure follow a pattern which is aligned with the agency cost hypothesis (substitute). Further analyses using the simultaneous equations system support the argument that family firms in Indonesia use dividend, leverage, debt maturity and leasing interchangeably to reduce financial distress cost, while their non-family counterparts tend to employ capital structure decisions to reduce agency cost Key words: Family controlled firms, capital structure decisions, agency problem

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract: To increase the amount of production of cauliflower can be done by developing flower cultivation in the lowlands and increasing input in the form of fertilizer. Inorganic fertilizer application of excess leads to reduced soil fertility. Organic fertilizer from tofu waste water can be used as an alternative to reduce the use of inorganic fertilizers. The aim of this study was to find out tofu waste water’s potency as organic liquid fertilizer by observing the optimal concentration for growth and yeild of cauliflower plant (Brassica oleraceae var.botrytis L.). The research method used was a single factor randomized block design (RAK), namely the concentration of POC with 6 treatments and repeated 4 times, A (control), B (POC 10%), C (POC 15%), D (POC 20%), E (25%), F (POC 30%). The results of experiment showed that the concentration of POC tofu waste water did not significantly affect the growth parameters. However, it had significant effect on the cauliflower yield parameters. The highest yields in the B treatment (POC 10%) give diameter of cauliflower (3,59 cm), the weight cauliflower with leaves (30,91 g), and weight cauliflower without leaves (25,41 g).

Abstract

The establishment of option prices is one of the crucial aspects in derivative trade. Black-Scholes model (BSM) is one of the most popular models of option price establishment. The option exchanges such as CBOE, HKEX, and NSE use this model to determine the price options. Black-Scholes Model is modelled with stock price movement as a stochastic process. Another popular model is binomial model (BSM), originated from stock exchange movement model which divides interval time [0, T] into n equal length step. It holds several models to determine the value of up-move, down-move, and probability. Binomial model is categorised as Cox-Ross-Rubinstein, Jarrow-Rudd, and Leisen-Reimer. There are numerous literatures which discuss the relation between BM and BSM, including the convergence of binomial model and BSM. The former’s model which is often put side-by-side with BSM is Cox-Ross-Rubinstein. Even though this model is quite simple, it requires a lot, even thousands of steps to render Cox-Ross-Rubinstein to converge with BSM. It certainly takes a lot of time to calculate. Therefore, in this study, with limited steps, Jarrow-Rudd and Leisen-Reimer models are compared to BSM with the Cox-Ross-Rubinstein model. It aims to check on which binomial model is more convergent to BSM with limited steps in the same period. The data collected were secondary data from finance.yahoo.com. Judgemental sampling was used for technique sampling and several shares, with large market capitalization in Hongkong, India, and Indonesia are chosen. By calculating the MAFE error value from option price of BSM and BM, it is discovered that Leisen-Reimer with 101 steps is more convergent to BSM.
