Abstract

Sociometry is a method for assessing social relationships within groups developed by Jacob L. Moreno and has long been applied in guidance and counseling. This study aims to analyze the implementation of sociometry in guidance and counseling during the period 2000–2023 through a systematic thematic review approach. Data sources came from 42 open-access primary references cited in a recent systematic literature review. The thematic analysis identified five main themes: (1) theoretical foundations and validity of sociometry; (2) the evolution of applications from individual diagnostics to systemic analysis; (3) intervention effectiveness and stability of social status; (4) practical and ethical challenges in the school context; and (5) the paradox between scientific validity and practicality of implementation. The results indicate that sociometry remains recognized as the gold standard for measuring social status, peer relationships, and classroom climate, with convergent validity confirmed through significant correlations with standard instruments such as the SSRS and CBCL (r = −.20 to .24, p < .01). However, its implementation faces serious obstacles: high stability of rejected status (e.g., children with ADHD are more likely to be rejected even after intensive intervention), the risk of stigmatization, time and training constraints, and a gap between theoretical validity and practical adoption (only 3.64% of US schools use it for universal screening). Key gaps include the paucity of research on the fidelity-effectiveness relationship, the lack of modern psychometric validation, and the dominance of Western contexts. Recommendations include the adoption of the more accurate García Bacete (GB) classification model (92.3% behavioral validity for neglected status), the use of sociometry as a triangulation tool, the development of web-based digital tools, and ethical training for counselors and teachers. This study provides conceptual and practical contributions to strengthening evidence-based counseling in Indonesia and globally.

Abstract

White shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) is a high-value fishery commodity that is highly perishable due to rapid microbial growth, enzymatic activity, and lipid oxidation during storage. Chitosan is widely recognized for its antimicrobial and antioxidant properties, while gelatine derived from Ariid catfish swim bladders represents an underutilized fishery by-product with excellent film-forming, gelling, and oxygen-barrier properties. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of a composite edible coating based on shrimp chitosan and Ariid catfish swim bladder gelatine at different ratios in preserving the quality of white shrimp during chilled storage. Treatments consisted of chitosan–gelatin ratios of K (0:0), P1 (3:7), P2 (5:5), and P3 (7:3), with storage durations of 0, 24, 48, and 72 hours. Quality parameters assessed included thiobarbituric acid (TBA), total plate count (TPC), peroxide value (PV), total volatile basic nitrogen (TVBN), pH, weight loss, sensory attributes (appearance, texture, odor), and melanosis. The results demonstrated that edible coating application significantly affected TBA, TPC, PV, TVBN, pH, sensory quality, and melanosis (p 0.05), while no significant effect was observed on weight loss. The chitosan–gelatine coatings effectively inhibited microbial proliferation, oxidative degradation, and enzymatic activity, thereby extending shrimp freshness. The P3 formulation (7:3) showed the most optimal preservation performance, with TPC of 59.33 × 10³ CFU/g, PV of 3.33 meq/kg, TVBN of 24.31 mg N/100 g, pH of 7.14, and a melanosis score of 2.82 after 72 hours of storage. The synergistic combination of shrimp chitosan and Ariid catfish swim bladder gelatine provides an effective, biodegradable edible coating for extending the shelf life of white shrimp. This study highlights the potential application of fishery by-products as functional biopolymers, contributing to sustainable seafood preservation, value-added processing, and circular bioeconomy development.

Abstract

This study conducts a systematic literature review (SLR) of green marketing research in the hospitality industry from 2020 to 2025—a period characterized by post-pandemic recovery and intensified sustainability imperatives. Following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines, 82 peer-reviewed Scopus-indexed articles were analyzed using a combination of bibliometric mapping and thematic synthesis. The review reveals a sharp increase in scholarly output, led by contributions from Indonesia and China, indicating a geographical shift of sustainability discourse toward emerging economies. Thematic clustering identifies three dominant research streams: (1) guest psychological mechanisms, (2) strategic green branding and innovation, and (3) digital transformation in operationalizing green practices. Theoretically, the field remains anchored in the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and the Stimulus–Organism–Response (SOR) model, with growing integration of digital stimuli (e.g., Augmented Reality, Big Data) and mediators such as green trust and authenticity. Key research gaps include the persistent intention–behavior divide and the escalating risk of greenwashing skepticism. To address these issues, this study introduces the Integrated Green Hospitality Marketing Framework (IGHMF), which links organizational innovation with consumer psychology. The review offers a structured research agenda emphasizing longitudinal and cross-cultural studies to advance the transition from symbolic eco-labeling toward authentic, behavior-driven sustainability in hospitality marketing.

Abstract

The rapid growth of e-commerce in Indonesia, particularly the Shopee platform, has generated a large volume of user reviews on the Google Play Store, which can be analyzed to understand consumer sentiment. This study aims to compare the performance of the Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Random Forest (RF) algorithms in binary sentiment classification (positive and negative) on Shopee reviews, as well as to statistically test the significance of their differences using One-Way ANOVA. A total of 400,498 reviews were collected via web scraping, preprocessed through text normalization, tokenization, and Indonesian language stemming, and then feature-extracted using TF-IDF and Count Vectorizer. Evaluation results show that SVM achieved an accuracy of 91.77%, precision of 91.49%, recall of 91.77%, and F1-Score of 91.56%, while RF achieved an accuracy of 90.07%, precision of 91.68%, recall of 90.07%, and F1-Score of 90.55%. ANOVA confirmed that the performance difference between the two algorithms is statistically significant (p-value = 0.0007) with a large effect size (η² = 0.1815). Therefore, SVM is recommended as a more optimal and consistent algorithm for automated sentiment analysis of Indonesian e-commerce reviews, while also providing a replicable methodological framework for similar future research.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of folklore as a medium for group guidance in developing empathy and tolerance in high school students through a PRISMA-based systematic literature review (SLR) approach. The search method was carried out using the Scopus database using keywords related to folklore, group guidance, empathy, and tolerance for the period 2010-2024 with a focus on post-2015 studies for quantitative and digital evidence. The selection results yielded 50 articles that met the inclusion criteria for further analysis. Thematic analysis revealed that the integration of folklore with pedagogical techniques such as values clarification, sociodrama, and role-playing proved effective in developing empathy and tolerance in students. The psychosocial and neurocognitive mechanisms triggered by folklore support stereotype reduction, identity strengthening, and the development of social-emotional skills. The findings also indicate that digital storytelling is as effective as traditional methods, if not superior, in increasing student engagement and reflection. Key challenges include limited teacher training, limited cross-cultural research, and the lack of standardized measurement tools. Research recommendations lead to the development of an integrated curriculum, practice-based teacher training, the development of a digital platform, and the validation of a folklore-based empathy and tolerance measurement tool. These findings provide important implications for educational practitioners, school counselors, and policy makers in designing folklore-based interventions for character development and social-emotional competencies in secondary schools.

Abstract

Objectives: This study addresses the limited market penetration of PT. Mensa’s Animal Nutrition and Health (ANH) division in Indonesia’s feed-additive distribution market and aims to formulate prioritized competitive strategies to expand market share while strengthening business sustainability. Methodology: A mixed-method approach uses both qualitative interviews with internal managers, sales teams, customers, and expert principals, along with a quantitative analysis of existing data like company sales reports and industry publications. The strategy tools used one after another are Resource-Based View (RBV), Porter’s Five Forces, SWOT , TOWS matrix, and the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM). Findings: Sustainable advantages derive from supply chain integration, organic portfolios, and formula locking services. High trust and service requirements create significant entry barriers for new competitors. Evaluation reveals a strong internal position with a 3.00 IFAS score and moderate external responsiveness with a 2.75 EFAS score. The Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix identifies the Total Solution and Technical Intimacy strategy as the optimal choice with a 6.2 attractiveness score. Conclusion: This study identifies market stagnation and risk within the ANH Division due to concentrated sales sources. The research recommends the Total Solution and Technical Intimacy strategy to drive growth through vertical and horizontal integration. This approach builds loyalty in medium and small scale feed mills while enhancing farmer efficiency and supporting Sustainable Development Goals. The resulting framework directs the division toward a 20 percent market share by 2030 to ensure long term business sustainability.

Abstract

Traditional tourism pricing models often fail to explain the "Willingness-to-Pay (WTP) Paradox," where high environmental commitment among tourists does not translate into financial readiness. This study moves beyond generic satisfaction-loyalty frameworks by empirically adjudicating the structural mechanisms linking justice-based pricing antecedents to destination loyalty in volatile emerging markets. Using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) and Importance-Performance Matrix Analysis (IPMA) with a sample of 350 tourists, the research examines how price transparency, integrity, and social comparison influence behavioral intentions. The findings reveal a critical theoretical shift: price integrity significantly outperforms mere informational transparency in establishing perceived price fairness. Furthermore, the analysis validates a sequential dual-mediation framework, demonstrating that the path from pricing justice to loyalty is strictly contingent upon the formation of both perceived destination value and destination trust. IPMA results identify a structural asymmetry: these relational mediators—value and trust—have the highest predictive importance but exhibit suboptimal performance, placing them in the high-priority quadrant for intervention. This research extends Equity Theory by demonstrating that loyalty in nascent regulatory environments is anchored in institutional reliability rather than transient price advantages. Ultimately, it offers Destination Management Organizations (DMOs) a data-driven roadmap to harmonize pricing strategies and secure competitive resilience.
