Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk menganalisis kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematik serta tingkat kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematik peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan soal open-ended. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu tes soal open-ended dan wawancara tidak terstruktur. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah peneliti, soal open-ended, dan pedoman wawancara. Sumber data meliputi tempat yaitu SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Tasikmalaya pada peserta didik kelas X dengan aktivitas menyelesaikan tes soal open-ended pada sub pokok bahasan Sistem Persamaan Linear Tiga Variabel serta melakukan wawancara. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu data reduction, data display, dan conclusion drawing/verivication. Tiga indikator dalam kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematik yaitu kefasihan (fluency), fleksibilitas, dan kebaruan (novelty). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa S2 menunjukkan tingkat kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematik pada Tingkat 4, sangat kreatif dalam kefasihan, fleksibilitas, dan kebaruan. S15 menunjukkan tingkat kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematik pada Tingkat 3, kreatif dalam kefasihan dan fleksibilitas. S16 menunjukkan tingkat kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematik pada Tingkat 2, cukup kreatif dalam fleksibilitas. S17 menunjukkan tingkat kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematik pada Tingkat 1, kurang kreatif dalam fleksibilitas dan S9 menunjukkan tingkat kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematik pada Tingkat 0, tidak kreatif dalam semua indikator. Ini menunjukkan variasi kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematik di antara peserta didik. Hasil penelitian ini dapat berkontribusi dalam pengembangan kurikulum matematika yang lebih mendorong kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Implikasinya meliputi pengembangan instrumen penilaian yang lebih sesuai untuk mengukur kemampuan kreatif dalam matematika, penyediaan strategi pengajaran yang mempromosikan kreativitas siswa, dan dukungan untuk penelitian lebih lanjut dalam memahami faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematik siswa.

Abstract

Based on the research results of 31 students who experienced difficulty in understanding mathematical concepts, by using Research and Development (R&D), and developing interactive media with Edpuzzle with the ADDIE model after experimental treatment, in learning some students experienced an increase in understanding of mathematical concepts, but the results of the analysis This results in an effectiveness of 0.89 with the effective criteria. After treatment was carried out through the development of interactive learning media with edpuzzle with validity of 80.73% with valid criteria, practicality of 81.0% with very practical criteria. The results of these values ​​indicate that the media questionnaire results are suitable for use. The results of this research state that the development of interactive media with edpuzzle can effectively improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts.

Abstract

One of the important mathematical thinking skills that students master is critical thinking skills. In fact, students' mathematical critical thinking skills in Indonesia are still relatively low. One of the factors that cause students to have low mathematical critical thinking skills is the use of less creative media. This study was conducted by analyzing the effect of using H5P interactive media on mathematical critical thinking skills. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using H5P Interactive Media on the mathematical critical thinking skills of students in grade IX SMP Negeri 1 Ketapang. The samples in this study were students of class IX B as the experimental class and students of class IX C as the control class. The design used was a pretest-posttest control group design. The data of this research is quantitative data obtained from a mathematical critical thinking ability test. Based on the results of hypothesis testing using a t-test with α = 0.05, it was found that the increase in mathematical critical thinking ability of students who took part in learning by using H5P interactive media was higher than the increase in mathematical critical thinking ability of students who took part in learning without using H5P interactive media. It can be concluded that the use of H5P interactive media has an effect on students' mathematical critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan kajian literatur sistematis yang bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas pendekatan open-ended problem terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa. Kajian dilakukan terhadap 30 artikel terpilih yang diperoleh dari berbagai database ilmiah. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah content analysis dengan klasifikasi berdasarkan jenjang pendidikan, konteks geografis, pendekatan metodologis, serta dimensi kemampuan yang dikaji. Pada tingkat SD hingga perguruan tinggi, pendekatan open-ended problem efektif dalam menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan pemecahan masalah, mulai dari eksplorasi ide, keterampilan analisis, refleksi, dan fleksibilitas. Secara geografis, penelitian luar negeri cenderung mengadopsi pendekatan yang lebih beragam dan inovatif dengan hasil yang konsisten positif, sementara penelitian dalam negeri juga menunjukkan efektivitas yang baik meski masih menghadapi beberapa tantangan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa open-ended problem secara umum efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan berpikir kreatif siswa. Faktor yang paling berpengaruh terhadap efektivitasnya meliputi kualitas perancangan soal, kompetensi guru, serta keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Studi ini merekomendasikan integrasi open-ended problem dalam praktik pembelajaran matematika untuk menumbuhkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of problem-based learning model on students' mathematical critical thinking skills. The population of this study is all seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Natar even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year as many as 371 students distributed into eleven classes, namely VII A to VII K. Sampling was carried out using purposive sampling technique, so that VII A class of 34 students was selected as the experimental class and VII D of 33 students as the control class. The design used was pretest-posttest control group design. The data in this study are quantitative data obtained through the mathematical critical thinking ability test. Based on the Mann-Whitney U test results, it was found that the improvement in mathematical critical thinking skills of students who participated in learning with problem-based learning was higher than the improvement in mathematical critical thinking skills of students who participated in conventional learning. In addition, based on the results of the proportion test, it was found that more than 60% of students who participated in problem-based learning were categorized as good. So it can be concluded that the problem-based learning model has an effect on students' mathematical critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This development research aims to produce a valid, practical, and effective E-Worksheet based on the discovery-inquiry learning model to enhance students’ mathematical representation ability. The urgency of this study is grounded in the low level of students’ mathematical representation ability and the limited availability of interactive learning media that can connect abstract concepts with real-world contexts. The use of a discovery-inquiry-based E-LKPD offers a potential solution by encouraging students’ active engagement in constructing understanding through exploration and concept discovery. The subjects of this research were seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 4 Bandar Lampung during the 2024/2025 academic year. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model. Data were collected through mathematical representation ability tests and analyzed using a t-test and N-Gain score. The developed E-LKPD was categorized as valid and practical. The effectiveness test showed that the E-LKPD significantly improved students’ mathematical representation ability, with an average N-Gain score of 0,561. Hypothesis testing t-test confirmed that the use of the discovery-inquiry-based E-LKPD is effective in enhancing students’ mathematical representation ability.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop and evaluate “MatHub,” an Android-based interactive multimedia application designed to support students' understanding of number patterns in middle school mathematics. The research followed the ADDIE model, comprising analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The participants included eighth-grade students and a mathematics teacher from SMP Negeri 4 Bandar Lampung. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires. The application was validated by media and content experts, who confirmed its strong visual and linguistic feasibility, as well as the relevance and clarity of its content. Student and teacher feedback highlighted that MatHub featured engaging visuals, user-friendly navigation, and accessible language, which enhanced motivation and comprehension. Revisions were made based on suggestions, particularly to improve multimedia elements. Despite facing limitations related to application size and device compatibility, the product was successfully implemented and received positively. These findings suggest that MatHub is a valid and practical learning tool that can enrich classroom experiences and is recommended for broader application in mathematics education at the junior high school level.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the creative thinking process of students based on Wallas theory in solving mathematical problems. This type of research is qualitative research using qualitative descriptive methods. This research will begin by determining the type of Adversity Quotient using the Adversity Response Profile (ARP) test. The sampling technique is used positive sampling, selected 2 subjects to represent the climber type . The Data collection techniques are used written tests and interviews then analyzing the result based on indicators that fulfill Wallas creative thinking process and its level. The data analysis technique used is according to Milles and Huberman and the data validity technique uses technical triangulation Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that climber 1 is the climber with the creative thinking level that is very creative, Climber 1 is able to fulfill all stages of the creative thinking process by Wallas and its complete characteristics include fluency, flexibility, originality, elaboration. Whereas Climber2 is a climber with creative thinking level that is creative, Climber 2 is able to fulfill all stages of the creative thinking process by Wallas but incomplete on its characteristics.

Abstract

Background: Students' mathematical problem-solving ability and adversity quotient remain low, particularly in learning environments that lack contextual approaches. Problem-based learning (PBL) has proven effective in improving these skills, especially when supported by interactive technology such as E-LKPD.Aim: This study aims to develop a PBL-based E-LKPD that is valid, practical, and effective in enhancing students' problem-solving abilities and AQ.Method: The research employed the ADDIE development model with eighth-grade students from SMP Negeri in Banjar Baru as the subjects. The practicality sample consisted of 6 students selected through purposive sampling, while the effectiveness sample included 60 students selected through random sampling. Data were collected through observations, interviews, questionnaires, and problem-solving tests, then analyzed using descriptive statistics and t-tests.Result: PBL-based E-LKPD was deemed valid, with an average score of 87% from content experts and 85% from media experts. Its practicality was rated as excellent, with scores of 91% from both students and educators. An Independent Sample t-test on N-gain data indicated that the E-LKPD effectively improved students' mathematical problem-solving abilities and AQ (??? = 0.00 < ? = 0.05).Conclusion: The PBL-based E-LKPD has been proven valid, practical, and effective in enhancing students' mathematical problem-solving abilities and adversity quotient, making it a viable and innovative alternative in the learning process.

Abstract

Background: Mathematical representation skills are essential for understanding and applying mathematical concepts. However, many students struggle to connect abstract concepts to real-life situations, making it difficult for them to improve their representation skills.Aim: This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach, supported by scaffolding, in improving students' mathematical representation skills.Method: The study followed the ADDIE model, which includes five steps: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The participants were 50 second-semester students from classes A, C, and D in the Mathematics Education program at UIN Raden Intan Lampung.Results: The development of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) model with scaffolding was validated by eight expert validators, confirming its validity and practicality. The model was designed to align with learning objectives, incorporate real-world contexts, and provide structured scaffolding tailored to students’ needs. During implementation, the model demonstrated practicality as students actively engaged with learning activities and gradually developed independence in problem-solving. The effect size calculation of 0.9, categorized as high, confirmed the model’s effectiveness in significantly enhancing students' mathematical representation skills.Conclusion: The RME approach with scaffolding is an effective method to improve the quality of mathematics learning in higher education. It helps students better understand and apply mathematical concepts by linking them to practical problems.
